Manager Sonya and Arthur are the worst! I stated how inconvenient the bathrooms were and was told all of them were like that but yet their website doesn't state that you have to climb over the toilet seat to get into the bathroom before you can close door because door doesn't open all the way. Stating this to them and they still refuse to refund our stay even though they both admitted that there wasn't anything they could do to fix that issue because hotel needed renovations.

Great place to stay. There were a couple of problems but they fixed it right away! would recommend!

We booked our room here through hotels. Com which I’ve used many times with many different hotels but Hyatt Place failed to include the parking fee and the pet fee on hotels. Com then stated it was my fault I didn’t know because I should have checked their actual website. We paid the $17 parking fee and the $75 pet fee since it was getting late and my one year old needed a place to sleep that night just to be shocked when I checked my credit card statement and was actually charged $18.40 for parking and $88.66 for the pet fee. They didn’t not inform me that both of those charges also included taxes and more fees. We’re military so we have to travel with our dog all the time and have never paid tax on a fee like that. Especially not without being informed before hand. When I tried to call to find out why I was charged more than I was told I’d be charged (17 and 75) I was transferred to a very rude man that simply told me “that’s what happens when you travel with a dog. ” So in the end it cost our car and dog more to stay the night than my three family members cost. Also, as someone else stated on their review, our air conditioner wasn’t working when we arrived so our room was also insanely hot. I definitely don’t recommend this hotel unless you want to be charged for surprise fees just to learn there will also be an insane tax on those fees.

The fridge And Air conditioning were not cool at all! We left the room for several hours and when we came back it was still very warm!

The rooms are huge, beautiful, and very clean. The hotel smells and looks very clean. The pool and restrooms are clean as well. Our first impression is great. The front counter person was very inviting, helpful, and courteous.

Had a BLAST on my weekend getaway! The hotel was clean and nice atmosphere. Staff was helpful and super attentive. We had a perfect view of the river with a balcony. The beds were very comfortable. We will definitely come back to this hotel next time we visit. Also due to the protesters and riots this weekend we missed our dinner reservations but the amazing staff here cooked us up a tasty burger with fries and made us a few adult beverages to take to our room. It was sooo late but they had no problem making sure we got some great food and drinks. Roxanne at the front desk was super sweet and the manager was as well. We will stay here next time we return to visit San Antonio!

I would have given it 5 stars just for the staff alone. Art and Luis were very helpful and friendly. However, the bathroom is small, you have to stand in the shower to close the door. They know it and even put a sticker on the back of the toilet "The cost of a large room is a small bathroom" maybe a pocket door would be better.

The staff is wonderful. The toilet area is small, but I don't spend a lot if time on the toilet. The sink is outside the water closet so you can primp all you want. HUGE couch and desk area, very homey. I had a lovely view of the Hemisfair Tower. It is close to the residence area of the Riverwalk. Quiet and beautiful. Away from touristy atmosphere. Will be coming back.

Please note if you have asthma or allergies they do have an air freshener in the lobby but rooms have very little fragrance.

Love coming here. Starbucks downstairs, sometimes live music from their bar. The view is great from the patio, and you can park here for $5 to watch bats.

Good location. Clean rooms. Bed was a bit uncomfortable. Overall didn't live up to the luxurious description on its site. Also charged 15 a night for parking. I felt way overcharged for what I got. Wouldn't be bad place to stay for half the price.

I really enjoyed staying here. Good location to lots of things yet far enough to be quiet and family intimacy. My family visited us there everyday. We would sit it the lobby for a bit. Hang in my room for a bit. Just was a great stay for us.

It was clean, housekeeping was great, and did not have a problem with management. The problem was the extra fee for parking! $15 per day plus taxes, it's not even a covered parking, anybody can park there, so is not like your vehicle is protected. When I called them to book they did not tell me about parking and it would have been nice because if that was the case I would have looked for somewhere else. We walked in to check in and they tell us about it, well what can we do now we were here and if we cancel there is a fee for cancelling. We spent $50 on parking and we weren't even at the hotel at all because we were visiting.

Was the worst experience I've had at a Hyatt hotel. The room was not clean. Hair all over the restroom walls and shower area. The television had little to no reception. Kept getting locked out of the room. Key card kept resetting. The balcony door would lock you out cause the door was messed up. Also the pool wasn't maintained properly.

Very clean room. The staff was excellent! We could walk right out the back of the hotel and right onto the river walk. It was just a couple of minutes walk to the busy part of the river walk. I will definitely stay there again!

We really like the Hyatt Place right on the river walk. The front desk is wonderful helped us upgrade to the river view. Easy to park $15 per car per night. The bottled water on arrival is great.

The staff is wonderful and the front desk clerk not only helper us find an absolutely amazing restaurant he also told us a short cut to the convention center we had an event at that was a 8 minute faster walk. The rooms are awesome and very spacious and very very clean.

Beautiful view. Clean rooms. Overlooks the river walk. Was able to walk on the sides of the river and access prime locations. The St. Mary's Church, AMC are walking distance from Hyatt place. Over all a great stay.

Nicely located if you want to get away from the crowds on the Riverwalk but still easily walkable to main Riverwalk, Convention Center and up and coming dining/drink options in Southtown area.

Marcus, Jr, Art and Veronica were EXTREMELY helpful and very nice to work with, while staying at the Hyatt Place. Rooms were great and had enough room for us. Bathrooms were a bit tight, but we survived that. Greatly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast in the mornings were delicious!

I Stay here 4 night and the TV Is like from the 2001 becasue quality is so bad. Thats not the only bad thing, the bathroom dont have air vent so the while bathroom small like poopXD.

Everything so far was great, there is access to the River through the back of the Hotel, and everything around is with 15 minutes of Walking around. The parking space is NOT FREE as is being advertised on the Hotel web side, there is a charge of 15.00 per day definitely a downside, however everything else is very comfortable and convenient, Breakfast is actually very good just few options available but it was fresh and good.

Only reason I wouldn't give a 5 is because the room needs some maintenance items. Other than that, great experience. Very friendly staff!

We stayed there for new years eve. The service at the front desk was great. They we very helpful and recommended some great local restaurants to eat at. We were even able to see the firework show from the front of the hotel which was a nice way to avoid crowds.

I recently stayed at this hotel for business. After returning I noticed I was charged for my room as expected. There was also a seperate charge for $644.46. I called the hotel, spoke to a couple different customer service agents to try to resolve the issue. It seems that my credit card was charged for both my room and someone else's. On October 17th I was told that a refund of that money would be issued. I received no further contact from Hyatt on this issue until I sent them another message asking for an update. Their reply simply stated that they would contact me when they have additional information. 15 days is an unacceptable amount of time to have to wait for money that was taken from me. Hyatt customer service can reference message reference numbers: MSG0029447315, MSG0029455860, MSG0029458176, and MSG0029711073. Or you can continue to ignore this issue and I will go ahead and dispute the charge as it seems I will have to do do anyway. Thanks.

Hotel was nice, quiet, & clean. Great location. Very friendly staff. I liked it as it is a bit off the action of the river walk, and thus quiet. Only 10 min walk all along the river, to heart of river walk, so location is perfect.

The location was ideal for our girls weekend at the River walk. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was small and the door would hit the toilet when closing. The staff was friendly and accomodating. Breakfast in the morning was a nice treat.

I would have given 5, but the beds were not all that comfortable. Call me particular if you like, you don't have my back, lol! The staff were awesome, the guests were awesome, at least the ones I spoke with. Right off the river walk which was beautiful. Just a 15 min walk to most attractions.

My complaints would be regarding distribution of the room itself, we requested a double room for 4 adults and a baby and got Full size beds, the bathroom area is also very small so much that you cannot open or close the door if sitting in the restroom. Parking was also $15 additional per night which was not clearly stated in the website. This place has the potential to be so much better if these issues were taken care of…

You can literally walk out the back door to get on the riverwalk! The room has been clean and fresh everyday. The outdoor pool is a good size. Also, the staff is extremely polite and friendly.

Quiet, clean, and convenient to everything. Disappointed by the $15 a night parking fee. No on site laundry facilities if you are staying long term. Maybe not the best choice for someone working a few weeks, but great for a short vacation. Staff is friendly and attentive.

Disappointed so far. Have had this week booked for months, I marked online when I booked the room and called to make sure that our room was feather/down free because our kids are severely allergic. Got to the room and EVERYTHING was feather. Then when I called to the front desk they stated it would be 40 minutes before they could switch out everything. Then when room service came all he did was bring 2 new pillows. There's 4 of us in the room with 5 feather pillows and a feather blanket. When I told him everything had to be swapped out he seemed annoyed. Then when we pulled the sofa bed out the sheet was disgusting. Called down to the front desk and again they seemed put out to have to bring a new sheet. Not impressed at all. No one said sorry, or offered to help fix the situation. We always stay Hyatt and probably won't stay here again.

Negatives: The bathroom is ridiculously small (opening the bathroom door leaves no space to stand), and the sofa bed is too close to the door. Also the walls are very thin. Positives: the location is good, it is right next to the river. The pool is nice, and the staff is friendly. Service is good.

This is an ok Hotel, I am very disappointed in the fact that they charge 15.00 a day to park… Seriously I am disabled and have to pay to park in a hotel that I already pay to stay in, … I am not being mean but I have stayed in Best Westerns and they were much nicer for less and Breakfast was huge! And I did not have to pay to park… Just seems unfair to have to pay for parking when you already pay a good price for what you receive anyway…

We stayed over the weekend and thought the hotel was great. The breakfast in the morning was good with nice variety. It was crowded but they opened an extra room for overflow. Rooms were a nice size and appeared to be re done, somewhat recently. It is located on the Riverwalk, but not the "main" part of the walk, so it is not high trafficked.

Nice hotel that is away slightly from the crowded Riverwalk sections. However, busted microwave, freezing TV channels, pet friendly next occupants, bad Wi-Fi speed did give us some unhappiness for our 3 night stay. However, the friendly staff, free parking and free breakfast made up for that. Would be willing to stay here again.

The place is at reach of everything, you are at walking distance to the Riverwalk and downtown, the place is clean and the room was spacious, king bed room Riverwalk view with sofa bed. It has a fridge, but no micro reason of the 4 stars. It had also a desk in case of need. The other bad issue is that there is not enough space to put your clothes away as drawers. It has a closet but is kinda small. The bathroom is nice, but at least in our case we never found the extractor switch, and we never asked about it. And they don't leave enough shampoo. There is complimentary breakfast, which is a good American breakfast with bagels, muffins, cereal, fruit, toast, yogurt, milk, tea, coffee and juice. But there is not enough space to accommodate all the patrons. You should wait or take it to your room. However, I would stay again on this hotel, the staff is very friendly.

This is the second time I've stayed at this particular hotel and I love it! It is conveniently located on the Riverwalk. Although not in the high traffic area of the Riverwalk, it's close enough to still enjoy the area. It's clean, staff is friendly and the rooms are very nice for the price. I highly recommend this hotel especially for families because of the ability to sleep 4-6 in a room.

It was really busy when I arrived, but the staff seemed to be handling the event with ease. Everyone was very courteous, no delays. I will gladly visit again.

My only complaints with this hotel are concerning the Wi-Fi and a minor complaint of the free breakfast. I couldn't watch dunkey videos over the Wi-Fi, and the breakfast was sadly lacking nachos. In addition to the breakfast lacking nachos, the pancakes served were microwaved ones you buy in stores. Sadly, my Inidans (vegetarianos) did not have many options and were limited to an egg sandwich and donut. During my stay, I was happy to see that an ice machine was provided. I ran into a janitor at the ice machine, but he left me undisturbed, which really means a lot, given the economy these days. I was even happier to see that the utility closet was left open, and there was plenty of wall space and a bucket of broken glass. I left that closet a changed man, and for the better. The bucket inspired me to convert to Buddhism, and I've been able to make a positive impact on my community. I'm now traveling to Tibet, to study with the monks, and I only hope I can find a hotel of the same quality as this one. Thank you very much Hyatt Place, you've transformed me into a better person. Even still, my stay was further improved by the availability of conference rooms, where my "friend" (I say this because he recommended me a horrible restaurant, at which I was stood up, and then he brought his boyfriend) was able to set up a wii. We even discovered a secret room, where we contemplated the possibility of holding secret meetings for secret agents.

Our stay here went well. The room was very nice, service was good, and the free breakfast was excellent and had a nice selection. The only problem experienced was that I could sometimes hear the traffic, especially the bigger vehicles, as our room was facing the street. The proximity to the river walk was really nice. You just walk out the backdoor and you are on it, and the resturaunts and shops were only a 10 or so minute walk down the path.

I usually have nothing bad to say about Hyatt Place. The room was nice. Breakfast was free and tasty. The only problem was the birds outside. They seriously have some problem with a large flock of birds living in the tree next to the lobby. They are vociferous all night long. They actually kept me up at one point in the night and I'm a heavy sleeper. Make sure you ask for a room away from the birds.

We reserved a group block here during our wedding weekend and we were very pleased with the hotel. From the time we booked our reservations to the time we departed our stay, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The premises were very clean and we liked the spacious rooms, convenient parking, and continental breakfast. No microwave or fridge in our rooms. It's in a prime location to be close to downtown restaurants, bars, and attractions.

I'm going to give this review a 5 star on 2 principles and those being the value of the room for it's location and how quiet it is. The hotel is about 2 blocks from the back of the convention center. It was about 10 minutes walk depending on the lights and traffic. While it technically is on the riverwalk, it's not on a main part. It's a very short and direct walk to the main loop though. The only things I found negative are really just little things. The tub is really high. I stubbed my toe twice getting into it. There are no microwaves in the room l even though it has a refrigerator and a kitchen sink. The breakfast was above average but my Apple juice was definitely watered down from a concentrate.

The 9nly thing here 8s a clean room. Breakfast aweful. No. Microwave in room. Bathroom small. Walt to Riverwalk is 10 minutes. I am never coming bzck.

We were stuck in a first floor accessible room, with a bed smaller than the king we booked. The room layout is backwards and you can barely call the bathroom functional. When showering the water just flows over the entire floor since there isn't a lip or edge to contain the water. The shower head is way too low for someone over 6 ft tall. The toilet barely flushes unless you hold the handle down. The toilet also continually refills itself. Assuming it hasn't been serviced in a long time. There is a dorm size refrigerator in the room that is one of the loudest I've ever heard. Our room is also situated next to a staff room that has a lot of early morning traffic. The staff like to slam doors and that makes this even less pleasant. I asked if there was a possibility of changing rooms and they offered a double bed room since they "over sold" their king rooms. This is not what I expected when I booked my room here. The reviews were so much better than our experience. The staff are friendly and the hotel is clean. Other than that, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone else. I will not be staying here again.

Hotel has a nice location along the southern portion of the Riverwalk. Less than a 10 minute walk from the main stretch. Room was nice but the bathroom was small. Breakfast was pretty crowded but was kept well stocked. Free parking is definitely a plus.

The rooms were as expected from Hyatt Place. The balcony was a nice surprise. Close walk to the Riverwalk area with access to the river directly out the back door of the hotel. Nice included breakfast. Parking was free in a nice large lit as well.

I greatly enjoyed my stay at this Hyatt location. The rooms were clean, complimentary breakfast was delicious. The only downside was that there were a lack of outlets in the room I stayed in.

Clean room, decent bed, decent shower. That's pretty much all I ask of a hotel / motel. The price is reasonable, the parking free, but in spite of "riverwalk" in the name it's not all that near the part of the walk where all the restaurants and shopping are. Not too far a walk, though. If you're in reasonably good shape, you can walk to many of the city's attractions. The free breakfast, as at most hotels and motels, is worth just about what you pay for it, though. And the free Wi-Fi is pretty darn slow, and totally unsecured.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was large, clean, price was reasonable, and staff were friendly and wonderful. Will absolutely stay there again!

My wife and I came to SA for a 3-day getaway. This Hyatt Place was a very nice stay. Right on the river and a few minutes walk from Downtown. Recommended highly if you want a nice room at a good rate.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for my birthday weekend. We thought the hotel was reasonably priced for the location and were pleased. However during our stay, a maid stole my Amazon Kindle e-reader out of our room. I brought it to the attention of the hotel management and was put through a grueling two week process. In talking to their insurance company, the device was covered under the hotel's own deductible. Finally, I heard back from management stating there would be NO REFUND given on our room, and NO REPLACEMENT on my stolen Kindle. I encourage everyone to use EXTREME PRECAUTION when considering this Hyatt. The management is rude and unprofessional, along with the fact that your belongings are not safe.

My husband and I went to this hotel for a getaway week-end. From check in all the way to check out the staff was amazing. We had the complimentary breakfast and it was beyond good and the selection was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
