Very clean rooms, great customer service.

Very nice place and the management is awesome.

The room was only $144 (including tax) a night, so I expected just a basic room in a safe area, but there wasn’t even basic amenities. This was more like a $44 a night hotel instead of $144 a night. — The pool was empty in July.
-Both ice machines were broken, so no ice.
-The room was musty and smelled like cigarettes.
-There was was moldy coffee grounds and moldy leftover coffee in the pot.
-The Wi-Fi was broken, which would’ve been fine, except there was no cell signal. The only positives is that the beds were clean, TV worked, air conditioner worked nicely, it had a mini fridge, and this was in a safe area. The front desk clerk when we checked in that evening was friendly and he replaced the moldy coffee pot, but he blamed the issues on no staff. The early morning (6am clerk) was rude and just didn’t care. This hotel is gonna turn into a one star pay by the hour hotel soon.

The place is full of mold till the carpet back behind the sinks they're horrible they need to be torn down their full of bed bugs the management is really hostile and and they like to take and lie from people their pool is full of stagnant water they have no Wi-Fi they have stiff towels their filters in their air conditioning is nasty they have roach bug feces they had semen on the covers I have pictures to prove it they were supposed to refund me my money she swipe my card three times gave me a refund ticket after she gave me the refund ticket she swiped my card to more time and is now refusing to refund me my money.

We stayed here for one night for our anniversary. The place looks nice in the lobby. The room also looks nice but I seen a hair in the shower, bathroom floor & the sink. It was also very dusty in the room, which I find nasty. Please have your housekeepers clean a little bit better as if you want people to stay there again. Thanks.

It is much saber than Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. It smells like someone snakes in this room but it is clean and quiet.

NO STARTS FOR THIS PLACE! I gave one star because it will not let me post. But if I can save someone from misery, here is my evaluation of this place. This was the most disgusting room I ever had to stayed in. I am even embarrassed to say I stayed there. Once there, we had no other choice. My husband and I read the misleading reviews people posted. Our vacation was ruined. We ended up cutting the trip short and returning home. If you travel a lot and like to be comfortable and like your hotel as clean as your house. Do not stay at the cherokee lodge!

Very nice place. Stayed in Cherokee on numerous occasions and have stayed at several other hotels. Cherokee Lodge is close to everything. Rooms clean and very spacious.

Staff was on point, didn’t miss a beat. They didn’t rush us to check out. Place was very clean and nice. Some view of mountains. Pool was clean and nice. Every thing worked as it should.

As a college graduation gift, my son chose to go to the Great Smoky Mountains. We visited AAA to take care of the details of our trip and they found Cherokee Lodge for us, especially since we were bringing our two dogs along. Cherokee Lodge was affordable, very pet friendly, very hospitable; attending courteously to every need that we had and situated right outside the town of Cherokee and one the 441 that took us directly into the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. This place is everything that you could ask for in an unpretentious way. They don't have the newest rooms with the fanciest amenities, but they do offer comfort, affordability and ease in an extremely charming (and breath taking) setting. I would go back.

The housekeeper never came to clean our room for the entire time my family and I visited. The afternoon after our first night when we realised that our rooms weren't cleaned, the clerk at the front desk said the guy had checked off our room as cleaned when it was a total lie. We literally had to make our own beds AND find them just to get clean towels daily. The pool isn't clean either. The filter was not on and the walls looked molded in a lot of places. The room also reeked of freshly smoked cigarettes and we had to spray our linen and carpet with fabric refresher to get some relief. I feel like managers need to do walk-throughs to make sure that the rooms are up to par. It's a great location but they need to step their game up, seriously.

Nice place but had more jewelry stolen out of our room than what we payed for the room.

Carpet stunk! Carpet looked like it had not been vacuum in years — filthy filthy filthy! Dust everywhere. Hairs from previous guests were on the bathroom floor. I want to add more pictures, but for some reason it only accepted two pictures. Toilet sit was not even the proper toilet sit size. Sheets were stained, etcetera. Located next to a gas station. Pool is outside next to the parking of the gas station. IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THE NICE PICTURES! There are other hotels that look nicer for the same price.

Ofhis is a great place to stay. My husband and I stayed here with our three grandchildren. They are ages 3, 4 and 7 and can get rowdy sometimes. We all had a great time and stayed within our budget thanks to The Cherokee Lodge. Not only was it affordable but also very cozy. We had everything we needed. The staff being nice was a plus as well. And we loved our view. This is a must try place if your looking for a reasonable and cozy place.

More than adequate. Whilst the decor could be construed as dated and our Wi-Fi was intermittent at times, it is the human factor that made all the difference, cleaners and reception staff alike. Thank you one and all.

Comfortable, Clean and Spacious room! We received a room with 2 Queen beds on the third floor (all they had left). Our check-in was easy and the desk clerk was friendly & helpful. There are walk-up ramps that illuminate as you approach the motion detectors leading to each floor level (3 floors) or stairs if you choose. Location… close to Downtown Cherokee, NC and area attractions on the Indian reservation, at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains!

Great customer service. I can't remember her name, but she was so friendly and even gave us recommendations for attractions. The room was fine for the price. Very small TV's and we had no microwave, but if you are there site seeing or to go to the casino it's not a big deal. Clean parking lot and great views.

Clean rooms located next to the river to fish, see Elk and wildlife everywhere. Good food close!

Stay here lastnight. Very clean, standard room. Nothing extravagant but nice. The girl at Check in was very friendly (We arrived about 700pm) as was the gentleman at Check out this am.

Moderate priced with Smoky Mountain views. Can go trout fishing behind motel. Free Wi-Fi clean quiet rooms. Would stay here again.

Room was a bit dated. Our room had a sort of mildew smell, but was otherwise decently clean. Found no bugs anywhere so that's always good. Staff seemed very helpful and eager to help with anything we needed. Overall not a bad place, it just shows its age here and there.

Staff at the desk is very friendly, efficient and accommodating. Room is spacious and comfortable. They must have fixed the Wi-Fi as I haven't had any problems. Love the king sized bed! I could only come up with three potential improvements: pillows are not very comfy, not enough plugs for gadgets (i had to unplug lamps to charge my devices) and room needs a "deep clean"… dusty in some places (lamp and toilet tissue holder, most notably). A comfortable stay without a doubt and great location in the heart of the mountains! Will stay here again!

Evacuating from GA for Hurricane Irma. This hotel advertises pet friendly rooms. Since we will be bringing our dog, we reserved a room at Cherokee Lodge. We received a message from the hotel asking if we needed a pet friendly room, and I replied yes. They told me I would need to cancel my room because they could not accommodate me. Every hotel in GA is booked and I've had to search for hours to find another vacancy elsewhere. It is ridiculous and shameful to advertise as "pet friendly" and then turn away evacuees during a massive hurricane.

I'm not a picky person. Motels are usually the cheapest way to go and all I need is a place to sleep. I don't know what some of these reviewers expected. Its not a five star hotel by any means, but the staff was friendly, my room was clean, it was close to the things I wanted to do, and yes, it had a bed. The only "problems" I encountered was the stopper in the bathtub that I had to MacGyver to stay open while I took a shower and the lack of outlets, but all it took was unplugging a lamp to free one up. (*wipes sweat from brow*) Hope I didn't strain anything! I don't care about Wi-Fi, coffee makers, cable, or the pool. It was clean and had a king size bed to crash on. The End.

Do not waste your money and time here. We picked this hotel after reading some good reviews online but our personal experience is horrible. Cherokee lodge hotel called us yesterday when we were on our way to this hotel because they shut down the front desk at 10 pm. If you have a problem after 10 pm, well you're just out of luck. When I told her the coffee maker in our room is broken, her answer was they do not have extra. When I suggested she could replace one from a room which is not booked at this time, She replied rudely, "I will see what I can do. " They do not provide microwave so we can't heat our baby's food. Tonight when we came back to our room, the coffee maker has not been replaced and the room has not been cleaned. Trash is still sitting here. No beds made. No coffee supplies. Towels were left though on our request.

Overall the room was in good shape our toiletries were not filled toilet paper had maybe two sheets left and only had one towel, not sure why but it's not to big of a deal just asked front desk for another roll and towels. They did place us in a handicap accessible room and we didn't request it so our parking space since we were not handicap was a few doors down which was somewhat of a inconvience. I'm sure if we asked they would have moved but they should have known.

This is your basic, clean, just what you need for a restful night's sleep hotel for about a third of the price you would pay for a room at Harrah's or the other surrounding hotels. Although it is about three or four miles away from the casino, well worth the extra transportation. If on the ground level, can park right outside your door. Really nice park down the street with paved trails for walking, and next door to a Hardee's where you can get a decent cup of coffee. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Would have earned 5 Stars if there had been a vent in the bathroom. Will stay again!

Very affordable. It is, in fact, pet friendly. Beautiful views of the mountains. Far from the casino. We wanted to stay out of the traffic and crowd. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Comfortable king bed. Although carpet was well used everything was clean. Wonderful staff. I expected shabby, and although not new, I was pleasantly surprised that room was very nice overall.

Great location. Recently remodeled. Nice pool. The hotel Wi-Fi is super slow. It's basically unusable because it's so slow. Between that and no cell service we were basically completely cut off from everyone. But that could be a good thing! Overall a pleasant experience. Would probably stay again.

Clean, fairly inexpensive, easy check in and out and friendly staff. I needed the room as a crash pad so I could get an earlier start on nearby trails (late check in and early check out) and was plesantly surprised with a comfortable room and quite comfortable mattress.

Everything was clean but when my mom went into our hotel room bathroom there was a wet towel on the bathroom floor and the Wi-Fi sucks.

This past weekend (3ed thru 6th March 2016) I, my two nieces and sister in law stayed here. First not enough towels to accommodate the 4 of us, I called house keeping and was told they did not have any towels, wash or trash liner bags! I even had to go to the store to buy Toilet Paper! I will NEVER stay there again!

Friendly staff and the rooms where very roomy for the price. Need camera in the tunnels and microwave in the rooms. They have refrigerator but no microwaves. We enjoyed our stay.

Was very disappointed. Smaller than I expected, bathroom extremely small we also had a broken tolet. Won't stay there again.

They gave our room away. I used the wrong card with over draft protection. They checked every card to make sure you had money we had 3 credit cards that had nothing charged on them. One has a 7000.00 limit other was a lot more. They were telling everyone they had booked another day so they could check them. The front desk person was very flustered and told us to sit down so he could do his job. He did call and got us a room 18 miles away. We hold a Wyndham card. They told me I could use any card to hold the room. I have a confirmation number. And I had enough money to cover 2 nights. Very very upset will not be staying at a Wyndham motel again. Reported this to customer service.

NOT RECOMMENDED! The Hotels web site said "Motorcycle Friendly" but that means nothing. My wife and I, along with 5 other couples, took a 7 day trip through the Smoky Mountains and stayed at 6 Hotels. The Cherokee Lodge was the only one that stated MC Friendly. It was the only one who DID NOT let us park our very expensive bikes in a secure cover parking area. Kudos to all the Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn and Ramada Inns we stayed at, all treated myself and my friends very well. The Cherokee Lodge Management and accommodations were below Par in all categories. Cleanliness, Friendliness and Customer Service. Do not choose this hotel. False advertising.

Stayed here September 01-04. Nice size room, very clean and an excellent value for the money. Every staff member we saw was very friendly. Never saw a male on duty except for a cleaning man. And he was also very nice. Our key card wouldn't work and he took it upon himself to take it up front and have it corrected. Will stay here again.
