Hosted a professional training event in one of their conference rooms. A pleasure to work with and were more than willing to be flexible as we had several members cancel their attendance on us last minute. They did a great job setting it up for us and took care of the cleanup. A really great crew.

It is a place to crash for the night or two. Nothing really fancy. Balcony door wouldn't open. Bed is rather creaky. And these are some of the loudest hotel blankets I've ever used. Front desk staff is very helpful. When checking in, our room wasn't quite ready so they rebooked us in another quickly. Being located on HWY 1 is a plus. Easy access to just about every where. Attraction packages are helpful though. We booked 2 and saved over $200 in admission and breakfast costs.

TERRIBLE customer service. We are from manitoba so we called ahead to request early check in if possible the day prior, the woman told us we could probably get it but not 100% so we understood. We drove 14 hours through the night so we were exhausted by the time we got to the hotel. At the front desk was the same woman we had talked to on the phone, she told us there were no rooms available for early check in and to just call in a few hours and see. This was at 10am. We called back at 11, she said no instantly. My friend then called back at 12:30 and got on the phone with a man, who she asked if our early check in was ready yet. He said yes instantly and said there were 3 rooms available and to come in. As we came in (from sitting in our car for 3 hours) the woman seen me and instantly said “no rooms still sorry” and I was angry because if this man had 3 available rooms she clearly did not try or care for us as guests. Especially guests who she knew had been up for 24 hours. Had my friend not gotten a hold of the man, we still wouldn’t be checked in because this woman didn’t care enough about us as guests to realize there were rooms. We will never be staying here again, so thank you Annalise.

Older hotel. Some of it def needs a bit updating. Huge room — King suite for a very reasonable price. Super nice staff. Bed was very comfy which is always important! Ate lunch in the restaurant and it was good. Waitresses are super friendly and nice! There is a pool which I never had a chance to use. I would definitely stay again.

Nice bed, quiet room. That's all they had going for them though. We picked this hotel for our wedding guests to stay, on the promise that renovations would be done. They were not. We were given the executive suite, and it was the most run down room I've ever seen. The wallpaper was peeling everywhere, I had to pull up on the toilet to flush it. We made a game of counting what looked like vomit stains all over the carpets. And to top it all off, we tried to use the jacuzzi tub and there was brown poo colored water that came out of the taps. 10/10 won't ever stay here again.

While the Clarion is an older property, the look of the outside doesn't match the feel of the inside. Recently renovated rooms have a nice feel to them. The Clarion has a spacious lobby area and the continental breakfast is very good. The breakfast is served in the restaurant so there is lots of seating unlike other hotels that have a small and cramped room. Can't beat the room rate for the value. I was impressed.

I have stayed here a number of times and enjoyed it. BUT when it's wrong… its really wrong. May 4 — great no issues. Friendly and no need to call down. Shuttle driver is friendly and polite. May 14 — absolutely no ac in my room. Was told to just open my windows… now I'm thinking the girl that said to do that has NEVER stayed in her own hotel before … the windows faced the number 1 highway and between the general traffic and airplane noise there was so many sirens! Worst sleep I've ever had! Between that and the excessive heat (thermostat we had read 28 c in the room) and the noise it was so rediculous I maybe slept only 3 hours sporadically.

Location is good, service isn't also good, rooms were little small as I thought booking a king suite will give me a bigger space room but it's small, overall good experience, staff is good and well receiving.

Clarion hotel had good rates. I suggest getting a floor higher up because you get a nice view. It was dated and the fixtures showed visable wear and tare. Just a couple things to fix and this place will be a very nice place to stay.

It's a decent hotel for the price. Rooms could use updating (especially bathrooms) but overall it's clean and well kept. I liked that my room had a balcony.

I attended a meeting in one of the function rooms. Lobby and washrooms were clean and tidy. Service staff seemed nice. Just an older property with no nightclub or bar to it.

Attended a conference here and had lunch. It was a basic meeting room with Wi-Fi available and the lunch was a bit chaotic as we filled most of the restaurant. They accommodated my food restrictions with a salad instead of a burger. The salad looked so good that my companion wanted it instead of the meal.

The hotel is very clean and the staff were very friendly. Nash, the airport shuttle driver is a great guy. I enjoyed my stay and I will recommend this hotel any day cos it is very affordable and great value for the money.

I had the worst experience at this hotel. K usually never put bad reviews but today I feel like I had to. Everything was great about this hotel I checked in at 11 pm after a 6 hour drive. The guy at the front desk was really Good in assisting me everything but I got a call around 12 next morning saying that I have to leave my room immediately. I told the lady is it ok if I take another half an hour because I was sleeping and was really tired from last night drive. But she was so rude on the phone and told me to leave right away. So I had to pack my stuff and leave. I came down at the reception and asked her why was she being so rude again she told me to leave I asked her name she refused to give it to me and she even called the cops on me. I own a business and understand how important is customer service. If management is reading this please train your front staff how to talk to customers. This happened on Sunday morning at 12:30pm on 18th of Feb 2018. She refused me to give the manager's contact information as well.

Clean, Comfortable… well appointed. Staff were helpful and informative. Definitely would stay here again.

I was here for it baby shower in the skyline room. The room was perfect has a lot of natural light came in and it was a large room. The only downside was that there was no elevator to that room. Lots of parking available and staff was friendly. Location was good has it was just off the main road. Hotel it's a little outdated but clean and tidy.

The room was quiet, the Internet was fast, and the Denny's was near by. They offer deal, where with a nights stay, they will take you to the airport, and provide up to 2 weeks free parking. We did need to get a cab back to the hotel at the end of our trip.

Where to start? Room has a odor of cat piss. Then vending machines don't work. The pool is conveniently out of service. And the staff could care less. If we did not have to be here for the comedy show we would have taken our loss of money and went else where. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Hotel needs a major upgrade and the disinfecting cleaning job here. Giving 1 star here is to much.

We booked a room with a King bed and they charged us for one. However we had requested later a room that was pet friendly. But the never told us the room was going to change and we were forced to into a room we didn't want once we got there.

Stopped in on Tuesday evening as we were stuck in Calgary due to a flight cancellation. It was snowing hard and we wanted a nice warm meal, so we walked in the freezing cold to eat at Fossello's. The woman at the front desk ignored us until we approached the desk and then was incredibly rude when we inquired about whether the lounge was open since we could see the restaurant was closed. No smile, completely monotone, but matter-of-fact tone. An extremely unpleasant experience after a long days travel. It's this kind of person that makes me question why she is working in a position where she has to interact with the general public.

Just setup a DJ and up light display in the conference room. The event rooms are a bit dated and in need of a face lift. The bathroom is a bit scary. Our lights did add a bit of pizzaz to the event space. Lots of windows so we had to choose light locations carefully.

Decent rooms at great price. Room service was good. Front desk staff is very welcoming and friendly. Lots of free parking.

Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. We were disappointed that the pool was much too cold and the hot tub wasn't functioning properly. The hot tub was basically the temperature that the pool should have been. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Room was basic, a little dated in the look. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. Perfect for resting between event days. Food at the restaurant was tasty, and the lady serving brealfast was super friendly and upbeat. A good way to start each day.

Nice cafe serving star bucks if you can ignore the room fan on the floor. Lobby worked well for a networking conversation. Parking is tough to come by. Might be easier to park on street to the east of hotel.

Clean Hotel, friendly staff. Location worked well for my wife and I also. Only complaints would be the hot tub is always just warm. We've stayed at the Clarion on three different occasions and it's been the same every time. As well had to go to 4 different floors to find an ice machine that actually worked. Other then that for the price is a good hotel.

Nice space, Rooms were pretty clean. Carpet had a couple of stains. Linens were all very white and clean. Attended a function and the food was excellent.

I'm surprised by the negative reviews. It was great for myself, my wife and our friend who had just spent time in drumheller. We stayed earlier this past week and the hotel clerk was very accomodating when we arrived. Allowed us to have a 2 queen room vs the king bed. Their rooms are normal size and comfortable. The only reason I gave one less of a star was that one of the beds was extremely squeaky and would wake us up at night. I failed to pass that onto the clerk after we left. Will return for sure!

Comfortable, friendly staff. Needed to be aired out for a bit as it was quite muggy and smelt musty when we walked in. Needed to ask for a fan as there wasn't much air flow. Needs to be vacuumed better as the edges along the walls were filthy and under the furniture. They only clean after the third day but willing to do it more if requested. Plenty of linens. Low water flow but expected in hotels. Balcony with city views. Was right on highway 1 so a little noisy but convenient. Had pool and hot tub for the kids. Had restaurant and room service which seems reasonably priced but not sure how good as we didn't eat here.

Beautiful place and very accommodating staff. Also nice front lobby! But the breakfast cost 14 dollars and it's disappointing for the price also to do laundry they have to send it out and it takes a day to get back.

Amenities need major revamp. Bathtubs are are old and stained or paint chipping. We got our room and the toilet was constantly flushing from the time we came in. We tried to fix it and it didn't work. We were put in a different room. The sink in the second room was totally clogged, couldn't even brush my teeth there so brushed them in the tub. Customer service was excellent, at check out we told the reception and got breakfast vouchers and apologies. Great friendly and helpful staff. But I won't return here due to room condition.

The Clarion exceeded my expectations as I was only looking for a place to sleep that was pet friendly for one night (with a medium sized dog approximately 55lbs), without any outrageous expectations. The staff upon check in and check out were exceptionally friendly towards myself and my four legged companion which made it easier for me to bring her along with me. I felt very welcomed compared to other hotel experiences I've had I'm the past. The only floor pets were allowed was the first floor, which was fine for us because it I clouded a 'balcony' door which led us straight to the parking lot/small grassed areas. This made it easier for me to do random morning doggy potty trips because she didn't have to go far to eliminate herself. The room was perfectly clean. I had no concerns with cleanliness I'm the room, lobby, or restaurant on site. Although my room was right off the parking lot, the blackout curtains provided adequate shade from sun as well as car lights and there wasn't any problems with noises throughout my short stay; even though the hotel is right next to the busy 16th avenue/hwy 2. I would gladly stay there again, especially with any dogs I may be travelling with.

The function room was quite spacious but the service by table necessitates improvement.

It's just so so. Little noisy outside. It's close to hwy 1.

Rooms were good for what we paid and quite clean. The only negative is that a hotel employee knocked on our door at 8 am to deliver our bill and, since we didn't answer, slipped it under the door and proceeded to continue knocking on other doors all the way down the hallway. This seemed like an unusual choice given that check-out is at noon. We would rather have not been woken up so early for no reason.

Close to highway, very noisy even till 10 pm. Have laundry room above my room, running till 9:30 pm, two nights in a row. Worst experience ever. Interior is outdated but room looks clean. But would prefer a quiet place to stay when traveling. Dont want to go back.

Staff are fantastic. Main part of the room is good but the bathrooms are terribly out dated.

Great location, close drive to downtown and most places you may be going. If you don't like noise don't get a city room they are quite loud.

Checking in late at night staff was very rude. Immediatly we became nervous as the shape of the hotel was in rough shape. Got into our room and wasn't in the best shape either. The bed had hoses sticking out and the closet door was off its hinges with no way to put it back in the only mirror in the room was unusable and there was no lighting so made it difficult to spend any amount of time getting ready to go out. The next morning housekeeping came in and accused us of smoking in the room when someone a floor below was smoking and coming in the patio doors. I stay in hotels often and have even worked a few. A proper hotel would not antagonis there patrons by attacking them and threatening to steal there money without any proof or circumstance. There is obviously a serious lack of good management. I would recommend staying anywhere but here. Beware!

A nice place to stay, in a very good location. Plenty of restaurants around, and I would recommend going to then as the in-house restaurant is unfortunately sub-par. Other than that, a decent hotel.

The rooms were very clean and the staff was exceptionally friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone and will be definitely come back again.

Bit of a challenge to access from the east, but the venue is great for the regular business meetings I attend. Lobby is welcoming and the rooms work well for events.

The hotel was nice. Rooms were clean. Staff was nice except for in the restaurant. The restaurant is over priced, the food is not very good and the service is awful.

The rooms were nice and clean good bedding the elevator kinda sucked and the bathtubs need to be renewed. Good room service.

The location is close to airport and downtown. The hotel/room is a little bit out dated. The room is clean. The staff is nice and friendly.

The Clarion is an older Hotel, but they go out of their way ti make you feel comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly. The food in the restaurant is amazing and comes so fast.

This is a 1 star at best. Handicapped rooms not set up well barely usable. First floor rooms ou dated and used for pets. Patio doors not secure.

But they forgot our morning call. Could have missed the n plane.

Would never stay at Clarion Hotel again. Old and dingy. I was scared to get in the bathtub. Whole place needs to be renovated. Staff were fine. But that is all that was ok.

Total DUMP. Ordered a burger off the menu that says "hand formed", it was processed, came out of a box and was burnt to a charcoal consistency. Room heat fan is so loud you can't even sleep, and hotel is right on a BUSY BUSY BUSY street that's super loud, room is boiling hot, drapes don't even block out the light, smells like someone's smoked in this room for 20 years and the fan in the washroom is crazy loud and annoying as well. Water pressure is horrible, taking 25 minutes to fill up the bathtub and NOTHING is updated except really tacky stripped carpet through out. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. Total disappointment. They don't even have proper bed sheets on the beds. Unreal and this place considers themselves a hotel. And plus there internet is super slow. I'm just going to keep adding to this post every hour. Just keeps on getting better and better. Gsshhh. Couch has white stains on it, taps in bathtubs are all screwy and backwards. One elevator doesn't work, you have to weight 2-3 minutes for the other one and it stops at every floor, no matter if there's someone needing it or not. Just so stupid. Don't ever stay here.

Hotel is very dated, Hasn't been renovated or upgraded in 20 + years, carpets, bathtub in room were old and stained, was as clean as you can get something that is 20+ years old. The room that our function was in was in ill repair. Floor was chipped, cracked and broken in pieces, almost felt like they put us in a storage room, gloomy and dark. Elevator wasn't working half the time, had to wait 10 min or more for it to go down 3 floors. We had to take the stairs at 1am with a patron who was had crutches as the elevators were not working. Staff seemed un willing to find away to help. I wanted to check the room for a lost set of keys, and was told that they didn't have keys to the room and banquet facilities wasn't in. I am sure Maintenance or Housekeeping, or even weekend Manager would have a master key. Another patron showed me how to get in the back way. Wasn't impressed. Felt like I was being brushed off when called to check if my keys had been turned in.

I was here for horror con. I read previous reviews on their own website and that's where being unimpressed started. There were several bad reviews and I noticed the management team only responded to the good ones. But to the point. The hotel and our room. The front desk staff we mediocre only had one person on the desk during checkout times on a Sunday. Room service and restaurant staff were awesome would come back to them. In our room poor maintenance is being polite. Not only did the maintenance guy come in when asked to fix something. It took him 45 minutes to show up. Play with a plug and tell me he's going to get some tools. He never returned. Our bed frame was broken and on an angle. A lamp was in pieces just placed together. Bathroom door the hinges were coming out of the wall. Same with the shower curtain bar, the screws weren't in all the way. Even the bed was made incorrectly. It was backwards. The carpet was stained and sticky. Long story short. Go stay somewhere else.

Staff were great room was a bit dated but I would stay again. Bed was very comfortable.

This is now the radission. Staff we're very nice but it is just the old Crossroads Hotel with a new front. Dingy and musty.
