This is a fabulous hotel to begin or end your Shimanami Kaido adventure. They look after you very well!
It is very convenient for the bike rental centre and the train station.

In our 3 week trip around Japan this was the best value hotel that we enjoyed. We took the single room for two deal and it was fine for us two tall people.

After a couple of days wending my way from Onomichi to Imabari on the Shimanami Kaido the Shimanami Prime Hotel Imabari proved to be a great choice for my final night in the Seto Inland Sea area.

This is the heart of the city.
It stands out and is the first thing you see of Imabari coming from the Shiminami Kaido.

We stayed here as part of a tour group for one night.
The room was a nice size for Japan, the shower was excellent.
The WiFI was reliable. The hotel has a nice bar on a higher floor.

Had a lovely stay in this traditional Ryokan before starting our cycle on the Shimanami Kaido! All the staff were very friendly.

Large room, comfy beds, and wonderfully smelling straw mats. Very cute place would stay again. Short 20m walk from train station through the shopping district.

Rooms: Dated but well equipped including new fittings in the unit bath in my room. What they lack, they more than make up with good service attitude. However, the bed was just too soft.

I stayed at the Sada house, room 102. It has an old days atmosphere, nicely decorated with eye for detail. But it has also all the modern amenities you could wish for.

We stayed in room 701 TAKE. It was absolutely amazing. It’s like staying in a national trust house. We had a private onsen style bath.

Fantastic hotel with an open air bath in the room. Very good value for the price. Also their public onsen are clean and nice.

We had the most wonderful private dining experience in our room. I’d like to commend our server, Maki, who was a paragon of compassion, kindness, wisdom and professionalism. She made our evening.

Located in a great location. Walk out the front door and you are in the middle of a busy market. However, it is not loud and the room was quiet. Everything was clean and comfortable.

The location is near the station. You have to tell the taxi driver to go to Shieki. There is another train station with a similar name in the area.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It's location right above Matsuyama City station made our commutes easy and convenient.

We had the pleasure of staying at this extraordinary ryokan during a short stop on our journey through Japan, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip.

We had an excellent stay at Azumi Setoda.

Very reasonably priced hotel. The best is the breakfast. Only extra 500 yen you can have all the tasty vegetables and other things. The downside is windows are not soundproofed well.

Extremely convenient well-priced hotel with very nice rooms. Sink was in the room which was a bit odd but toilet was separate from the bath which was nice. Room was extremely comfortable.

I used to live in Matsuyama my first six years. I was looking for a place very close to down town, in order to have easy access to all attractions and main shopping streets/malls.

A less than 5 mins walk from Matsuyama Station. Room was spacious and came w all amenities.

We stayed here for a martial arts seminar. I am very glad that we did. The weather did not help as it was quite hot. The room was excellent as I slept like a log.

This home style hotel is definitely one rank above many others.
With only 11 rooms they cater for a few exclusive clients.

This is such a great place to stay with very kind people. We stayed as part of our cycle on the Shimanami Kaido. The kitchen is perfect and there’s a convenience store close by bike.

I’ve been to Japan twice and this is probably the best housing I’ve ever stayed in. Such a great, natural, traditional feel but also modern at the same time.

On arrival a young male staffmember was rude to my guest BUT within minutes a meeting was arranged with the Manager who treated us with amazing respect and totally understood our feelings.

Booked thru booking. Com for cheaper rates and stayed 3N. The perfect hotel to stay for a short trip into the city. But 10mins away from the castle as well as right opposite a major shopping district.

Nice hotel in Shikoku Chuo. Staff friendly and welcoming.
Room was ok size for one person. Bed comfortable.
Long pillow a bit hard so I got softer one from reception area.
Aircon and Wi-Fi good.

This was my second Super Hotel stay on Shikoku, and it was night and day difference with my previous experience in another city.

Great location, facilities are all well kept. Lots to do for families.
I would have given it 5 stars had it not been for a disappointing dinner service.

As we knew that there wouldn’t be many attraction on these days, we decided for a Japanese Style Hotel and we had great moments there.
The reception was spectacular! Everybody welcome us very well.

I searched for glamping, but since it was cold, I ended up staying at GLAMPROOK Shimanami, which also has a hotel building.

WAKKA was easily one of the best stays of our trip and exceeded our expectations in every way.
The cycling support is outstanding.

We decided to spend a night in Wakka during our journey along Shimanami Kaido, and it turned out to be an incredible decision!
