Moving across country and selecting hotels that are specifically pet friendly came across this Best Western in Shamrock, TX. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and provided very nice amenities such as, microwave, refrigerator, indoor pool, spacious, amazing breakfast and very nice lobby.
Paige at the front desk was very personable and provided recommendations for food delivery as well for the evening.
Very convenient off/ on location also from the interstate. And a gas station is right across the street along with a Taco Bell.

This place is awesome! We just randomly pulled off the highway as we are traveling West, and we had been loyal customers of another chain (they will get no free advertising here! ) but they have recently been bought by a larger chain, have changed the pet policy, the elevator was out of service (that motel is less than 3 years old) and is expensive. So we had great service at Best Western in Henderson last year, so we saw them when we pulled off the Interstate _ and I am glad we did. Not only is the whole staff extremely nice, the breakfast is the best of any motel we have stayed in. And as good as any 3 star hotel. And the room was half the price of the previous evenings' stay. Also, we travel with our pets, one one of which is 95 pounds. Highly recommend.

After two days driving from California with two dogs in the car we found ourselves in Shamrock Texas. They were nice, friendly and allowed dogs. The Hotel was in the second day of new management but Glenda at the desk accommodated our needs. The room was nice and clean and everyone was friendly and helpful. I recommend Best Western Plus and their great staff. The breakfast was better than the other Hotels we have been to. My Thanks to Glenda and Angela.

We had a really great stay here. The breakfast was delicious and the hotel in general was just very clean. Our room was nice and comfortable and the setup worked well for me and my 6 year old. We were only disappointed that due to the fact we had to get back on the road so fast we couldn’t use the nice pool. :) will definitely stay here again.

Best Weatern Plus Shamrock, Tx is always my first choice when driving from New Mexico to Nashville and beyond… always very clean and comfy with a lovely pool to stretch out one’s road weary body. Breakfast is like most which I never really expect to be great. Grab a yogurt and banana and move on. They also like my dog!

I stayed at this location several years ago and it has been completely remodeled. This is a much better hotel than it was. The pool and hot tub were at good temperatures and clean. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The night desk clerk at check in was a bit off and I've had better breakfasts, but overall it was a good stay.

We were given the only option of the “executive suite”. Sounds nice, but unfortunately it was not. The couch was broken so the cushions weren’t sinking in towards the center of it. There seemed to be a very mild attempt at updating it when it came to the counter tops but that’s where it ended. The shower has rust all around the metal thing below the faucet. Aside from dust on the bed frames it seemed clean. It wasn’t horrible I just wouldn’t stay there again.

We expected a nice, comfortable stay because it was a BW PLUS, and that is exactly what we got. Large room with nice, comfortable beds, well appointed bathroom and excellent breakfast. Also, easy access to I-40.

The staff was cheerful & friendly, despite the late hour of our arrival. The room was roomy & clean and the breakfast area was kept well-stocked & tidy. The location is close to the highway without being noisy at night. Will definitely be back if we ever traveling in the area again.

Nice rooms, great service at the front desk, good breakfast. Pet friendly, however there is no dedicated area to walk your dogs. Would definitely stay here again should the need arise.

Comfortable, clean room with small fridge, micro, free Wi-Fi, pet friendly. Much better hot breakfast than Home2 Suites by Hilton. I thought the bed was very comfortable. My husband thought it was too soft. Would recommend this hotel!

I stay at this Best Western Plus each year on my trips West and back home. Very friendly as well as pet friendly. Clean, awesome beds and great morning breakfast. I highly recommend it.

Very nice hotel, convenient to I-40, had very nice rooms. Be aware if traveling with a pet, this hotel does accept them but you must stay on the 2nd and 3rd floor. First floor has to be allergy free. At least, they have an elevator with bell carts to take your stuff to the room. Overall great experience.

The worst best western I have ever been to by far! Climate control in the room didn't work. Only 5 tables in the breakfast area for the whole hotel. Little to no water pressure in the shower. Uncomfortable bed and especially the sheets on the bed. Room was in poor repair… cracks running the entire height of the wall in spots. The TV in the room was over in the corner instead of across from the bed. Located in a dry county so don't expect to have a beer with supper. Just an overall bad experience!

Facilities were clean and breakfast was ok (lots of options, nothing notable). Pet friendly as well. Only issue was the angry, possibly overworked, night worker being rude to my husband.

Zero stars. We realized about thirty minutes (5:30 a. M. ) after we checked out of this hotel that my husband had left his new coat in the closet. I called the hotel and was told to call back after the day shift desk clerk showed up. I called at 8:15 a. M. This lady told me the manager would send us the coat COD. We agreed that was good. Over a week later after not receiving the coat, I called the hotel again, and was told by a gentlemen that the coat must have been mailed to us because it was not where forgotten items are kept. Today, 12 days later, still no coat. I called the hotel and talked to the same day clerk, who told me she personally checked our room right after I called the morning of March 8, 2018, and there was no coat in the closet. Maid service had not arrived for the day, according to what she told me today. Meanwhile my husband's new coat is probably being worn by one of their employees, a friend of an employee, or a family member of an employee. I left a message for the manager/owner to call me, but have not heard from him. We have stayed at this hotel numerous times going back and forth to Arizona, but never again. In addition to this problem our bathroom door would not shut tight, there was a huge amount of rust around the bath tub fixtures, and the bathroom floor needed a good cleaning. Hairs everywhere. We can no longer trust the staff.

There was no hot water. The clerk acted like she didn't believe me and was very rude about it. Otherwise a great stay.

Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was nice, roomy, comfortable. The bed was super comfy and hard to get out of in the morning. Breakfast was hot and delishis, eggs, bacon, sausage, muffins, waffles, cereal, bread, yogurt, milk and juice.

Enjoyed it all! They have a nice shuttle bus that will pick you up from the airport, with a courteous driver. They have clean rooms, and a hot breakfast.

Very clean rooms and friendly staff. Parking was very tight and limited, but overall very nice place. Quiet and soft beds. Good for the price.

Motel is quite and clean. Rooms are roomy everything you expect in a Motel they have. Eating places and service station are close. Easy on and off on I-40 no matter the direction you are traveling.

Very nice rooms, clean and spacious. Large bathroom, excellent water pressure in shower with plenty of hot water. Large flat screen TV, mini fridge, and microwave in room. Continental breakfast was fabulous! Very satisfied, highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.

Nice facility with a clean large room. We had a single king bed. The breakfast was good and the addition of flour tortillas allowed me to have a breakfast burrito, yum! Very consistant with other Best Western Plus locations.

This Best Western is in great condition. A good place for a stop, and be sure to check out the Historic Route 66 Conoco tower.

Reception was amazing and helpful with all my questions and requests. Clean rooms, super comfy beds, large bathroom, really nice pool and jacuzzi, and pet friendly We loved it!

Was going home from ARIZONA stopped late staff was very nice room clean and comfortable breakfast hot and delicious will stay again on my next trip through.

The guy that work night shift was alright a little rude. But the day shift ladies were excellent and the lady in charge of the breakfast was excellent also. The rooms were excellent-clean. Beds were comfortable. We couldn't get the kids Kindle Fires hooked up to the Wi-Fi. I would definitely stay there again.

Very clean room. Super kind personal. Good breakfast. However, what we really appreciate was that these folks went above and beyond for us. Forty-five minutes down the road, another driver motioned to us that The luggage carrier on our roof was open! We hadn't closed and locked it. The luggage was safe, but the garment bag with our family's more expensive clothing had blown out. We immediately turned around and headed back searching the roadside, knowing anyone could take our clothes at any time. After a bit, we called Best Western Plus-Shamrock and asked if any employees were about to get off work and could head out looking for the bag for a reward. They put their kind maintenance man in the phone who stated that he'd head out immediately. We kept looking and never saw it but upon arriving at the Best Western, our bag, which had been run over a time or two, was brought out and the kind folks refused to accept reward. Thanks for making our day, folks! You're awesome! Wish we had Maintenance Man's name!

Decent, polite and fit the bill for passing through. A bit worn in places, but pretty good rooms over all. Pillows as always suck. Shower head weak. It was quiet. Breakfast is nice. Note the juices were not tasting right. Not sure what that was about. Orange juice looked light brown rather than Orange. Staff were courteous and friendly.

Good solid place to stay. Still has a hot breakfast with eggs, gravy, bacon etc. It's got everything you'd expect even if your expectations are a little bit higher. Also recommend the little Mexican restaurant straight up the Main Street from it. Excellent and authentic, very important to me too. Overall a great value from both places.

Rude service. Passing through Texas and considered staying here. Went in with my family and asked to use the restroom. Front desk attendant was rude as we walked in and asked us what we wanted. Not a hello or can I help you? Are you checking in? None of that. Well, that told me that was not the place for me and my family to stay regardless of the way the rooms or hotel looked. I like friendly, quality service. I dont like rudeness.

Very friendly staff check-in and in the morning. Great variety for breakfast, and all hot. Rooms very clean, lobby and grounds. Indoor swimming pool was a plus. I saw guests with dogs and cats so they are pet friendly.

This place is great if you're traveling down I-40. The rooms are clean and well kept (going so far as to clean their remotes for each guest and put them in a cute dust sleeve that says "fresh remote"). The staff is friendly, and it is just barely off the interstate so you can find it easy and get back on the road quickly.

Love this hotel! The first year we drove from NY to AZ we happened upon it! Clean! No crawlies of any kind and they've upgraded the rooms over the last 4 years we have stopped here. There is a family style restaurant next door with great meals and the breakfast they serve is hot with lots of protein options not just carbs! Everyone is very friendly and the beds are pillow tops so very comfy and we can bring our cat for an extra fee of $10, not too pricey for the room.
