The room was very nice and spacious, and the updated interior felt very nice to relax in. The beds are so comfortable! All hotel services were provided well with only a couple of exceptions: one of the glasses in our room was dirty, one of the teacups was cracked, no garbage can was set out for us to use, and all of the hotel's ice machines but one were out of order or removed. These are pretty minor complaints though, and our stay was great.

Everything went well for the most part, I love staying at this hotel. They're currently renovating so a few things were out of order; ice was only available on 1 or 2 of the normal 4 or 5 floors, the kitchen sink was closed off. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. At checkout I was charged a higher rate than what I had booked online for but I just had to call and I was refunded the difference. I'll be visiting Calgary again later this month and I plan to stay here again.

The hotel it self was good, large rooms and clean. As part of the maintain the kitchen suite did not have a sink or running water. The bathroom was fully functional. Included a mini fridge which was a nice included add-on. Docked one star due to the room being next to the elevator and sounded like a feight train all night. TIP: If staying at hotel recommend getting room as far from the elevator as possible.

Nice place, staff was friendly and helpful. The moxie's attached was not too busy so service was excellent. Clean room, although the building was being renovated and the pool etc was closed. I couldn't hear any construction noise and the building was located within an easy walk of anything I wanted.

Had a pleasant stay here and the staff was nice, friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast offered is better than decent with good food and the coffee is strong so it wakes you up. Rooms are clean and I'm like the previous comment that upgrades could be done but I knew before going that it wasn't the Hilton. Its a good hotel and you get your money's worth. Its centrally located and close to many restaurants and there's a Sarbucks 2 blocks away so overall it was a good experience. I'd stay here again…

I could rate it a 4 star because of the renovations happening but I had such a pleasant time so 5 stars! The rooms were great other than the one sink we couldnt use. The breakfast was fantastic! Good price too for being downtown on a long weekend :)

The suite was big and clean. Service was excellent. We enjoyed how walkable it was to 8th Ave. Not that it affected us in any way, but it's worth noting that the kitchenette does not have running water to the sink or dishwasher (everything was boarded over). Only a one cup coffee maker and some mugs.

I would not stay here again. It is definitely not worth the $200 a night! Besides being run down and “under renovations” I had a number of issues during my week long stay. Sinks are covered over so no access to water in the semi kitchen and we had a night with little to no water from 10 pm to 7 am. The cable only works some of the time and the 2small TVs are not HD. The elevators are super small and rickety, the parking was not free and every time I went to the gift shop it was closed. I would have been better off to stay at a motel.

We went to Calgary from California and were meeting friends from Melbourne at this hotel. It's close to all amenities. Not very big as I imagined and the lobby was small. The staff were very accommodating for us to sit and wait as our friends experienced a flight delay. We later walked to Calgary tower from here. Lots of taxis but best way is to walk as everything is close by.

I can't give this hotel a high enough rating. The management and staff are flexible, responsive, and extremely welcoming. If you have any issues (and I doubt you will) they go over and above to make sure you're taken care of. The location is fantastic, the rooms are massive and the rates are extremely affordable. Thanks for the great stay and keep up the great work!

The room was good and the food excellent during the celebration.

The suite was nice, construction noises were a bit much. They get a three because of the experience we had during check in, a dirty toilet and sheets full of hair. We were offered another room and it wasnt properly cleaned either. They brought in a housekeeper and cleaned it to my satisfaction, apologized, and gave me free parking. I'd recommend checking the cleanliness when you first get to your room. Other than a few issues, it was fine. Also, their food is excellent, so definitely order room service.

My wife and I went here for our wedding night. Had a great experience and a great room. The lady at the front desk went above and beyond. When I called in to make it a special night she personally got some fake rose pedals and made the room look amazing. Thanks guys!

This place is a gem! 24 hour pool access was an amazing surprise and so nice after a long day at a conference. I stayed in the Studio Suite at a VERY reasonable rate and it was over 500 sq feet with two rooms (a small seating room with TV and dining area and a bedroom with a very comfy king sized bed with another TV) AND a balcony with a beautiful view. Spacious closet was appreciated as well. Great location within walking distance of many attractions, coffee shops, restaurants and more. Very clean, quiet and customer service pleasant. I will 100% stay here everytime I come to Calgary from now on.

The room we stayed in was very nice, however they had the water turned off to the main sink in the room so we had to drink from the bathroom. Parking is not free and not cheap and not even competitive with other parking downtown. At the very least it should be a subsidized rate but it isn't. Lastly the included breakfast was great, but the wait staff were so pathetic; we were waiting to hear seated for almost 10 minutes, but the waiter or attendant just never showed up. So we just sat ourselves and ate without swiping our cards because we had places to be and needed to eat and checkout asap. Overall a very nice building with average or below average amenities and service.

Great location, Awesome suites, Fantastic buffet breakfast! The suites are a great surprise, each room is set up like a condo, bed is enclosed with doors and living area is very spacious with a bar and sink area. Balconies are a great bonus. The 24 hour pool is a fantastic feature and very fun after a night out downtown. The location is perfect for downtown nightlife. Reserve in advance as this place books up fast!

In for the weekend. Checked in quick, parking was reasonably priced for 2 nights (~$20). Clean, spacious suite. Breakfast in the morning was good, excellent bacon. The pool was good to relax in, but definitely more of a laps pool then a splish-splash pool. Elevators are a bit slow in the busy hours, but not unreasonably so. According to other guests in said elevators, they can be a bit noisy if your room is next to them. Room service is only available for the morning as far as I could tell on the weekend, so keep that in mind if it matters to you. All all in all, good hotel, good location, polite staff, somewhat creepy middle elevator.

Nice spot. Big suites. Nice pool/hot tub. Breakfast also great and included. Location is perfect. Hotel is undergoing renovations so you will notice things being worked on.

Obtains a pool and fitness center open 24 hours. Wondeful staff. In the center of downtown. Wonderful rooms that are clean and well maintained. Our room had a sink, mini fridge, coffee pot and a lovely seating area. The balcony was nice sized and the sunset going down the street was beautiful.

Great location, right in downtown Calgary. The room we checked in was spacious. It had a small dining area, small living room with a pullout couch, and a king size bed. The only thing I noticed upon entering the room was it had a "storage room" kinda odour. Unlike other hotels we checked in, you can smell the freshness of how clean the room is. The pool and the jacuzzi was good, nothing special. The gym was good. The complimentary breakfast at the restaurant was fantastic! For $190 all in, including your parking, it's good.

Excellent hotel, very good location and you're left to park the car until 6pm… This in renewal, it's going to be very good!

Fantastic views from the upper floors. A little old though. In the mornings the lifts can get busy. I waited a good ten minutes and still couldn't get into a lift. I ended up taking the lift up, then down again. The breakfast buffet is pretty average. There's a small gym and a heated pool in the basement which is great.

A dated hotel, needs renovation & lift was a bit slow, but, give yourself enough time to wait. The room was very spacious and clean. Staff were nice and friendly. Complimentary breakfast was a bonus and plentiful. Close to shopping, cafe & restaurants, but a good walking distance to the mall (about 4-5 blocks away), which is a good exercise.

Nice place, room keys were very finicky in elevator n to get in room, room 3405 was very loud all night as you could hear the elevators working from the mechanical room which must have been above, when we mentioned it the next day the one staff member knew exactly what we were talking about before I even finished, the other staff member just blew us off!

Great room, nice view, well ventilated. And the bed was really comfortable.

Very large hotel with 35 floors. Good breakfast and very well located.

Currently under construction. A bit noisy during the day, but the rate allowed to get a discount suite in the city center. Swimming pool and hammam included. Good plan.

Structure in the city centre, of rustic appearance, western style the hall. Very large rooms, even with corner to get yourself or coffee. Decor not brand new.

We always get a room here when staying in Calgary. It is currently in renovation, which is to be finished in 2018. Pet friendly — around 15 bucks per night fee which is not bad at all. A park is about 2 blocks away. Nice, studio like rooms. Highly recommended for the price.

The hotel is a little bit old.

Because of construction, there is loud noise in the rooms during the day, and elevators take a long time and are often full. Location is good, downtown and near Chinatown (lots of restaurants). The breakfast bar is good, but options are fairly limited (eggs only available scrambled, limited varieties of fruit, only juice available is orange). In the room we had the air conditioning did not circulate well, so the living area was freezing while the bedroom was still too warm. Staff is very friendly and were accommodating about the noise. Room was very clean.

Booked a king size bedroom suite with pullout couch. The room / suite was nice and spacious, bathroom was a tad bit cramped but manageable… Price was reasonable for 3 nights. Self parking is available at a price per day. I docked them off 1 star because they had renovations / loud drilling noises directly above us without any fair warning… Would've been nice if they could've moved us to a couple floors above the renovations but maybe the renovation noises were unavoidable.

Good value for money with nice sized rooms, comfortable mattresses. Weekend free parking was a bonus. The stay included hot breakfast. The hotel despite undergoing remodeling while we stayed it did not affect the experience. The staff were helpful and accessible. Will definitely stay the next time to Calgary.

Very large room However the noise from the elevator cables was very present.

Staff did not seem to be very happy there, something that reflected in the service. The hotel is clean and the rooms are large. The furnishings have seen better days e. G. Broken trash cans in my room. Good amount of parkng that is cheaper if you pre pay.

Terrible hotel. A joke. This hotel has not been updated since the 1980s. The staff Is rude and completely inhospitable. Terrible place.

Stayed there for the calgary comic entertainment expo and I don't ever want to stay there again. The Internet and free breakfast was nice but everything else left a bad taste in my mouth. First we were promised a wet bar and we had nothing. Second our vent in the bathroom didn't work. Came out of the shower every morning and had to open the door and wait five mineuts before everything unfogged and became even remotely viable. House keeping didn't clean anything other then the towels. Bedroom window had residue on it. And while trying to sleep there was this loud ticking noise coming from the wall in the bedroom. When I called down to the front desk, simply asking what it was, simply for the comfort of knowing what the noise was (as there was no bedroom right beside us so it couldn't be someone tapping on the wall) we were told to either get over it or to change hotels. (Exact words were "you can put up with it, or I can collect your information and you can find a new hotel") I just wanted to know what the noise was. I didn't even ask for someone to fix it, and was greeted by the rudest service I've ever seen…

The room is fantastic, lots of space to spread out in. The pillows are a little stiff though. Parking is very inconvenient if you have a wheelchair or stroller because the only elevator access from the parkade is on the bottom basement floor.

The location of this hotel is really convenient, located down town and easy to get to. The room is very spacious, clean and comfortable. I love the little kitchenette and office space, but I also have a living room space. The bedroom is typical. The best part for me is the internet Wi-Fi provided. I used the connection heavily and it never lagged and was a really decent connection for all that I had to do, (upload, download, Netflix and played online with an mmo). Free breakfast on the mornings as well! Would book here again.

Called a few days in advance to ask for early check-in. Said it would be ready. Arrived with 3 bags and two children under 5 at the scheduled time and of course the room was not ready! Not a good start. After I walked around the block several times with my kids while waiting for my room, I found they put us in a room right beside elevator shaft. Thought I would give it a chance. After me and my kids laid awake listening to the elevator go up and down beside our head, called down to front desk to ask to be moved. Said there was nothing he could do cause all 2 bedrooms are beside elevator shafts. Said he can put me in a room with a pull out bed! I Said that's not an option as I didn't pay $150/night to sleep on pull out bed! Would'nt even offer a partial refund as I was seriously considering packing up and going home at that point. Then, to top it all off after getting around 3 hours sleep due to the elevator noise, I go to check out in the morning and he tries to charge me $10.50 for parking! I was told when I booked that parking was included! LOUSY room, LOUSY customer service. Will never be back. Oh, and the bathroom was only big enough for a hobbit to fit.

Great value! Loved the 2 bedroom option when travelling with a toddler. A minus was being next to the elevator but with the concrete building it became background noise. We almost changed rooms when I first heard the sound but quickly got used to it and preferred the space we had. One of the most quiet hotels I have stayed at in a long time. Staff were good overall. Room was 'clean enough' as when I pulled off the cushions for toy checks the furniture was a bit gross but overall for the price it was good. The hot breakfast is a nice touch however providing a milk alternative would be appreciated in this day and age. Dish soap in the little kitchette would also be nice. One note though; you have your sign in the bathrooms for being environmentally aware for linens but your shampoo/soap etc are in the smallest LEAST enviro conscious containers I've ever seen so that is an area that could be greatly improved! Personally I don't mind the 'in shower caddy' option if we are trying to be green :-) Will be back though!

What can I say about the Legendary International Hotel Calgary? First I LOVE the all rooms are 600 sq. Ft. Rooms with balconies… Room services is all night and quit affordable as late night sandwiches are less than $10… Rooms are incredibly affordable coming in just over a $100 comes with parking, breakfast buffet, Wi-Fi, and even bottled water… all included with a newspaper… Honestly cannot be this price anywhere… First Rate Service! Unbeatable!

Booked the hotel through Hotwire. Location is good, being right in downtown Calgary. Staff were very friendly and approachable. Room was clean and well maintained, if slightly dated. Parking is available but not free, and apparently is quite expensive during the week. Overall, pleased and would stay again.

Great staff. Wonderful continental breakfast. Comfy bed. Ideal location. A problem with our room was solved quickly, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. The room looked older than the common areas, and the bathroom was smaller than expected. I'm 50/50 on whether I'd stay here again. Some parts were great, others not so much.

With the exception of a small issue just after check in, which was rectified within minutes of the issue being discovered, our stay was excellent. The room was spacious and the king bed very comfortable. The location of this hotel also allows access to great parts of the city within minutes. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

It is one of the best in the world.
