I stayed with my partner and my dog ​​for 2 nights in the La Cicerbita Suite.

Brand new structure, the rooms are very well looked after both internally and externally. The management of the structure is home automation and perfectly efficient.

This hotel combines professional design with family hospitality. We stayed here overnight twice on our trip up north from Sicily. It's very welcoming, comfortable, and with a wonderful breakfast.

Stunning rustic hotel.
Unfortunately I only stayed the one night.
Stone floors and stairs could be a problem for some.

Sleeping in one of their rooms is truly an amazing experience. Their interior garden is intimate and offers some shade, they offer fluffy towels & slippers + anything you could need for the bathroom.

This was my second visit to Le Dodici Luna and we thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and the lovely, spacious room. I highly recommend this hotel if you visit Matera.

Lovely cave room in Matera, window had the famous view of the other side of the city. Room had everything, breakfast was amazing anything on the menu with gorgeous views over the city.

Great place, great food, great staff. It can't get any better. Internet works well, all inclusive breakfast was worth waking up early. Don't miss it, best hotel in the city.

Casa Diva was an amazing find! The property is stunning, with so much attention to detail in both the design and atmosphere. What truly stood out, though, was the warm and personalized service.

We had a wonderful stay at Lamia Room Rentals. The location is situated just a short walk from the historic center, making it the perfect base for exploring Matera on foot.

This was absolutely perfect for us overnight. The interior is so cleverly designed and it’s only a short walk to the amazing centre.

I cannot speak highly enough of our two-night stay at Aque Cave with our kids aged 4, 13, and 14. It's an authentic cave in the Sasso Caveoso, sensitively remodeled with all the amenities of a luxury

Our stay at Il Palazzotto was outstanding.
We stayed in Suite 3, and everything exceeded our expectations. The aesthetics of both the suite and the common areas are absolutely stunning.

The bed and breakfast is very close to the center and the Sassi of Matera. The lady is very helpful, the rooms are well furnished and the breakfast is satisfying. Advised.

Excellent location and welcome from the friendly and kind owner who makes up for the absence of a lift. Tip: bring light hand luggage!

Tenuta Danesi is a large old farmhouse complex set in the middle of huge cornfields which has been rebuilt by a modernist architect who has changed it beyond recognition into a very impressive small

My husband and I stayed in the Bubble Room at Tenuta Danesi, and it was truly one of the most incredible experiences we’ve ever had.

We stayed here June 2025. Giacomo is a wonderful host. The rooms are great. The location is right in the middle of the Sassi. So amazing! He also has an agreement for parking in the new area of town.

Giacomo immediately made us feel welcome and was available and willing to help with anything we needed.

The location is excellent being only about a 3 minute walk to the entrance of the old city and less than 10 minute walk to multiple great restaurants, some being much less than that.

It was a very nice stay at the In & Out B&B in Matera. Cosy and very clean room, delicious breakfast and Mariella is a perfect host. It is very convenient to get to the Old Town of Matera from there.

A spectacular environment to say the least. A mix of history and modernity.
Our room was very original high bed Materano.

Very nice structure, top room! Even my furry friend was welcomed well and had space to run around. Logistically 10, very close to Matera.

How beautiful Anna's house is! New, modern, clean, welcoming, well-kept environment. A few minutes' drive from Matera, it is located in the greenery of the first suburbs.

Place is clean and very pretty. It’s quite close to the city centre. Our train and bus was late, so we arrived quite late and the owner was kind enough to wait for us. I highly recommend this place.

Very good service, clean, neat and well located (you have to walk but it is worth it, because 3 blocks away you are in the center and it is full of people).
