Had a layover from Cuba. 14 of us. Went to check in and they first said we had no reservation. Then they say the travel agent didn’t pay for it. We had to call our travel agent and wake her up Sunday night and she had to run to the office to resend the paper work. Then they get it for a second time and start hassling us about an additional 100 dollar deposit. Meanwhile we had five kids ready for bed. We were all exhausted and they were so rude and it was their mess up. Finally get our rooms. Not one sorry for their mistake. Still rude like we had done something wrong. Then we request wake up calls. Two didn’t get them for 4:45am and one room got it at 2:00am. Not sure if that was out of spite. Then was the shuttle on time? Nope but as we are leaving, one front desk person told us to enjoy the rest of our trip. I hope put travel agent puts in a complaint and they never use this place again. Worst experience I have ever had travelling and will never recommend this place. Low class staff with no costumer services skills what so ever.

Rooms are lovely, beds very comfortable but the icing on the cake is the staff at the restaurant. Every night we were greeted politely, treated excellent and food was amazing. Massive shout out to the moxie staff for making our stay so enjoyable! Highly recommend. 5

Before we booked this hotel we specifically asked if there was any restrictions for covid with the pool and they said absolutely not when we get here not only do u have to book a time slot but you are only aloud 1 hour a day when we travelled with kids… o top I off the pool was closed for 2 days because heatin did not work! then the front desk never answers your room calls for anything and if u need something there is no service at all you have to get out of your room to get anything even towels the cleaning lady says she cant give them to me. Than upon booking I specifically asked if there was a charge for parking and the lady said not at all its included than the desk attendant tells me otherwise. I am not impressed at ALL this should be a motel not a hotel!
I called the day I checked inn to move hotels yet nobody ever calls you back I hd to call back non stop and still hey never called me once now they are telling me they will bot compensate for anything! Horrible horrible service will never go there ever again.

Stayed there for park and fly. Unfortunately the shuttle experience was terrible. Ended up having to take a taxi to airport as small shuttle was full when we tried to book.
Arrived home at 0140 hours and had to wait until 0500 hours to get shuttle back to Sandman to pick up our vehicle.
Driver wouldn’t open door as we stood out in cold while our husbands helped with luggage, then he left door open in 10’ below weather as he gabbed to someone.
He had a sign in shuttle stating Tips are appreciated. That was a little tacky!

Usually get a suite. This time no luck. Room lacks plugs and you have to move the coffee maker to get to one. Beds are great.

I have stayed at Sandman several times in advance of flights out of Pearson and most recently after a long-haul flight into Toronto. The hotel is perfectly located, the airport shuttle is efficient, staff are professional and personable, rooms are clean and a good size, and I find the beds to be very comfortable. Excellent on site restaurant and well supplied tea and coffee in the rooms.

We have stayed 4 or 5 times. No problems. Great shuttle.

The room was spacious and close to my destination. On the down side either the room or the hallway smelled like second hand smoke. Also it could use a bit of upgrades to the washroom and a used washcloth was left in the room upon check in. The bed was extremely comfortable and the AC worked very well. The lobby has a Moxy's restaurant that is very convenient. Also extremely close to the airport if that's a concern. They have a very nice lobby with nice seating and televisions.

Fantastic hotel located near Toronto Airport. If you're looking for wonderful staff and the most comfortable rooms this is the place. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are mini suites. There is a mini kitchen and sitting room so you can work and make your own food should you wish. The bathroom was very clean and the shower had great water pressure for those of you worried about the showers. Definitely the hotel I would recommend if you have to stay near the Toronto Airport.

Forced to stay here after my flight was cancelled. However, probably one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in for what I paid. The restaurant downstairs was kind of expensive for what I was looking for but was a nice dinner with excellent staff. Even though my stay was less than 10 hours I had a very comfortable stay. Only complaint is the airport shuttle driver was a bit crass. But that was completely washed out by the overall greatness I experienced.

Always a great experience at the Sandman. Staff are what makes it for me. The Moxie's restaurant is great and is one of the few in the area that incorporates a changing menu. Rooms are as you'd expect from a typical four star hotel although as far as space per room is concerned you get what you pay for. Families, it worth paying a little extra for some more space in a larger room.

Whenever I have to fly out of Pearson, I’d always do park and fly at the Sandman Airport, as do most of my family. Last week, we booked a park and fly for our departure and return.
When we showed up, we were disappointed that the restaurant was closed, but we weren’t told about it at the time of booking, those familiar with the area know that there’s not a whole lot of places to go nearby, and the in hotel restaurant is Moxies which is always great, so we got bad news immediate arrival. We had booked some sort of premium room, with balcony and seating area. When we got to the room, our balcony was padlocked shut, when we called the front desk we were told they would ask a manager what could be done, and call us back. After an hour, we called back because we had not received the returned call, just to be told that they spoke to a manager and nothing could be done. After voicing our dissatisfaction, the hotel staff offered to upgrade our stay for our return room. So, today we landed. We called the hotel, and requested the shuttle, we were told it would be there in 15 minutes, we waited about double that, but that is probably Pearson Airport more than the Sandman, but it still puts you in a bad mood. We check in, the rate was slightly less than the first night, so we figured it was because of the free upgrade we were to receive.

Hotel was being renovated and we weren't made aware. Good service was occurring in a banquet room with limited hours. Hotel room was not very clean. We arrived to hotel late and was told we weren't able to get another face towel (only 1 in room) because there was no one there from house keeping. They did have shuttle and that was convenient as well a Starbucks in the lobby. Just expected more from an airport hotel. Definitely a 3 star hotel.

I always book here when my family comes in. They love it The room is huge and we love that they offer plates and extra cups and glasses a toaster and a tea kettle in the kitchenette.! The living room is really nice and it gives you a feeling of being at home.

Wi-Fi was slow as dial-up 15 years ago in developing countries. The parking isn't free. The breakfast wasn't included. I needed to call to my room few times from outside and every time I had to wait 15-20 rings before reception answers the phone. The swimming pool did not have slides shown on the picture in the lobby. And there was only one bed in the room! I feel totally screwed up. The hotel is like budget airline for the price of luxury. I wasn’t looking for the cheapest hotel to stay and it wasn’t cheapest at all. It was my first and last time here.

It's good and close to the airport. The restaurant is much better than expected. And there's a little Starbucks right at the entrance. What they lack is the power to change currency, something necessary when you travel.

The Sandman chain is decorated with such prestige and high-class, and this particular location raises the bar. It is connected to Moxie's, which is filled with incredibly helpful and friendly staff and management alike. An added bonus is that the restaurant provides room service and, if you are staying at the hotel, free roam with your food/drinks to your room after having paid your bill. From the main lobby to the individual rooms, this location invites you into its own world as everything is so well-maintained, staff are so friendly and the rooms are always in top shape. The TV selection is great, the washroom is stocked up and the living room space is spacious enough to separate work from one's sleeping quarters. This has been, and will continue to be, the first contact for temporary residence on trips of any nature. Do give this wonderful location a try! PS.

Good location — proximity to airport and easy access to major highways. Food — meeting meals and snacks catered by Moxie's. Excellent food! Meeting space — staff very attentive and professional, responsive to guests and meeting facilitator needs. Starbucks on site — morning gs only.

Front desk staff were not welcoming and didnt apologize when I complained that I waited over 30 min for a shuttle that didnt come. It was 11pm and we gave up and took a taxi. Bathroom amenities are almost non existent and like those found in lower quality hotels. No usb charging outlets or even working electrical outlets in the room! Had to take the coffee machine to the bathroom to plug in. Ridiculous. Avoid this place.

Good hotel to rest and close to the airport. Except for the in house bar, it's fairly removed from other restaurants and entertainment. Rooms are a bit tired, but clean. Meeting rooms aren't well setup, but the food was better than expected.

Very pleased with room and amenities of this hotel. Management staff attended to a request made during my staff very efficiently and professionally. Enjoyed a nice meal with family at Moxies and food and service was great! Consider your next stay to be at this hotel. Safe travels!

The rooms and the restaurant are great.

The amenities were fantastic! It's a clean and safe hotel and area! There is a Moxies attached so that was very convenient.

The hotel was a fine hotel. Clean and with friendly staff. Being near the airport meant that you can hear the planes coming into landing at the airport. This is to be expected when at an airport hotel. Our main complaint was the paper thin walls. We could hear everything and everyone one in the rooms next to ours. It was quite disconcerting to listen to conversations amongst the guests as we tried to sleep at night. On the plus side was: that there were plenty of pillows for our beds; the staff left us alone when we were in our room during the day and cleaned our room when we asked them too.

A bit disappointed with the hotel. The room was OK, but the level of security in the hotel is shocking. About 15 mins after checking in we received a call to the room from someone asking questions about who was in the room. I told them to jog on and hung up the phone! Then about an hour in to the stay there was a knock on the door. When I answered the door there was some random there with scruffy clothes on, a baseball cap and stinking of alcohol. He told me that he was from security and there were “issues” so I asked to see some ID. He then told me that “I knew where he was from”. I gave him a few choice words and he left. I reported this to the front desk and they could not have been less interested. They made no attempt to take a description, or send anyone to look if this individual was trying to gain access to other people’s rooms. I was travelling with family including my daughters and would absolutely not feel safe in having them stay here in the future.

The shuttle service from the airport did not pick us up. We watched it drive right by. The front desk was rude in the am. Starbucks opens at 7am which is interesting considering most early international flights demand you be at the airport much earlier. Our room was missing a table. Overall very poor. The Moxie restaurant staff was great.

Far from Toodo, the restaurant is good although a little varied menu but the waitresses compensate:)

1st time in hotel & in Toronto. Hotel was basic. Front desk services were uppity. Horrible experience & rude, racist locals the moment I step foot in this country. Canada sucks. Ready to go back to America. Eff Canada. Eff this hotel.

This hotel was great. The staff were friendly and the shuttle to the airport was punctual. We wanted to be close to the airport for an early morning flight and so there was some noise due to the aircraft but was to be expected. We enjoyed staying in the Jacuzzi suite and we ate at the Moxies which was attached to the hotel. We would likely stay there again.

The hotel is located a short distance from the airport making it convenient for conferences that bring people from multiple destinations. The rooms are a good size with a nice and current decor. They come with the standard conveniences, such as a coffee maker, and a hair dryer. Most importantly, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the shuttle service was reliable.

This is a very nice hotel. I always get the large corner rooms, they're fantastic. Staff is nice and shuttle service is timely. Starbucks and Moxies downstairs for food. Shuttle will also take you around a certain radius but of course, airport routes are always priority. Nice gym but it isn't 24 hours. Would recommend to anybody. Fairly close to the airport.

Perfect If you are late and tired to the airport and don't want to take a car or taxi to get around too. A few 5km from the airport with pick-Up service. Spacious and cosy Rooms, despite being very close to the airport, the sound of the airplanes was not annoying not to say non-existent in the middle of the night. It Has a highly recommended restaurant on the main floor which is very popular and crowded in the evenings at dinner time. You should book a table and not go too late if you want to secure a table. The price of the hotel is economical compared to the offer in Toronto, great value for money.

Large rooms for a hotel near the airport.

Our instructions on booking the hotel were to call for instructions on how to catch the shuttle to the hotel from the airport. That did not work out so well. First, the airport has “dead zones” where there is no cellphone coverage and secondly, if lucky to actually get a connection, the line to the hotel is invariably busy and you get shunted to a menu which appears to be the hotel’s generic menu with no option to connect to an actual person. Fortunately, on the fifth attempt, I did manage to get through to a person at the Toronto hotel who provided details of how often the shuttle runs and where to meet it. The big fail was that it was not clear whether the shuttle stops at both arrivals and departures or only departures. We missed the first run because we were at the wrong place but did manage to catch the next run. Twelve minutes later, we were at the front door of the hotel. Good shuttle service. The hotel itself was just fine – a little dated (would have liked USB outlets on bedside tables), the décor somewhat bland and the room lighting is a little harsh but overall it was a nice, quiet hotel and one that we would probably use again when flying out of Toronto.

We usually stay at the Sheraton attached to the airport but it's becoming too expensive. Took a chance on this chain as it was half the price of the Sheraton and most other nearby hotels and was very pleasantly surprised. Shuttle was a little confusing and it took a couple of calls to sort out but when we did meet up, it was a quick ride to the hotel. Check-in very efficient. Room bigger than I expected, relatively quiet given its proximity to the airport. Beds/pillows comfy. But, the toilet didn't work and hubby had to fiddle with it to get it working. Also, there is no onscreen TV guide except for a list of channels so that was pretty useless for us. Shuttle service in the morning was on time and fast. Will definitely stay here again.

We had a clean, quiet room. Having a shuttle directly to the airport was great and took a lot of stress off our trip. The pool was nice, and not too cold, which is a plus. The only downside is that they're possibly part of Hydra (see photo for evidence).

Excellent Hotel close to Pearson Airport, quality restaurant and delicious breakfast à la carte.

Rooms are clean. Looks good. Has a pool. Close to the airport. No shuttle though. Not that I know of anyways. Staff pretty friendly. Quite modern. Booked a bigger room so could crash on the couch outside the room.

We had a beautiful suite, room 1120, view of the golf course was great, amenities and size of rooms were unexpectedly good value, highly recommend.

What a great place! The rooms were very clean, and the staff was friendly. We had a minor issue with our shuttle to the airport (they forgot to schedule us a shuttle even though we repeatedly told them at check in) The gentleman working the desk called the shuttle and they arrived quite quickly. On our flight home we got redirected to Montreal for the night and of course we were concerned about our vehicles. We immediately called the hotel and they assured us it wasn’t a problem and our vehicles were fine for another night. Once again they were extremely nice and at least there was one less thing to worry about. Thank you for your hospitality. It was a pleasure booking at your hotel.

Clean and cozy room. Spacious and very comfortable. Location is easy to get to with lots of parking. Would definitely visit again.

Rooms were marvelous and the staff was very helpful. We got a room beside the elevators but I couldn't hear it at all. The rooms were in great condition and it was a pleasant stay.

I love that there is a kitchen in the suite with a full size fridge and stove oven. The room is spacious. It's a great place to stay at.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. The lighting in the bathroom was very good. It was nice to have the coffee machine to start the day. Overall, the stay was very good.

Great place. Pool was a good size with hot tub. It was a small arear for sitting. Rooms were clean. One stain on the blanket but they replace it. The shower made so much noise. Whining loudly.

Got the penthouse suite and it was awesome. Love tub next to the bed, full kitchen, great view and comfortable bed. Not any plugs by the bed which was weird but there were some on the desk. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

This hotel is great. The staff treats you great. We have had issues a couple of times but quickly fixed. We have been upgraded to a top notch penthouse room twice The manager is Bai I believe and he goes above and beyond. The staff remember us each time we are there The best choice around.

Incredible rooms. Friendly staff and very accommodating. Close to everything you need and relatively priced. I highly recommend it and I will be staying there again.

This hotel is great for business & stopover travel. Great hospitality and clean rooms. The bathroom ceiling needed some work.

Sweet suite! Awesome King suite was a welcome home away from home.

Stayed for a hockey tournament the for 2 nights. Was very happy with the room. We booked a king suite. The beds were super comfy and the room was very clean. I loved the fact that we had a fridge/microwave and even dishes/cutlery. There was also a nice blow dryer (not those crappy small ones that are usually in hotels) The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Every time I walked by they would smile and say hi. The location was great. I really don't have anything bad to say about this hotel.

Lovely and recently updated hotel, rooms are nicely appointed and well laid out. Coffee Shop in lobby and restaurant. Gym is slightly sub par, but the hotel as a whole is redeeming. Hotel — Airport van was quick and nice.

We enjoyed the stay at the Sandman Signature Hotel however the paying for parking was not communicated up front. The reason I say this is that I asked what the deposit was for and the employee just said, " just for phones and room service. " We left feeling like it was a hidden fee because it was not clearly stated. Then the employee said it on the Expedia website. We believe she know this in advance.

The location and amenities are very convenient. We made use of the Moxie's and the small but comfortable hot tub. The deal for week-long parking and staying before our flight was very good, and the airport shuttle was quick and comfortable. Our only complaint is the beds, which were saggy. Overall, a very good option for a pre-flight stay.

Nice room, quick check in. Breakfast was underwhelming, very expensive with a limited selection and poor, slow service.

The bar-restaurant Moxies is great but the hotel is over priced considering it's a cheap airport hotel, the bathrooms are disappointing and the rooms need to be redesigned with artwork on the walls.

Cheat people with long distance calls, be careful n everything is too expensive.

Stayed 2 nights there. Despite the close proximity to the airport no aircraft noise. The team has given us 2 King Suites rather than normal rooms without charge because they were not busy. Top service! If I should once again come to Toronto anyway Sandmans.

Close to the airport, convenient to where I want to go, nice rooms, wonderful staff. Bonus. Moxies is attached to the hotel.

Although a notch above a normal Sandman, it's not enough of a difference to call it a luxury brand. However, based on price and what you get, it's a good value.
