They took a week to get back to me to say my stuff disappeared from my room without a trace. I called them less than an hour after checking out and nobody got back to me till I was calling non stop. The alarm clock in my room didn’t work so I missed breakfast and almost missed my appointments. The staff are extremely dismissive, I’ve tried to complain several times today but management is nowhere to be found. Makes me wanna drive there and complain in person…

My experience with the element in Calgary was awful. Had a booking confirmed with 2 queen suite and when I arrived late Friday night they had given it away and had a king room only available which wouldn’t fit my family. Said they were over booked even though I booked 2 months in advance. Front desk and manager was super rude and very unprofessional. The hotel was booked and they couldn’t give me a room that would fit my family. Had a book another hotel at last minute and it was a very stressful expensive experience Handed my keys and parking pass into the manager and stated we can’t stay here and the manager stated I wouldn’t get charged. But in the morning same manager called me stating a different name and asked if I stayed the night I said I handed you my keys and parking pass and said we were leaving. So terrible.

Just arrived today, but seems like a nice place. The room has everything you could ever need, Just like a furnished apartment. Looking forward to a swim, and I heard the breakfast is great!

Different breakfast menu, not the same thing every day Do away with the credit card surety as not everyone has one. Maybe ask for a token deposit that won’t be refunded if there’s damage to the room More regular shuttles to the airport; maybe every half hour instead of hourly or make it a bookable service service.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Guest services always wanted to make sure our stay was memorable and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Calgary.

Large room with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. If that wasn't enough a cooktop. Micro wave dishwasher and full fridge. Rainforest shower head in walkin shower and a breakfast buffet. In same hotel in NYC just a little smaller room with no sofa bed and only double beds. Does work really well for us as out all day. Would work great for families… give it a try!

Customer service is spot-on. Pool and hot tub are very nice and appear to be well maintained. Room is comfortable with a full — sized fridge and microwave oven; "Lucky" Supermarket is within walking distance to stock fridge and freezer. 24 hour McDonalds very close walk behind the hotel. Hotel free breakfast was good.

Lovely hotel. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Afternoon/evening wine and cheese is a nice added touch. The buffet breakfast is also very good.
Staff are all very pleasant and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this place and if we are ever back in Calgary we would stay here again. Affordable prices.

Were there two weeks ago and Brandon Kneeshaw remembered us asked us if the room was good and offered us an extra wine due to the concern. Well, I. Must say your staff. All of them do go above and beyond.

Always a good sleep & close to many amenities. Love the Italian restaurant across the street & I feel very safe in the hotel. Parking can be tight (especially when they are fully booked), underground is available as long as you're early. They don't have the best breakfast but it's included in your stay (egg all you can… no meat). The pool is warm & the equipment room is nice. Every suite has a kitchen & fridge. The family & I will definitely consider this hotel again the next time we are in Calgary.

Was at Element to drop off guests from out of town and was pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was. It's very new, the room had a kitchen and all the usual amenities. Our out of town guest enjoyed their stay.

Pros: Very nice room design. Modern look to everything. The rooms are quiet. The host in the morning tried to help out the kitchen/janitorial staff. Cons: Totally understaffed. Parking is inadequate. The guy at the front counter was rude and walked away from me in the middle of trying to check-in. Garbage in the dining area overflowing. No clean dishes during the “complementary” breakfast. (It’s a inconvenience if you have to go somewhere else and pay to eat). In the room the drain was disassembled and sitting in the sink. The bedroom door and the blinds are broken and “filtered” water bottle was dirty. Based on state of the hotel, I can only assume that the filter hasn’t been changed. The only reason I didn’t walk away immediately was they have a cancellation fee for reservations. (Also a con) Free advice to the hotel “don’t serve raw eggs, someone will get sick and will sue you. ”

Good value. Could use a bit of work, like getting the buttons on the elevator re-done and maybe getting a more visually appealing front entry way where there snacks you can buy are. Otherwise very clean and good value. Bathrooms are updated and spacious.

Lobby was under renovation. There is also no restaurant in the hotel but the one across the parking lot is pretty good. Rooms were nice and modern. Very close to the airport and downtown.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay here through July 21-22. We have a 4 month old puppy and the hotel was more than accommodating to him. They do not charge you $25 to have your puppy stay with you like other hotels and don't make you sign any waivers — great check-in experience with super friendly girl at the front. Rooms are very nice, clean and spacious. King bed with a sofa bed if needed, a TV that twirls so you can watch from anywhere in the room. A desk if you want to do some work, a stove top with pots, pans, utensils, salt, pepper, dishwasher and medium size fridge with freezer! You can cook about anything. Washrooms are very large with a rainfall shower head — super modern and clean. The bed was so comfortable and pillows were very soft which gave us a amazing nights rest. Breakfast was not so good. They definitely do not have enough food and staff for the amount of guest staying at the hotel. We went down at 9 am, 1 hour before breakfast was over, and I guess that was what every guest decided to do as it was jam packed. The only thing available was coffee, yogurt and toast, there were no cups for the juice, the line for the eggs took over half n hour to cook and there was only 1 girl cooking them! There was also not enough room so people started sitting in the lobby. It is 2 star breakfast compared to the International Hotel Downtown which is 5 star. Another downside was this hotel is pet friendly but housekeeping by the name that starts with a E — maybe Eden?

Excellent room, very spacious. Was a unique experience compared to other hotels. Its great to see a environmentally conscious hotel chain have proper recycling policies in place. Pool wasn't opened however the four points next door was open to tenants. Great experience will definitely be back! Wish the breakfast area had more selection including some type of meat. Would be a 5 star but the breakfast was mediocre for such a nice hotel.

Beautiful hotel with a view of downtown Calgary. The beds we're very comfortable and the in amenities made me feel like I was at home. More storage space than a small apartment. Full kitchen. I could live here.

I’m in Calgary on Business every month for between 5-7 days a month and have stay in a lot of different hotels. This one is one of my favourites. It’s brand new and I love what they did with the decor and interior layout. Service is great the breakfasts in the morning delicious. They are centrally located and close to all amenities. It's very nice inside. The suite's are fully equipped and roomy, they have a cooktop dishwasher and a fridge. The staff is friendly. I would stay here again.

Ended up at this hotel when I booked through Hotwire. We didn’t even end up staying the night because when I booked I said there were two adults and two children. The room was not really kid friendly at all. The pool was under renovation, as was much of the hotel lobby. I would not recommend bringing kids to this hotel. Would be great for adults on business or couples.

Staff are amazing. There is happy hour everyday at 5:30-7 pm in the bar area. Breakfasts very delicious. Still some reno' S going on. If u have a problem that needs to be fixed, they will right away.

The only thing this hotel had going for them at first was the initial front desk clerk who greeted us (blonde) and the fact that they allow dogs. Other than that, I would stay away from this place! The new manager is a TOTAL SNOB. Nothing is as advertised and all the rest of the staff turn there noses up at you. Uh reality check people… You are just working in a 3 star hotel in Calgary AB this isn’t the Ritz-Carlton NYC or anything. I am all for classy, top-notch service but what was portrayed at this establishment was neither classy nor top notch. Rather pretentious and uncalled for. If you stay keep your tips low. Especially to the manager! He doesn’t deserve the pocket change in your car.

I give it a 3 stars for a awesome room. Very modern, very nice set up. Hotel is clean. The only complaint we have is the breakfast. They were totally out of breakfast for the most part by 830 on a Sunday. Things are very picked over, water and coffee was out. They had a few apples. One boiled egg. Etc. Massive lineup for one poor lady who was flipping eggs as fast as she could. They need more staff and a better setup for all of these rooms and people who stay here. So we really enjoyed the room, it’s comfortable. But the reason we chose this hotel is for the free breakfast, so we were a bit disappointed. Perks is that McDonald’s and Tim Hortons is a two minute walk away.

Horrible customer service. Have emailed several times that I need to cancel my reservation due to a broken collar bone. Have had 0 response and then they charged my credit card anyways and don't allow cancellations without charging. Horrible horrible service.

At first glance, this Westin-branded hotel seems well-equipped and organized. It has a pool, a secure parkade and hardwood floors in guest rooms. And then the Wi-Fi flakes out while you're trying to work. The air conditioning/thermostat blows cold air into the room no matter what temperature you select, turning the room into an icebox. And to top it off, when you report these issues to staff, their response is literally no assistance at all; empty platitudes and apologies instead of offering a different room, or even investigating the issue. When you come down to the front desk looking for coffee to keep warm in the middle of the night, they can't even find that from housekeeping. I would have had a better night's rest sleeping in my car, and been more productive if I'd parked in front of a Starbucks.

This is a beautiful hotel to stay in Calgary it's new, fresh and modern. The staff are wonderful throughout the hotel. And they serve a great complimentary breakfast in the morning. Dog friendly hotel too! If your travels take you to Calgary this is a really good spot to stay!

Stayed here shortly after it opened. Would avoid this location and only stay here if it was a last resort. Booked weeks in advance and was put in a room 1 floor above street level on a busy intersection. Window was stuck open and they knew this prior to renting the room out. Door had no working lock so you couldn't leave anything in the room. Air conditioning wouldn't work properly because the window was stuck open. This place was poorly built and is not up to the standards of other Elements locations. Hotels was full so resolution to all the problems was a $25 GIFT card for the restaurant across the parking lot. Avoid!

Booked this hotel as our connecting flight out of Calgary Airport was a day later. Element Calgary is a new hotel only just opening in May 2017. We phoned to get a shuttle from the airport and they were there in about 30 minutes! We checked in with Tanner and he provided us with all the information about the hotel like breakfast, morning shuttle, etc. He was so helpful and friendly! Great guest service! I will definitely be recommending this hotel to friends and family, and also my guests at my hotel back in Victoria!

Really friendly staff. Delicious breakfast which I've got a picture of but I ate a few of those egg tarts beforehand. King size bed was comfortable and wonderful. Definitely recommend.

It's the cleanest and most modern hotel I have ever stayed in. We ate at the hotel restaurant across the parking lot. The desk lady was great, check in went perfect. We stayed on the top floor on south side, best view in hotel. Thanks to a thoughtful staff. We are very impressed with the double queen room. The lounge and breakfast area looks fantastic.

New hotel. Fantastic rooms. Full kitchen, great beds. Lots of space. Nice views of the city and mountains.

Brand new hotel! Nice and clean, very nice and large rooms. We called ahead about EV charging units, and were told they didn't have any. However, when we arrived and parked in the underground garage, we discovered that they had 3! The bad news is that they were not operational yet. However, there was a 110V plug, so at least we were able to get a little range over night.

Stayed for the weekend. Cleanliness was not quite to standard. Pencil marks on shower wall from possible construction and empty glass water bottle in fridge. This is our second time here. Our previous stay was excellent as well with exception to the HVAC not working. Both times breakfast was great with a healthy selection. Parking and nearby amenities plentiful. Will still come back.

Great stay. Bed was comfortable, room was clean. Scents are a particular issue for me and I was happy that the cleaning products used were not strong smelling. The provided shampoo and body wash were even mild scented (natural and organic). Breakfast was adequate if not particularly memorable. Was nice to have breakfast included. Service was polite and prompt. All in all no complaints. It was a good experience and I would stay here again.

Brand new hotel so it's not fully finished yet. But is well run, very nice rooms that are more like an apartment then a hotel room. Our room had a full kitchen. Cooktop, microwave, full fridge, dishwasher, sink etc. Staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast area is top notch. I would definitely recommend this hotel to people!

The staff at check in helped with to bring in the bags right away. The process of check also went by promptly and made everything really smoothly. The rooms were clean and everything was enjoyable for the 2 nights.

The hotel was acceptable to stay, but we couldn't enjoy bathing even though we were super-tired and needed to give my 8 month baby a bath. The reason why there was no bathtub. There is no bathtub even the executive room of the hotel. I guess the concept of the hotel is eco — friendly, so they didn't install a bathtub.

Excellent accomdations, full kitchen, large bathroom with a shower, soft linens and complimentary breakfast with a modern twist! The only downside is that they need to put more effort into cleaning out the construction dust! After 4 months of operation closet shelves, storage compartments under TV are still dusty. Otherwise, excellent service, you can even make some reward points during your stay (if you are subscribed to their rewards program) or $5 per each day of stay except for the check out date if you opt out to change you towels for the length of your stay!

We stayed in one of the suites which was amazing. Beds were soft, they had an apartment size fridge in the room, and elements for cooking were built into the counter… Overall nice room finishes and everything was very very clean. For the price I would definitely stay again!

We booked this hotel in the middle of hour 10 hour drive to Calgary — wasn't sure what we would be getting into as we had never heard of this hotel before. Upon arrival we were completely impressed. This hotel is basically brand new (2017). The room had. A full kitchen — including dishwasher, excellent bed and sofa, top of the line! This hotels breakfast was the best I have ever seen — breakfast sandwhiches — smoothie shooters — fruits and it's all even kid friendly! Espresso machine at breakfast was amazing! Healthy environmentally conscious hotel and if we could stay here at every chance we needed a hotel we would! 5 star full recommendation from us!

Great new hotel that is close to Calgary Airport. Nice breakfast sandwiches and cereal selection for breakfast and very comfortable bedroom with a huge shower. The air conditioning system was fairly quiet and did not wake me up.

David was wonderful! Helped me look and feel great while I waited for my flight. Great service, relaxing experience, and friendly conversation.
