Amazing Hotel! Love the friendly calgarian service and the delicious breakfast. Great restaurant on site. Also very clean rooms for affordable prices. Calgary tower is just 15min away if you came to town for that, this Hotel is meant for you. Totally recommending this place.

Very good rooms, walls are well insulated from noise and you can hear practically nothing from outside the room. Bathrooms are a decent size and are well maintained, the air conditioning unit was dated but still worked fine and the beds were fantastic and so were the chairs. Only issue was that the front desk had a rather long and slow moving lineup with only one staff working when we checked in and checked out. Overall it was a great experience and I would stay here again if I were traveling near Calgary. Edit August 13, 2018: After staying in several other hotels over the rest of my trip across Canada this is definitely one of the best I've seen in terms of value and quality. I originally gave 4 stars but after seeing other places of similar price and size these guys stand out. Reflecting on the issue with the wait times it wasn't the front desk's fault as the customer before us did not properly set up his online booking (considering this was my first time with online booking I don't see how he managed to mess it up either…)

On a road trip to visit friends in Calgary, we stayed in this hotel, for the price you pay per night, wow was it worth it! Very nice, clean, spacious rooms. The building is nice and the interior is nice. The fitness center they have is the nicest one I have seen and I have stayed in multiple hotels. Staff were super friendly. Parking is good. I would stay here again whenever I am back to Calgary.

The location of this hotel is closer to the airport and not central to Calgary but if you're driving around, this hotel has a good location. It is great for if you're also heading out of the city to check out other features. It might not be one of those fancy hotels in the city centre but the staff and management make the hotel a great place to stay with great service, good facilities/rooms, clean and functional features and a good sized suite. It might not be super new but is well kept, clean and the features work and the rooms are spacious. I was very happy with what we got and was pleased with the stay. We ate in the dining room for breakfast and got something off the menu because the continental breakfast is a little limited. We got a king sized bed that was sufficient in terms of comfort. Nothing to complain about but also nothing to rave about. Would return for a stay in the future.

We enjoyed a nice brunch at the Executive Royal Hotel. I believe the restaurant was called Steels, located just inside the front of the hotel across from the service desk. Brunch included many options, and the service was fantastic. I joined my mother and sister, who had been there previously for such things as the Mothers day brunch and said it was even better then.

Very nice place the lobby is clean, well dressed people at the front desk. The two conference rooms are really close together so if their are two events going on one event can easily be distracted by the other. The building itself looks well kept and their is alot of parking space which is nice.

We had a retirement party at this "wow" ERH. Everything was perfect. Staff exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond. The supervisor was there first thing in the morning to make sure the room was set up the way we wanted it. This is the old fashioned customer service, I am used to… "Where the customer comes first". We definitely all felt we were number one and our business was valued. Thankyou! To all the staff at the Executive Royal Hotel!

The hotel is okay, but it was almost $100 for a room. It was clean though, and the water in the bathtub is hot enough to cook oatmeal! The fitness center is rather small for such a large hotel — two of us completely took over the weight room, and one other guy from the hotel took the treadmill room, and it was full!

Very nice hotel. Price was reasonable. We did not check with front desk to see if there were any more but all the pillows on the bed were too big for my girlfriend. Also I'm being nice with 4 stars cause I also found lipstick on the coffee cup after I was about to brew some coffee. That just reminded me to never drink out of the cups/glasses in hotels before washing them.

We've come here for the past three years for mother's day brunch. Easy to reserve a table for 10 and good selection for the buffet. No complaints.

Great location! Staff friendly and professional. Room was clean and beds were pretty good. Pillows were terrible though and had a sore neck every morning of our stay. Last time we were here they were renovating restaurant so was looking forward to the food. Food in the restaurant was okay but definitely will eat somewhere else next time. Staff in restaurant must have been new as they kept bringing other people’s food to our table like 3 times even though it was obvious we had all of our food.

Didn't stay here, attended a conference where food was catered by the hotel. The facilities are very clean and modern, and the food was extremely good for buffet style. Very much appreciated the lounge which was immediately outside the conference rooms, with a decent wine list and fair prices.

We had friends staying at the hotel and invited us to go for dinner. There was a prime rib buffet and it was absolutely delicious. Service was great and staff was quite friendly. Did not leave disappointed at all.

A great to stay if you have pets! Pet guests receive a gift bag with treats and a toy upon arrival. In addition, $5.00 of your stay goes to the Calgary Humane Society! Comfortable room and friendly staff as well’

We were there for a birthday/retirement party. The staff was wonderful the room was clean. All in all a great experience.

I have not stayed here. However in my crochet FB group someone recently has. She made a off handed comment on a FB (tagging the hotel) post wishing she brought her crochet along. The very next day when returning from her class she walked into a precious basket with 3 choices of yarn, crochet hook, scissors and a very kind note from the hotel staff. That is 5 plus in my book. Well done!

Our group of more than 20 went to the Sunday brunch for a friend's birthday. The food was good but the table service I'd say was excellent! Coffee and juice are replenished in a jiffy with a smile from both female and male servers.

Great food. Really enjoyed it. But there was only coffee and juice to drink. Other than that the service was great.

We went here for a social function. Can't speak for the overnight accommodation but the food/catering is great. Parking is ample and easy access. Good location as well.

Went as a large group for their all you can eat brunch/lunch. Large selection and variety of foods available. Good pricing for all you can eat (if you can eat a lot).

Sunday Brunch: A few buffet items were underwhelming; either too dry (ham, roast beef), poorly seasoned (spaghetti, hash browns), or boring (sandwiches, cheddar cheese platter). There were however, a couple dishes that would bring me back: bread pudding, sausages and bacon, lemon squares, potato salad. Enjoyable overall with an open and bright dining room.

Attended a conference there. They had nice conference facilities. For some reason we switched rooms between day 1 and day 2. This conference didn't include lunch (obviously, that's the arrangements the conference organizers made, and had nothing to do with the hotel), but staff members came to the conference room at midmorning break and took food orders for anyone who wanted to eat in the restaurant, so that it would be ready at lunch break. I thought that was a nice touch.

Clean rooms and a great location in terms of available restaurants and proximity to our office. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Like the fact the rooms have hardwood floors instead of carpets. Good value.

I had surgery at a nearby hospital and needed to stay at a hotel since I was from out of town. I must say that the hotel and employees were so very friendly and accommodating. They got us ice and even a pillow for my long trip home. I can't say enough good things about them! I've already booked my night stay with them for my first follow up appointment. Food was good and room service prompt. Nice little cozy lounge as well as a restaurant. Only negative was the heater in the room. The fan ran 24-7 and was loud and when the heat was up to temperature it blew cold air. We did bring this up upon checkout and the the employee wrote it down, said it would be looked into and thanked us for bringing it to their attention. She was very polite.

Hotel was fine for day conference. Paid for lunch was ready at lunch break. Disappointed with after noon break just coffee… could have been conference planning.

Had a meeting here, quite a nice space a little dated but nice. The buffet on the Sunday was great. Has a really wide selection of food and desserts and was quite good. I'd definitely come back or recommend booking it for an event.

Room was average. Hallways and rest of the hotel were very nice. Room was freezing when I entered but quickly warmed up with the heat turned on. Not the comfiest sleep but can't complain.

Location is perfect for me and convenient to shopping and quick access to the airport. Rooms are clean and well furnished. Friendly staff always and fresh apples every morning is a nice touch!

I had a very positive experience at this hotel. Staff were very friendly. I was travelling with my dog and they were very accommodating and even provided a doggie treat bag when we checked in. Staff also came to pet the dog and she enjoyed the attention. Very good place if travelling with pets. Room was clean and comfortable. It actually had good lighting instead of the useless lamps in most hotels. The restaurant in the hotel was also good. I would stay here again when travelling to Calgary.

Went here for Sunday Brunch and as far as we're concerned it's the best brunch in Calgary! Everything from the breakfast choices to the lunch items are delicious and the variety of desserts is great!

Did not see any security around but desk clerk said they are. Seems like a nice lounge and a restaurant but it was closed when I arrived. Getting to the hotel was very fast and easy! No crazy roads and sideroads, it is located along some important roads so there is easy access to wherever you are going. I'll write more as my stay goes. Update: So finished my stay. The stay was okay, good for the price. Only complaints being: 1) The toilet would not flush and handle was broken, it was like this before I arrived. I can only hope the cleaning staff forgot to mention it maintenance. 2) The bed sheets were dirty. Gross. Took a photo but not sure how well it turned out. Should have brought my black light but. 3) Noise! People just walking in the hallway above was so noisy in the room. Be aware if you’re a light sleeper, this may not be the hotel for you. I’m a heavy sleeper and got woken up lots. Overall not bad, the dirty sheets and broken toilet tell me that is where the hotel saves money.

At the hotel for a conference. Temperature of the conference room varied widely. Need to dress in more layers the next couple days. Bathrooms were clean. Hotel staff allowed me use of a microwave to heat my lunch I brought with me — that was nice.

I attended a brunch at the hotel. I entered through the front doors but couldn't see any obvious directions to the room I was supposed to be going to. The selection of food was very good though the order was a little mixed up (syrup before pancakes, etc). Staff were courteous and efficient with table cleaning.

The front desk personnel especially Chad were magnificent and went out his way to accommodate us. Very clean property, and pleasant staff. Great rates!

Very clean hotel with helpful staff. The hotel is close to the airport which is important to me because I have early morning flight.

Pretty good, front desk was very personable. Breakfast isn't included but the food is better, rooms were very nice and clean, housekeeping never visited though and my room key kept failing. Bathroom sink or tap smelled really bad, not sure why. Fitness area is better than most hotels.

I have attended numerous trainings at this hotel and find it is one of the best. Within 10 minutes of the airport and downtown. Easy access off of Barlow Trail. Well laid out with front and back doors near the main conference room. Restaurant and washrooms are steps away and the conference room it's self is well lit, nicely decorated and comfortable in every way. Topped off with very friendly responsive staff. If the sessions I am looking to attend are running in multiple locations will always choose this one even though it is across the city from me. Parking can fill up quickly but check the back there is a little spot facing the hotel that people don't realize is there that usually has a space or two.

Nice clean large hotel with Conference centre, bar, restaurant, free parking. Very convenient location if you're driving — they have an airport shuttle and a car rental company on site. Staff have all been friendly and supportive. Wi-Fi is easy and works well. There is no guest laundry. The elevators are slow. The TV remote doesn't work well. Overall a very good experience. I'd return here and I will look for Executive Royal elsewhere when I travel.

Loved staying at this hotel! I so very much recommend this hotel to dog owners! Our Frankie was welcomed with a pet package including treats, poopie bags and brief instructions — there is a designated, very large area for dogs to do their job. He even got a toy! The room was nice a clean. The furniture was slightly outdated and the fridge doesn't contain any beverages or snacks to purchase which I found odd. Other than that really nice hotel!

Anyone who complain with this hotel should try stay in a so-called 4 star hotel wyndham garden calgary airport, trust me u will love this one.

My family and I went for the Sunday brunch buffet which was not our first time. The service was a bit lacking as we waited quite some time for beverage and coffee refills despite their being two servers and only a few tables at the time. That said, they were friendly. Food was very good as we've come to expect but the beef and ham were quite dry. Everything else was fine and tasted great. Overall a good experience that I would recommend.

Event room was amazing, everything was laid out professionally and in an aesthetically pleasing way. Lunch left something to be desired as we were expecting soup, salad and sandwiches, there were two salads — potato and macaroni — while delicious did not offer much nutrition wise as there was no fruits or vegetables to accompany lunch other than some pickled vegetables for sandwiches. The amount a food however was staggering — our event included breakfast, a morning snack, lunch and an afternoon snack! Overall very good but again would have preferred some fresh produce or a tossed salad.

The jacuzzi suite hotels clean, well maintained, and we'll designed. I hot breakfast that came included in the room was quite good; just watch out for the hours. Some days the breakfast is open till 10am, and other mornings only 8 or 9.

Front desk girl should be fired. Will never go here ever, she treated me like nothing & refused to get the manager. She gets zero stars & so does this hotel if thats what they want representing their establishment.

We had supper at their buffet, really good quality food at an ok-ish price, wait staff was excellent and prompt, even remembering I didn't like ice in my drink after a refill. I will come back again.

The room we were in was clean and bright. A little cool, but there were lots of people, so it's good. Friendly staff. Lots of parking too. Clean washrooms as well.

I was there to attend the memorial of Christs death. The auditorium was very nice, the staff was wonderful. Can't wait to come back and try the restaurant.

Clean conference room. Acoustics were good. Nice lunch to keep the brain enegized for the rest of the day.

It's okay. Not too much around other than a truck stop and a liquor store. I do like that breakfast is free prior to the opening of the attached restaurant and rooms are spacious and clean.

I can't comment on the rooms, I was at a Christmas party hosted there. The food was great, the staff were great as well.

Had a work conference here. Experience was great. Food and venue were both enjoyable. Guest rooms very comfortable.

Comfortable beds with surprisingly warm thin duvet. Heater a little bit on the noisy side. Food is tasty and good enough value at restaurant. Good location for dibs other restaurants and groceries within either walking it driving distance.

It was a nice stay. The room was a nice size. However they do lack in complementary items.

Located close to where I need to be lots of FREE parking staff is terrific I give it a 5 star rating and have stayed with my mother who is 92 and has a wheelchair and my little dog 4 times and would not stay anywhere else. We get the royal king suite like staying in a small house. All the amenities Terrific.

This hotel is ghetto. If all you care about is a cheap place to stay then this is the place for you! my work has been here for meetings the last several years and let my tell you the meeting rooms suck. for awhile they got new stuff which really updated the place. They had cool lights, cool stretch spandex table linens and everything was looking sleek in the rooms. But I am guessing all that stuff was rented because they are back to using thier old crap. It looks like a rainbow exploded in thier rooms back in the 70's. the managers in the mornings are super rude. Whenever we speak to the elderly ladies in the morning about changes they act like it is a super inconvinience. The food is very mediocre. And the staff are dressed like they were just pulled off of the streets.

Our company always has our meetings here and the experience was never great. We dealt with a really rude manager in the meeting rooms. The Vietnamese manager would always bring in our stuff late and when we asked her about it she would argue that we broke late for our breaks. Then we started being taken care of by the new middle eastern looking manager and everything was great. I was really disappointed to learn that he had left the company. Now we are back to dealing with the other lady and all I can say is that I am doing my best to convince the lady within our company that books our meeting to find a different place.

Room looks great but lack of customer service. Had to wait 30min to check out. Only one person was working at the front. They might have shortage of staff but that shouldn't be an excuse when a company is running high end hotel. Either find alt staff or pay ppl overtime.

The Executive Royal Inn has it all! Combined with an excellent location, the Royal Inn has friendly staff, superb rooms and a great selection of dinner ideas at the breakfast and lunch-time buffet. Having the ability to rent a car from the hotel lobby takes care of the potentially long wait that you would normally expect at the airport location and of course, airport taxes. I rate my experience with this hotel very highly, well done Royal Inn.
