Love this hotel! It’s historic and several celebrities have stayed here over the years like Jimmy Hendrix and the Beatles. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are very nice. Will stay here again.

Nice place!. Stayed with my daughter and grandkids. 8th floor was a pain and wish my balcony had a view of the front instead of ugly roof. Not sure what was deluxe about it but I paid extra for it!. But had a great time in the pool and very close to many places

We just left the hotel after a 2 night stay. We had a great experience! Hotel is very clean. The rooms were amazing and very roomy. Beautiful decorations and architecture throughout hotel. We also noticed how quiet it was where we were and had nice nights of sleep. Nice location close to restaurants and metro station too. We especially loved the milk and cookies we were surprised with on our first night there before bed! Thank you for a great experience!

This a great hotel. The rooms and service provided were above my expectations. The area around the hotel is beautiful and close to all of the sites and sounds, via the Metro, or other means of transportation. I've stayed here several times for conventions and have always had a good experience. With the any hotel choices you have this is definitely a great, no hassle option.

I arrived at 4:30 p. M. To find that my room was not ready. However, management jumped in to not only get me into a room but to upgrade me to a Presidential Suite! All I can say is, Wow. This suite is exceptionally roomy and so lovely, as well. I will say that some modern conveniences are missing — handy outlets, for example, and although there is a microwave and full refrigerator, I don't have any plates or silverware. However, the historic beauty of the hotel, comfort of the bed and friendliness of the staff makes it all okay. I love that they remember to deliver my newspaper in the morning (local as requested), and that the Wi-Fi works so well, unlike many busy hotels. The location of the hotel is also optimal — and is a terrific place for a conference. I will definitely be back.

This hotel stay has been one of my favorites for a work conference. The hotel grounds are beautiful — classic historic landmark. The rooms are clean and quaint. There are not a lot of outlets for electronics, but that's because this is a historical building. The double queen room is decently big with a large closet. The bathroom is very, VERY tiny — which is the only challenge. The conference rooms are beautiful. Staff are extremely friendly. Pricing is extremely high, but you are getting a quality stay. If I could stay here again, I will be fortunate!

It's an older building that is under going remodel. The layout of the rooms are interesting, but the beds are comfortable and the water pressure is good, especially for an older building. Where my stay was fine, a colleague who spent a few nights in the hotel had to relocate to another room because of a rat that decided to make it's presence known about about 11:30PM one night. The staff relocated her without any questions, but seemed, according to her, like this had happened before, as the desk did not seem surprised at all. The animal in her room was not a bug, it was definitely a creature.

We had a wonderful stay at Omni Shoreham. The grounds were gorgeous. The pool was amazing. Our room was very spacious. We loved that it was in walking distance to many restaurants and beautiful neighborhoods. The metro is only a block away making this a perfect location for anyone visiting the DC area! We look forward to a return trip soon!

Very Pretty and Impressive Lobby, Guest Rooms are large and comfortable, bathrooms are small and could use updating but are nice and clean. Service at check in, valet, check out and breakfast was all great. Breakfast is a full hot buffet with omelet and waffle station prepared for you — which is great if you have a package where it is included but it is 29pp if you don't. Garden and grounds are beautiful behind the hotel. Overall we had a great stay with the Zoo package (the Zoo is about a 10 minute walk) and we would stay here again.

Nice old style hotel. Convenient to Metro. Especially good to stay here if you do not have a car. Very convenient to Metro and close to downtown and that way you avoid the 50 dollar or so overnight parking fee, which seems about average for DC hotels. Has full bars and restaurants although all we tried was the pool bar which was great. Pool area in general very nice. Staff all helpful and friendly. As a tourist you can get some great rates when there are no conventions or meetings, or on weekends.

Overall, service and staff is great. Mandatory valet parking at $52 per night is insane. You either use valet parking or park off property.

Wonderful historic luxury hotel in the heart of Washington DC. The check in prices was ready and the concierge was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in terms of the events, sights, and activities of the Washington DC area. There is a beautiful garden area in which one can relax in a hammock under the trees. The pool is clean and refreshing after a long day of summer sightseeing. The rooms are clean and the decor is fitting for the location. The only thing that confused me was that the refrigerator, coffee maker, and ice bucket were housed in the dresser and took a bit to find. The hotel restaurant was a bit pricey for what you got but was tasty. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

I was there for a wedding and as an overnight guest. The property is beautiful and the wedding reception was excellent. However they lose some stars based on their late check-out policies. We arrived at 2pm and were initially told that the people in our reserved room from the night prior weren't checking out until 4pm and we would have to wait for them to leave. There were no other King suites available for us. They switched us into a queen suite that still needed to be cleaned. That room wasn't ready until near 5 o clock, 2 hours after standard check in and 3 hours after we arrived. In the meantime, we were put in a temporary room so we could get ready for the wedding. At check out, the manager discounted our stay by 25%, which was appreciated and a proper gesture considering the run around we had. I really just have a hard time understanding what they were thinking allowing a guest to stay in a room well beyond check in time knowing full well that the room was reserved.

One of the first hotels that I have stayed at in 18 years of my profession that did not feel like a "Conference Hotel". It is elegant. The staff is courteous and extremely efficient and professional. The handsome guest room was spacious, very clean and had enough closet space. The room service is 24/7 and the menu is expansive. The food was excellent.

This is my favorite hotel in the DC area. I travel globally and this hotel has it all. Great staff; always friendly, professional and helpful. Wonderful rooms; all a bit different and no ‘cookie cutter’ approach. Luxurious linens and towels. Superb food in the restaurant with good service. The Morsels Bar & Lounge is comfy and has excellent service and bartenders. The staff is, for the most part, long-timers who often remember who you are; and the entire staff is wonderfully trained to provide friendly, professional, superb service. Great location near the Metro and in a very nice walking neighborhood; near the National Zoo, too! My only regret is that I don’t travel to Washington, DC more often so I could enjoy the Omni Shoreham more often. This is a great place to stay in DC.

I truly enjoyed my Omni Shoreham Hotel experience. It is a classic hotel in the D. C. Area. I am glad they kept the cool old school vibe alive there including Marble floors, Sinatra music, beautiful lobby and outstanding service. I think the location is Great as my son attends a University nearby. The Staff was extremely courteous. It was a convenient location to the areas we wanted to visit. I enjoyed the pool as the temp got to 95 degrees on May 13th! The fitness facility had everything and more that I needed. The location was perfect for my family. I will stay there again.

Worst hotel I've ever had the experience of dealing with. I booked rooms here for my company for a convention. Two of the rooms I booked had the same confirmation number, even though I received two separate emails with different names, so when one of the guests showed up they couldn't find their reservation and he had to book on the spot. Another guest they could not locate their reservation at all, probably because their legal name is a bit different from the name they go by (similar to the difference between going by Matt, but having the full name Matthew) so they had to book them on the spot as well, but then they charged me one night for a no show. I have had to deal with them for the past week to get receipts for all the staff I booked, because none were emailed after the stay ended. Yes, it has taken them a week of calls to get the receipts emailed to me. Every time I call the staff sounds like they don't want to be there, couldn't care less about their job, and are half asleep. There is no friendliness, no effort at customer service. I would not recommend this hotel, or any of their properties to anyone. My warning to anyone considering, avoid the hassle by booking somewhere else.

Beautiful pool and grounds. Very near excellent cafes and Woodley metro stop. Short walk to the zoo. Valet parking $52 but text for near immediate pickup. Restaurant on site but we opted for casual cafe. Very kid friendly with gift bag and nightly milk and cookie. Fridge and coffee in room. As for the 4 star rating, the 2 pillows (only 2?! ) on my king bed were flatter than pancakes. And did I mention the $52 Valet fee…

Customer service is great. Love the staff and the lobby is beautiful. However… The room seemed clean, but it was awfully dusty. Not sure if the culprit was the carpet or the sheets. Perhaps it was both. Clean bathroom and good quality of tissue papers and toilet papers. The room is a bit outdated though.

Beautiful hotel, loves the traditional decorations — hey we're very well done. The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms we're very nice. Location was great — right next to the train and we could get everywhere really easily. The grounds are also beautiful — great time to visit!

The three of us stayed for three days, sharing a room. It was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and well worth it. The hotel is beautifully landscaped. We checked out really early the day we were leaving, but getting to the airport realized that our flight didn't leave until the afternoon and we had several hours to wait. Rather than hanging out at the airport we called the hotel and they let us return, allowed us a late check out and we could get back into our room so we could wait comfortably and catch up on some needed rest. A big thumbs up! We'd been traveling for 10 days and really had the best experience in this hotel out of all of them!

The hotel is beautiful. The room was nice. The staff were incredible. The breakfast at the restaurant was delicious. They have a few local DC brews at the lounge that are great and great bar treats. We checked out of the hotel early in the morning to drop my brother at the airport and continue our trip southward and found out his flight was in the afternoon. They allowed him to go back into the room until the afternoon. They were REALLY cool!

A historic landmark in DC with an outdoor pool and hot tub and plenty of meeting rooms! Great for businesses, family travel and Sunday brunch (we've been here for Easter for the past two years now and couldn't be happier with our experience). Vegetarian options are available (sometimes upon request for buffets; and there is also a quick bite snack shop and coffee as well! ). Don't forget to read the historic information before walking in. If you stay here, be sure to check out all the cool architecture, art and rooms!

The hotel itself may rate as a four star property, but my room certainly was not 4-star. The history of the Omni Shoreham Hotel is noteworthy, however, I did not like the fact that the carpet, wallpaper, curtains, and furnishes in my room seemed to be equally as old. Some may call the dull yellow decor charming. I found it to be the color of mucus since my allergies acted up every time I walked into the room. I would awake in the morning with puffy eyes and sinus congestion. Overall not the worst experience but far from the best either.

My daughter has a gluten allergy. Omni Shoreham had a gluten-free station in their breakfast buffet with wonderful options, including a gluten-free toaster. Our server at dinner service made available gluten free toast when he brought a basket of bread to the table. Staff here accommodated the needs of my child throughout our stay.

Excellent accommodations. Very big place, able to hold large meetings with several different meeting rooms. Has a pretty good fitness center. High end shops within the hotel. Restaurant options are plentiful within walking distance.

The hotel is beautiful, food is great, staff is courteous and responsive, and the conference rooms worked well for our event. I would highly recommend this hotel. I stayed in this hotel for a conference and had no prior knowledge of the hotel or it’s history. The first night I was lying in bed trying to fall asleep and heard tapping/banging noises from the bathroom. I assumed it was from outside or upstairs. When I went into the bathroom a few minutes later the toilet paper had unraveled onto the floor. I called my husband and explained what happened. We wrote it off as a breeze from the old drafty windows or maybe the roll was unbalanced. The second night as I was laying in bed I heard what sounded like someone walking around in my room. Not footsteps, but more like fabric rubbing, which moved from one side of the room to the other. I also wrote this off to the curtains and the drafty old windows. The third night I woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, sat back on my bed, and while putting on some chapstick my bedside light turned on. This lamp has the turn nob that clicks to the different positions. I’m positive I turned it off when I went to sleep. I’m also positive I did not bump the plug as I was not touching it when the light turned on. The next morning I asked the woman in the coffee shop if the hotel has any history of being haunted and she tilted her head to the side and said, “Why? What happened? ” She didn’t say no.

I love this hotel for it's deco elegance. It is like a circular maze, but you will not get lost. The food and service is superb wonderful; and, the ambiance is warm cozy and classie. A wonderful place for a special event. You will never feel alone, lost or uncomfortable here. It is a hotel that is not too small, not too big, but just right. It is handicap accessible and had special lifts on each level for those needing service and the restrooms are also handicap ready! A real plus, the front doormen are exceptionally, helpful, friendly and open the door for you as if it is your home. It has not changed since the 1960s.

Perfect! We came in late, 2am, and were greeted with warmth hospitality. The smell of fresh flowers and Sinatra's music surrounded us! The room was darling. Only thing that I would improve are the elevators. They are small and didn't hold very many people for a completely booked hotel.

Conveniently located off the Red Line, near a nice pocket of restaurants and the zoo. Rooms kept very clean, and quite spacious. Concierge went out of their way to coordinate and deliver a special surprise for me from my wife for Valentine's day. I didn't make use of the hotel restaurant or bar. The coffee shop was very nice for a quick bite early in the morning. Conference facilities were great, and the lunches provided were delightful. Good Wi-Fi coverage throughout. Wish the outdoor pool had been in season during my visit…

It's very nice. High end for sure. It's a bit of a maze to find your way around. The conference was well served and the space is polished. There are hints of the hotels vintage history showing in spots, while others seem ultra modern.

Decent place for the price. The room was fine, but everything about the hotel seems dated and not necessarily in a nostalgic way either. I stayed here for two nights and enjoyed its location to food and other places I needed to be during my stay. There is a metro station nearby as well.

Very beautiful elegant hotel. Spacious rooms, nice coffee shop and convenience store. Enjoyable and Delicious Restaurant on sight. Decorated spectacularly for Christmas. Stayed in a room on the second floor and it was extremely quiet. Room service was excellent and this hotel is just a couple blocks to the Adams Morgan metro stop. Would stay again and highly recommend.

The Omni-Shoreham is a beautiful hotel located conveniently just outside of the heart of DC. I've been a part of organizing and running one of the many events that occur here throughout the year and I can honestly say that their staff is one of the most accommodating I've found. They're all very polite, patient and kind, which is wonderful. The event spaces are large, well-organized, easy to find and can accommodate everything from a formal dinner to a community forum. My only issue with this place is the parking. The hotel offers a valet service, but it's not complimentary and finding legal parking anywhere else is next to impossible. Wish they had a better system for this. Other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel for events and parties.

Lovely lobby, and convenient location. Other than that, not what I expect when I stay at an Omni. There's a beautiful historic building… and then an annex behind it that looks like a 70s motel. If that's where you're staying, don't expect to get a heads up ahead of time. I was told at check in that while I wasn't in the main building, my room had balcony access. Neat! Except the lock to the balcony was broken. Called front desk the first day, maintenance did not come. Tried again the second day, and a perfectly pleasant man from hospitality came to look, and then told me that maybe my balcony lock had been disabled for safety. (Despite the fact that there was a sign on the door explaining how to access the balcony. ) He promised to send maintenance and get back with me within an hour. Never heard back. Tried reaching front desk for other reasons and couldn't get through. Had what sounded like a 48 hour teenage slumber party on the other side of the motel-thin wall from me, which made being here on business challenging. Maybe service is better and rooms are better maintained in the main building. I'll stay elsewhere next time.

Great location! Everything within walking distance. Everyone was so friendly and helpful! The receptionist took 15 mins to explain where everything was. The rooms are older and need to be updated. The breakfast they served for $25 a person was nothing but cold muffins, fruit, and couple pieces of meat.

The hotel is near the zoo. We went to the zoo. There were monkeys there. One of the tamarinds started humping another one. My son asked what they were doing. I said they were making friends. He said are they having sex, and somebody laughed. We walked back to the hotel. When we came in there was a woman in a skimpy dress with sky blue heels. She wasn't as pretty as she thought. Her date was wearing maroon bell bottom corduroy pants. He was not attractive. The elevators take a long time. But not too long. There was a woman who tried to come in before we could get out. She was old. She looked like she had plastic surgery. Her face was stretched as tightly as a snare drum. Our room had a balcony. I stood on it a moment, then went back in.

Elegant, genteel, refurbished historic old hotel, a Washington landmark for almost a century. Exquisitely beautiful grounds. Lovely swimming pool. An unforgettable experience. Pricey but costs can be somewhat offset for tourists because of easy access to public transportation, but well located in its own right close to the Zoo and good restaurants. For those of us who grew up in Washington, the Shoreham brings back many memories of special occasions at the restaurant and proms.

Old splendor, but well cared for. Very friendly and attentive staff. Lots of restaurants walking distance. And the metro station can be reached in 5 minutes.

Wasn't sure should it be 1* or 2* review, but when I saw that this "hotel" has 4.1* average rating… There is no way it's 4*! *They might have mice in your room! * Rooms are pretty big, that's true. But they are old, there are lots of cracks on the walls, not enough power outlet — my roommate was charging his phone in the bathroom! They charge you ridiculous 9.95$ fee for internet even if you've only tried to connect and never used it! (At least they have cancelled this fee for me) Asked for a shaving cream and a toothpaste — it took them more than one hour to give it to me and I had to remind them. Also the guy who brought it was rude! Cleaning was done great, no complains here. Lack of light in the room — there were only a few lamps, no central light (there was a switch for it though…) And I did see the mouse in the room! The MOUSE! I wasn't sure so thought I must have been wrong. But on the next day I definitely saw it in the room! Maybe there was something else, can't remember now.

I have sent 2 emails through the comment line. I have not had a response. However, considering the state of our room in Washington DC, I am, unfortunately, less than surprised.
We stayed at your hotel in Washington DC, The Shoreham, the weekend of August 18th through the 21st.
When we got to the room we were happy with the way the room looked upon first glance with the exception of a general uncleanliness of the bathroom. But that happens, and we weren't even that upset about it. Also, the pillows were not synthetic, as we had requested upon making our reservation, which was not a big deal. But, when our new pillows were brought we discovered fresh blood on one of them. When we called for a replacement we were brought 5 pillows, which was overkill, but the situation was corrected, so we were ok with it. However, later that night when the lights were turned on we discovered vomit on the bed-skirt and dried on the floor next to the bed and splattered on the nightstand. Also, the air conditioner had proceeded to soak the entire carpet and the bottom of our bags. When we called housekeeping they apologized and told us it would be taken care of by the time we came back to the room. When we returned the bed-skirt had been changed but the floor still had the dried vomit as did the nightstand and the floor was still soaked as the air conditioner continued to leak. This was disgusting and unsanitary, not to mention a hazardous issue with the bodily fluids.

Pretty luxurious hotel. But despite the relatively high initial price it is still necessary to pay 10USD for the Wi-Fi in the room. Free Wifi only in the lobby of the hotel. Parking of the hotel is paid with only valet service. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the hotel is located near the metro and street with quite a few restaurants.

We were visiting the zoo and this was nearby. Obviously a classier hotel than we needed, pretty lobby, helpful if pretentious staff. Room was expensive, very basic, and small. Bathroom had no fan, whole room had a stale odor. Would have been great to know there was a pool, staff didn't let us know that so I can't comment on it. Was rather displeased to find out about the required $50 per day valet parking fee that was previously unmentioned. The next night was in a very nice chain hotel in Maryland, much nicer and friendlier for half the price and my trucks parked right outside.

The hotel was nice and in a great location to move around elsewhere in Washington. The banquet and conference facilities we used were quite nice, and easily handled our large group. The room we had was plenty large and comfortable. All staff interactions were great. The hotel does seem to be getting a bit long-in-the-tooth though, and is probably due for a massive renovation. The lobby and conference areas were fine, but the rooms, while clean and by no means "dirty" or musty, had creaky movement in the floorboards under the carpet, and doors that were out of alignment and required a little extra force to close.

My family stayed in a spacious one bedroom suite. The resort is posh but not pretentious, and very family friendly. We received wonderful service from everyone at the front desk, especially Omar. We enjoyed the pool and the buffet breakfast. We also found that although the only option to park was valet, the service was very convenient and efficient. Omni Shoreham is our new go-to hotel in DC and we will certainly be visiting there again soon for another weekend getaway.

This hotel is very outdated. My husband and I were in one of the joint rooms. The room was small. I could hear the conversation happening in the next room like I was there! Don't get the idea that guests in the next room were loud! We requested to move to another room but they were not able to accommodate for the first night. We didn't sleep well. Next day we moved to another room which was very spacious. We didn't have any problem with the noise at nights. I was almost locked out in the balcony because the door lock was malfunctioning. There was no warning sign of any kind regarding lock issues. The bath tub was so outdated that you can see the old stains which I never expected to see in a hotel room. This place is over priced because of the location! Staffs were okay and location was great. If you have other options, book there not here. This place is not worthy for $200+ per night.

The main reason I'm giving the hotel 3-stars is because of it's excellent location to the Metro station and eateries. There's a reason this hotel is not listed as one of the top places to stay in DC. I can appreciate older rooms, with their historic charm, but these rooms desperately need a complete overhaul — rip the carpets up, replace the curtains (one of mine was ripped), and replace the bedding with sheets that do not come undone each time you move. The food in the main restaurant was mediocre, and I received the same level of service. However, I had a completely different experience with in-room dining. The food was much better and the waitstaff was excellent. I do not think I would recommend this hotel to others. There are too many wonderful options in DC to choose a hotel like this that falls below status quo.

Good location, within walking distance of many good restaurants. The rooms where old, which I consider a good thing. There was a certain element of elegance and class that you don't find in hotels these days. Not to mention the rooms where actually sizable, whereas most hotels try to cram as many rooms as they can into as small a space as possible. And, finally, the building didn't look like a big red brick box.

What a great hotel. Great rooms and wonderful meeting space. And great service. Highly recommend.

While not being very close to the main sights (aside from the National Zoo and Adam's Morgan), you do have extremely easy access to the Metro (the red line is a block away) which will take you everywhere you'll want to go (with the combined use of the Metro buses). (Plus, the Metro is reasonably priced. ) The hotel itself is grand and beautiful, and has A LOT of history. Admittedly, it is showing its age, but that's quickly overlooked. The room was comfortable, and large! The shower had great pressure and never ran out of hot water (although I missed my detachable showerhead). The service was top-notch. The gardens out back are a great place to unwind after a big day of sightseeing. Overall, the Omni Shoreham is a great choice!

This is a great hotel for events and overnight staying. I was here for a professional conference and competition and the hotel staff was very helpful in the process. The property is beautiful and has a lot of history. The rooms are clean, large, and simple, but comfortable. I had a good night's sleep and I was happy to have been able to have this opportunity to come to this hotel.

Easy stay, staff are incredibly friendly. Rooms and such are pretty normal, nothing too fancy but comfortable, enjoyable, and easy.

The service was phenomenal, but for the prwcio, I expected more. There was mildew in the bathroom and Wi-Fi was not free, nor breakfast. For so much money, they do not offer many services to justify the expense.

I was at this hotel to volunteer for an event. My interaction with the hotel staff was limited, however the facilities were very impressive. Clean, expansive, the hotel is impressive to see. We were fed by the hotel caterer/chef, and the food was delicious and well presented. I can not speak to the experience as a guest, since I did not spend the night, but the hotel makes an outstanding first impression.

We spent Valentine's weekend at the hotel. Everyone was very nice. We asked to be moved to a different room with a view (originally had room in first floor) and staff accommodated us without any issues (moved to 8th floor with a balcony). We will definitely stay again. Room was spacious (king size bed w/ balcony).

The Omni Shoreham was a stunning hotel for a conference with facilities that comfortably fit out group of almost 2000 people. The staff was courteous and knowledgable. The decor was classic and elegant with a hint of modern luxury. I would happily attend another event there.

Very nice hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful. DELICIOUS breakfast! Ordered in room dining twice. Ordered dinner, and they arrived quicker than expected, which was great because I was starving. Placed an order for breakfast, and they showed up at the beginning of my specified time bracket (very appreciated). Last morning had their buffet breakfast, which was my favorite by far; great selection and delicious fresh food. I saw many other guests, but the hotel didn't seem too full, although I did stay on a Sunday and Monday night. My guest room (standard room) was spacious and open. One of two small complaints is that aesthetically, the hotel doesn't feel very modern. Perhaps it's just not my taste, but to me, seemed a little dated in the decor/color scheme. They other: they had several places with (seemingly) stairs only. I'm sure they have a ramp somewhere, but I didn't see it. I had to carry my bags down about 8 steps immediately upon entering the main entrance of the hotel. I'm not upset (I don't mind carrying my bags) but for older guests or those with some mobility concerns, that may have been rather intimidating, even though there are staff around to help as needed.

I cannot speak to the rooms, but I have attended many events here at the Omni. As far as an event space, I give it a four star rating for these reasons: 1) It's in a great part of DC just off of Rock Creek Park making it easier for almost anyone in the District to drive or take the Metro to Woodley Park. 2) It has a historic feel to it with a beautiful lobby. 3) There's a nice bar inside. 4) The rooms are large so you can have any size event here. Enjoy!

The hotel has beautiful architecture and very nice rooms. The service and food is great. The best part is It's one of the most inexpensive hotels I've stayed at. The quality of my stay for the price is amazing!

This is an awesome Omni property. I've spent most of my time staying at the Omni Providence in RI where I managed to earn my Black status (highest tier) in their loyalty program which is really the top for me bar none. There are no points to earn or any hoops to jump through plus there are plenty of very exclusive features which I personally love. Every morning once you reach Platinum status you can get a beverage of your choice (coffee, juice, soda, tea) delivered to your room at no extra charge. If you need your shoes shined or clothes pressed those options are also available. Free Wi-Fi also comes with the loyalty program and works great. The best part is that you can earn "local experiences" which are arranged tours and tickets to various local events museums and more. This is something I decided to take advantage of at the Omni Shoreham. I booked one night at the Omni Shoreham to coincide with my Wife's birthday. It was a discounted room and I booked two local experiences one was a twilight bus tour of Washington DC and one was for VIP tickets to the Newseum. Tia from the hotel contacted me to confirm the local experiences both through email and via phone. I informed her that it was my Wife's birthday and were all set. I couldn't have asked for a more awesome experience.

Yeah, it's an old historic hotel. So it does come with some quirks but the most important is that my room was clean and the staff were helpful.

A historic hotel but it is getting fairly run down. The rooms are adequate but certainly dilapidated. Mine had water stains on the ceiling and lots of cracking paint, along with peeling wallpaper. As I was in town for a conference and would not be spending a lot of time in my room, these things were easy to overlook. What was inexcusable was the consistently rude and inhospitable staff. From the moment of check in, service was a nightmare. Doormen actually sat and watch while I had to open doors (not automatic by the way) and struggled with suitcases and garment bags. You would think folks in a service business were interested in helping and the resulting tips. Not here! Then it was down a flight of stairs to the most ambivalent and rude front desk individual I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. Finally, as I am packing to leave, the hotel cannot process our corporate card as they can no longer find the authorization form. Information that would have been nice to have on day one, not day three of my stay. Now, I am being held hostage until this can be rectified with my accounting department. Very unprofessional! I will say the location is excellent but if another hotel is available in the area, I suggest you take it and avoid the Omni Shoreham. Average accommodations and some of the worst staff I have ever encountered from the front line staff to the management.

This is a spectacular hotel! The rooms are sumptuous and spaceous. The metro line (red) is within walking distance. There are restaurants and corner stores nearby. If you're a runner, the running trail is just next to the hotel — 3 miles to get to Lincoln Monument.

Nice and refined Hotel; Not practical however for a city visit. Basically we were forced to use the taxi every time to get to the center. The service is quite questionable: a sheet was laundry, while the stock of products in the room is not always assured.

Good hotel, comfortable and well equipped, excellent location close to metro and food.

Expensive but good. A call to New York $10.

While large rooms, hotel had an absolutely bad bad. In the bathroom, everything was calcified and dirty — I wanted to not even take a shower.

The hotel was in October 2006, the rooms cool.
