Wouldn’t rent a room because my family was too large. 2 parents, 4 children (2 small). Place looked about empty you’d think they’d rent out what they could for the night.

Clean, comfy and well priced.

One of the worst hotel experiences I've had. Stayed in the one by the Seattle Airport. The front desk first told me I reserved a smoking room but my reservation on my phone was non smoking. I told them that was unacceptable, then preceded to ask me if I would stay in a room that only them selves could open the door. I guess the card entry was broken, I said no! I finally got a non smoking room, but it seemed like it was in the middle of construction. The bathroom light and panel was removed and sitting on top of the toilet. The rooms are very very small and the walls must be paper thin. I could hear every single thing that happened on the floor that night. The hotel and room in general was dirty and multiple other places in the hotel had half finished work or obvious work that was done very poorly. Do not stay at this hotel.

I stayed here with one of my boys for a father son trip. My wife had asked them to have something special for my son in the room when we got there, like a card. But they went way beyond that and delivered a balloon, a card signed by all the employees, $5 and the woman who delivered it sang Happy Birthday (even though it wasn't his birthday). It made my son so happy. A very nice gesture and surprise.

Great place to stay! 3rd time staying here and its always clean, and staff is always friendly, rates are great!

Not a bad place to stay. Bed was very comfortable but the room was a tad bit small. The breakfast was alright but could have been better. Overall it was a pretty good place to stay. Definitely would reccomend and return.

Nice place to spend the night if it's not to hot our room had a window unit that they cut the wall to put it in by the bathroom didn't cool the room very well.

Bed was comfortable and room was clean, our room had 2 queen size beds perfect for my mother n I. The lady at front desk was very polite. We enjoyed our stay and the view of the mountains. My 1st trip to Cherokee NC loved it.

Great staff! Clean room; bathroom and beds. Beds are comfy and hotel is beside the river. Our room had 3 double beds to accommodate 6 of us— a rare find! And we had a river view. Would definitely recommend.

I give this 4 out of 5 stars as a budget hotel that is well managed, cleaner than the casino rooms, and a good bed in a nicely decorated room. Probably the best Econolodge I have stayed at. While it is not the Cesears Palace, we prefer to stay here when we come to Cherokee.

Large bed, no lumps, new. Very clean, extremely close to the shops in Cerokee. Short drive to the casino. Friendly staff.

We were super impressed with how clean and comfortable the room was! The 3 Double bed suite looks just how it does online. The staff was friendly, helpful, and courteous. Couldn’t ask for a better stay! Will be staying again!

Stayed last night for the Bret Michaels concert. PROS: Check in was a breeze and the girl at the desk was wonderful and very helpful. The beds were really comfortable, the location was great, just a little hidden though. Very clean rooms. CONS: Breakfast was gone by 10:30. The walls are paper thin! Heard our neighbors snoring after they finally settled down for the night. Letting guests smoke right outside their rooms. The smoke drifted into our faces and our rooms. A designated smoking area would be better. Vending machines were very selective on their choices. One very important thing… the Wifi connection SUCKED! Would I stay here again?. Probably not. I used up alot of my data because of the nonworking Wi-Fi.

Paper thin walls, patrons and being able to hear every car that was cranked up in the parking lot made it difficult to sleep. The doors do not glide well and you hear every time people enter and exit their rooms in the night. There was also a loud scrapping noise overhead that we were unable to identify. Unfortunately, on top of that they placed a couple of very inconsiderate people next to us after we checked in. They banged and slammed into the walls at 4 am startling us from our sleep. They continued to bang into the walls intermittently for a while. Around 5 am they watched a comedy… And that was before the loud sex around 5:20 am. Since they had already woke the kids up, we had to turn on the TV and try to drown out the moaning. Since they were not full they might have given a bit more thought to how they filled rooms since it would seem they know the walls don't block sound well. Not the night we were hoping for. The rooms are clean and comfortable but not a great place for rest or for families.

Very friendly staff. Extremely clean rooms. Great location. Within walking distance to shops and cool park. Also, the price is reasonable.

Walls are paper thin. I think I could name my neighbors t. V. Show! And I heard every single emergency vehicle in the area (the building is 250ft+ recessed off the main thoroughfare). There was a stink bug in my room ugh. And I just couldn't sleep as the beds were uncomfortable. But still not the worse hotel I've ever stayed in lol.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. It was an easy walk to the attractions in Cherokee. Breakfast was spread out across the lobby but it was very good. Compared to others in the area, their rates were pretty good! The rocking chairs on the balcony were much enjoyed!

Room was very clean. The staff was great. Would do just about anything you'd ask of them. Would definitely recommend Econolodge in Cherokee to anyone the view from the outside the room would be great if the pole lights and stop light was gone.

Very nice experience. It was quiet, and the rooms were clean and appeared like they'd been recently remodeled. The desk worker on Wednesday night was very nice, put us in a room near the lobby. There are chairs to sit in outside, and rockers in the upper floor. Decent basic breakfast in the morning, cereal, toast fruit.

Ok well I am just going to say these people are selfish! rooms are over priced and not worth what you get. If you are middle class there nose is too far up in the sky to notice. Theres no microwaves in room. Half the refretior dont work and the smell of mold in some of the rooms are horriable…

I thought it was clean when I first came into the hotel. We stayed in room 107 and in the morning I got bit quite a few times by bedbugs. You might want to check that bed over. Tip the mattress.

Booked a room here though Expedia. Got there and they couldn't find our reservation. When I gave them the Expedia reservation number they said it was for the night before. I pulled it up on my phone and showed them that mine said it was for that night, they said no problem, checked us in for that night at no charge! Great place to stay, clean room, very nice people! We will be back.

Very clean and affordable accommodations! I will be staying here again. The complimentary breakfast is more like a feast! Staff was super nice and wonderful people!

Wi-Fi internet is very Slow can't load pics from my Camera to facebook! and we had to go to McD's and it had a 5star on the internet said high speed and no high speed here and making this review I had no internet!

First off the staff are great. The only problems I have are with the room itself. Electrical issues with all but two of the outlets. The heater is a piece of junk that you have to keep on constantly because it doesn't work very good and there are huge gaps between the door and the threshold. It really make for a long night. I will not stay at another Econo lodge EVER!

The staff at the Cherokee NC EconoLodge were very nice and inviting and even let us eat breakfast late! It was nice for an overnight stay.

8 friends 2 rooms, was the standard 2 bed room that I am used to. Bathroom was nice, toilet got clogged a lot tho. The Wi-Fi was great, you dont get any phone signal around cherokee anyway so it was ok. They cleaned the room well, free breakfast was good (cinnamon rolls, muffins, cereal, and coffee) only one thing that really pissed me off. We booked it on priceline, they didnt charge the credit card they, the hotel didnt get any confirmation, we had to pay a worse rate the day we arrived. That was something I really did not like. Overall a pretty good hotel with a good central location.

Clean but the handicap room is not very handicap accessible that I could tell. No bars around the commode. A couple of miles to the casino. Wifi was terrible, I had to hold my phone in the air to get service and still could not use it. I was in a room near the end in a small cove and maybe that was the Wi-Fi problem.

We stayed in the family suite during our visit. It was clean comfortable and the staff was friendly and very accomodating. We definitely plan to stay here on our return and have recommended this establishment to family and friends. It is very well located too. I would suggest stepping up the breakfast a bit… It is sufficient but could be more substantial.

I am not sure why anyone would "knock" this place. It is very reasonably-priced, convenient to Harrah's and clean. I stayed there last summer (2015), and they were even washing down the walkways and parking lot. I plan to stay again for two nights this coming October.
