Cheap. Clean. Good for a night or few hours when travelling. Best location! Right opposite train station and in the centre. A lot of food joints and shopping.

Had a very enjoyable stay while I was going through a rough patch. Staff were extremely friendly and the room was very decent with a nice view. Overall a nice experience and I'd definitely stay again (especially given the price)

Eventful stay. Stayed for 4 nights in a twin room with a friend. Firstly, the location of the hotel is excellent — walkable distance to many nice restaurant and just next to Electric cinema, which I really recommend visiting. Secondly — the less nice stuff, the stay itself. The first morning I’ve found a puddle in the bathroom. The wet stains on the ceiling suggested that there must be some leakage. I told the reception and when we got back in the evening, all was clean so I thought it was fixed. However, that evening I suddenly heard water go off in the bathroom and went to check — there was literally a waterfall coming from the ceiling for several minutes. I filmed it and we went immediately downstairs to tell the reception. The young lady did not seem as concerned as we expected her to be — she said she’ll get someone to check and offered to give us some toilet tissue to dry it — she did not know where a mop was. Eventually we decided to use our towels to dry it up as she assured us we would get some clean towels once someone comes upstairs to check our bathroom. About half an hour later, no one came to check our room. So we went downstairs again, and I was getting really annoyed. The lady was confused that we were complaining again, saying that there’s nothing she can do and that she sent someone to see us (she didn’t — no one came the whole night). I said I was surprised that she had not gone up herself to check and to perhaps get someone to clean it.

Nice clean hotel, friendly staff.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Good location but very noisy. Would not stay here again. Room service did not change the towels for fresh ones. First hotel I have ever stayed at where this has not happened. Room had a hair dryer that nearly set on fire while I was trying to use it. I told reception who sent me a replacement but they kept the faulty one still in the room. Hotel is outdated and needs a refresh.

Once of the worst hotel experiences my partner and I have ever had the unfortunate luck of encountering. We were blasted with the smell of marijuana from our room, defamatory comments plastered on the windows, absolutely no ventilation, etc. We complained about the strong marijuana smell to reception who became extremely defensive and deflected any responsibility at all to make the stay more comfortable. We wanted to check out due to the inhospitable conditions of the room, and were refused a refund, which we will dispute later.

There was no air conditioning so it was uncomfortably warm, I couldn't keep my window open all night due to having fire exit stairs right outside my window so anyone could climb up to my room like romeo and Juliet! The kettle that I had in my room was absolutely filthy, It was literally like someone had been cooking soup in it. Very noisy hotel, I had someone on the floor above me at 3am walking backwards and forwards for an hour either drunk or sleep walking and a lorry outside loading/unloading rubbish at 4am. Considering the size of this place and the great location it is in you would think more effort would be put in to make sure the place had air conditioning first of all and cleaner rooms. I Won't be staying here again and wont be recommending either.

Decent bar clean and warm good prices and friendly staff.

For the money it can't be faulted. I really like the bar, it has comfortable seating, its warm and well stocked. Also a pool table. Rooms are clean and warm, great bed. Views aren't the best out the back but thats a very minor complaint. Close enough to anywhere in the town.

The window had a gap in it so there was a constant draft and made it freezing. Not kept very well and a few things were broken but had a comfy bed and is located in a good spot for going out in the centre.

Good sized room, helpful at reception but very dated and the bar, well, I was happy enough with it but many would walk straight back out. Good central position and an arrangement with the China Town car park makes for cheap parking. Ok for a night or two but no longer.

I stayed at the Comfort Inn with two friends as it was close to the o2 academy where we were watching a band. The staff were brilliant and the beds were the most comfortable I've slept in. The breakfast option looked great, although we ate elsewhere. Car parking was confusing, as there isn't parking on site, but they have a deal with a car park nearby (2 minute walk) where the guests get a discount.

Easily located hotel for access to station and town centre. Room was basic but clean. The man on reception who checked me in was very friendly and helpful, he gave a great first impression! Great experience for the price.

Lovely warm comfortable with friendly helpful staff. Winners world church meets there in the board room but today we were in the bar and lounge. Afterwards we were allowed to bring in our own food. We usually have refreshments after the service upstairs.

Good if you arrive late in the evening in Birmingham and want to continue the next day with the train and no buck has to run big with the luggage around the area. You can drop out of the station and be right next to the hotel. For evenings there are quite a few clubs and pubs in the area. Staff is very friendly as almost anywhere in Britain. Rooms are very basic. Despite the city location quite quiet. The hotel certainly has the best time behind it. Feel good factor was quite low for me. Doesn't necessarily have to go back there. For the price I had already slept in better hotels.

I really enjoyed my stay at comfort inn. The staff were friendly and the room was lovely.

Very convenient location, near the station. Room was basic and not completely clean. When I arrived there was noise from the bar underneath and in the morning there was traffic noise, but I slept well.

A little difficult to find by car, but the hotel was in very good condition, clean and tidy, breakfast was really nice, all the staff were very helpful and friendly even giving directions and a map to find our venue, free Wi-Fi for 24 hours. Will definitely be back again :)

Not a wink of sleep due to noise outside, not the cleanest. On the plus side, you be hard pushed to find a better location. It could be a lot better.

Well positioned next to the train station, the hotel is well priced and had reasonable facilities. Breakfast is available at an extra charge and is nice. Overall a good place to choose.

I don't recommend this hotel. I was there for 2 days and I couldn't sleep because of the noise (the hotel is near garages, bus station, ventilation ducts) and because of the windows, which don't close properly. They changed me to another room and the noise continued. Apart from the noise, the room was dirty and the door's bathroom was broken (it had a hole in it, as if somebody punched it). I wanted to make a complaint, they gave me a blank paper and told me the manager would contact me the next day, but he didn't. There are better hotels in Birmingham for the same price.

Rooms could be ok but look worn-out and need manteinance. There is a big problem: half of the rooms are oriented towards the train station (there are also a bus stop and some garages) and the ventilation ducts are very noisy all the night. The other half are oriented to some old industrial buildings, also with big ventilation ducts, and there is not much improvement. On top of this, the windows are very old and worn-out and they dont help mitigate the noise. Some rooms are very hot too. In the end, depending on your tolerance you may find sleeping there ranging from uncomfortable to impossible. I really think they should adress this problem and at least install new windows.

Great location, right opposite Birmingham New Street station. Short walk to center of city. We were there for stag do so this hotel was ideal for access to bars and pubs. Reasonably priced bar in the hotel with pool table and darts. Rooms adequate but can be noisy due to its location. Only a small lift (didn't use it). Several takeaway restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance. Overall a good choice for groups.

Much better than expected: a pleasant surprise. Great value. Smelled of unperfumed cleaning product, but then again was very clean.

Hotel very close to the station so convenient to get to if you arrive from New Street station. The rooms are clean and comfortable enough for the price. The only flaw is the warmth that is always there in the rooms.

The location was excellent, the staff were very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. The only down side was the noise from the street. But excellent value for the price.

I had a really good time there. The staff were always very helpful but they let you on your own if you don't ask otherwise. The service left the rooms very clean and tidy daily. The location was superb. You could reach almost any interesting point of the city by foot.

Wouldn't stay here for free. We arrived at the comfort hotel yesterday 2.3.17 the place seemed pretty dated and not the cleanest. Was given our room key to room 312. As we approached we where knocked back by the smell of weed and what smelt like sweat. We entered our room where the smell wasn't so bad. Went out on the night cinema back early hours to find our room and landing stinking of weed. Reported to reception who said they couldn't do anything about it. Said they will put us in another room on the same landing. Even contacted the police they where not interested. We demanded our money back and left the dive. Definitely nothing comfy about this hotel that's for sure.

Rooms without ventilation with strong smell of closed and humidity. Uncomfortable mattresses. Poor services (Wi-Fi absent). Positive note: It looked clean. Certainly wasn't worth the money spent on the night.

The location is good but I was really disappointed with the rooms. Very dirty and has an unpleasant smell. I had to move into another hotel because I couldn't cope. Im not recommending this to my enemy.

The Birmingham Comfort inn is cheap (though there are other similar priced deals available if you look). However, the cheapness shows. There were many downsides to my stay. The lift was ropey and very temperamental. Like the rest of the hotel its long overdue for an overhaul. I stayed on the second floor in a room at the centre / back of the hotel. There was no daylight in the room with the old windows opening onto a narrow central shaft. You cold just about see the sky if you looked out and upwards. This also meant that there were other rooms with old windows opening onto the same central shaft. On one occasion one of the rooms was occupied by inconsiderate louts having a very loud, and by the sound of it drunken, party till very late. The room was hot with no air conditioning or fans. On the plus side (one of the few! ) the room was a reasonable size. The furniture was cheap with badly fitting drawers and wardrobe doors. The bathroom was dated but adequate apart from the shower. This was over the bath (not uncommon) but had a square shower rail and curtain that only gave a closed cubicle of something like 2 foot square or 4 square feet (.

Looks a but shabby from the outside and the building site opposite doesn't help but very cheap and rooms excellent value. Much better than some larger hotels I've stayed in. I'll definately be back.

Cheap and cheerful, get what you pay for. Great location. Enjoyed our stay.

Best value hotel I've ever stayed in. Warm and cosey. Wifi is £20 for 5 days though which is a bit annoying.
