Had an excellent stay at this Hampton Inn. Check in was a breeze and the room was very clean and comfortable. Spent three days and two nights here. The whole staff was was friendly and accommodating Especially the night staff. Geoffrey was most helpful! He was friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. I am a smoker and the designated smoking area was a covered area close to the main building. The free breakfast was very good. There was a vast array of selections and everything was quite tasty! Also, their night security was present and visible. Made me feel very secure! Would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to my family and friends! Job well done Hampton Inn!

The Hampton Inns have always been my favorite place to stay and this Hampton Inn in Houston Chinatown is one of my favorites. What's not to love. The rooms are always clean and all the staff are always friendly. There's one thing that stands out at this place, is the tea bags in the lobby. Where else are you going to get ginseng in your tea. A question to the manager… where do you get that tea?

Housekeeping and front desk staff are very nice and helpful. Sofas and carpet showing a lot of wear with stains and patches in the carpet but hotel is very clean. Manager said they’re in the process of replacing worn furniture which will help tremendously. Wanted to use the pool and jacuzzi but both were very dirty. Initially gave 1 star because of an incident but updating to 4 stars because the hotel is very clean and the manager does care about guest satisfaction and that means a lot.

Enjoyed myself a lot. The staff was a major part in the great time I experienced. Definitely would come back.

Nice room. We didnt have a place to hang out dress clothes. Water pressure was minimal. Breakfast was light but they do have the waffle maker (only 1 so we had to wait).

I found “bed bugs in my room-322. I reported to the front desk and they switched me to room 216. However, they refused to take care of my clothes and luggage. Not happy with their response.

Stay was comfortable. Bathroom faucet loose. Made the mistake of leaving my son's borrowed jacket behind. Didn't realize until day after got home. Called three separate times to inquire if had been turned in. In all three times no one called back to let me know if cleaning staff had turned in. Guess someone needed it more than we did. It's a shame cus it says a lot about the integrity of the place.

This Hampton Inn seems to be a little worn my expectations for the chain, but the staff is friendly, and the free breakfast is good. The pool hadn’t been cleaned in a while, and was covered with leaves and even a newspaper floating in it. I ran the hot tub for over an hour and it never got warm. I stayed in the third floor, and the hallway carpet was stained. The room and common areas were clean, however. The front desk staff easily accommodated our requests for more towels as well.

Overall cleanliness of the room was OK, at best. Wingchair in the room was extremely dirty as well as the office chair needs repair (the back of the chair will not stay in place when you put any weight on it). Carpet in the room has liquid stains in many locations, needs some work. Additionally the American flag and the Texas flags in front of the hotel are in very bad shape, I imagine from the hurricane but they look very dirty and worn.

Water came out brown-ish, co worker had blood all over her room. Rooms did not looked cleaned.

The room wasn't bad but there must have been a leak somewhere because the entire floor smelled absolutely horrible. Breakfast there was okay but nothing to brag about. Should have just stayed at the Springhill suites.

The hotel is nice — fine shower head and nice bed. My two most important criteria! I did get down to the gym, which was small but had all the necessary equipment (bike, elliptical, treadmill, weights). It was a small room and two guys came in to do a video routine. It got a little tight. I did not stay for breakfast so I can't speak to that, but I'm sure it was the same as other Hamptons.

Active Security in the evening, clean rooms, pleasant and friendly staff, cost feel, clean parking, and manicured lawn. Access is easy from both sides of the property. All in all a good wholesome inn.

This place is DISGUSTING. Dead bugs in room. Look elsewhere! Tried to be patient and the guy at the front desk was so kind, but the owner of this branch obviously doesn't care about the hotel or his customers. The guy at the front desk said he rarely gets a happy guest and for him to make that statement makes it clear I'm not the only upset guest here.

This Hotel Hampton Inn is a FEMA subsidized hotel. My husband and I are evacuees of Hurricane Harvey because our home flooded. When we first checked in this hotel we were told we should be able to extend. However, the hotel forced us to check out every day when we stayed there. We had to beg them to extend every day. They simply told us they are a business hotel. Evacuees of Hurricane are not welcome there. We were kicked out when our home was still inundated in 3 feet high water. This is a second nightmare for us during Hurricane Harvey. As residents in Houston for nearly 30 years, we had never been deeply humiliated like this. They have no sympathy to the victims of Hurricane. We will NEVER book a Hampton Inn & Suites again. When you are going to book a Hampton Inn, think about our experience.

The hotel was nice but, the elevators were not working so we were stuck walking up and down stairs with heavy luggage. Other than that I would have given five stars.

Nice and very clean and staff friendly.

Pool was disgustingly green. Area was unwelcoming and it looked cheaper than Ikeda.

Everything about my stay has been great. The rooms are good sized, and they have great air conditioning (important in Houston). I'll be making trips here every month, and for my purpose, this will be my hotel of choice.

We went there when I have to register of some documents to The Consulate-General of Indonesia in Houston. The place close to the hotel. Nice and clean hotel.

Clean Hotel friendly workers always with a smile greet you every time you come into the area the common area to say hello. This is a barebones hotel if all you want to do is sleep and work at your desk. Very quiet and peaceful. No restaurant no alcohol.

Our daughter was having a surgery in the Houston Medical Center. We were unable to find a hotel closer to the medical center due to a conference at the George R. Convention Center. We found this hotel about 20 minutes away. It was excellent, the staff was very pleasant and easy to work with. The rooms are very clean and nice there was no smell of smoke. We would definitely stay here again.

Not easy to find. Limited parking. Peeling wallpaper. Channels on TV are crap. 20 of the 60 channels are the same movie preview show. Channels like HGTV, TWC, ESPNEWS, FX, SyFy, MTV, and COMEDY. I mean come on. I would list them all but the list I made last night house keeping threw away. The towles I hung up to reuse they took anyway. Oh and there are almost no places to eat nearby. But a least there are no bed bugs and the Wi-Fi works.

Peaceful. No complaints. Friendly staff.

A clean room, prompt service, and a hot breakfast made this stay very enjoyable.

I have stayed here at lest 3 times in the last year and have been fine with it. The staff was OK, the breakfast is OK and the rooms is good. I guess they have made improvements since these bad reviews from 2 years ago.

+ The hotel & room were clean & tidy, the location is close to restaurants and other facilities, the staff was friendly & accomodating. I really think it is a good value for money.
