I had to make a last minute cancellation because of an emergency surgery the day before my stay. So basically I had no control over the situation and couldn’t cancel my hotel stay “24 hours” before my check in day. no one plans on having an emergency surgery and cancels their hotel reservation in the emergeny room when they had every intention to go on vacation the next day! i had vacation plans for christmas to go to disneyland with my entire family — about 20 people. I was taken to the hospital in an ambulance, had surgery and when I arrived home that evening I was laying in bed only an hour later trying to get a refund. They would not budge! They have a “strict policy” or in other words, “no sympathy”! Over $800 down the drain. I’ve been trying to contact them for 3 months to get my money back and they are refusing to talk to me at all. The front desk lady told me today, “December was a long time ago so…” So what?! This issue still needs to be resolved! They say “send an email” and all they reply with is — “we can give you a discount” but won’t tell you how much of a discount until you book with them again. Why would I book with them again when they refuse to give me my money back?! All they say is, “the manager is busy, the manager is in a meeting” and keep giving you the runaround and send you to Johns voicemail over and over again. If they recognize your number on caller ID they won’t answer. They are extremely UNPROFESSIONAL and are only in it for the money.
