We stayed in room 123 on 6/21/2021. The counter clerk was pleasant and check-in was fast. The room was decent, and the bed was FABULOUS — the most comfortable I've ever slept on. I deducted a star for the gross, sticky carpet and another star for the A/C unit being mounted above the sink that required climbing up a chair to turn on. The property was cute with murals all over, and there's a BBQ/swing chair area. Grade: C.

We found bed bugs in our room when we arrived. 5/19/2021. Room 121 After we got our money back, they remade the room. :-/

Clean rooms, good parking, nice staff.

The rooms were clean and very affordable for a large family to get multiple rooms. We love staying in the old ranch motels like back in the day when we were kids on vacation. The owners are very nice and remodeled the entire motel and it's beautiful at night with all the neon glowing. It made our business trip with the family in tow seem like a vacation.

Cannot beat the price for how cozy and clean these rooms are, I will definitely save this place in my stays for my constant travels through this part of Texas!

We came for a barbed wire festival a town over, we stayed here for 3 nights. We were very pleased with our room it was large, very clean and well kept and the bed was comfortable that's always a plus! We will definitely stay here again next year!

This hotel is very nice. We have a large truck with a horse trailer, and we didn't have any problems parking. The room was clean and spacious. They let us fill our water buckets in the room to carry to the horses. It had a microwave, fridge, coffee pot and a large bathroom. I would definitely stay here again.

I give this place a 5 Star because of it's absolute cleanliness, Price and the helpfulness of the staff! We got in past midnight, and the keeper brought us more towels (not because we asked, but because he saw more people). I also liked the tile floor (VS carpet) because it felt clean without odor?!?

Clean room with mini fridge, microwave & small coffee maker. According to their website they price match but this was the cheapest I found in the area. Only a $5 pet fee. It was well lit up at night on a quiet street. Also definitely try Big Verns steakhouse down the street. Homemade food & delish girly drinks!

Probably one of the best places we stayed at all week. Clean room. Nice people. If you have seen the movie cars. They have really copied the setting. Will stay here again! Really friendly folks all around town.

Such a cute inn! Way exceeded my expectations. We were able to check in early. The rooms are spacious, clean, and nice. Very friendly and helpful staff. Such a quaint town. Make sure you stop by U drop inn. Looks exactly like it came out of the movie Cars. Such a cool note you can send postcards from there! Not tons to do in the town. Actually really sad, lots of empty buildings. But definitely should stop by and stay here for the night.

Rooms were clean and spacious. The price is right for the room. Kitchenets are available. So were toiletries. They did charge us twice but handled it quickly. I would stay here again and would recommend it.

Nice place to stay for the night we've stayed here the past three years going from Phoenix to Upstate New York. Clean and comfortable for a good night's rest the shower was old but once I got the plug up it worked fine. Air conditioner cools off the room nice easy just a on and off button on the plug. Owner in the office is really a nice pleasant man. No breakfast and no good restaurants nearby.

So far, so good. As long as we don't have any issues during the night, the five stars will stand!

Wad of hair from the last guest before me in the blanket. Dime sized hole in the blanket. Small bug in the sheet. Dirt swept in a pile behind the door. Stuff from the last guest left in the fridge. Paint missing from the wall and one lampshade falling apart. Furniture scraped up. The shame of it is that there is a lot of potential here. I could take 50 bucks and fix the issues with the room. Need to fire the maid though.

Very nice rooms, clean large very spacious. You are riding Route 66 I recommend you find his hotel. Trust me for the Oklahoma border on 66. Very pleasant people.

After 9000 miles on the road I found what looked to be a motel stuck in perfection of the 50s. Incredible price and very nice inside. A perfect final night on an incredible road trip.

For the price and just needing sleep and a shower, I would stay again. Air conditioner was very high and hard to reach. There was a coffee pot, but no coffee and a ceiling fan that could only be used with the light on. Room was large and comfortable.

Nice rooms for the price you pay. Towels smelt a little funny and if you stay even a minute after check out they will call you nonstop to leave.

Good value. My room for some reason didn't have cold water. So hot shower or burning hot shower was my option.

This is a great little find. Quite recently renovated. What they don’t tell you is Elvis Presley stayed here once! The bed is comfortable, the room is clean. A great throwback to the days when Route 66 was in its heyday.

Wow a historical motel from the 60' s. Not a lot of fancy fluff, but a nice motel. Nice clean rooms, comfortable beds and bid flat screen TV. Also microwave and fridge. Dog friendly. There is even a bar-b-q area with a porch swing. I'm glad I stayed and will stay here again on my return trip. Also very kind staff and really reasonable rates.

Usually not too picky, thought the place was fitting in such a quaint little town. The staff seemed friendly, and the price was great. Stopped in, and the chair had huge liquid stains on it, and there were a couple stains on the comforter, but the sheets seemed crisp and the rest of the room was fairly clean. The next day, I woke up with bites all over my body. We called to inform them that there were bed bugs, and they hung up on us. We werent asking for a refund, we just didnt want anyone else to go through an unnecessary bed bug situation, and they were horrifyingly rude. Also, the same people who own this motel are the same people who run the Econolodge in town, so it may be a good idea to look elsewhere. Bummed this didnt work out because it would have been a great deal, but I guess you get what you pay for.

We stayed there and there were bed bugs… I wasn't going to write a review but when I called to notify them she hung up on me. So stay here with caution. I really hope they clean before renting out again.

Quaint motel. Not a fabulous stay but not bad for a night while traveling. Room was not as clean as I would like.

Staff was polite, room was clean and updated. It's an older building but the room was nice. Quiet area. The bathroom area was freezing, but I had a small space heater that was perfect.

Nice, very basic motel. Family owned, family ran place. Check in went smoothly for us. Well kept and clean. Definitely an older place, but you can tell they do keep up with the care required. Clean, more than some of the chain hotels we've stayed in. Beds have older style spring mattresses, but were fairly comfy. Small fridge and small microwave. Small parking lot, but we had space for our yukon and uhaul trailer. For the price and the fact that our family of 6 could sleep comfortably (3 double beds), I'm pleased. Coming through again, we'd stay again.

Good rate quiet place clean comfortable room bad thing the a. C. / heater unit is set in the wall above the side counter by bathroom inaccessible for short people no way to reach controls without climbing up on counter and no place to get food late at night.

Great. Cheap. Clean. Not much hot water tho for the shower. The heater — AC is hard to reach.

During a vacation following bits of the Mother Road we stayed here. Very nostalgic with a good price and clean rooms. Thanks for letting us stay! Back again a couple years later and just as good maybe better!

I you are in Shamrock, this is THE place to stay! Rooms are clean, fresh, large and comfortable! The beds and pillows were amazing after a a long day on the road. My hubby especially loved the pillows and even took a picture of the tag so he can get one for home! Very sweet and friendly owners, dog friendly and affordable! If more people knew about this place, they would be so busy! Pass up holiday inn, and econo lodge, stay here instead!

For the price we didn't expect much, but found the air conditioner didn't work well and had to sleep in a hot and humid environment. Tv as well as Wi-Fi was very spotty and not dependable. Otherwise clean and nice shower. Housekeepers didn't appear to be too friendly.

Stopped overnight while driving across the country. Front desk was extremely friendly and even called the room to check that everything was good. Room was well kept with up to date electronics. There were no stains or worn areas. It was an unexpectedly fantastic little motel.

Very cheap, clean enough. No bed bugs, satellite tv. Ample parking with small trailer. Open late.

Rooms are big & roomy. Very clean. Smell good. Furniture new. Fridge with separate freezer on top. Low rates. Pet friendly, only $5 extra. Front desk owners/operators very kind, friendly & helpful. Will definitely stay again & I certainly recommend staying the=e.

The owner and his family are extremely friendly and accomodating. It's not a fancy resort but it's clean and offered anything you will need. These great people made us feel right at give. Can't wait to go back.

I got a good price from Travelocity on line. The room was good and I had great customer service. My only complaint is their pillows are terrible so bring your own.

After having some unexpected, late-night difficulty with the RV, we had to quickly find some lodging for two of us (and our small dogs). For the price, I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room and the parking lot. Hotel seems to be family-run, and they're doing a very good job. Thank you for an affordable, comfortable stay!

This motel is a real gem on Route 66. Clean, comfortable, quiet, large rooms, very close to I40, with a microwave and fridge in every room, and incredibly inexpensive. Free internet and cable with more channels than we had at any other hotel on our 13-day trip. Friendly staff and neat murals depicting the old Route 66. Just down the block from the U Drop Inn museum with electric car charging stations.

Recently renovated, perfect deal for the money — like an inexpensive Motel 6, only clean and with new furnishings.

Probably the best hotel that I have found on the road, I just look at the reviews and I decided to give it a try, the place is more than what you expect from the price, and extremely clean!

What a great place to stay, and the price is unbeatable! Newly remodeled rooms & bathrooms. Very nice update. Flat screen TV w/ direct TV guide. Room or bed or sheets dont smell. Cool murals painted on some walls. All in all, I will most definitely come here again if my travels ever bring me bwck through Shamrock, TX.

Clean recently renovated rooms. Some small stains on bedding and towels, but nothing worrisome or very noticeable. A little bright despite the room darkening curtains. Would stay here again.

Clean, updated rooms, very inexpensive, great service. The Route 66 decor is nice with the old Conoco station gift shop less than a mile down the road. Five star for an inexpensive (but completely updated) MOtel.

5 stars for this great mom & pop motel. If you are nervous about what you may be in store for, relax. Friendly check in; quiet, comfortable, completely current rooms; great price. Stay here and you will be patting yourself on the back for making a great choice.

Not a 5 star hotel by any means, but comfy and clean. Fan in bathroom didn't work, even still I didn't see any mold. The old man who owns this place was slightly hard to understand but he was nice enough. Rooms had TV, iron, and Wi-Fi but no coffee maker. Would recommend for budget travelers.

Cons: Front desk tried to charge me more than the rate. Very dirty sheets. Pillow cases smelled strongly of other person/people. Sheets were visibly dirty. Blanket had white crusty stains. Towels smelled bad. Scarey to walk around the neighborhood, starving dogs everywhere. Pros: They gave me new sheets.

Wonderful owners! Very polite and caring. New clean rooms! Loved the gazebo and swing! Made for watching thunderstorms and lighting! Will definitely stay here again.

Having groan up in Shamrock, I had no reason to stay in the local motels. Now that I have moved away, I have stayed at many of the Shamrock motels. The Route 66 Inn is by far the best value and cleanest rooms in town! There is also the Route 66 nostalgia! This motel is a great Route 66 throwback! While the rooms have been updated very nicely, the owners were able to keep the overall nostalgic feel of an original Route 66 motel. For those of you wanting to experience and travel old Route 66, the Route 66 Inn is a must stay.

This Motel is a gem! Myself and my husband stayed here on our route 66 road trip honeymoon. We were looking for a 66 motel that was mom and pop, and one of the older original route 66 motels. The owner Mike and his wife are the nicest people and made us feel very at home! The motel is very clean and the rooms have recently been remodeled. We love the old time feel this motel had. We will most definitely be back to stay when we come back to Shamrock TX.

Cute little hotel. Newly remodeled. Owner was nice, even let me take up four parking spots to park my truck and trailer. Our room was warmed up and looked nice. Big screen T. V, mini fridge, everything looked nice and new. Only issue we had was one of the pillows did not get changed. It was wrinkly and covered in black dog hair. All the other bedding was super clean and smelled nice. :) All in all, it was a nice place for a cheap, last minute stop.

Horrible place. Old rundown. Weren't in the room more than 5 minutes before we asked for a refund. The older man who runs this place is flat out rude and disrespectful.

It's okay. The place is owned and ran by a man and his wife and either his in-laws or his parents, he was a very nice and very helpful man but his wife and mother were very rude. Also, the older man, the morning of our check out we asked for a late check out and at seven in the morning he's unlocking and letting himself right into our room! Not cool.
