Hotels in Hokkaido with a Pool

A non frill small hotel with a great cafe at the lobby. The pastries are high quality and delicious. The onsen is very hot but we can use the grand onsen at a big hotel opposite.

Fantastic hotel, extremely comfortable, modern, with the best café in town at the lobby. You have to try their creations!
Staff was kind, bathroom was luxurious, beds clean and super comfy.

The building is showing its age, but the baths and food are outstanding. Hot and cold baths inside plus sauna. Hot bath outside as well. There is also a swimming pool.

I did not stay at hotel, but only use the hot spring, but I was very satisfied with the facilities and water quality. Also, the staff welcomed me kindly.

Very nice accommodation but a little hard to climb to sleep up stair for heavy people. The host is friendly.

Sweet B&B near Tomamu resort. Rooms are small — so pack light! The public bath also very welcome after a day on the slope. The owners were really helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

I just had a fantastic stay at this Grand Mercure. Staffs were super friendly and nice and kind. Lounge was huge and free! Room not brand new but very clean, elegant and classy.

Great place! I stayed in the pod, which locked with its own key card. Very clean. Large breakfast buffet included. Free shuttle to the lift, but you need to walk back.

We stayed in the capsules and it was seriously perfect for the price — what a bargain!

My first time in Niseko started with a rocky start to check in, had to change rooms (after unpacking everything) and refrigerator not working in new room.

We enjoyed our stay at the Green Leaf. They were very accommodating to our group and the ambience is very nice. The food was good and service was great.

Wonderful hotel, really liked the Japanese style room I had. The provided yukatas were very nice! The onsen is greatly relaxing. The breakfast is something else, the French toast was great.

Nice little touristy town with a few things to do. However, the town exists because of the hotsprings. So people come maily for the Onsen. Managed well but be warned: you go in the nude!

Very near to Sapporo Station, the hotel is located at the north exit, near Hokkaido University, and is convenient for going to and from New Chitose Airport.

We came to Sapporo and stayed here 3 times. The location is good only less than 10 minutes walk to Sapporo station but it located on the north side of station which there was nothing very much.

Stayed two nights here and everything is very clean and works beautifully well. The kitchen and lounge area are especially welcoming features for someone who’s been traveling longer than a weekend.

Great quality of water for experienced Japan traditional onsen explorers. It’s an old hotel so facility is a bit outdated. One big tub max 6 people at once.

I was able to find some really delicious food and a relaxing hot spring. I stayed for 2 nights with a plan that included dinner, but the dinner menu was different on both days with about 9 items.

Breakfast and diner with fresh ingrediënts made with love every day, beers by the fireplace and within 5 minutes in the skilift! Very cozy interior, clean bathroom with bath and perfect beds.

The beef and pork yakitori with parsley Mayo was better than the $140.00 wagyu steak I had in Kyoto… oh my lord it was the best thing I've ever eaten!

Great hotel but isolated location. Huge hotel with main wing and annex, but you never see the crowds other than during breakfast and when using the onsen.

Definitely enjoyed the washitsu, the welcome manju was a very nice touch.

This place is perfect for your ski holidays. If you like to discover ski resorts or just do skitouring in the area, this is place to go. Easy access and not far from main ski areas in the region.

My family of 5 had a good experience at Hotel Mahoroba. It is a large hotel that caters to tour groups. We all stayed in one tatami room which was fairly spacious by Japanese standards.
Pros.

We stayed at this hotel at the end of July 2026 for our summer vacation.
The first impression?

We stayed at Jozankei Manseikaku Hotel Milione on our second night of the trip. The room was cozy, organized, and quiet. While we were out, the staff helped set up our futons.

I stayed and skied here recently. Location is perfect! Its basically a ski in ski out resort, and ski rentals locker and dining facilities are all great.

The resort is just outside the beginner's ski area on the West Side of Rusutsu. You need to take the East Gondola to get to the West side with the better and more exciting runs.

Customer hospitality is excellent.
Rooms are not well designed. The toilet/shower area is very cramped and the sink is next to the bed. Which means it becomes a little messy and noisy in the morning.

The dinner's awesome. You can never eat anything like this at this price in Tokyo.

We’ve stayed here for two nights. The hotel is quite old and needs to be renovated everywhere. However breakfast is fair, though not many selection, you can still find something to eat.

We had a great stay here. Yes the place is kind of old and in need of renovation but it was also clean, comfortable and well located.
