What a wonderful stay and experience. I've stayed in Kyoto many times, but this was the first time we decided to stay at Watazen Ryokan for a different experience from a typical hotel.

This property was wonderful and enabled me to be relaxed during my stay. Solo travel or in a group. The facility is very well located.

This is a great location if you want to get away but still be close to the action.

We had a lovely 2 night stay. The location is fantastic, close to restaurants the nishiki markets and all public transport. The rooms are large clean and comfortable.

Stayed here back in February for one night and it was a phenomenal stay.

Beautiful hotel with a great service.
Every morning you can go to see the Buddhist ceremony which I recommend to do at least once.

I had an amazing stay at Seryo and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a bit of calm and peace in this crazy world.

This wonderful Ryokan is surrounded by spectacular forests and beautiful temples. The Ryokan was beautifully laid out and very comfortable and calming.

Ours was a very large and spacious room, Plenty of beds, 2 bathrooms, mini kitchen, washer/dryer.

Lovely hotel with lovely staff. Really convenient for getting out to see Kyoto. Super comfortable beds and very little noise.

Garden Villa Denshin An is a place of serenity, thoughtfully designed with lots of attention to details. Yu and the staff were genuine, kind and attentive, making us feel welcome from the start.

This place is absolutely perfect. We will stay here again if we return to Kyoto.
It is not in the main downtown area.

Recently stayed at the KéFU stay and lounge for my short stay in Kyoto, and I only have positive things to say.

I stayed at KéFU stay & lounge, for a short duration. However during my 4 days I was able to throughly enjoy my time.
The service was incredible and the food was amazing.

The exact ryokan experience we were hoping to get in Kyoto. Beautiful, traditional building and rooms, absolutely incredible Japanese breakfast each morning, and comfortable futons.

I stayed in the single room at Inn Kawashima for 7 nights. It’s a quiet place to rest and recharge after going out for the day.

We stayed for one night in this beautifully designed apartment in Ine, and it was truly unforgettable.

I took 6 months to look through all the funaya in Ine online, and lastly I book with Cafe & BB Guri.

I booked Japanese Style room. The room is spacious. With plenty of space for our 4 luggages. The futons is very comfy.

Stay here if you want to experience culture while staying at an excellent Kyoto location. My husband and I stayed on here on our first trip to Japan in a tatami room.

A very cute Japanese Ryokan. Very nice host, good food and a lot of choice for your beautiful yukata during the stay. Love it so much.

The location was still a close walk to the train station, but the neighborhood was pretty quiet at night. This did suit a ryokan as we were relaxing in the onsen.

Has clean onsen, they provide dinner and breakfast! We booked the Japanese room, they served our meals in a separate japanese room! The staff are so friendly and nice!

I had an excelent solo stay at the yuzuya ryokan. The location is awesome, right next to Yasaka Shrine. It is still quiet inside the ryokan, though.

This hotel was a great experience and immersive in the Japanese culture. My boyfriend and I felt the staff were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and kind. They went above and beyond expectations.

Such an amazing traditional experience if you are ever in Kyoto. The owners make you feel so welcome and at home. Service was 10/10 and I had the best nights sleep.

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful 2 night stay at Izuyasu. The service staff were incredibly attentive and accommodated our every request.

The price may seem a tad high at first but it's not in the end. You get massive breakfast and dinners, that are at an extremely high level, and contain a diversity of dishes.

15min drive from Hanazono Station, in the mountains. Tranquil air. Beautiful service. Delicious food.

Service was top-notch; view from the private bath was beautiful! Meals were alright — the Ryokan we visited n the outskirts of Tokyo set a high bar for us so in comparison we were a tad disappointed.

Traditional room and experience. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The traditional breakfast was amazing — tip: order less than you would otherwise because it is a lot of food.

You get what you pay for considering the look and the bathrooms in the rooms.

The best hospitality in Kyoto! The entire staff was super welcoming and friendly, and we were well taken care of throughout the stay. The room was very spacious and the onsen was relaxing.

This hotel delivers an amazing experience, blending aesthetic beauty, Japanese tradition, comfort, and warm hospitality.

Excellent accomodations within easy walking distance of Nijo Station. Do keep in mind that the Guest House is closed between noon and 5pm. The host, Tomi, is wonderful and very kind.

Tommy-san was very accommodating and always checked in to make sure everything is alright. Wish I could have stayed a few more nights but I’ll save that for another time.

I love this traditional Japanese hotel! It was perfect. Staff was incredibly friendly, hotel itself is easily accessible in Kyoto, about 5-10min walk from Nishiki Fish Market.
