They charged me $129 as a deposit beside my room payment and never refund while they told me it will be refunded after few days of departure. When I called them, their staff moved my call and hang up on me. I have been staying in Sheraton and Holiday Inn and other hotels. It never happened before. They don't follow their own refunded policy and keep customers money.

Travelling for business with 8 guys check in took almost an hour. We were told to "go sit in the lobby" and they lady at the desk called security. So not even one star for hospitality. The room is nice in appearance but the A/C doesn't work… in Houston… so I sweltered. The microwave had a broken foot so it wobbled and the glass plate inside didn't spin. The coffee maker is a burn hazard. It made about a 1/4 cup of coffee then spit steam at me. The towels are literally inside the shower. There's two rooms and two TV'S but only one remote worked… then there's parking. No big truck parking and my pickup truck barely fit in the garage. There's a Best Western 5 minutes down the road. A third the price, great parking, and the A/C and coffee maker work.

My Husband is a Cancer Patient with MD Anderson. They gave me a rate of $99 a night. The address for the Hotel takes you all over the world, plus they charge $36 a day for parking! They also charge your card $150 in case of incidentals. They charged my card $615 for 3 nights. We immediately checked out after one night. This place is terrible!

Absolutely pitiful hotel… 4 stars yeah right… maybe 3… no automatic cleaning of rooms?!? Covid is over… you mean to tell me they can’t bring you clean towels or take out trash? Never again will I book at this garbage hotel.

There’s no menu in the room for room service. No fan in the bathroom. Not worth it for the price 😕

We totally enjoyed our stay! Quick and easy check-in with a wonderful upgrade. The room was lovely, very spacious, clean fresh towels were delivered promptly upon request.
The lady in the “breakfast room” was so sweet, so helpful, made our stay so pleasurable!

Horrible! What they don’t tell you is they are housing people from Louisiana effected by the storm! It was busy, loud and a lot of traffic! I was in a room with a adjacent door and could hear the people next door whole conversation. Customer service was rude when I asked to change rooms and she put me in another room with the adjacent door and I still could hear people next door all night. The rooms stink and are small. The remote didn’t work and you have to pay for Wi-Fi! Also it’s 30.00 a night for parking and you have to park here to prevent towing. The grounds of the hotel were filthy! I will NEVER stay at another Double Tree!

Went to grab the tin of the amazing cookies I was told I had to preorder the day before when I visited the lobby, which I ordered (funny they didn’t take a name or number or anything) only to be sold cookies from the desk that could have been sold to me yesterday when I visited. Didn’t sit well with me but I’m eating my cookies so it makes it a bit of a better taste in my mouth about the whole thing.

I loved out view of the city. However, I wished the I've machine wasn't on the 2nd floor. We were in the 23rd floor.

Staff is rude and unhelpful stayed there for 5 nights just to be close to family. When ever you go to front desk it's as if you are bothering them. Room was nice and excellent view. And parking was a nightmare still was charged for that even when my husband had to park outside. I will never stay here again nor will I ever recommend someone there.

I am currently sitting in my room at 1 am with NO electric. Electricity has been out for over 6 hours now. I went down to the lobby (where everyone else is) and asked when electric would be back and they could not give me an answer. I told them that my husband HAS to have a cpap to sleep and asked them if we switch hotels would they give us a refund and they said that I would have to go back through the third party in order to take care of anything (I won’t get into that now because that was a nightmare). Due to the 3 day parking costing me $85 and the $150 hold they put on my card for incidentals we were unable to get another hotel. So we decided to stick it out here. We asked for sheets for the hideaway bed and was told they didn’t have any. Very, very rude staff and not apologetic for the inconvenience at all! Also, let’s not talk about the cleanliness of the room and how much stuff is broke in here. So here we are trying to get some rest in this VERY stuffy room with staff that are not willing to help or be sympathetic to the situation. I DO NOT recommend this hotel at all!

Horrible and everything is hidden charges, no Wi-Fi unless you paid for and no Refrigerator unless you paid for? No Wi-Fi in lobby either.

Great location with the Galleria at your doorstep. Service was good to an extent, front desk night receptionist didn’t know where we could go and find late night snacks in the area. We found Walgreens across the road ourselves nor did she know of a 24hr eatery close by, we found IHOP down the road ourselves too.

The hotel was beautiful the rooms were amazing I had the best sleep in a long time. The staff I interacted with were great overall. Though my only issue with this hotel was its elevators. So if you have over 5 floors you need good elevators. Those elevators dipped, shook, and had difficulty closing. The elevators went down so fast from the 21st floor that my ears congested when we finally hit the 1st. That's not the only issue my roommate had a monster in the fridge and after our room was clean his drink was gone our drink was stolen by someone with a master key or room service. I'd give it 5 but those elevators need some repairs/replacement and room service needs some discipline.

I love this hotel!. Great service, friendly staff. They go above and beyond if your kind enough to ask politely. Great location, lots of stuff to do in the area around the hotel. They have a shuttle that can drop you off at just about anywhere within a radius of a few miles. Join the Hilton honors program and reap the benefits of the club.

Good Family Hotel room on the 11th floor with kitchen and 2 bedrooms.

Front check in ladies were very nice except for one whom gave cold lack luster service upon our arrival. The other front counter lady whom checked us into the system was very pleasant and gave yummy cookies after we were promptly received with care. The rooms were very spacious and super — accomdating. This location is great for shopping and eating out. The other staff we encountered within the hotel were all friendly as well.

Not a bad hotel at all. Staff friendly and the bed comfortable. Haven’t used the pool or the restaurants. Have now been back for a second visit. Pool is great especially in the warmer season. Refreshing when you need it. Shade is a little limited in the afternoon. The staff were very pleasant again and couldn’t do more. The gym is adequate with enough equipment for most gym bunnies. Rooms are great size for two and very good for the solo traveler. The warm cookies on arrival are delicious!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. We waited 20 minutes to check in, night audit was rude and unprofessional, we went up to our room and noticed it only had one bed (we requested two), finally got into our room with two beds, called down stairs and asked for extra towels since there was only two towels and three of us and was told no to extra towels and the A/C could not keep the room cold. There was three of us staying and we parked two cars. I used my credit card for “possible room damages” and the other two ladies paid for the valet with their credit cards. I looked after check out and noticed I’m charged immediately $50 for room damages (when we honestly left the room nicer than we got it) then charged $25 for valet of one vehicle. Valet was already paid for by the other two young ladies and I know for a fact there was absolutely NO damages to the room. I called multiple times, I was hung up on, not transferred to management after asking several times. I disputed the claims with my bank and froze their charges, Hilton then charges me an additional $69 which I did not authorize. I finally had to close out my credit card so they would stop stealing my money! Horrible experience! I will never stay at anothe Hilton again and will make sure to spread the word!

Quite. Nice. Good drinks at the bar. Close to shopping areas and mall. Right in the middle of it all. The view was horrible from my room 808 and had to pay an additional $25 to park. I visit Houston on business every month for at least 7+ days. I shall never stay at this hotel again for I refuse to pay to park with bad views. I can definitely do better for $188.72 a night.

Horrible customer service. Staff all over the place. Had to approach desk several times to correct billing. 1st night, wasn't checked in, staff called early morning asking my name? … room had dirty carpet. Not a good visit. Only good thing was valet. Service from valet was good and friendly. Front desk didn't know anything.

Unfortunately the only nice part of the hotel is the public spaces. The rooms are only partially renovated and the sections not done are run down and falling apart. The water pressure keeps dropping when you try to take a shower so much that at times its a trickle. Housekeeping did not get to the room till after 3 even after being told at 1pm they would be doing the room next. Would not recommend this property.

Rooms are clean and relatively nice but dark since there is only one small window to let in light. The lobby is comfortable and staff are professional and friendly. The hotel is within walking distance to the Houston Galleria which is nice if you are going shopping or doing business in the area. My only complaint (a big one) is that DoubleTree takes advantage of its guests by giving them the option to either valet or paying $25 to park overnight in their garage. If the hotel was honest, they would reduce the cost for guests or let guests park overnight for free. This alone is enough to never have me stay here again.

Good place to stay though it’s pretty old, not renovated, old doors, no electric locks. The location, is awesome, pretty close to galleria, restaurants were close enough. I am living here for last 3 months and will live here for another 5 months though I give three star because old stuff, elevators wait time minimum 3 mins, some won’t work, room service poor, they don’t change anything, towels were stain and the toilet was dirty. The stairwell smelled as well. It takes a lot for me to give an okay review but I definitely do not recommend it to those who are looking for something cleaner. I don’t have any better options because I work pretty close to this one. And commuting to my work place minutes. For tourists, and who visits for please I will not recommend this one.

Delicious food, very good care and the super generous portions.
The only thing we can claim is that the appetizers (exquisite pizza pies) came after the meal.

Here for a volleyball tournament. Hotel is not efficient enough to handle large groups with a high rate of foot traffic in the common areas. 5 o’clock check in took 35-45min to get from front door to front desk due to limited front desk operating capability. Line was 20-50ppl deep to use the 4 elevators. If your room is on the mid floors you most likely had to wait 15-20m for an elevator and after that you were lucky to get one with room for one or two more people. Hotel rooms are very nice and the lobby and common areas are clean and comfortable. Good location with many dining choice within walking distance. Parking is pricey however it is priced as expected for the area. Friendly staff however I was kind of disappointed when we requested the front desk to send someone to ignite the pool decks fire pit no one showed up to do it. Had about 10 adults that would’ve enjoyed that. Probably didn’t happen because like my opening comment the hotel was too busy to handle the amount of people it had all at once.

I was just here for a business conference, so I cannot comment on the rooms. The inside of the hotel is stunning, very modern style with lots of glass, steel, and stone. Plenty of places to sit, recharge phones, and work on your laptop. We were served lunch by invisible servers who appeared out of nowhere when you needed something. Very impressive. Also, I am always kind of a pain because I am a vegetarian. I let the server know this and had a plate of vegetables come out with the rest of the lunches. No problem.

We have had reservations since November for a volleyball tourney and our room wasn’t ready when we showed up! Check ins at 4, got there at 515 and weren’t handed a key until 720pm. Missed dinner with friends to unpack and showerThey knew we were all coming, why couldn’t they have they’re ducks in a row for the crowd?!?

It was a nice hotel and king suite was big. Maybe we caught them at a really really bad time, but I was hoping for better considering the hotel chain. Only 1 out of the 4 elevators was working on one day, then only 2 on our our last 2 days. Room service didn’t come until 4:30pm on our first day there. Called to front office 4 times and no one answered. Finally went down in person to request a few items. Water pressure was horrible… we showered in a hurry because the water would keep going off while showering. Checking out took so much longer than checking in… even after waiting for someone to come to the counter. Hopefully this was just an off few days for them.

We had a wonderful stay. This is a great hotel in a great location. The only issue we had was the elevators were broken for a period of time. But overall a great stay and room.

The location, breakfast and the room itself was good. I will have to say that this hotel gets a three star because Some of our towels were stain and the toilet was dirty. The parking garage was a little on the small scale. And it was not attached to the garage. The stairwell smelled as well. $25 dollar mandatory parking fee per day. Heat nor air was working. Maintenance came to fix heat but air conditioner never worked. Hotel was hot on the entire 14th floor. Housekeeping did not have any face towels on hand. I was only provided with hand towels and large body towels. Overall I give them a 2. Aside from the location, my stay kinda sucked…

Worst hotel ever! I've forgot some items in the security box, and after communicating several times with the hotel chat service support, they gave me an email address.
I've sent many, many emails to the address they gave me, all the emails were answered for someone who has told me that I will be contact directly by the hotel. Nobody did that. I asked for the telephone number, and after all, I gave it to me (the wrong one, becouse I gave me the Dallas number). After many more telephone calls I could finally talked to the hotel service, and they told me that they have a book where they register all the lost things, and nothing was registered in the room I've stayed.
After all, the things weren’t anywhere.

Had an awesome stay at this Hilton, the hotel is beautiful, my suite was huge and the little service touches are unparalleled. As a Hilton honors member I received little snack packages everyday, there’s a bunch of healthy snacks but many have nuts which I am allergic to, the second morning I noticed the snacks are the same as the convenience shop in the lobby and ask if I could swap out on of the nut packs for something without nuts because of my allergy and the lady at the counter politely said she would take care of that if I brought the unused snacks down — but then I got back that evening there was a complete replacement bag, and bags for the remainder of my stay including all new drink vouchers for the lobby bar. It was a very nice gesture from the hotel staff and a great surprise to come home too after work. The vouchers are a great way to get guests mingling in the lobby — the bar always had guests relaxing and watching sports games over all it was an amazing stay!

I was there Saturday, December 16. First of all the room was nice and clean that’s not the issue the issue is is there was no hot water coming from the sink or the shower in my bathroom so I couldn’t take a shower. You can imagine I was traveling from out of town so I shower would’ve been great. Not only that when I came to the hotel there was no parking at the park on the top floor and get rained on and got charged $27. I will never stay at this hotel again if I come to Houston.

My husband and I stayed here and it was lovely. The hotel itself is quite beautiful with well appointed and comfortable rooms. Wonderful staff and even warm chocolate chip cookies upon check in. I've already booked my next stay.

The front desk staff is very rude. Had to wait 45 minutes for room to be ready upon arriving. When email said it would be ready by 4pm. Parking is horrible and had to park across the street at night and walk back to hotel with no security in sight. The room was brushed over and looked good till you turn the lights on. Dining table sticky and ketchup on it, crumbs and dinning and living room chairs. Balcony floor sticky and puke on the the rail and wall very gross. Floors need a good vacuum and moping in bathroom. When I asked the staff for anything they acted as if we're bothering them. Had a bad experience last time and thought I would give it another try but big mistake and it will never happen again. Awful hotel and careless staff.

This hotel is located in a great area. You can walk to stores and restaurants. The room was okay. It was clean. The noise from the halls emanate into your room along with the elevator sounds, which makes hard to sleep well. Parking IS NOT free. $25 fee for self parking. Entrance was hard to get into because they keep all the valet cars towards the front. Parking garage was poorly lit and always full. There's no elevator in the garage so had to take a few flights of stairs (I'm an expectant mother so this gets a little harder). If you want snacks or drinks I recommend walking over to Walgreens, because it's a better price and it's 24 hours. The shower head was really small and water didn't come out correctly. The TV connections didn't work so I couldn't even hook up a PC to it. Two of the four elevators only worked. During busier times it took an extra 5-7 minutes to get an elevator to hit our floor. I would not recommend staying here. There are better hotels down the road that I have stayed in before and were much better.

I really liked the facilities.

Honestly, I am surprised at the negative reviews that people leave. Staying here is always so pleasant, amazing beds, quiet, calm, everything is perfect. Location is amazing, not even a 5 minute walk to the galleria. It's unfortunate how most human beings are full of negativity, ungrateful, expect to be treated like some king/queen, and when their expectations are not met they leave negative reviews. Guys, do not let these negative people influence you, this hotel is very comfortable to stay at. Yes you pay for parking and "other things" but the people complaining about this obviously haven't ran a business before. Maybe they need to sit down with management and understand why things work the way they do before spreading their negativity in the world.

It sucks, it's gone bad.

Visiting from Florida and on business with my Houston based company, I stayed three nights. The staff was professional and accommodating. Food was delicious, front desk, bar staff (special thanks to Javier) and wait staff for all of our meeting room meals were all terrific. Room linnens were clean and comfortable, however, I did find previous occupant trash wedged between desk and wall as well as under a chair. I also had issue with the lack of hot water for my entire stay but I do believe that is often an issue during high peak hours of use. Overall, the hotel is inviting and I enjoyed my stay.

Terrible air conditioning. Turns off every 4 hours. Room 1708 Hilton honor floor. Had to get up twice each night to turn AC back on. Front disk says it is part of the green program. Great, hotel save a few pennies and bake when the room gets too hot. Only two elevator seem to be working at any given time. This place needs an overhaul.

Never ever again. I had to change room 3 times because I never got the one in the reservation. Even if I am HH I had to get a code for internet which I wasn’t told. Within the first 30 minutes of my staying I had to go downstairs 5 times. Breakfast is dreadful, just bad food and one day I had to set my own table because none of the stuff really cared. Room was cleaned every 2 days, unbelievable. I had to pay parking which I never did before. My manager who was in the hotel with me, with the same rate, checked out without paying parking. The staff was rude, clueless and clearly devoted to the profit more than the customer. Going back to Houston in 2 weeks, already booked another hotel.

I've done a bit of traveling for business and this "newly renovated" hotel does not have the kind of service and quality that their four star claim professes. If you want to plug in your phone or charge any mobile devices, there is only one accessible wall plug and a desk plug across the room, neither of which are near the bed. Surprisingly, there are no plugs in the bed side lamps or nearby. The fridge is not cold and has no freezer compartment. The microwave is old and the buttons are grossely dirty. And the A/C just does not cool. Front desk service is poor. In all my years, this is only the second bad review I've posted for a hotel. There are tons of other local hotels in this area… Pick another and be Happy!

The service at the front desk was impeccable. Our room was beautiful. We had the peaceful getaway that we were seeking. Will be back. Fresh Cookies upon check-in… who can ask for more.

Love Love Love this hotel! The staff (Robert & Marisa) were beyond amazing, super nice and not only gave me the names of some really nice restaurants but also printed out directions too! The room was very nice and updated. Room Service was very quick and tasty. Recommend the Grilled Chicken Caprese Sandwich. The hotel is right in the middle of everything. Gotta love the cookie at check in as well.

Worst experience of my life with this hotel and their valet! My boyfriend was staying here while his house was being remodeled and I drove from Dallas to see him. The first night was fine, but I had a flight to catch the next day. I left my car with the hotel valet for 2 days while I was out of town, and when I flew back I noticed that the luggage I left behind in my trunk had been tampered with. Both bags were open and ruffled through and I complained to a gentleman by the name of Josh (tall, white. ) and a Hispanic lady whose name I can't recall now. They told me not to worry, they would run the cameras back and let me know what was going on. Not even 48 hours later, I get my car from valet and open my trunk to grab something out of my luggage and notice both bags missing! I should have taken my luggage with me after the first incident, but they had given me their word that they would look into the situation. I reported incident immediately to the valet supervisor, and front desk management. I contacted the Houston police department to file a report and after several hours, they had finally showed up. The manager (Monyca) told me they would follow up with me once they spoke with general management. In the meantime, I received very vague responses from management and I felt like they weren't taking the situation seriously so I contacted corporate. Corporate told me they would contact the hotel management and give them 48 hours to reach out to me.

Nice hotel in a great area that offers a lot to do. The hotel seems to need updates in some areas. The air vent in our room had some mold, the mini fridge didn't seem to work, and one of the elevators had a rattling noise like it was hitting something. On the day we were leaving they seemed to be working on the elevator. While the room felt cool the rest of the hotel always felt hot, humid, or both. The front lobby also had a gas smell to it. The room was a good size for two people and the staff was always friendly.

Possible the worst customer and valet service ever. On multiple occasions I have been over looked at the valet area while other we're takin careful whom showed up after my arrival. They do not have enough people manning the both so it takes at least 15 to get your car. I don't think I have ever felt so insulted in my life. If you are a women trying to get your car expect them to help all the men first then they will address you! Just awful awful service. Don't get me wrong the hotel is very nice the rooms are big but will never book here again the staff are ghetto and unprofessional.

Location was convenient for our purpose and there are some great restaurants within walking distance. The lobby and bar area are nice. The room was ok. The TV was dim, and I guess it takes an Electrical Engineer to figure out how to increase brightness. The shower only hat extremely hot or scorching hot water… the alternative was no water pressure and bearable water temperature. The worst of all was the breakfast buffet. The quality of food is absolutely awful. I mentioned it to the staff, and they agreed! … luckily also volunteered to not charge us for it. Honestly, I would not stay there again.

First of all, my sheets are dirty when I get out of the shower to go to bed… Takes them 45 minutes to send someone to change them. During that time, 2 other things happen. The AC which I have set to 60 degrees, is doing nothing. Meaning it still feels like it's 75 degrees in my room… and then the coffee maker keeps turning on by itself with no water in it at all. I told the lady on the phone that I want to do we moved into another room and she gave me this BS about being sold out which they're not, and I asked if she would call me to let me know if there's another room available because I need to go to bed and I have a very early morning tomorrow and not send maintenance to fix the AC but instead of calling me back, she sent the maintenance guy. This whole ordeal started at 9:30 and it's now midnight and the "fixed" AC is now blowing hot air all over again. Worst experience ever.

This night felt like a bad dream! The absolute worst hotel experience of my life! Very rude, disrespectful and unhelpful staff. They made me book an extra room because I had 5 guest instead of 4. I payed for the extra room, even though none of my guest were staying overnight. My guest were still harassed by security insisting to see visitors passes to board the elevator even though all of my guest checked in the proper way and had already showed proper Id. We eventually had to leave after only being in the room for 30 minutes because the hotel staff made my guest extremely uncomfortable by constantly knocking on the door and calling the room phone to tell us our phones speaker (playing Pandora) was too loud. Even though no one was in the adjoining room to complain. Security waited outside of my door for the brief time I was there and refused to leave my room when I opened the door because they were knocking. When I asked the manager what the problem was, the security guard interrupted her and said "we don't like the look of your guest" I was appalled when the manager didn't correct or reprimand her security. The manager refused to return my money for the Un used room. And even got ugly and cursed at me when I said I would give a bad review… I wish I could give zero stars. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone for business or pleasure. I'm out $600 and only stayed in one room for less than 30 minutes.

My recent stay here was not a good one I was there for a two night stay for my vacation. I was placed in three rooms within a two day period the hotel was nice to look at but the three rooms I was placed in we're horrible one room locked me out the next room air conditioning went at 1:00 am which made it impossible to sleep because when the unit came back on it was at 71degrees last room toilet wouldn't flush to top it off maintenance never showed up to fix anything they neglected to handle all the problems that we experienced. When we checked out we were given cookies and water which was the compensation we received with a "I'm sorry you had to experience that" You would think that the situation would have been handled upon request, but it wasn't even if you were renovating you should make sure your guest experience the best you have to offer the ice machine didn't even work sorry but I would not recommend anyone to stay at Doubletree.

Absolutely the worst hotel experience of my life! Checked in late to rude, ghetto staff and were told there was no water due to a city's main water line leaking. We were told the water would be out for 2 hours so we waited up and nothing. At no point did the hotel contact us to let us know in advance of the situation so that we could've made other arrangements. We had no running water, no air conditioner and there were no ice machines anywhere to keep my baby's formula from spoiling. I called the manager on duty and he was extremely rude, unprofessional and crass. I was told I could either go downstairs for water myself or check out. I have never seen such lack of customer service from such a reputable hotel chain. Isn't it call hospitality not hostility?! The general manager Sam was supposed to call me back last week and I am still waiting. They refused to refund the two nights stay that we did not have water. do not book here stay far away from the double tree galleria!

I stayed at this hotel recently, and I definitely would not stay here again if I'm in Houston again. When I first arrived with my fiance I was informed about a pipe that busted outside the hotel and because of that the water and air was not working. That's was a huge inconvenience considering we had been on the road for 12 hours. The staff did not try to give anyone a discount on their room or even call customers in advance so that other hotel accommodations could be made. The parking prices were outrageous, the staff was rude. The only pros to this hotel is the proximity to the Galleria and the highway. One of the worst Doubletree's I've stayed at.

Absolutely horrible service. We checked in at 1:30 am, only to find that the room did not have a functional safe or phone and the dresser was smashed up. We went back downstairs to request a different room and the guy behind the desk (named Johnson) told us he couldn't do anything and that we should just check the next day. There are literally hundreds of rooms there and he didn't move us to a different room until we kept persisting. The second room wasn't much better. The bathroom was leaking water all over the tile. The daily service for cleaning the room was hit or miss and they would only show up half the time. And then the hotel overcharged incidentals when we left. Would not stay here again and would not recommend anyone else stay there. There are plenty of other hotels in the area that would be way better.

I booked a room for an overnight stay because I was working an even nearby… I arrived at the hotel to find out there is a $24 charge for parking for a 24hr period (not an option for self parking) that was not mentioned in ANY information about the hotel. Once inside to check-in, the desk clerk tells me the room is not ready and there is no estimated time it will be ready but someone will notify me when it's ready. So I sit in the lobby waiting on the room. I ask the same desk clerk, 2 different times when the room would be ready and she tells me she does not know. Over an hour has past and I'm still waiting. At this point I am upset and I go stand in line again and was told by a different desk clerk that the room has been ready for a while but no one bothered to tell me! I check into my room and run some errands before it's time for me to go to work the event I'm here for. I get back to my room to take a shower and there are no towels! I'm livid at this point. I call the front desk, no one answers. So I get dressed to go get towels. So now I'm late for work, lose money and all that is done is the parking is validated and a free breakfast! That is unacceptable to me! I could have had a better night for free than pay $100 for that kind of treatment! Just not right! I am a travel agent who will not be sending my customers that way!

The rooms were clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The staff was helpful and courteous. The parking was a little full in the evening, so that was a challenge to navigate, but it worked out. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Houston.

Stayed with them in Feb 2016. Construction occurring on my floor. My room smelled like construction adhesive. The smell was so bad it gave me a headache. I went to open the balcony door to find cigarette butts from the previous guest and a wasp nest. The TV in my living room didn't work and the table that sat on was all busted up in the TV in my bedroom have a faulty remote. The engineering department did come up and get the TVs working but I still head busted furniture. The hallway leading to my room was full of debris and never was vacuumed in the three days that I was there. I tried to use the complimentary Wi-Fi due to my conference and because I'm a Gold level member and it didn't work. The front desk was confused and after they gave me three different promotion codes to use, it finally worked. The executive level complimentary breakfast on the 26th floor was basically all carbs it didn't taste very well. During my conference it was hard to hear the speakers due to the construction noise and the new av set up did not work in the room. The lighting controls and the HVAC also didn't work which led to dark rooms and sweltering heat. After raising these complaints to guest services after the second day they said they would pass my concerns on to the engineering department. Definitely not the Doubletree experience that I've had at other locations. I don't recommend it.

Seriously Hilton, the worst. The hotel is currently under a badely needed renovation. My experience was disappointing because the room had serious balcony door security and safety issues, poor houskeeking, poor customer service, money hungry hotel which charges 10$ Wi-Fi fee after paying 200$ a day room fee, food was just ok, I had to wait 2.5 hours for face towels that were never there, it appears someone occupied room before my arrival, used face soap and left a dirty bar of soap in holder. Yuck. Kitchen didn't have utensils but plenty of pots and pans. I selected this hotel because of the Gym. There was no gym. 85% of The front desk staff was rude and didn't respond to issues in a timely fashion. No hot water in kitchen. I could go on but I can't waste my time. I WILL not be back ever. Bad hotel.

We checked in and the 1st room they put us in was literally horrible they are doing some construction work on different floors and the room not only had a horrible smell like construction work and wasn't properly cleaned, the lights also didn't work. We had a reservation to be at for 11:50 pm. We had already made our reservation for the room way earlier so it would be a faster check in for the fact we knew we had somewhere to be. We checked in around 11:00pm, when we called the front desk to ask for another room and told her about the lights didnt work and that we couldn't even see to unpack and get ourselves together and explained we had somewhere to be, she refused to give us another suite and told us she would send the engineer to try and fix it. After about 20 more minute's he finally comes and he couldn't fix it only then did she give us another room and was rude about it as if we done something wrong. So the next room was fine but also wasn't ready the TV in the bedroom did not work and the shower/ tub water wouldn't drain down, tired of going back and forth with them we just looked over it because we had missed our reservation for dinner and was highly disappointed and just said we would never come back. I have stayed there numerous of times and never have I seen an unfriendly staff and treated that way we were.

Great stay overall, was with a marching band for a bowl game during my trip. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Rooms were spacious and well appointed, only gripe is that the hotel was undergoing renovations so construction was visible, and audible, but really at no fault to the hotel. Location was very good, as the Galleria and a wide variety of other shops and restaurants were within walking distance. Would recommend, and stay again.

Double tree hotel by Hilton in galleria Houston claimed themselves a 3.5 stars hotel, but when you stepped in, it felt like a crowed stable. The smelly smell made your nose irritated. We were assigned on the 22nd floor and the hall way was covered with plastic wrappers, it smelled like painting spilled out, filled all over the air, even in the hotel rooms. I asked the front desk what happened, they just said will find out, but no any answer at all.

Very nice hotel, good service, nice habitacuones. Lousy laundry service.

I just checked in and I got 2 rooms. One of my rooms got "upgraded" to a suite and the other got a basic room. You should never leave half of the party out when they book together. The standard room had a hair in the bed, toilet paper that looked use, and you could hear people loudly through the double door that connected us to the some else room. The hotel is also going under major renovation that no one told us about that causes the rooms to smell horribly, and the beds are no more comfortable that a motel 8. I called the front desk to see what they could do and they said no other rooms were available for us to be moved to. If this weren't a upscale hotel I wouldn't care, but I payed for a excellent experience not a subpar. I travel to Houston a lot and will never stay at this hote again. I suggest staying in the Westin or the Hilton downtown you will actually get a first class experience.

The organization could have been a bit better — I was in town for a convention, and they seemed short staffed (especially in the morning and evening when the convention-goers were leaving and arriving) despite knowing the convention shuttle hours. Staff was friendly, but tended to forget requests, since they were written on small scraps of paper. Not sure if this was typical or because of convention. It also seemed like some reservations were lost. When we were checking out, apparently the whole Hilton computer system was offline. We were charged the old fashion way with pen and paper — we were charged the right amount, but didn't receive any email invoice as requested.

Good hotel. Spacious rooms. The breakfast could be better.
