The staff was friendly helpful… treated us like old friends… the room was spectacular… clean … love the atmosphere … planning to return in the spring.

This is the first time staying and we loved it. The rooms are very nice and the staff are very outgoing and friendly. We had no issues at all during our 4 day, 3 night stay and we will absolutely stay again next time we make it to Cherokee.

My son and I stayed there last year. We returned this year with his family. Lots of updates! Very friendly and accommodating staff. Measures for COVID safety were in place. Constantly cleaning in the common areas. The children were able to do their virtual classes in the lobby. I highly recommend choosing the Cherokee Grand Hotel for anyone looking to have a comfortable stay at a comfortable price! We will be back again! ❤️❤️❤️

Amazing place and even better staff we will be back! Front desk young man gave us so many things to do and see! And places to eat. What a great employee rooms were very clean!

The receptionist and and housekeepers were very nice and courteous. Although they are doing construction to add on it did not disturb my sleep. And the rooms are great.

First thing I noticed when my facing and I arrived was when I walked through the front door, I noticed how clean it was and smelled nice. The staff was nothing short of amazing and very friendly. They were helpful and very friendly with my family. Will definitely be back to this place!

Only 2 minutes away from casinos great atmosphere and accommodations. Many stores and restaurants near by. I love the stay.

The nastiest hotel room we have ever stayed in. The furniture looked like it was dug out of a dumpster. Terrible odor in room, the carpet needs to be removed and burned. I did NOT walk around in the room without shoes on. ☹️ A female bathing suit liner stuck to the wall, tiles in bathroom crumbling off the floor, an inch gap in the door (welcoming bugs and the neighbors cigarette smoke right in). Pool furniture all broken where your butt would sit, the once red chairs are brown from mildew.
Lumpy small pillows, terrible bed (me and my husband kept sinking toward the middle) Woke up with a neck and back ache.
We could hear the lady coughing all night next door, not well insulated rooms. Never again, no thanks. I felt gross after leaving. Staff nice, shuttle nice if you want to be close to casino.

This is a very clean place with extremely comfortable beds (soft). The staff were friendly and very helpful when I needed a way to keep some left overs cool in my car on my trip home. This is close to the casino and has a shuttle that runs every 30 minutes. There is no breakfast but coffee is always available.

Our room was great… clean… affordable… BUT… next to us the people were very very LOUD, sounded like 2-4 men in there jumping, hitting very LOUD voices, on second floor … this was 10-11:30pm second floor Aug 29th 2018… won't stay here if I see a lot if workers in the area staying here other than the rude guests there everything else was fine.

It was a very pleasant stay! Check in was very easy. The front door was closed due to painting so it was a bit difficult bringing the trolley through the side door, but we managed. It was clean and spacious. Very close to the casino which was amazing! They didn't serve breakfast, but coffee was provided.

Reserved room days in advanced for husbands birthday. We arrived at 8 and tried to check in only to find out they gave our room away and they were full. They said my card was declined at 5pm that day. There was no reason for my card to be declined. However, a phone call would have been nice. I have other cards. Would not recommend and will never book with them again.

Very nice hotel. Clean. Nice room, very comfortable. Nice staff. Hotel is located less than 5 minutes from Cherokee Casino. Even provides shuttle service to casino. Price was great. Stayed on a Sunday night for less than $ 100. Much cheaper than staying at the casino hotel. Parking lot was and well lit. Rooms are accessible by elevator if on second floor and you need it. Not sure if there are handicap accessible rooms or how many. The only negative is a lack of complimentary breakfast.

My spouse and I came down to gamble for the weekend and chose to stay at the Cherokee Grand. It was a wonderful experience. The staff are amazing, the rooms are very comfortable and on the weekends they have shuttles running to the casino. Very convenient. Will for sure be visiting again.

Very clean, staff are excellent yes I would definitely recommend staying here. Price was also great. Lots of local shops to enjoy.

Very nice Hotel. Room was nice. No table though? Bed was clean and comfy. Only issue was we wish the Casino Shuttle Service ran a little later than Midnight. Seems a little early for folks having a good time to have to cut it short. But very pleased with our stay.

My husband and I stayed at the Cherokee hotel may29-31 and enjoyed everything about this hotel. They were very clean rooms and the staff were exceptionally friendly. The grounds were very well kept and they also have a small pool. We were surprised to find out they have access to fishing on the property. This hotel is a 5 min. Drive to casino and walking distance to several shops and eateries. They also offer under cover access for motorcycles. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend this hotel!

Terrible service. Arrival time 11:30Am. Was told check in time was 3-4 pm. So we went to several shops and museums to kill time. 2nd arrival was 3:38pm. Was told they were short staffed and could not check in until 4:30pm. What a piss poor ran company. And the punk kid had some attitude. Will never again waste my time or money here again.

The price of the room used to include a good breakfast but last time I checked they didn't have that anymore. Still a nice place though and convenient to the casino.

Had a great stay here. Chip was working the front desk, and was incredibly nice and gave us some great suggestions.

If I could I would rate this hotel with 0 stars, but since that’s not an option they get one. To say that this hotel sucks is putting it nicely. When I first walked in I got greeted by a lovely odor and a friendly guest of a dead bug on my window. Along with that and paying 144 a night I had to send an additional 40 on buying new sheets, blanket, and pillow cases because I refused to sleep on the sheets that were provided and good thing I did because there was a stain on the blanket. Along with the sheets I also bought shower shoes and disenficent spray, which also doubled as air freshener. During my stay there was a mysterious black bug that kept coming up out of no where and another that kept flying around the room. The AC couldn’t be turned on because whenever it was there was another pleasant smell that came from it. Long story short idk how they have 4.1 stars and DO NOT stay here!

Never even got a chance to stay here. I spent 30 minutes trying to call them and the phone rang and rang for 10 minutes straight each time and then just hung up. On my tenth try someone picked up and screamed at me… somehow the phone number posted was connected to a guests hotel room… GREAT business practice right there.

They advertise that they have casino shuttle service but do not tell you that is only on weekend. Employees were not friendly more interested in talking to each other than helping guest. We arrived earlier than we planned and were told no early check ins period. The night we stayed there was maybe ten people there so it was not that they were booked. Enjoyed Cherokee but will definitely stay some where else when we return.

Nice Staff. I would definitely stay again and it's very close to Harrahs Casino. Loved it.

We stayed just this past weekend and we had the deluxe jacuzzi room. The room was ok with a 50'in tv, fridge, microwave and our view was the side of a giant hill but the cable only had less than 20 channels and even though the website says free breakfast they didnt have it! The jacuzzi was huge but 2 jets barely worked it was still enjoyable. But they do have elevator and free shuttle to the casino across the street. Our room was across from elevator which u hear going up and down and the window in our room actually opens. The snack machine on the 3rd floor was out of order, didnt even have anything in it. Hotel needs alil up dating but other than that, it was a nice stay!

The rooms were very spacious and clean. They were a bit dated but that didn't affect the overall stay. Very convenient to the casino. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

This is a very nice place across the road from the casino. Nice views and just about anything you would want to look at our shop for is all conveniently in the area. Had a great time. Calvin and letitia Rochester. P. S choose this place you won't regret it.

Good: room was quite big, bed was comfy, good water pressure in the shower, and a short walk to the casino. Bad: paint peeling, wallpaper peeling, horribly stained chair, everything was very outdated, the door had a considerable gap at the bottom that light and cold air (and who knows what else) could come through; also, the bathroom sink drained onto the floor — not only when we used it, but when the room next door used their sink as well.
If there wasn't the sink issue I could justify paying half of what we did, but I won't be staying here again.

Stayed here for 2 nights this past weekend, clean bed and nice staff. Stayed in room with king bed and refrigerator in the main building. Liked the shuttle van to the casino! I thought they served complimentary breakfast but they don’t. Our sink kept dripping water but that was the only bad thing. Stayed here for a concert at the casino.

Front desk guy was nice and hospitable. 2nd room we were given was clean. 1st smelled of cigarettes. Would stay here again.

Beautiful hotel and it's just a short walk to the casino… You don't have to even walk outside! Great customer service and most of the employees are agreeable. Def worth the experience if you have the means/opportunity to stay.

This is a great hotel to stay. It’s relatively inexpensive and the rooms were recently remodeled. It’s close to the casino, and the shuttle runs every 30 minutes and stops at midnight with the last drop off and pick up.

Stayed there overnight Dec 23. Room and hotel clean. Beds were ok. I have no complaints. Would stay again.

Older hotel but the rooms were clean and decently sized. There is a shuttle to the casino that leaves every 30 minutes (until midnight) but honestly it is a pretty short walk. The only downside was the fact that the doors seemed paper thin — we were awoken several times by loud groups of people returning from the casino and talking out on the balcony around 3 and 4 in the morning.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and had great experiences until this last time. I stayed in room 500 which is right next to the street. I could hear cars through the air conditioner and it was raining which made it worse the hotel was full so I didn't complain that night because there was no room to move to. During check out I was asked how my stay was and I mentioned my problem. I left my contact info for the manager. I went back and fourth several times with management to find out that nothing would be done about the issue. Great customers aren't so valued. I'm sure they could care less about my complaint since the rooms are always booked.

Desk receptionist Chip was very professional. We were very disappointed though after seeing on Bookings com. They had breakfast. We got here & no brkf. Advice to management to update other booking agents & companies of your exclusion of your brkf option. Room was very clean & comfortable.

DO NOT STAY HERE! This place is horrible! The staff was not friendly and when we got off of the elevator, the entire floor reeked of pot smoke. It was worse in our room when we first walked in. Our toilet backed up after only being there about 30 mins and we were brought a plunger to fix it ourselves which didnt solve the problem. I ask for a different room only to be told not possible. If we hadn't been there for a concert at the casino, we would have left. The room was dirty and if it wasn't too late to drive home I would have. I could not get out of there fast enough. Will NEVER stay here again!

Was not accommodating at all. The shuttle bus doesn’t start running until 4. The people behind the desk was rude and not friendly at all. The house keepers were very friendly and the rooms were very clean.

Do Not believe what you read on the website! I booked a Deluxe with 2 queen beds. The room was terrible! The carpet filthy, the 1 chair looked like they picked it up from curb side trash the thing was so black from grime I would not have even put a magazine on it let alone my body! There was no dresser! the bathfoom fan did not work, the mirror that was to be hanging on the wall was laying on the counter, the room smelled of stale smoke & when we turned on the air I had an asthma attack due to all the caked up dust! Website says shuttle runs till 3 it stops at 12 & for the free breakfast I hope you like coffee cuz that is all you are going to get! They say it is across the street from casino, it is a Seven minute drive! No easy walk here! For the $219 charge per night RUN! Run anywhere but don't stay here! — — NOTHING GRAND about this place, it don't even rate nice-!

This place is a dump. My girlfriend and I stayed in the converted motel section and the bathroom was atrocious. The shower literally had black mold in it. People's hair and mildew was stuck to the grouting and 1970s wallpaper. There were holes in the wall that were never fixed from the previous TV. The bathtub was peeling because they had painted it over to get it to look white again instead of cleaning it. There were visible spider eggs in the corners of the bathroom. And lastly, the water heater only had enough hot water for a short 5-minutes in the shower. I felt like we were in a room that had been a part of a murder mystery. I'm highly disappointed and dissatisfied with this hotel. Especially that it cost my girlfriend $170-ish dollars to book.

Great location within Cherokee. Room was spacious enough with good accommodations. Not much to complain about.

September 23 2017 We came up for a nice getaway. The room we stayed in was not in the building shown in the picture on the website. We were in an older building off to the left side by the pool which was old. It smelled and the bath tub looked painted over, we had a 32" TV with bad speakers so if you turned the volume up to hear it over the air condition you couldn't understand what was being said and on some stations you could hear nothing at all no matter how loud the volume was turned up. The bedspread was dirty so we didn't use it. The bedskirt was stained as well as the old lamp shades I wiped EVERTHING down before I touched it. It was one of those rooms that had a musky old smell and just makes you itch. They advertise Deluxe rooms… well I guess those are in the main building because this room sucks and we were locked into paying 149 for Friday… there are other places near the casino that are Much nicer. Spend the money so coming back to your room can be just as enjoyable as the activities you choose elsewhere. Be warned!

I don't know where the other reviews are coming from but no one I spoke to there was happy with this dump. The room at first had a strong disinfectant smell then after 15 minutes the staleness and stink of the room appeared. Didn't even want to leave luggage in room. No internet, front desk rude and could care less. Don't stay! The pictures were nothing like we saw.

Very nice place. Only problem we had was housekeeping came into our room even though we placed our Do not disturb sign outside our door. The front desk didn't offer anything other than an apology. We stayed 2 nights, and planned on a cpl more. Considering the situation. We decided to stay somewhere else. I was fuming. We go to Cherokee, for the casino. So not feeling that our belongs where safe while we aren't at the room makes a huge difference for us. The pool was closed as well. Overall not a bad room. Pretty clean n very updated.

Very good quality for the price. Clean, modern. Staff was nice and helpful. We loved the pool. Only problem : the view. We got a room in the mean building, in the opposite side of the street. View of a wall of rock and grass. At least it was quiet ;)

You can pay 500 a night to stay in the casino or you can pay 130 a night to be right across the street. Rooms were very clean with the best looking bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel. Customer service was wonderful. Rooms were above average for the price. The hotel is walking distance to save the gas or car ride. Literally a 3 minute walk to get inside and get your gamble on. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

It was nice… the rooms are "No Smoking" but had a place outside our door to smoke and dispose of cigarettes. They had "Pool Towels" to use at the pool if you didn't bring one. The pool was a little green but other than that it was nice. Our room had a Refrigerator and Microwave… stayed 3 nights and Would stay there Again.

Very nice, large renovated rooms. Clean and friendly staff. Reasonably priced compared to other hotels in the area. Wish we could have stayed there the rest of our trip but they were booked!

Best hotel in the area! Price is reasonable but accommodations are outstanding! Freezing AC, king size bed, jetted hot tub, lobby is the only way to access the elevator (building has 4 floors) so privacy and security are guaranteed. Plus there's shuttle service to the casino! This is my absolute most favorite place to stay in Cherokee.

The hotel staff is amazing and the rooms are clean and comfortable. When I come to the casino and can't stay at Harrah's my next choice is the grand.

I know people are quick to complain and slow to praise but I will be posting a great review of the Chestnut Tree Inn right after this because THEY stepped up and fixed the situation. Got booked at this hotel through the Casino and was told I'd be in a renovated room WITH a breakfast buffet in the morning. Neither were the case. They were out of upgraded rooms and stopped serving breakfast in January. Ok, stuff happens… but it was the attitude of the Front Desk staff who clearly didn't care that set me off. They made no effort to accommodate me for the remaining nights and said it was policy not to move rooms and just said if I didn't like it I could try to switch properties. So I switched properties. Still had to stay there the first night. Bedding was pretty bad and the leather bench in the room had more exposed padding than leather which harbors disease and is a lawsuit magnet in gyms for contamination issues. The Chestnut Inn down the road has earned my future business.

All the rooms are "SUPPOSED" to be Non-Smoking. Room 101 is an ashtray! When we arrived and walked into the room, the smell of cigarette smoke literally took my breath. I have asthma and smoke is a big problem for me. We informed the front desk whereas they graciously DID NOTHING. 3 hours later… I have a full on asthma attack. Beyond the ashtray effects, it sounded as if someone was using a jackhammer ALL NITE! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE…

Horrible experience, very rude front desk clerk. Did not honor reserved room request. I have 2 handicapped parents and they put us upstairs on the other side of the hotel far away from the elevators. On top of that I was owed a refund over a mistake on their part and was told that only a manager could authorize that and she wasn't one. Was not willing to call one. I would tell anyone to stay far away. One of the worst vacation experience ever!

Fantastic hotel! Nice large and very clean rooms. Very friendly, kind and informative staff, especially Chip and Larch! Excellent recommendations on local cuisine and must see attractions. This hotel beats any other I've stayed at in the last 5 years! Will definitely return.

Very well kept. Very friendly staff and it's the cleanest Hotel ever. Also very convent being just right across the street from the casino. The rooms are big. You don't have to ask for refrigerator or microwave because it's all there. Housekeeping is awesome.

Never stay here! they have a racket going in order to misuse your credit card on file. the most popular one is trying to say either you are a smoker or had a pet in the room. (150.00 extra) also, have stooped so low as to allow maids to take your property and nothing is safe left in your room. i have personally reported everything to reservation authorities. ed.

It is conveniently located close to Harrahs. The room was nice and clean and there continental breakfast was great.

To all casino on goers: I Bernard Weaver officially ACCUSE Tammy Mowery a maid at this hotel of stealing 1000.00 out of my suitcase. I know what a lot of you are saying but when we left our room the money was there when we came back from shopping the money was gone, when I closed the door to my room I thought everything was secured I was wrong I have not gotten the answer from the owners are the police.

One of the maids (a white lady) went through all of our bags & stole $1000 out of my daddy's suitcase. I really didn't expect the hotel to give my daddy his $ back but the way management and the owners handled it was wrong. All we got was an "it's not my problem" attitude. The maid literally went on a scavenger hunt through all of our bags. Granted my daddy was way too trusting to leave cash concealed in his suitcase but in the same sense none of us expected a maid to scavenge through our personal belongings either. I'm sure that she won't show back up to her job and if she does I hope they fire her. What she did was a felony. Grand Larceny. Yet will most likely walk away with $1000 and a smile. Trash.

This hotel is horrible. Trash. One of the maids stole $1000 out of my grandfathers bag. You shouldn't have to worry about that when you stay at a hotel. She went through all of the bags. Surprised she didn't steal our Walmart makeup. Do not stay here unless you want things stolen from you. Hotel did absolutely nothing about it.

Was a great stay nice people. However we checked out at 10am and when we realized we left some of our sons toys behind we called at 8pm and they didn't have them "they throw everything that's not a cellphone away" my 5 year old is broken hearted. Sad they don't hold on to stuff for at least a day.
