Absolutely beautiful resort with alot of great food options and venues around. Friendly staff and a welcoming environment.

I wanted to love this place so much, it really is beautiful, but unfortunately my accommodations when I stayed were not great. Our TV didn't work and they said they would send someone but never did, we asked for house keeping and they never came. The staff was very friendly though.

My family stayed over spring break this year. The overall experience was great. Our kids loved the pools and roasting s’mores at night. I would recommend this resort and would go back, but I had one major disappointment…someone on staff stole my necklace. My son knotted the chain and my husband fixed it and left it hanging on a lamp. We left the hotel and forgot it on the lamp. After we checked out we realized it was left on the lamp in the room and called the hotel. After calling back several times, no one could locate the necklace. It’s frustrating because we know it was there when we left. I am sad how dishonest people can be and I feel like there wasn’t enough effort to find it or get back with us.

It is an awesome place! We are a family of, from a 2 year old to an 82 years old, and have been enjoying this beautiful place! We’ll be back! 😍

Omg. Electricity out for 6 hours. Threw away Tom’s contact case. No replacement of coffee supplies. Threw away multiple leftovers that were nowhere near the trash. No clean towels. No where to hang wet towels at a water resort.

We booked the 2022 NYE package and it was one of the worst NYE parties I have attended. Previous years have been held in the ballroom complete with dance floor and fireworks. Not this year. We were all crammed into the Back Table sports bar where we paid $90 per meal to dine next to foosball tables and huge tvs. The meal options didn't match what was listed online and the only entertainment was a live band located in the corner that we were all supposed to enjoy from 10p-12a from our same dinner seats we had been in since 7p. Normally I would highly recommend this party but this year was a bust.

Great resort with pool, lazy river and slides. Ridiculously priced valet so maybe skip that.

We evacuated from Louisiana for Ida hurricane. The staff was amazing. They accommodated all of us and our pets. We can’t say enough about the resort and the staff. We will be back.

Great services and a only a short drive from Houston.

As soon as I walked into the hotel I noticed the aroma. It was a very pleasant and nice smell to the resort. It is very family friendly place and my kids really enjoyed it.

Had a great stay here with some girl friends last weekend! Rooms and amenities were very clean, staff was incredible and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great! Definitely coming back in a few months!

This place is amazing! Our Great Dane puppy had surgery so we decided to stay a extra night, and they made us feel so welcomed. My son and our puppy love the resort so much. As you can tell all smiles. Even though it was cold the pool felt amazing nice and toasty.

My family booked 3 rooms the weekend of labor day. Our experience was simply not worth a penny. We have sent complaint emails, calls with ZERO response from anyone. The Wi-Fi is very poor, I could not work in our hotel room. Not a single staff member said a word to us other than valet men. I have a special needs baby who wet the bed, what a complete inconvenience for the entire staff. No one came after I called two times to the front desk, finally I walked to front desk and was not greeted with a friendly face. Sure due to COVID no one wanted to entire our room, they simply put the new sheets on the ground at the door in the hall way. Our trash was never emptied and we stayed 4 days, no one came to check in to see if we need new soap or refills of anything. NOTHING, now let's talk about how their internet prices are a complete lie, we were over charged $75 per day, when customer service was called let's just say that was completely useless. Besides everything closing the day after labor day, bars, pool slide, pool food there still were tons of children present and they refused to open slides at a minimum. We certainly were taken aback by the lack of contact, communication and general personal experience at this supposed grand place. We wont be back for sure.

I just checked in today and was told there is no room service. That is no where on the website. There is very little food to choose from. It took 30 minutes to get a drink at the pool. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our stay here this past weekend. I am extremely disappointed that many of the staff members I had to interact with did not have on a mask. When I asked one of the staff members that came into my room about not wearing a mask he rudely replied stating he has been too busy running around and forgot to wear one. Another rude staff member entered my room to vacuum and did not greet nor have on a mask. I’m not sure how serious you guys are about customer service and following CDC guidelines during a pandemic. I won’t be returning.

This place is fun, I recommend it to anyone trying to have a relaxing weekend in the Houston area.

Really great experience at this clean and thoughtfully appointed family respite. Even during a pandemic where most of their activities and amenities were shut down, my kids still had a blast on the lazy river and my baby entertained herself for hours playing in the splash pad and sprayground. Service was excellent all the employees were so helpful and kind. It’s a total retreat for the whole family with beautiful views and fun features like ponds and fountains. Our new destination vacation!

We love the woodlands resort! We go a couple times each year. The pool is great the restaurant has really good food and they have awesome events! Highly recommend.

Omg this place is marvelous! All staff very polite and helpful, food was amazing… pool clean and rooms very comfortable ❤️. We are staying in the Aviator floor, which has free breakfast, social hour5-7. With free horse d’oeuvres 24/7. And dessert at 8 pm daily! Very quiet floor (5th floor in the 300 building) ❤️ first time here with family… but definitely not the last ❤️

Just back from a wonderful few days here. Would highly recommend and we will be back for sure. Both my girls had a blast which is not always easy as they are so different personality wise (one very out going and one very shy) but the kids activities were fantastic!

Everyone, from the employees to other guests were incredibly nice and friendly! Beautiful grounds, I loved all of the water features throughout the property and how nicely kept everything was. Super clean! The breakfast Buffett was delicious and a great way to start our day! We are looking forward to going back!

We had an amazing visit this weekend. The lazy river was wonderful. Cool Water Cafe never disappoints and our room was perfect. I was sad to hear the frozen grapes are gone! Already planning our next visit!

Great hotel and pool, staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The food at the restaurant above the pro shop was terrible, I would not recommend eating there. I wish I would of not eaten there. The staff was friendly at restaurant but stay away from the food. Overall I look forward to returning but I will dine outside of the hotel restaurant.

It's my 2nd time here in Woodlands resort and still I want to keep on coming back coz l love the place so serene and the hotels are cllean and beautifully designed. They serve delicious food. We enjoyed swimming in the pools, their lazy river, oh especially the kids … More power to Woodlands Resort and thank you for the nice time l have with you Godbless us all.

Great place for a family birthday. A bit pricey, but a very nice facility. Friendly staff. The kiddos (for under 5) had smiles all weekend long. The pools are fantastic. Food was good and rooms were well appointed and clean.

Excellent hidden gem… well worth it. Kids loved it so did I. Staff are very very helpful, however beware that some horseshoe ticket sales office close 30 min before they should, while rest of park is operational? Female staff claimed it policy…? Please avoid that situation.

We stayed here this past weekend. Room 3522 to be exact. This resort exceeds the expectations and sets the bar for other resorts. When you first arrive, I was impressed with guest service and there approach to customer service. The staff is extremely professional and very kind. I had requested the romance package for my wife. They had fresh flowers, rose petals on the floor, and rose petals on the floor. They also had chocolate covered strawberries that my wife enjoyed. The resort is very clean and people are consistently cleaning. The old saying, "If you have time to lean, you have time to clean" is covered here. Rolen was amazing and always had a gentle smile and was eager to help. Every staff member was AWESOME. I will be sending a letter to the general manager this week. Good job to the staff!

This place is amazing! Feels like your on a cruise with the atmosphere! Enough pools to not be crowded. The lazy river is so enjoyable. Food prices are not ridiculous, and quality and quantity definitely are first and foremost. The staff is attentive and timely. You want to get away, but still close to home, this is it.

My husband and I enjoy the breakfast buffet. Every family member’s birthday we always go and celebrate. Betty is the best server and she prepares a piece of cake for birthday person. Today, my husband and I celebrated 39 years of marriage and Betty served us and Julie prepared a beautiful dessert! We were sung to, also

This place is wonderful! I just checked in and was famished, the vending machine ate my money and it’s super late and I have to work in the morning. I called down to tell them about the vending machine and they offered to transfer me to in room dining. I said I didn’t want to wait it’s late so never mind just return my money. 5 minutes later there was the kindest man at the door with a plate of crackers and cheese! I wanted to hug him I was so thankful! I will never stay at a different location when I come to town again! It’s good to be in a place that will take care of a weary traveler… Beds are comfy too! I haven’t had a chance to check out the property yet, but it all looks well appointed.

I’m here right now. It’s been pretty good. When we first got here our room had some trash under the bed. It had a weird odor. There was a bug in the shower and we couldn’t find the remote. We called the front desk. We had to call several times before they answered but once I got a hold of them they immediately fixed us up with a new room. This room is nice and comfy. A little noisy but nice proximity to the pool. I would suggest bringing some water shoes. The floor of the lazy river and the other pools are a bit rough and my feet are pretty cut up. Will most likely stay here again. We have 2 days left of this trip.

The Woodlands Resort staff were beyond amazing, from the valets handling insane check in and check out crowds with grace, to the lovely front desk staff that checked us in and wished my daughter happy birthday. The grounds are beautiful, and scenic — even watching the rain was lovely. I left my phone in the hotel room unfortunately and did not get any shots of the Waterpark, but it too was a really great time. Wonderful menu options and we did attend for my daughter's birthday weekend, and they surprised her with a wonderful treat and card, which she has hanging in her room! We will definitely return, ideally for a longer stay!

Great place for a mini vacation with the kids or a quiet couple's getaway. It has everything from kayaking to a lazy river and a spa so plan for at least a 2 day stay to fit in everything. My kids had a blast and we're heading back for a redo. The food's a bit on the expensive side but you're close to many off site options. Checking in & out we a breeze. The concierge was pleasant, quick and very accommodating. The resort is absolutely gorgeous and tucked away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough to go to The Woodlands Mall or catch a nearby movie. Very upscale with the softest, most comfortable bed I've found. It rivals the Dream bed. I give it all 5 stars.

Check-in desk people were wonderful, good service pool side, room was clean and grounds were pretty but very spread out.
We had a group — 3 rooms for a girls weekend and they were kind enough to put us in same building on same floor!
The room next door to ours had a dog who barked several times after midnight and very early morning — this was frustrating. Originally hotel said they would extend our check out, but we told them that wasn’t what we were looking for. They said they would send security to talk to them. They did end up refunding our resort fee. Hotel wasn’t packed so those with animals should all be placed in same area of hotel — so they don’t bother other customers!
It’s was a good place for a girls weekend — drink prices were high (and the frozen stuff is WAY too sweet), but the did have a couple tasty drinks.
Are at Café and it was decent as was Robards (but was not overly impressed).

This is the perfect staycation for those living in the Greater Houston area! My little unorthodox family and I live in Cypress, Texas but we wanted an inexpensive getaway not too far from home. The staff is remarkably accommodating and very eager to please! Tons of family friendly activities for all ages.

The staff is really accommodating and the Bartender at The Bistro is very attentive and nice. Pools can get a little crowded, but not overly so. They have a pretty nice looking golf course, unfortunately I don't golf but I've heard it's a great course.

Beautiful grounds. Rooms are updated and clean. Helpful staff. Controlled access entry to each tower. Very relaxing atmosphere, good food and drinks.

Check-in time was 4:00. After waiting 30 minutes in line to check in I was told my room wasn't ready as it was being cleaned. They instructed me to have a seat and wait for a text stating my room was ready. I had to wait almost 50 minutes for my room! I had an event to attend that started at 5:30. Unfortunately we finally got our room at 5:15 and I literally only had 15 minutes to get ready. This place seemed very unorganized. Other than that the place was beautiful! Our view from our room was gorgeous!

I went for a "spa day" The staff was extremely nice and my massage was good, but WOW this spa needs a face lift. Old facilities, outdated, some of the facilities weren't clean. Yuck. I was very much underwhelmed for my "mom's day out" : (

Amazing place to enjoy with the whole family or with your loved one. Service was excellent, nice amenities, bar in the pool area to drink your your spirit, good restaurants in the location. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway.

I used to always come here & I absolutely loved it until they changed management. I honestly think that monkeys could run the resort more efficiently… If you want to order anything at the Cool Water Café, be prepared to wait forever. The bartenders will glance at you & just continue to only help certain select people (whom have done no waiting at all). I counted at least 12 people just at the bar who waited over 1 1/2 hrs for food that never came. The manager behind the bar refused to acknowledge anyone who tried to get his attention. Then he started talking about us to the bartender when I asked for some sort of compensation for my food that never came. I could go on & on about their terrible service, but what it boils down to is that this new management has no idea how to run this place. I went there to have a good time, but instead I was repetitively pissed off. On another note, the resort itself is beautiful inside & outside. The rooms are very nice & the beds are comfortable. The check-in process has always been very pleasant & quick as well.

Stayed here and was very pleased. Room is large, the bed is comfortable, the pillows were nice and fluffy. The room was clean and nice. I appreciate that the refrigerator gets real cold unlike other hotels I've been to which really annoyed the hell out of me. I also appreciate that the hair dryer is capable of high heat setting (again unlike any other hotel I've been to which annoyed the hell out of me). Staff are very friendly especially the shuttle driver. Very very nice man. The place is zen; very lush green trees, well manicured lawns, beautiful ambiance, nice lake and golf grounds, there's wild birds, geese, herons, squirrels. Wished I had time to try out the water park. Food is great!

It was greatand everyone was very helpful but I got the date night package and I felt things should have been more coordinated. They gave us a room over looking the parking lot which I understand they need to fill room but come on I mentioned it was my anniversary I would expect to get at least a golf course view. Also, they didn't have our reservation at the restaurant. For the amount of money I paid I expected it to go off a little better like maybe having labels on the glasses for the Martini setup so a person knows what is in them. Other then that my wife and I had a great evening and day at the pool.

I attended the woodlands resort for a NYE event. The venue is lovely, very big and great staff who were very pleasant, helpful and friendly. The room wasn't anything to write home about and I was slightly unnerved to see one of the staff who use a golf car to transport guests driving wrecklessly having a joke with other staff members (no one else was on the car). Great party and would come back.

Room are large and looks new. However there were visible stains on the walls of the room that we stayed at. If you love golf, this is the place for you. Not sure about the food, the breakfast we had was average. The location, and the view at this hotel is beautiful. You can come to relax here. Service was great!

We came for an event and wasn't able to leave for lunch. We ordered from the Bistro and opted to take it to go so we can attend they event longer. Victor Ventura made us awesome recommendations, he was super friendly, and brought our food to us personally. We sat outside to get a quick bite in and he found us to give us plates and waters! His service of going the "extra mile" is what would keep me coming back! Also the food was delicious so that helped as well!

I spent a few days here for a work event. The rooms and views were very enjoyable but I am very impressed with the service and the food during the entire stay. We had a very large amount of people here for this event and it was seamless and seemed nobody was ever inconvenienced or unhappy. Highly recommend for a company event. I have not got to enjoy the family side of it yet but plan to come back for that soon.

My family and I spent a couple of days at the resort recently. I'll start with the pros: The facility is beautiful, lots of activities to keep the kids busy. My kids enjoyed the lazy river, face painting, arts and crafts, movies and smores every evening. Wish there was more for the teens to do. Breakfast is good, but overpriced. Cons: housekeeping. First of all, we got back to our room about 5:45 pm and our room had not been cleaned. Housekeeping showed up about 10 minutes later, forcing us to leave the room in the middle of the kids dinner. They finished eating in the lobby. There were 5 people in our party, they left only 3 towels. I had to call 3 times before they would bring us extra towels. First I called when we got back to the room and noticed that we didn't have enough towels, nobody came. Then several hours later, I called back when it was time to take a shower to go to bed. They again assured me that someone would be right up. I fell asleep about 45 minutes later waiting for them to show up. They never did. I finally had to speak to a supervisor in the morning, and thankfully she was able to expedite our request. After resort fees we paid almost $300 per night for the room. This was not a $300 a night experience. And I expected some kind of discount for this major inconvenience, but didn't get any. I've had a better hotel experience for half the price. We've been there several times, and I love the place.

Horrible experience. Grossly under staffed. Took two hours of waiting to get into the room I had reserved. And they were NOT BUSY! The bikes were not maintained and that wasted even more time as we had to air up all the tires and then the seat was falling off of one of them so they had to find another one. (I had reserved these while the room fiasco was going on you would THINK they would have them aired up and ready to go but this was the condition they were in waiting for us). Then the evening meal time was a joke. After the bike ride which was much later than we wanted because of the room fiasco and no bike maintenance, it was now 7:30 and guess what… not a single restaurant on site including room service would serve us food! Funny now but not when you have a hungry 8 year old. So luckily we made it over to the “pool bar” and had a lousy hot dog for my husbands birthday at the bar. I guess food is food but this is ridiculous! That was the ONLY food available. Then the next day I just wanted an extra hour for late check out as I had a spa appointment at 10am and the lady says sorry we can’t honor late check outs as we are preparing for guests! Ha! I explained the situation and how we didn’t even get in our room until after 6pm because they kept messing up. The she says… did you arrive late yesterday? Omg I almost hit the deck. I “arrived”at 3pm and this whole mess was NOT my fault.

Rooms were clean. Service was ok. Seems like more of a conference hotel than a family resort — nothing to do there with the kids esp during the off-season. When we called they said pool open but the slides and lazy river were closed and nothing else poolside was open when we were there/place was pretty empty. I don't usually post reviews but did because felt a little misled by all the 5 star reviews esp for the price. I assume these are conference goers? Maybe it was because we were there off season and were expecting something like Lost Pines or the Hill Country Hyatt for the price and resort title? No overwhelming complaints but won't necessarily be returning.

One thing that I have learned from traveling for so many years is that you learn to appreciate the small details that makes your experience great. After reading the wonderful reviews about the Woodlands Resort I decided to bring my family for the weekend. I called and asked could we have an early check-in and was immediately welcomed by a warm voice who not only welcomed me to check-in early but personally selected my room with a beautiful Golf View. She reminded me at the end of the call her name was Rae and assured me that if I needed anything they would be happy to assist me. After arriving to the front desk to check in Rae came from the back office and immediately greeted me by name. Her beautiful smile matched her kind voice as she came out to welcome me personally. Once I arrived to my spectacular room with a beautiful Golf View I saw a cookie cake that was personalized welcoming my family with a welcome card from none other Rae. I was so impressed by her commitment to making her guest feel special. In addition to the nice room and awesome amenities that are included at this resort the customer care is well above what you could ever imagine. I enjoyed my stay so much that we will be back for an extended stay this summer. Thank you so much Rae for being a Ray of Sunshine. You are definitely in the right business.

I was here for a meeting and it was a beautiful setting. The room was very comfortable and the bed was luxurious. The food at the restaurants was excellent. A memorable stay.

We were there for a long weekend. Well worth the price. Get the breakfast included. Great variety and it all, that I tried, tastes great. Something for everyone. Service is good and all are friendly and helpful. Probably will go back in the warmer weather to use the pools and lazy river.

Beautiful space with 5 star service and finishings. Our stay here was wonderful in the off season and was centrally located for what we needed to do. Make sure to take a walk around and check out the pool. The sheets were the super soft and cozy. I won't take off a star but I was only quite disappointed and surprised when I found out there was a resort fee in the woodlands.

I've stayed here a few times now and every time has been better than the last. I stayed here for a company confab and everything was perfect as usual. The food, the room and services was impeccable as always. The whole place is beautiful. It sits back in the woods of The Woodlands and three scenery is very serene. There are lakes throughout the landscape and of course the green was just gorgeous. There was a lot of walking but I didn't mind because the grounds are so clean and beautiful. The weather was typical of Houston, rainy and hot but it didn't put a damper on our stay. We have a successful confab, it went off without a hitch and we will be planning to stay here in the future.

Recent guest for a conference my company held. Stayed 2 nights and 3 days. Having worked in the service and hospitality industry for 16 years, I was amazed by this property and staff. The entire staff was aggressively friendly, and always willing to help. The property itself was immaculate. Things pop out to me after managing hotels for a decade much more than the average hotel guest, and I don't know that I've ever seen a cleaner or more pristine hotel in my life. In addition, the food was exceptional for the size group we had. The only con would have related to the golf courses. I have no clue why, but the sand traps were filled with gravel that was glued together, and there was no sand. The golf ball would absolutely rocket out of the trap when it landed, which was kind of entertaining. I think my clients were ok with it. Regardless, I would highly recommend this resort for any business conference or even personal travel to the area.

I have to say that I know this place for a long period of time and it done nothing, but got better with age. The best lodging and the food is bar-none. There used to be a place in the build they called the glass menagerie that served the best brunch.

One of the best places to stay in The Woodlands. The grounds are beautiful. A very peaceful place. The staff is great. Very helpful.

Beautiful settings for holding off site meetings and conferences. They have nice restaurants, which are open through out the day. Their lunch buffet is really excellent, and they provide endless supply of coffee and snacks.

Dirty balcony. We booked one of their best and expensive rooms. We could not sit out there. It looked liked it had not been cleaned in months. Why? that being said my experience was monotonous. Could get boring pretty easily. The best part was the breakfast buffet.

Wonderful ambience with lake view and pine trees. The food is good and place is neat. There is an extra charge to use some of the amenities though. Overall a good place to stay.

My family and I really enjoyed and appreciated our stay at the resort. We were forced to find a hotel to stay at when the flood waters prevented us from reaching our home in Houston. The resort had a few rooms left when we called and offered discounted rates to people who had been displaced by Hurricane Harvey. The room was excellent, with two queen beds and all the usual amenities you would expect at a resort hotel. The staff was very friendly, courteous, and prompt with requests. Unfortunately because of the storm we couldn't make use of the many facilities and activities normally offered, but based on the little bit I did experience, I assume they would be excellent as well. Overall we had a pleasant and restful stay and we are very grateful that they were able to take us in and accommodate us during this difficult situation in Houston.

Great place! My husband, two young kids and I all went. We all loved it! There are slides, a couple of big pools and a lazy river. They also had a smores area at night and then a dive in movie as well. The room was great. Pretty spacious and the beds were pretty comfortable as well. All the staff were was very kind. We had no problems and really enjoyed our time there.

Stay here a couple of times per year. Rooms and customer service are excellent. Breakfast and lunch buffets are great. Dinner… Plan on waiting an hour for either cold or undercooked entrée and bad service.

The woodlands resort is a beautiful property located in the woodlands not far from market street and the woodlands mall. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The revamp was much needed and turned out to be amazing. I can't wait to go back.

I had a lovely stay at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center. I stayed in the newer Hotel Room section. I thought the rooms were very nice and spacious. The properly was very clean and well kept. The pools were simply enchanting. The staff were very nice and extremely helpful. I only have one quip about the hotel, that was the price of the breakfast buffet, 35.00? Seriously, that was high. You weren't offered unlimited Mimosas or anything extra ordinary other than it was on property. I would go back, be sure you book the bed and breakfast package if you want to enjoy breakfast for 2 in the morning. For some reason breakfast comes out at the time of my booking an additional 8 dollars per person this way.

We had an amazing time with our family this past week. It was our last little getaway before school starts. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We can't wait to come back!

Awesome experience! We didn't really know what to expect because some places post great pictures and when you arrive is not what you thought it will be. Everything was above our expectations especially the customer service, everyone's friendly and they really take care of you. From the breakfast buffet, to the smores, the lazy river, the night movie in the pool and more we loved it and will sure go back for our next famy vacation.

I have been to The Woodlands Resort a couple of times and really enjoyed it. If you are going to be hanging out by the pool area, be sure to reserve a room with "walk out access" to pool area. I have done this the last two times and it makes it so much more convenient. My 9 year old daughter loves the summer time, weekend activities. If you want to give your child a little freedom, but keep them close enough to keep an eye on them, then this is a great place for vacation.

Our family stayed numerous times at La Torretta Lake Resort and Spa until my wife came across The Woodlands Resort. We are a fan of staycations because we do not always like to travel too far just to get away. The Woodlands Resort by far was the best way to just get away and relax. My family had a great time. The resort was beautiful as soon as your pull in. All the greenery and setup was just relaxing. The staff was very nice and helpful and the food service around the pool area was great! There were plenty of activities for the kids to enjoy all day and night. My daughter starts out shy but quickly got into the spirit with the singing and dancing. My family loved the lazy river and just lounging around the pool. Even though there were so many people there, there were plenty of lounge chairs. I'm usually worried that resorts will not have enough chairs but The Woodlands Resort were not shady on chairs. They have over a thousand chairs! (probably not all of them are in service) I know this because every chair is numbered and it's a great way for the servers to get your drinks and food to you. Now for dinner we went to Robard's which was excellent and priced fairly well! I've done the steak tours throughout Texas and I love a good steak and wine. I always order a filet and pair it with a nice red. Robard's did not disappoint at all. The service there was excellent! Tiffany was our waitress and she was more than helpful with everything.

The staff at the woodlands resort are the best around. They make your time there memorable. The facility is top notch and to me is the best get away I can imagine.

Wonderful vacation. This hotel resort was the cleanest and friendly as places we have ever stayed. It's definitely 5 stars plus I can't get over how nice all the staff was. I mean all the staff not just a couple but every person that works there was. The rooms were perfect. We got upgraded to a suite and it was just awesome. One of the negative reviews left on this place one of them mention bugs. We noticed no sign of bugs and only insect that I seen was a beautiful snail that was outside on the concrete. The person who left this negative review must have brung bugs with them I. This place was clean. We're looking forward to returning multiple times. The pools was huge and the food was great. The drinks where not very over priced at the pool as one would expect.

I'm a native Houstonian and have heard about the Woodlands Resort for years, but hadn't really ever thought about staying. Now that I know what an amazing pool they have, we definitely will be back! My teenage nieces and nephew were in town this summer and I was looking for something to keep them occupied. We had tickets to a concert at the Woodlands Pavilion so I thought we'd book a room at the Woodlands Resort so we wouldn't have to drive back late at night. When you first drive up to the property, you are greeted by acres of trees, walking paths and a huge swath of green golf course. It's a beautiful sight. We stayed in the 2 room suite in in the Waterscape Oasis. It had a small kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a living area. Plenty of room for all 6 of us. We were greeted with a personalized giant chocolate chip cookie and a chilled bottle of milk. It was a sweet touch and the kids loved it of course. Speaking of nice touches, we arrived a bit before check in and the room wasn’t ready so they gave us passes to enjoy the pool while we waited. Also, when we returned from the concert, they had turned down the beds for us. My niece's teddy bear had been tucked in for the night too. The pool area was gorgeous! A long lazy river, 3 story waterslides, hourly activities, shaded lounge chairs everywhere, the kids were in heaven. The boys especially loved the underwater treasure hunt, the water volleyball and the music piped in under water.

Wonderful place! Definitely will be returning.

Overall I enjoyed my experience at the Woodlands Resort. The Dining Room Breakfast Buffett offers a great amount of DELICIOUS food! The service was great! A lady name Betty and a gentleman name Edgar made my family and I feel comfortable. At first I didn't know the restaurant was opened to the public but now that I know I will definitely be coming back.

Fun Times! The service and stay was far and beyond my expectations. Staff was extremely nice and my family had a great time throught out my stay. We loved the resort style pool and fun activities for the kids. I would highly recommend staying at their resort.

I booked this getaway over two months in advance as a stay-cation for my granddaughters and myself. I was thoroughly disappointed. The weather did not help (rained all three days I was there). 1) I was advised I needed to valet park because the parking lot was so far away, which turned out to be a mistake, seeing that there was a shuttle to take you to and from the parking lot if needed. Found this out on my last night there. On top of that, each time I requested to have my car retrieved, there was a delay, probably due to the color being incorrectly noted on the ticket, the car was gray and noted on the ticket as blue. 2) My room was so far from the entrance the valet offered to help me with my overnight bags. My room was right in the midst of the construction site, which was my morning wake up call, very noisy and very irritating. You would think booking in advance I would have received a better location. We could not enjoy the patio because bulldozers were constantly passing by splashing mud on the chairs, doors and table. 3) As we were enjoying the pool, I ordered smoothies for the girls and a drink for myself, then I was given the bill to sign. No problem until I received my folio and noticed I was billed twice. 4) As we came back to the room expecting it to be cleaned at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. It wasn't. I contacted the cleaning staff and was advised someone would come to clean the room right away, only after I called.

I was humiliated with my family by one of the staff members, going back to my room after having had a wonderful breakfast, chatting with my husband about how wonderful the food and services were. We were stopped in front of the hotel by one of the female staff and she asked to see our room key, I guess we did not fit the profile of people that come to the woodlands to vacation. My husband walked away with my 5 year old boy ignoring her question, I stopped to ask one myself, been that I have stayed there since the previous day and have never been asked to provide any form of identification, never witness any other guest been asked for any identification. The lady was adamant, she wants to see the keys or I could provide my room number, I paused for a second and asked her to follow me to my room so she could see for herself where we stayed. We started walking to the hotel building, two double doors closed I am pushing my 11 month old baby in a stroller, she got on her radio and called the security, she demanded that security come to this location, I had to ask her for help with the door since she was so busy on her radio calling security. We got to the room, I knocked on the door and my husband opened the door, I said ok this is the room, she still was not satisfied, she said but I still need to see the keys. Now I am really angry with my voiced raised at this point she had the nerves to asked me to lower my voice.

I loved this hotel and the rooms are decored very nicely but I recomend get a room by the pool the one we got in the woods smelled like smoke but we changed. The pool area is sooooo nice but when I went to the bar to get a smoothie the drink was $7.50 I gave them a ten and they gave me no change which stunk. When I went to breakfeast it was so good and the waiters were so polite and were dressed properly so that was nice. Overall t was a great way to spend my st. Paties day weekend with my family.

Would not recommend even looking here for a wedding venue — very unprofessional. It took a little over four weeks of emailing back and forth with the catering administrative assistant to get the information I needed. The original reply to my inquiry was incorrect in the first place — quoting a Sunday wedding for me when I had indicated a Saturday date. I was told week after week that a catering manager would be finally contacting me "before the end of the day. " (On a side note, something I found very irksome was the fact that I reminded the assistant in every single email I sent that I prefer to be contacted by email and even provided my mobile number — of course, however, the "catering manager" Judy called me on my office phone when she finally contacted me. ) The "catering manager" Judy proceeded to tell me that my email must have a "junk filter" that blocked the emails that she claimed to have sent; however, after we spoke on the phone, an email from her came into my inbox with no issue (I also never received these "phantom" emails to my junk box — I checked. ). I am planning a very small wedding because I just moved to Texas and very little family live anywhere near Texas. I indicated in my response email that the minimums she provided for a Saturday were more than we had calculated (since we were provided catering menu PDFs that indicated different minimums) and that we could discuss any options she may have.
