People are very friendly and helpful. Room was great. Clean and well maintained. Bed was comfortable. Nothing fancy but great after driving all day. Price was very good.

Stayed for a week. Reasonable price and staff is exceptionally nice and accommodating. Rooms are big. Rooms are somewhat dated but was clean. Easy pet access out back. Nice area. Would stay again.

Not only did they not have a room downstairs for handicap folks, when we walked the nigjt window there was a ceiling tile missing and obvious water damage. The room was not taken care of properly. They need help to get their standards back up.

Not a well kept motel 6. The lady at the front desk gave us a room with a broken taped window with a half way painted scraped door. Terrible place to stay.

My girlfriend and I loved this place! You can tell it used to be really nice and is now mostly unused but it's clean and private. It could be converted into something awesome. There's a lot of potential there. The employees are kind too.

So I generously gave this hotel a 1 star rating just because we had a place to sleep. This was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. First off, half the hotel is unused and the pool is not being utilized because they don't do enough business to maintain it. I booked a room online and when my husband and I checked in we realized we booked a smoking room. We don't smoke. They couldn't give us a non smoking room for whatever reason and ended up putting us in the unused/abandoned area of the hotel. It was awful but at least it didn't smell like cigarettes. Instead it smelled like bug spray. The paint was missing in patches and the carpet was dirty. We took cold showers. No Kleenex. No coffee pots. We only stayed 2 nights and paid for 3. We won't be going back. There are too many other nicer hotel's there in town. We visit often because are parents are there. So, I'll pick better next time!

Check-in personnel was very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. House keeping was great as well. Keep up the good work.

Not the best looking on the outside but don't let that fool you… The rooms are new and clean with a comfortable bed. Also it was cheap.

Nice stop on Route 66. Good value for the money and a huge room for under 50 bucks. Friendly staff and a charming town.

Play motel but Highway smell smoky. Secure with key from outside to Ender Hall. Nice management. With very good coffee in the morning offering strong or regular.

Well, the town was pretty much closed down at 5 pm on a Friday afternoon. There was extremely limited choices for dinner. The motel was just ok. The heater had no airflow, so we ended up having to clean out the air filters ourselves just to get a little air into the room. The location was convenient and the price was good.

Late at night visit. Was very clean room and very nice front desk person. Only down fall no ice was found to have drinks.

Convenient right off i40 and cheap enough but there's not much good to report… Room was in need of remodeling, stale odor, heater fan was weak and filters clogged, toilet flush was startling loud, bed was ok but blanket was skimpy making for a cold nights sleep. Shower was very good. Also note that the small town of Shamrock has its charm but a lot of businesses and food were closed after 5 PM or out of business probably due to lack of thru traffic, particularly along old historic Route 66… So this motel 6 is convenient off and on but you can expect an old room with problems.

It was ok overall the only thing was the ice container looked like someone puked in it. I just used the bag provided for ice. The beds were nice. The shower was hard to turn on. The water Would only get lukewarm.

Service was fine. But my experience was horrible. The bathroom in the main lobby had blood on the walls and the soap was a communal bar of soap. They only had smoking room. The first room smelled so bad, I requested another room. The second rooms door was jammed. There is an entire wing of this motel That IS abandoned. Horrible quality motel.

The staff was the most impressive part of our stay. The hotel is showing its age. Although it did provide the accommodations you expect from a budget motel. The best part of this chain is their no cost pet policy. This is the reason I choose to stat at Motel 6

You get what you pay for. We wanted a cheap place to sleep without paying for a lot of frills we won't use. The room was mostly clean; the bathroom had mold in places but everything was functional. No significant complaints for a budget hotel. We would consider staying here again if we come through the area.

On my cross country trip from San Diego to Ohio, this Motel 6 went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience. After leaving in the morning, they gave me a call saying my father in law had left his Apple Watch in the room. Kumar was nice enough to send it to our destination in Ohio, and he even paid for the shipping fee. That is what you call customer service. It's also right next to a car repair shop and some restaurants, and the bed and amenities were very comfortable. I highly recommend this place.

I would of give them 5 stars if the pool was open. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. To me our rooms looked just like they would of been at a hotel twice as much. I was very impressed with our rooms especially for what we paid. All of the staff that I came in contact with were all very kind and friendly.

The lady that checked us in was a very pleasant person and made you feel like she was part of your family. It was very comfortable and quiet, so we got a good nights sleep. We liked the low price. We found no bugs. Thank you. Room number 112.

The rooms are nice and it is peaceful here one of the better motel 6.

This was an odd little joint, and probably had it's hay-day more than a decade ago. We were given a room in the interior section, near the indoor swimming pool. The place reeked of old chlorine and cat urine — discovered there was a feral cat colony living inside the facility — made for some fun documentation. The room itself was nice, we had a king bed and everything was clean/in working order. The shower took just a tad too long to heat up properly though, but once it got hot things were fine. For an interesting experience and the cheap rate, would probably stop in again.

This was a really skeezy hotel. The hallway where the night window was located absolutely reeked of old stale cigarette smoke; the room's environmental control unit wasn't working, leaving the surfaces and fabrics in the room vaguely "moist;" and the light over the sink didn't work either. Did it meet my needs of a place to sleep? Yes, no doubt about it. Was it a nice place to stay? Not at all. Stay there if you are in desperate need of sleep; avoid it otherwise.

Was in texas. Rooms were very clean, good cable service, check in was faster than any other motel I've been too.

It smelled awful, I flicked a bug off of both beds, the window to the room was cracked and tapes over with packaging tape. The woman working the desk was nice though, that was the best part of the stay.

Completely disgusting place had a room near the pool walked into the building that had the pool to get to our room and it smelt like cat urine several stray cats wandering all over there were some plants inside that the cats had been using for a litter box the pool had cat hair floating on the top. The beds were made up fine the room had a musty smell and there was evidence of mold in the bathroom and lots of mold on the ceiling in the pool area. Honestly wish they didn't leave the light on for us. Will definitely not return there in the future needs serious over haul on the whole place!

Bathroom was moldy, faucets leaked all over floor, very little hot water, only good thing was the bed and pillows were comfortable.

Very nice front desk staff, welcoming and helpful. Brand new lobby so we were very hopeful about our room. The room was upgraded with new carpet, bedding, fixtures and furnishings. It was nice and large which was great for our two well behaved dogs. The only and surprising disappointment was the shower did not work at all. Word — check it out the night before! Still good value for the price.

Dump, dump, dump. Homeless shelter? Decided to stay anyway. Mistake. No water in the morning at all. No shower or flushing toilet in a. M.

This was the worst experience I've had with this brand. We checked in late in the evening to a very rude front desk agent who barely spoke beyond the required. Our room was very warm and the AC did not work correctly. In addition, the shower stall had mold spores on the ceiling. A very uncomfortable night in a very disappointing hotel. Why do they advertise their properties as new and renovated when it's the same old unhealthy flea-trap property?

I stayed here only overnight on my way to Arkansas. All hotels/motels along this route are above-average prices due to the interstate. I had to stay in the back section (smoking) because there were no single rooms available in the non-smoking. The room I had was adequate (despite the faint smoke odor) and I felt safe being there and it was clean with fresh linens. Face it. Most who stay at Motel 6 do so because it is pet-friendly with little restrictions and/or the price. Not because it is a luxurious place with a lot of amenities. So you get what you pay for. As long as Motel 6's are relatively safe and relatively clean and they accept pets that's all I expect. Some Motel 6's are better than others. It just depends on the location.

Front desk clerk was great. Room was filthy and littered with dead bugs. Bed was uncomfortable. No microwave or fridge (as advertised on the website). Every table and chair at the pool was broken. There were 5 of us in 2 rooms, and we got up way earlier than planned and left because we were so uncomfortable. I have stayed in many Motel 6's. I usually find them older but clean. And was grossly disappointed. Tom Bodette should turn this light off.

The indoor swimming pool was a nice surprise. It was large enough to swim laps without feeling as if I'm turning around every three seconds. The pool room was airy and beautifully decorated with live ficus trees and ground-cover plants. The room was nice too.

I stayed in the back building. Surprised that my room had newer drapes, paint and carpet! Bed was comfy and clean. I actually slept great! Bathroom older, ugly caulking and so on, but the rest made up for it. Surprisingly modern furniture for a motel 6. Someone is apparently making an effort here, and should be rewarded. I paid about $61, pricey, but I called around and that's about the cheapest it goes around here. They're all pricey. In the end I was happy with my stay.
