Very nice hotel! I love it! Good service! Awesome!

An Absolute stunning view of downtown Calgary from our room last night!

Rude front desk service at check in. When they suddenly wouldn’t take the card that was used to book online and refused to take a card over the phone from my family member who was paying for my room, and I mentioned that in 10 years of staying in Calgary and area hotels I’ve never had this happen, instead of working with me Mark told me I was welcome to stay elsewhere. This was BEFORE offering me any other options. Once my family member got through to them he told her I was rude to him! I simply was confused and nervous being on my own and being told to basically go elsewhere. Then when I tried to call said family member who was paying for the room while having an anxiety attack coming on he told me to “leave and chill”. He was insensitive, and rude. I’ve worked in hospitality and would have been fired immediately had I ever talked to a customer that way. If I didn’t have to be taking a course at the site I would have left and gone elsewhere. I do not recommend this place if this is how they treat patrons and especially someone having an anxiety attack.

Love Thursday night jazz in the lounge… great drinks and food as well!

Great burger and soft drink will be back again next Wednesday.

Great service, amazing breakfast with staff that was willing to accommodate gluten free for our daughter who is celiac. Most beautiful outdoor pool lounging area, and perfect pool temperature for a swim! We were surprised with how well everyone was working with sanitization and cleanliness as well, we will be back!

Beautiful patio area and spot to socialize. Convenient to downtown and local shopping and entertainment. Outdoor pool for those hot summer days. Highly recommend.

Our stay was comfortable and the rates were affordable! The rooms we super clean! And the breakfast was tasty!

Very nice hotel with large rooms. They have a whirlpool and sauna and an outdoor pool. Had an issue where my adult son locked him out of his room and his ID was in the room, my wife was sleeping who made the reservations. The night manager stepped up and let him in to get his ID to show the room was his. Kudos for that or he would have been sleeping in our room. We will definitely be back.

Our first time here… this will definitely be our Calgary hotel! Beautiful… clean… bright… great staff… friendly… list could go on & on!

Sensation place to stay we have stayed in about 15-20 different hotels over the past month while touring USA, Alaska, Canada and this was by far a standout! Great place sensational staff! Sean on reception went over and about and the lady in the middle bar near reception (her parents own a gold mine) can’t remember her name but she was also great sharing interesting stories with us.

This place is top notch, I was amazed at all the amenities they have. Friendly staff and jazz on Thursdays nice.

The Lounge on the 7th floor makes incredible Cafe Latte's. Many extra special touches make this hotel special.

No enough food for everybody and taste horrible…

Food was reallllllly good Uber good and the servers were very friendly sweet and fun too would definitely come back again and they even celebrated my accomplishments with me to that’s cool thanx again guys for n awesome lunch today.

Met for a business lunch there at noon. Service was prompt and friendly. Ordered the charcoal sliced wings and they were excellent! Two others ordered the chicken tacos, one didn't care for them saying the chicken was tasteless, and the other loved them. Different strokes I guess. Will definitely be back.

Great experience at this hotel. The rooms were very clean, and I liked the decor. Comfortable beds, awesome shower, and other nice amenities. The hotel restaurant had a great breakfast (not included) menu. They had a lobby bar and a sports bar, both of which offered great service.

Great Hotel. Very nice spacious rooms. Good amenities nice Swimming Pool. Nice view from the dining hall. Complimentary breakfast at different floor which we missed. Cannot say much of the staff.

Stay here every year when I come down for the calgary expo. The staff are always very friendly and the service is great. The rooms are always clean and good to go when you arrive. There's a club downstairs that even puts on comedy and other types of shows. It's really a great place to stay and is very affordable as well. Can't complain much other than that the restaurant is quite expensive. Other than that it's perfect.

The room was clean and modern. I loved the shampoo and conditioner dispenser in the bathroom. The kettle while unused by me was a nice touch if I had wanted tea. I do have to say that I LOVED taking in a comedy show at the Laugh Shop. That was amazing. Absolutely worth it while staying at the hotel. Staff at both the hotel and the show were wonderful. Would recommend both.

The Sunday buffet for special occasions such as Mothers Day, Christmas or Thanksgiving are excellent. They have a great selection of hot and cold dishes plus lovely desserts. The price is very reasonable and they are always child friendly. Book in advance.

Very clean and nice. Offers two bars (nice). Hotel appropriates first nations culture and land (which is not nice) according to the desker whom so told us that they did not in any way benefit the Blackfoot tribe so like not nice. Anyways, really clean and we snagged a good deal. Maybe because other people didn't want to stay in a hotel with portraits of Chief Blackfoot on each floor that still does not support the Blackfoot nation. Draw your own conclusions. Peace.

Met an old friend after 34 years for supper in the Lobby restaurant. I must say I was quite pleasantly surprised on the quality of the food and service. Our waitress always came by to see if we needed anything. Asked if the first few bites were satisfactory and if we needed anything all through our for our visit. At the fusion bowl and my friend had the cobb salad. Both were excellent. I had the fruit crisp for dessert and my friend had the creme brulee. Both were really good. Will be back again as I noticed they have a beautiful patio outside!

Stayed at this hotel on their comedy package. Overall it was a great night, with the Laugh Shop being the highlight of the evening. The hotel itself was nicely appointed and the buffet included with the package was decent. My only real complaint would probably be the hotel room doors which inexplicably have a huge gap under them letting in both sound and light from the hallway. We were woken up several times as late night revelers returned. Aside from that it was a fun experience, well worth the money.

The prices for drinks are a bit pricey. Everything else is great. Julie the one waitress is amazing and is always so happy to see us. That feels nice.

Love staying here every year for Calgary expo, have done so several years in a row. Very short drive from the stampede grounds and rates are very affordable. Excellent service and I'll definitely continue going here.

Comedy club in the hotel is awesome. Very decent prices. Great for a night out. Hit the sports bar beforehand for some great food.

I have only been at Blackfoot hotel for events. Good sized rooms. Professional staff, not even snobby when you ask where a certain room is.

Service is decent, food is good. Meeting rooms are clean and well kept. Could use better coffee!

Good hotel. Very clean, 3 restaurants and a pub as well as a comedy club. Did not go to the comedy club but when we arrived people coming out were saying how good it was. The pub is decent, nice sitting areas for small groups in the corridor. Rooms were very clean, nice bathroom and the bed was comfortable. I was here on business, I would stay here with the family if we did a trip here.

Very nice hotel! We took one of there best rooms, and it super clean and excellent. Worth the stay. Highly recommended.

All the employees at check in seemed great. We were met by Dominic. I sure hope Hotel Blackfoot knows how big an asset he is to the hotel. He bent over backwards for us, got us a great deal. At the end of our experience with Dominic he sent us away with complimentary tickets for the Laugh Shop. Seriously, Dominic did everything under his control to accommodate us. Thanks so much Dominic!

I went to a ticketed comedy show at the Laugh Shop in the Hotel Blackfoot. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated, with everything looking modern and nice. They even had an upright bass musician in the lobby for ambiance. They've done a good job with the place.

Went to the Laugh Shop but purchased the buffet meal before the show. Amazing service, very good food on the buffet. Perfect date night. I would recommend the meal and show package to anyone.

There is more than enough parking. Food provided at the event was surprisingly good. The room for the event was well laid out.

Food was meh. Meat was rough. Veggies over cooked and most deserts were too sweet or too tart. The eggnog dessert there was not bad even that got a bit sweet at the end. Salmon was good though. Depends on the batch, second batch was over cooked.

Perfect spot for my treat yo self trip. Staff was so very kind at every step of the way. I wish I would have got the name of the woman who was taking care of the lounge on my floor so I could give proper credit on my review. She was so kind and kept me company while I ate alone. Room was clean and modern, it was a quiet stay. So glad I chose this place! Thank you so much for everything.

The breakfast and lunch buffet are excellent and the service was great. I was taking a course and got ill during it. I wasn't staying at the hotel but they allowed me to leave my vehicle over night as a friend took me home, no fuss.

I have had a good stay here and a bad stay here. I'll start with the bad… I stayed here a couple months ago for business. I was woke up several times from the room upstairs, and I am not one that wakes up easily. It sounded like someone falling over several times in the middle of the night. I ended up calling the front desk several times until 4 in the morning. They would not do anything about it, and said that they had checked the room and yes they were up, and had asked them to be quiet… long story short. I got no sleep that night and no refunds or apologies from customer service. The good stay was just a couple weeks ago as I ended up staying again as all other hotels in the area were sold out. The rooms are very nice clean and updated and I ended up having a wonderful stay. Food in the lobby is good as well. Only down side to this place seems to be the customer service desk at night when they will not help accommodate you when others staying in the hotel are being rude and partying until 4 am on a Wednesday.

We came for work Xmas party. Renovations and colours were amazing. The room was set up for mingling and fun. And the food… I still want more roast beef. I highly recommend this location for parties and family visits as we've also done.

Whenever I’m passing through this area of Calgary I stop in the hotel because of there excellent food. The chef is fantastic the staff in The restaurant and sports bar are fantastic. In particular Kristen and heather in the sports bar are always a delight. I also believe in the main restaurant the girls name is kimmy is also very good.

Best hotel we have ever stayed at! We checked in and the front desk staff were phenomenal and made us feel so welcome! Our room is perfect and they had it all set up for our pup! The little treat bag was amazing and greatly appreciated! It is so clean and so beautiful! I’m so happy this hotel is pet friendly as we travel often with our pups! Thank you for an amazing stay, we are excited to spend the next few nights here!

My husband and I just got married at Heritage Park and stayed at the Blackfoot Hotel along with several family and friends. It was a fantastic experience and very reasonably priced. Our room was beautiful, new, and perfect for getting ready with my bridesmaids and Mother the day-of. We had a great view looking West over Calgary. When you stay on the 7th floor you have access to the summit lounge which was perfect for spending Friday before the wedding with a small group of family and friends. The continental breakfast served in the summit lounge, was fantastic with eggs, bacon, and much more than what you would expect of a regular continental brekkie. The hotel staff were all friendly, polite and helpful. They have some very long-serving staff which speaks highly of their management. I cannot speak highly enough of the Blackfoot Hotel and will definitely stay there again when the opportunity arises.

Buffet lunch. It must have been a while since I've been there. The comedy place next to the sports bar used to do a huge lunch buffet, but when we entered all the lights were out and the place was empty. We moved over to the restaurant and had lunch there. The smoked salmon was so good.

Excellent stay in this hotel. Clean room, comfortable bed, excellent shower, delicious food, great service, and it's pet friendly which was excellent as I was traveling with my dog. I would definitely stay here again and I would definitely recommend it. I should also add that the dog goodie bag was very thoughtful. The hotel staff placed a dog bowl with treats, a tennis ball and poop bags.

We had our wedding reception in the heritage room sept 2017. Wrong sides were served with meal, best mans meal forgotten, no wine served during dinner as promised, no wine for head table, cake not cut until hours after scheduled, meals were "auctioned" to tables, even with a seating plan. As the bride, I had to keep asking for meals or wine or cake cutting which is inconvenient when there was already a schedule and contract with this info provided. Service was quite disappointing considering the bill at the end of it. The reception room was beautifully decorated by Chair Flair. Good size and simple decor that was easy to add to. One of the blind panels was missing but the hotel was quick to fix prior to our wedding the next day. Hotel is newly renovated and has a modern feel, rooms are nice and a decent size. The quick breakfast snacks/coffee station on upgraded floor was great. Nice outdoor pool area. I'd consider returning as a guest, but wouldn't recommend for an event.

This is a recently-renovated property, and it shows. The lobby, restaurant, and common areas are modern-looking and immaculate. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The guest room was very stylish in decor, with all expected amenities (flat screen TV with cable, mini fridge, air conditioning, pull out sofa, free Wi-Fi, dual shower head, etc. ). The hotel is conveniently located close to major freeways, as well as numerous retail stores and restaurants (including Chinook Centre). I would highly recommend a stay here.

This will be a great hotel once renovations are complete. Updated rooms are modern and very well sized. Thermostat was old 70s style but I assume it will be updated eventually. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

Room looks good, but the breakfast is a strange thing here. Paid more than an average price for a room here and it had breakfast included. You can get that breakfast only at your floor (take to your room and eat). We wanted to sit down in the local restaurant and eat quietly. Seems like a reasonable thing, but once we got to the restaurant we realized that our breakfast is only on our floor/room. A small thing, but frustrating a bit. Update: I didn't really feel like arguing so was planning on checking out and going about my business. During checkout the guy at the front desk asked if everything was to our satisfaction, so I explained what happened with breakfast and how it was not so convenient. He apologized and applied two breakfast vouchers to our bill. Thumbs up for the positive approach and for trying to meet client expectations. Changed my review from 3 stars to 4.

Went to the Laugh Shop. If you've never been, you should really try it out. Tickets usually are around $18 a head and drinks are reasonable. It's a great evening out. The pub good is good and the buffet is great.

My Husband and I had to find a hotel while we were in Calgary for a funeral, the Blackfoot Hotel was central to every event we had to attend, The front desk staff was very friendly as soon as we walked in the door. They were very helpful with getting us maps for directions for where ever we needed to go. Our air conditioner went on the blitz around 2:30 am, I called front desk, a service guy came within minutes and brought us a fan and restarted the air conditioner… which did the trick. We would definitely stay there again and also recommend them to anyone needing a clean, friendly staff, comfortable beds, good food and service in restaurant, Thanks Carrie & Dave Saskatoon.

If you can see past the construction taking place at the front of the hotel it is a fantastic place to hold an event. The rooms are well decorated and the staff are friendly and efficient. I attended a seminar put on by the Calgary Residential Rental Association and was pleased at how comfortable the room was and how delicious the lunch was as well. I would recommend using these facilities for other gatherings as well. Of course it will be great when the construction is complete.

Attentive to our every need with renovated, well-appointed rooms. Hotel has so many great amenities, including gym and outdoor pool. The current construction did not affect our stay negatively and it will be even more special once they're all done. We loved the breakfast options with the breakfast package. The meals were hearty and large enough to fill even the biggest appetites. The location is very central in Calgary, so close to downtown and just down the road from Calgary's best mall-Chinook! We couldn't have asked for much better. Thank you to all who served us, Hotel Blackfoot!

My family and I go to Calgary every year and usually stay at Days Inn or Holiday Inn and this year was very busy so we had to venture out on our usual hotel stays and I have to say I am very pleased we did. My husband found Blackfoot Hotel online and the staff member who answered the phone was very professional. When we went into the hotel the staff at the front desk were all very professional and kind. We were able to check out the room before we made reservations and we were exceptionally pleased with the room! The room was modern and clean and has awesomely comfortable beds with comfy comforters. The Hotel itself is renovated so its new and clean. The fitness room was small in size but was nice. I liked the computer area. The pool is great because its outdoors and wonderful for summer! We will definitely be going back for future stays! Happy customer ;)

There is a group of 70 ladies doing digital scrapbooking for the weekend. This includes 2 suppers and a lunch. When we went down for dinner on Friday evening, only 1/4 of the women had gone through when the table was out of food. There was no staff around to refill and it took a long time for them to bring more food. Many of us felt that a hotel that held conferences on a regular basis would be more organized and have someone close by to monitor the food levels hand have more coming consistently. The lunch on Saturday was far better. There were at least 4 staff watching food levels and the food kept coming consistently. Hopefully dinner tonight will be efficient like lunch today. If you are organizing a conference, be sure to discuss how food will be monitored. Other than this rather large issue, the staff has been courteous and helpful.

So… After specifically requesting a room far from the elevators and the ice machine, I'm in a room immediately behind the elevators listening to them go up and down. Also, there's no heat in this room and it's sitting at about 18° according to the thermostat. I decided after 10 minutes that, given the cold and the noise, I was not going to be in any shape for my 7 o'clock meeting tomorrow. I would like to commend the staff though. Less than 10 minutes after I phoned down with my concerns, I was in a room far from the elevators and quite warm. The quality of a place is always measured, not just by the absence of problems, but by the response to problems. From that perspective, I would give a 5 Star rating Sean and his team here.

Have been here numerous times. Rooms and hallways are very clean and pleasant. Decent flat screen TV in the suite too. There's always something going on — live music, comedy shows, corporate events. Classy enough spot. Decent burgers in their sports bar. 2 electric car charging stalls but last time one was occupied by a big truck (lol). You have to pull out of the far side of the parking lot to get back onto Blackfoot south towards Glenmore unless you pull a u-turn, a bit awkward.

The buffet in the comedy cave at lunch is amazing and delicious. A little on the expensive side but totally worth it.

Very welcoming at first appearance. Check in was a breeze. Room was fresh and clean organized. Very pleased on how professional the staff were. Hot tub was nice and hot didn't seem like it was working properly. I would definitely stay aging and the king size bed was incredible.

Service is fine. Food is average. But the thing that drove me over the edge was no air conditioning in the height of summer. If I'm not mistaken, the original purpose of a hotel was to provide a comfortable place to sleep with amenities and services. (You had one job. ) The best I got from the front desk was 'I'm sorry sir, but other guests aren't complaining' lol, a particularly uninspired answer from an uninspiring hotel. The desk clerk then suggested I wasn't operating the thermostat correctly, to humor him I tried it and to no avail. A miserable sweaty night that lasted till the heat faded at around 0345hrs this morning. The Blackfoot looks old from the outside, and despite a healthy coat of lipstick on the inside (renovations) it 'feels' old. Not the place to be if you actually want to sleep. Will not return. (UPDATE: booked via expedia, therefore the managers couldn't do anything refund-wise. Their willingness to try earns them another star though. )

Super comfy beds, spacious room, raindrop showers and clean freak clean. (If you loathe a hair on your pillow case, dust layers, a carpet you're afraid to go barefoot on or black mould spots on the caulking/grout in the bathrooms, then you'll feel safe, clean and at ease in a Blackfoot room). Green Restaurant food and service excellent. Sports Bar food and service — meh… mediocre food, service variable, from good to poor. Allowed a late checkout too. And for a hotel that allows pets, I was impressed with the quality of the rooms. One recommendation: It would be nice if more Native Canadians were employed here, and not just represented by the name of the hotel and the pictures on the walls.

Aweful. Truely. Paid $239 for a specific type room up high. They put me in a ground floor room. With much haggling at the desk, I got a higher room — then recieved another $71 charge from them. Go to a hilton, sheraton, doubletree instead.

I just got here a few hours ago, and this place is swanky. Highly recommend, cheap, and luxurious.

This hotel is just awesome, completly new. The room are big and I don't even talk about the shower with big glass door! 42 inches tv, I was there for my job and surely go there again.

The room was lovely, good location. But after 3 nights, I had to stay for 40 extra minutes on my last morning. I called fro desk beforehand and asked if that was ok. They said sure thing, they'll tell room service (who never came around till 1pm anyway). All was well! Until a $50 charge showed up on my credit card days later for staying an extra 40 minutes! If front desk had told me "You can stay but there will be a charge", obviously I would have left! Sneaky. I don't like sneaky.

I thought the price was great. I have been in hotels that were looking like they were close to being rundown and had poor quality and at almost the same price. I was surprised when I walked into my room. LOVED IT! Comfortable beds and it was nice to have control of the room temperature. Bathroom was nice. There was no bath option but the shower was nice. The supper were quite pricey. There wasn't much on the menu that looked appetizing for my taste. Was tempted to eat out. Only because I am more into the "Boston Pizza" type food. The view was beautiful. The area was quiet. Lots of parking availability. Sedan service was great. overall. I liked it.
