El Camino Motel - Cherokee Inn

Wonderful stay in Cherokee, locally family owned, and Super friendly staff! Very clean rooms! Great location.

Quiet, clean and fairly priced. Great staff and pool!

Well since the owner and his sister have no desire to give me a courtesy call and discuss my complaints I guess I am forced to give a bad review. All I wanted was an apology but I think three days is plenty of time to give them an opportunity to do so. We checked in here with Judy, who told us we would remain in the same room if we chose to stay an additional night, then moved us the next day-no big deal. Until, we were napping in our room and another family came right on in. Apparently the room had been double booked and she checked the new guests in and gave them their keys and everything. I was laying on the bed in my underwear! My husband went to the desk and she tried to say in front of the other people I assume to make herself look better, that we had not paid. Once she straightened it out she apologized for the mix up. We overlooked this, as I honestly thought she was just older and getting a little senile, and we booked another stay the following week as I work in the area. I cancelled my reservation via their contact/email on the website because I couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. We had to call back and rereserve a couple dates bc of my work schedule and she got smart and said "We have a problem, and I don't get email. "? Then why is it a contact form online? She reluctantly changed the reservation.

I would give it no stars if I could. Paid outrageous price. It’s gross dirty. Sheets were so stained with who knows what. Will I do but I will keep it PG. Sink won’t stop dripping and it’s clogged. No hot water in the shower. Tried to come plain. They said they would give us our money back but we had to leave but we had no chose but to stay because of a poker terminate up the road. No hotel with in an hour had any rooms available do to this. Dog hair on the beds. Pubic hair on beds. AC was full of dust. Just gross we will never be back. Pay the extra money and go somewhere else. Had to ask for new sheets. Pillows were stained. No plastic covers for the mattress. Nasty.

Awesome place close to mid town walk to shops casino and walk to food shops.

Cheap, clean, and convenient. Nice owners. Too bad the drop in daycare is closing in September…

The customer service was great. Had a lovely time talking and joking with them.

Very nice and clean and easy access to the casino and downtown cherokee.

The rooms are pleasant very clean there no fridge or microwave price reasonable and you have to pay for your ice.

Older but clean. I prefer clean to modern. Very nice staff.

Nasty rooms. Toilet stopped up. Dog hair everywhere. Carpet stains are gross. Everything in the room is smoke stained. Mascara on pillow cases from previous guest. No remorse from the owner. Shame on you for charging top dollar!

Cute little place. No frills but a fantastic bed and such nice owner.

Was comfortable and clean. Wi-Fi was not particularly worth using due to speed.

Very nice if you travel with pets, plus cheap and close to the Casino.

This is obviously NOT one of the nicest MOTELS in cherokee… They want you to leave your cat in a carrier when you're not in the room. Very snippy person answering the phone. I wouldn't stay here if I didn't have pets after the smart alleck attitude desk person gave me.

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL! If there was less than a 1 star I would give it that. If you have any respect for handicapped, are handicapped, or even remotely care about the handicapped please do not stay here. We booked 2 months in advance and requested the HANDICAPPED option. My father is a DOUBLE AMPUTEE and has no legs. He needs the accommodations of a handicapped room which they advertise as having. Upon arrival, they say they have no fully handicapped rooms! The owner then began to have an argument with my father about this. The customer service is the worse I have ever seen! Who has the nerve to fight with a handicapped man when they are the ones with the FALSE ADVERTISING!

Great location, easy walk to casio or some of the shops downtown. Quick drive to rest. Good sized rooms for two. Towels/washcloths have some permanent makeup and could stand replacement. Great pool. Easy parking. Friendly staff.

Awesome place except for no exhaust fan in the bathroom. U can smell mildew and hopefully no one has to do number 2. Absolutely the only issue we had. Get exhaust fans and definitely 5 stars with recommendation. Had to edit we stayed 3 days and 2nd day we wanted to exchange our towels for clean dry ones and they said "hang them up they'll be dry tomorrow" el Camino hotel will never see us again besides passing by. ✌

This place is in a great location but really needs some work. The lady at the front desk has her dog in the lobby, which is fine for everyone else but I am allergic. The room was so nasty and dingy and dirty, my skin was crawling. I used the restroom and came out to wash my hands, lifted the towel and there was a roach! An actual roach, not a waterbug like the lady at the front counter suggested. We were refunded our money but don't waste your time. I can deal with the filth but roaches, no thank you.

I love it and it is affordable. The people at the front steps nice. We stayed there last year and the manager is very nice.

Rooms aren't much to look at, but close to casino. If you have a bad time, short trip to sleep pain away.

Horrible beds, bad (leaky) plumbing, bad electrical outlets. But nice owners convenient to Harrah's casino.

Absolutely great place to stay. Beautiful views. Great staff. Rooms are nice and clean. The pool was nice size and very clean. Within walking distance of the Casino. And not far from all of the shopping and attractions. Cant wait to go back.

Loved this place. My first trip to Cherokee an I'm glad I stopped by here.

My wife and I spent the night there before visiting Smokey Mountains. Went to the casino nearby and ate some good food. It's nothing fancy, but it's what you expect given the good price range. You won't get dissapointed at all. If you're just spending the night, I recommend this place.

Location excellent, parking spaces big, but don't expect nice amenities. Rooms are outdated.

This is a very good motel, descent price, great location, accept pets and great guest relations.

For the most part it was a good inn but the bed was rock hard.

We love, love, love this motel! It's always clean! The owners and workers are so friendly! It's on the hill up from Harrah's and is within walking distance… it is like a little old time motel with updated amenities! The pool area is great and plenty of parking… we are going again this month! :) I highly recommend the El Camino Inn!
