Wonderful find for a 3 star hotel — stayed for 4 nights.

Everything in the hotel was excellent, starting from the sparkling clean rooms, and going through the beautiful gardens, the delicious food and the friendly and helpful staff.

To be Special something needs to exceptional. And there are several facets that make this one Extra Special.

A relaxing weekend in a very suggestive setting. Location with great attention to detail and attentive and courteous service. We will definitely be back for a longer stay.

The structure is new, large and well-kept, a few kilometers from the motorway exit and in the middle of a beautiful wooded landscape. Very sought after for parties such as weddings, baptisms, etc.

Our stay at the San Giorgio Hotel was a unique cave experience in this very special town.

The experience was very nice. We just had a small problem with the hot water, which was immediately fixed on a Sunday.

We had a delightful time with our friends staying at the Spazi Gargin Residence.
The location, cleanliness, the welcoming staff and amenities nearby were all excellent.
We wanted to extend our day.

What an awesome place! Cave room experience in Matera but what struck me as exceptional was the staff. Room was very cool. We booked directly from hotel.

This was a unique, historic, and fantastic hotel! It is in a great location, not just in terms of getting around the city, but also since it is a short 2 min walk (up or down steps) to get a taxi.

This Hotel is in a great location above the Sassi area surrounded with restaurants and View Areas of the Sassi.
Free parking on the street was easy, but not plentiful.

We had the most beautiful stay here at the Albergo Italia, Matera.

Our stay at La Gemma Dei Sassi was wonderful. The location was perfect for exploring the Sassi, making it very convenient for our visit.

We stayed 2 nights here and it was absolutely amazing. The breakfast room — the view!
The location is really near to the city centre — just walk distance.

I spent 3 nights at Casa Festa during my visit in Matera and I only had good things to say about this lovely cute guest house. I had a room facing the gorge and it was really quiet and enjoyable.

The location is excellent with an underground garage 100m away. Direct access to the old town areas. Rooms are amazing with high stone vaulted ceilings, and superb shower rooms. Very comfortable bed.

Structure located in an excellent position, a few steps from the centre.

We went on New Year's Eve. Rented two triples and one double. Excellent location, in front of the castle and a stone's throw from the centre. Nice design, everything clean and tidy.

Lovely hotel located right in the caves of Matera. Welcomed by one of the owner who was amazing and available for every question we had and very helpful to find a delicious restaurant for our diner.

Really lovely family room for the five of us, situated in a tranquil part of the old town. Very helpful and welcoming staff and delicious homemade breakfast. Touristic recommendations were great too.

It was quite an experience staying in a cave hotel! It's not easy to retrofit facilities in a cave so don't expect luxurious bathrooms or decor.

A unique hotel with great views over matera. Our Room built into the cave but still very good with all modern conveniences.

The house is beautifully renovated, and the rooms are new and well furnished. A very friendly and helpful place to stay. Lucia gave us lots of great tips about the area.

A very friendly family runs this hotel perfectly. The two sisters make a wonderful team together with their father!
