Had a great stay at Mad Monkey Village in Cairns.
I really enjoyed the pool — perfect to chill after a long day of work or exploring.

Real good Hostel located in Cairns center.
Cool staff is making sure everybody's needs will get satisfied. Its unstrained, since there’s cleaning ever day.

We had a fantastic one-night stay at Mackay Adventure Lodge and couldn’t recommend it more!

I can alonly leave flowing reviews for this accommodation. It is clean, has the comfiest bed, is well equipped and so nice and quiet.

This place is a hidden gem. I had my own room and shared the bathroom and kitchen. Very modern and clean. Lots of places to chill out or be social. A mix of age groups from many countries.

Had a great time at beachside baacpackers with Gregg, Dave and the team.
The private room was extremely comfortable and very clean.

Great location. Traveling on motorcycles. Parking was available. We had a private room in the house next door. Very close to everything.

I got a pepperoni pizza here in 2025. It was a good pepperoni pizza and I highly recommend you to buy their pepperoni pizza if you go here.

Been in this sleepy town for 12 months now and finally went and got myself a pizza.
Well I can honestly say that it was the best pizza I've had in 30+ years. Wish I had of got one earlier.

Great stay at Dreamtime lodge.
It’s a small cosy hostel a short walk from Woolworths, the city centre and public transport.

Can’t fault Dreamtime at all, we had a lovely stay.
Room was perfect. Nice double bed and it felt spacious with a good fan. A/C is $1 for 6 hours of use.

I was refused accommodation by flaspackerz and thank God for woodshed eco. The young lady there went above and beyond being helpful.

Staff were friendly and helpful, the location was central to everything.
Room was clean and tidy but old and could do with an update. Good amenities but old and camp kitchen was spacious.

Very nice hostel, with good staff that are very friendly and keen on making you feel home from the first moment. We stayed for 4 weeks because we were working close by, and had a very good time.

Friendly, flexible staff who are easy to talk to. Very clean rooms and shared areas, plus a fully equipped industrial kitchen with great views to the Lagoon.

Fantastic ppl. Greta location. Great room. Chilled in the one bed one bath. Clean. Fancy fancy w/o the crazy price. Comfy bed. Place isn’t nosy due to ppl but there is a noise.

I had an amazing stay at Cool Bananas. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was super relaxed and welcoming. The boss Scott was very friendly and so was his dog.

Very good hostel, there is a great nice with a big outside area. It's also not too expensive. The manager is really nice, I would definitely recommend this hostel.

Great place, amazing staff and guests. Wonderful place to escape and relax. They host events most days and regularly go out to surf as a group or visit the sunday market. Good vibes and chill people.

Great social vibe and the outdoor showers were amazing! I loved the open-air setup, it made the place feel really relaxed and tropical.

Charming hostel, very well kept. Rooms are comfortable, the hostel is tastefully decorated. Life at the hostel revolves around the pool and outdoor eating areas.

I had a wonderful stay here. The staff were amazing and the location is beautiful. It’s kept very clean and there is a cute bar and cafe in the hostel.

I spent 2 amazing weeks at this hostel! The place is really nice, perfectly located, and has a great, cozy atmosphere because it’s not too big. It truly feels like a home away from home.

Stayed at Surf Inn in Surfers Paradise and honestly had such a good time. The vibe here is unreal, super social, relaxed, and easy to meet people.

Sheridan and Steph are excellent bar tenders.

We met our friends halfway here at the Royal hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by the kids room and kids activities. Great portion sizes too!

Love these guys. The first day was cancelled due to poor weather forecast. The second day, I had zero expectation after days of rain and the previous day cancellation.

I had a great stay at Mumma’s Hostel. The atmosphere is really convivial, and the staff are friendly and very caring with their guests.

Mummas hostel is by far the best hostel in Cairns (and in Australia)!
Clean, small, with a quiet time after 10pm.
What makes it so unique?

I've stayed in a lot of hostels in my days and after reading your reviews I knew I had to write some truth on here. The rooms are clean as and inviting.

More like a guest house. Quaint and clean with comfy beds. Various common areas inside and outside. A small but functional kitchen and very clean showers and bathroom area.

If you want a great night out go to Ben's Chicken race at the pub, 5pm every night, then kick back with an amazing meal.

We loved our stay at the Royal Carrangarra. The rooms are plain but clean and comfy, beds are totally fine.

Don’t often write review but needed to speak up on weirdest experiences ever, although this is very good hostel.
Hostel is clean and friendly and they have fun event.

Breeze is by far the best backpackers I've been too yet in Brisbane.
