Budget-friendly places around Ine Bay are often tucked away from the main inlet, so it is a good idea to check local bus fares and timetables ahead of time—buses run quite infrequently. Also, keep in mind the difference between a small guesthouse and a private room in a traditional boat house (funaya), where bathrooms are usually shared on the floor. Take a moment to check the route and the home's amenities before you book.
