I had a really great stay at Mad Monkey Village! The hostel is always clean and well maintained, from the rooms and bathrooms to the common areas.

It’s pretty nice here. Many long term staying people working around. Bed is comfy. Not noises which is precious for hostel. But still got some pretty good vibe.

Always stay here when I come back to cairns.
The hostel is in a great location, walking distance to everything in the city. Theres a good social atmosphere with events on most days of the week.

I’ve been staying hete since March and honestly, it’s hard to leave. Mad Monkey is such a social hostel with chill vibes. The common area is nice to meet people and the balcony is perfect to relax.

Amazing, historic place with really nice rooms and bathrooms. The restaurant is SUPERB. The location is perfection. The decor, just right.

Perfect location for a charming hostel.
We got a unit with 2 rooms (one king bed room, one bunk bedroom) bathroom and a convenient and cute kitchen space.

I really enjoyed my stay here! The location is ideal, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Perfect for going for a walk or grabbing an ice cream. The Lagoon is just across the road.

I had the chance to spend a few days at Mad Monkey Waterfront, and I had an amazing stay!

Great location. Traveling on motorcycles. Parking was available. We had a private room in the house next door. Very close to everything.

I stayed at Manta Lodge in Room 103 over the weekend for my birthday, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place.
Everything was spotlessly clean.

Amazing Diving Experience (Strongly Recommended).

Great little pub. The Ben's chicken races was great, and the kids loved it. The only let down was the bathrooms. Broken shower head, and broken handles, and missing windows on toilet windows.

What an amazing experience we had. From the bus collecting us and our pup to being greeted by two big gorgeous friendliest dogs. Such a great dog friendly welcoming.

Very cute hostel, pool and outdoor showers are unique. The whole decor is adorable, staff were helpful in giving us info!

To put it simply, this is the best Hostel in Australia & potentially the world.
It is safe, beautifully decorated, spotless and just the most welcoming environment you can image.

Great stay at Dreamtime lodge.
It’s a small cosy hostel a short walk from Woolworths, the city centre and public transport.

Can’t fault Dreamtime at all, we had a lovely stay.
Room was perfect. Nice double bed and it felt spacious with a good fan. A/C is $1 for 6 hours of use.

We stayed as a group of three older ladies looking for an economical place to stay close to family for the weekend, and the Mackay Adventure Lodge was a fantastic choice.

Had a great stay at the lodge, comfy beds and pillows, free breakfast and a pool! Highly recommend the platypus tour and the wallaby sunrise with Michelle!

A lovely room for the price. Comfortable beds, beautiful gardens and surroundings. Nice quiet peaceful stay. Near the beach, walkable to cafes and dinner and short drive to the whale watching tours.

I was pleasantly surprised with this authentic country-pub stay. TMy ensuite room was a good size and thoroughly original yet nicely decorated, clean and comfy. The bed, especially, was superb.

Strongly recommended for excellent pub meals, service, atmosphere. This trip, pleased, open and serving at 2:30pm as we rode into town from Crows Nest. …sadly with burned out rear disc brake.

Good location, safe, clean and the reception staff are simply top tier. Seem to be mostly long termers staying there but as a passing through tourist I found it to be just fine.

I had an amazing stay at Cool Bananas. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was super relaxed and welcoming. The boss Scott was very friendly and so was his dog.

More like a guest house. Quaint and clean with comfy beds. Various common areas inside and outside. A small but functional kitchen and very clean showers and bathroom area.

I liked the layout of the room, and the bathroom was spotless when I arrived. It’s not a party hostel, so I was able to sleep really well. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay.

This hostel, which placed brilliantly in the heart of airlie beach with all the action yet far enough away for it to not be noisy at all was a perfect well priced place to stay after 3 days sailing

Stayed at Gladstone Backpackers recently and honestly couldn’t recommend it more. The atmosphere was unreal — super welcoming, clean rooms, friendly staff and a really chilled vibe.

They are all very kind; it's the first time anyone has helped me carry my suitcase in a hostel. It was very heavy, so I'm very grateful :) They also have adorable dogs.

Was here earlier this year with a tour group. It was an amazing stay. The surroundings are amazing & it's very relaxing. Rooms are comfortable and clean. And you should definitely try their food!

Breeze is the most clean, great hostel with great people at reception to help you with any enquiries. They also accommodate and cater to older travellers which is brilliant.
