Good stay in a great location. Room was pretty decent. We were here to do a good amount of exploring in the city. So, it wasn’t much staying in the room. However, it was extremely peaceful and nice space.

I reserved a room which included 2 complimentary cocktails at the hotel bar. I went to the front desk to get my cards for the drinks (I forgot about them at check-in) and was told that it “wasn’t in the system” so I couldn’t get them. I pulled up my confirmation email that showed my purchase with the promise of 2 free drinks and the lady at the front desk said I needed to call the customer service line because what was on my email did not match what was in the system. I got in touch with customer service and they were confused as to why the deal was not being honored if it was on the confirmation email. According to the front desk, even though the email stated I would receive 2 drinks “that’s not how it works”, because it wasn’t in the system and even if it was in their system the deal is 1 drink for the person who reserved the room (what? Then why would the package have a ‘2’ in the description and why would DRINKS be plural? ). After she argued with the customer service agent, the front desk employee gave me 2 cards “as a courtesy” while we waited for the customer service agent to call the front desk rather than speaking on my cell phone. When I finally went to redeem the coupons, my boyfriend and I literally had to wait until two out of the 4 people at the bar counter left to be acknowledged by the bartender (about 10 minutes).

I was celebrating my birthday weekend and needed a hotel near downtown. Unfortunately it was ruined due to being double charged by the hotel. It took several phone calls before was resolved and took a week to before my husband was refunded.

Very nice place, the rooms were smaller than expected. But so modern and nice. Great friendly staff at the "front desk". And parking in the garage is not free.

Just checked in but so far so good. A little trendy but great location and friendly staff! Room is clean and beds are soft.

The hotel is in a great location with great restaurants and shops nearby. Room was small but extremely clean and modern. Also the bed is one of the more comfortable I've slept on. I'll definitely be staying here again.

Manager Rochelle was very accommodating and made sure we were satisfied, even after some initial hiccups regarding booking through a 3rd party website. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend. Breakfast was great with a chef to make skillets and omelets for a reasonable price.

It is a very modern hotel, outside the typical hotel, very comfortable beds, the attention is very friendly. The rooms are a little small but have all the amenities.

The room was ok. The liner on the shower door was falling off, and I had to slide it back in place so water wouldn't leak everywhere. At about 9:30 am, we could hear people talking loudly, and the maids were already vacuuming next door, waking us up. It wasn't terrible, but not entirely cozy and comfortable, either.

Absolute hidden treasure, awesome modern design, excellent location and price. Neat little amenities. Pet friendly!

Hotel was great. But I accidentally left a bath bag with some things in it that has now gone missing. Housekeeping doesn't have it, lost and found doesn't have it. Really upset that there aren't honest people working there. Bottom line is don't leave your belongings, you won't get them back.

Bathroom sliding door inside handle was missing. They came to check them replaced one with different screw hole spacing. Only one end of the handle was screwed in. Very awkward to open and close. The bar does not have any draft beer on tap. Neither some other beers and all hot refreshment listed in their menu. The security is kind of loud and rude knocking the next door to check if he is smoking I sit the room. Doesn’t feel like a very friendly and comfortable environment to stay.

I love this hotel. It’s always my first choice of hotels to stay at. It’s modern, clean and staff is always friendly. My first experience with Aloft was in Buffalo, New York, I had such a good experience that I have only booked rooms with this hotel since. Always a pleasure. Highly recommend it to anyone.

Very modern, young, colorful. They offer a concept of a "cool" environment. But probably the most profitable hotel of SPG chain. Made of not very expensive materials, rates are not low. On the contrary, a little too high for what is and for what they have to offer.

A central and economical place would stay there.

First time staying at this type hotel. Id say very modern. Room was nice I just didn't prefer how shower and toilet area were set up with just a sliding door. The staff was nice and friendly. Id give 5 stars BUT… the housekeeping ruin my morning there! Around 9am they were knocking on door (check out was at 12) and I told the lady. Then same lady came back knocking around 10am. She did not understand where I was telling her 1st time we were here till check out 12. Other than that part was a good place to stay.

Staff has been great. Love the location and the price for the room and where we are staying is always decent. Only issue I have is the pool is terrible. We tried to use it and I honestly think they should hide the pool from the patrons because it was definitely a sore eye. Overall a decent hotel for the price.

Great location… Walking distance from galleria mall and amazing spots to eat. The hotel hallway did have a weird smell, and the pool is just a kiddy pool. But overall, I enjoyed my stay and the hotel served my purpose.

Awesome space, perfect location (walking distance to galleria) rooms have nice modern look, and everything seems modern from elevators to doors and locks. Loved this place will be back.

First off, location! Great Great Great! Besides the Galleria traffic off Westheimer, this is still prime location. Shops and restaurants up and down the street. Near the freeway. And only minutes away from downtown Houston. If I would to complain about anything, as small as it may be, is that the carpet is trash. The rest of the interior design is so warmth. My view, facing the Galleria, is nothing too spectacular but it's nothing terrible. Oh, wait, I do have a legitimate complaint. After getting a good deal of the room, I felt pretty good about choosing this hotel. Well, I end up paying about $80 a day just for parking. $18 a day parking fee is rifuckingdiculous. They make it seem like a option, but there's no where else you can park around this area. Extortion if you ask me. Besides that criminal element, I enjoyed my stay and would probably come back sometime in the future.

Way to expensive for the rooms. The price differed from all the sites promoting the hotel. My fridge was broken, the ac barely worked. Cops were knocking on doors and storming up and down the halls that whole night looking for someone they never found. Breakfast was said to be free but it wasnt. Dont like paying hundreds of dollars for a room then still have to pay for breakfast. Negative. Never coming here for even a drink again. Just a horrible experience.

The parking fees are absolutely ridiculous and if I was aware I would have to pay $18 per day to park at a hotel where I am a guest, I would have picked a different hotel. I understand maybe $10 to park but $18 is absolutely ridiculous and shows no hospitality to the guest at the hotel. Other than parking, the modern design of the hotel is appealing. That’s pretty much all you’re getting is a modern looking hotel. Nothing screams “I appreciate your stay” to make you want to return.

Loved this hotel! I'm a native Houstonian and I stayed here for my sister's birthday weekend. We had a blast! My only complaint was that I couldn't stay longer. The room was perfect, three bed was heavenly and the staff was very nice and unobtrusive. Definitely a must I stay here again.

Could use some updates but I like the Aloft line a lot. A drive from downtown but not a bad location. Would recommend.

Paying for parking in a garage the hotel clearly owns is pathetic. I could understand the fee if the hotel had to rent space. THEY DON'T! If you can't cancel the pay for parking fee, add it to the price of the room. Because of the parking fee, I will never go back there. $252.00 for parking! … lol. LAME! Other than that, great hotel. Great location.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Staff was always pleasant and even gave us another room without hesitation when the A. C. Went out. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Worth every penny.

Beautiful setting and nice outdoor space however the drink prices are outrageous. Bottle of imported beer was almost $8 and a single Maker's Mark with ice was $12. Doesn't leave much room for the tip!

Awesome stylish place in an amazing location. All the people at the front desk have been above and beyond helpful. Located just beside the galleria, definitely in walking distance. Rooms get cold and I've yet to hear any noisy neighbors.

This is a great hotel to stay if you do not go down to the lobby. They defiantly want millennials and not 60+ year old travelers. First the good, the architectural design of the rooms, placement of bathroom the shower show real knowledge of what the traveler needs. This hotel has a great shower. Also, the blackout shades the are easy to use, are not in conflict with the air conditioner and do block out the light are great, but the shower and bath are the crown jewel of this hotel. Placed between the hall and the bed you have a natural buffer for any sound from the hall. The room is dead quiet. The bed is comfortable, the towels are thick and plentiful but the next time I stay I'll bring my own soap. I detest liquid soap in the shower. Now the bad. This is a LOUD hotel in the lobby. It is geared to 24-35 year old in decor and noise level. It is hard to have a business conversation with the noise level. All in all I will stay again but avoid the lobby for anything but comings and goings.

Stayed here for a weekend trip to houston. The hotel seems like a good fit for trips that you're prepared to spend most if not all of your time out side of the room. You open the door to a bathroom/kitchen area duo, around an open corner is the bed/living area. It's a very small and close quarters room. Personally I find it ideal for couples, I don't know if I would come here with more than two people although I did not see a room with 2 beds in it so I don't know how they managed or how big the other rooms are. The mini fridge is under the bathroom sink, the bathroom door does not lock, these things didn't bother me because we didn't have to use them, granted other people might like those features. The showers were nice and modern and had extremely good water pressure. We had a wonderful view of Houston, our AC unit was unusually noisy, the bed was very comfortable we stayed in a room with a king bed. Overall I would stay here again for a quick trip.

Very modern space. Close to some cool places. Staff was super friendly. There was always someone at the front desk to greet you and say goodbye.

Very nice location and affordable. Has a great pool area and great gym. My only issue was the rooms are kinda small and you have to pay for parking other than that… Had a nice stay and would stay again.

Overall our stay was smooth, no big issues. The a/c was pretty loud and kept the room either really cold or really hot — the shower was very pretty but water seeped through the door onto the floor so we had to lay towels out to keep it from puddling up. Everything else was great. The bed was very comfy, staff provided excellent customer service and parking was very convenient although it was a bit pricey for me. I'll definitely stay again but only if I can get a good deal $$.

1. They did not offer any treat bags for my dogs and they used to have a bowl of water at the entrance. Feel like they are not as doggie friendly as before. 2. People were partying late at night on my floor and hanging out in the hallway, made me feel like I am in a Motel6 instead of aloft. Will look for another hotel next time, too bad I used to love this aloft.

My friend and I got married at the Argonaut this past weekend and it was fantastic! We could not have asked for a more responsive, organized and prepared team. The venue is colorful, full of fun and personality, and all around wonderful. The event coordinator, Regina, is wonderful. We loved it!

As always, you never fail to amaze us of your impeccable service. The entertainment is word-class service. The amenities of the function hall is state of the art and first class. The catering and drinks are awesome and the hospitality of staff is excellent. We would like to thank "Platformit Events" by Daniel, for letting us be a part of your parties.

The most uncomfortable place I have stayed in years: Aloft Houston has a friendly front desk but it stops there. Walls are thin. Air conditioner rattles and blows directly at the bed. Unfortunately we selected this hotel based on previous good experiences with the chain. Tip for those traveling with pets — the dogs seem happy.

Wish we could give less than 1 star. Staff is not experienced and do not know their way around the area. Was no use is getting transportation back from NRG Stadium. Other hotels in the area had shuttle service, but not this Aloft. Completely unprepared for the final four, can imagine what it will be like during the super bowl. Stay away!

The hotel itself was very nice, rooms were nice. We had booked 2 rooms for a Bachelorette party. The non guest elevator was out of service and the stairs dumped you out on the wrong side of the bldg! We had to haul all our stuff around the corner to get into the lobby. Then, they couldn't give us adjoining rooms and they gave us a hard time about wanting rooms close to each other. They told us those were the only two rooms available on that floor as if we had specifically requested to be on that floor. Overall customer service was not as well as I expected.

We came to Houston for a family trip with 2 toddlers. The hotel location is prefect for visiting the zoo, children's museum and Galleria mall. Check in was a breeze and I wish I had downloaded the app prior to coming to take advantage of keyless room entry with my phone. But I'll know next time. The rooms are very roomy with great bedding and showers. Self Parking is 16.00 per day and really convenient with elevators in the parking garage that go to the hotel's floors. The staff have so far been really pleasant and friendly. We would stay here again.

My review is conflicted. Some things about this place were down right awful and others were better than expected. The hotel staff was half and half. Overall quite helpful, less enthusiastic than expected though and I encountered a couple employee gatherings. My first impression was that the room and hotel do not live up to the hype of their online pictures. The rooms are tiny and obviously very cheap (as to be expected I suppose) but the dirty feel to the place was not expected. The room was hard to sleep in (doors slamming loud in the hallways, lots of weird noises throughout the building can be heard also). I awoke several times to noises and that NEVER happens to me. I was disappointed by their lack of TV stations or movie renting options (there are no movie renting options by the way) and if you want room service you pay much more because it is being delivered from a restaurant not located in the hotel. Expect high prices from Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and a delivery fee. Positives for me were the helpful shuttle that runs every 30 minutes and the "grab and go food. " I would prefer a normal hotel breakfast instead of ordering at a window but it was fine for one day. I wouldn't stay here again, but I met some lovely and helpful people. The Galleria being a 7 minute walk was wonderful also.

This line of hotels is always a quick go to for my Wife and I when we need to stay somewhere on a weekend. They make things very easy and the Starwood point system is one of the best ones I think. I get rooms for very little points. We also like staying at these because they are pet friendly. This particular one is in a great location and has a great valet service as well.

Great beautiful place with friendly staff and very clean building who is everything you could ever think to need from a hotel. An excellent example of the kind of quality you can expect from any Starwood property.

It wasn't as expected regarding the hotel being an aloft. It was ok. The room was small and some things were dirty. People can be heard from the room over. Overall it was ok.

No room service. I called for face towels because they were not in the room and I was told to come and get them from front desk. Not the room service I'm use to. Breakfast menu is very limited.

I'll admit that I was worried about staying here during my trip to Houston and reading the reviews, however I liked the location near the Galleria Mall and they allowed us to bring our 60lb black lab. This has been our greatest hotel experience ever! We missed the last shuttle that runs from the hotel to the mall and thought we would have to walk back to the hotel, but when we called they sent us a cab and paid for it but didn't charge it to our room, the staff is amazing and friendly, also for the dog owners out there, they give you a doggie gift of bags, 2 treats, a tennis ball, and even bring dog bowls to your room for your 4 legged family member. Also to be noted is that there was NO pet deposit, and NO charge for anything like a "pet cleaning fee" which is great for people with dogs who are trained. The hotel manager and staff all seem to love dogs, and they offer a heated indoor swimming pool, gym, and pool table. Overall, they made our trip a wonderful family vacation, and the $16 per day parking was well worth it for us considering that other hotels wanted an extra $150 for bringing a dog and had a 25lb weight limit. Definitely will be staying here again!

I thought this hotel was great. I loved the way the room was designed. It was a reasonable price for a hotel in downtown Houston and I would definitely stay there again.

Great for the price. Very modern design. It does lack in customer service at times but hey, you get what you pay for.

Never coming here again! I always wanted to stay at this hotel but now I wouldn't tell anyone to stay here. After checking in I took a shower before getting some sleep and a staff member came in my room and saw me nude while I was stepping out the shower. The hotel told me they could do anything but give me free parking only because I pre paid for the room! I wasn't happy even if I paid before it shouldn't matter. If I would have known I would get looked at nude for $16 for parking I would have not paid up front. The toilet pressure barely flushed and the walls were so thin. I don't know why but there was a hole/vent that I noticed I could see the lights on in the next room and heard talking as well as the TV. This is a new Hotel and its not the best place to stay at all.

Interesting place. It's built on top of a parking garage. It's not a very large hotel, but it is nice. Paying 16 for the parking and the overpriced snacks were a bit of a put off, but it's a clean place. I appreciate that they were able to turn an old parking garage into a hotel.

This was my first time staying in an Aloft and it was just okay. Not as impressed as I thought I would be. But great rates.

Ok hotel. Not nearly as nice for the location. Practically no service. Had to haul all my luggage myself. Too many flamboyant workers. Way too many. Made it uncomfortable. Last night there, a prostitute stumbles out of a room as I was walking down the hallway. Then she is hanging out in the parking garage when we get in our cars. Need better security, better service, and better rooms. The door in the room weighed about 100 pounds and the carpet was disgusting. The maid lives there? We saw the made one morning, then the next she was walking around in her PJ's? Awkward.
