To call this hotel a five star hotel is a stretch. This place both lack the facilities and the service mindset to be able to claim five stars. I have been in 4 star accommodations with superior facilities and level of service compared to the Mondrian. First of all, the hotel doesn't have a functional kitchen. That means no room service, and NO breakfast. Although I was supposed to have a continental breakfast included in the USD400 room rate, they only offer coffee and tea in the lobby. You receive a voucher for 10 dollars that you can use in a breakfast joint around the corner. Only problem is: 10 dollars won't get you very far. It only covered a cup of coffee and an orange juice in my case. The room itself is big for NYC standards, but very underwhelming when it comes to level of "luxury". The first thing you will notice is that the nice hardwood floors from the pictures on BOOKING. COM are in fact carpet. The bathroom is unpractical and gets soaked every time you take a shower. The towels are small and not the luxury bath towels you come to expect at this price level. The room comes with a minibar, but no glasses to enjoy your drinks. During my 3 nights staying at the hotel, the minibar was never restocked. At this price level, I expected to find a coffee and tea maker, but there are none. No ironer either. In it's marketing, the Mondrian will let you know that hotel include a roof top terrace bar, a club in the basement and a restaurant.

This hotel has been an absolute NIGHTMARE from the moment we walked in. I’ve been waiting to post this just to let my anger calm down a bit. We supposedly got an “upgrade” from our superior king room, to whatever tiny tiny room this is that is hardly a Queen bed. Upon getting into the room/bed THIS is what we found. A LITERAL BLOODY CUM STAIN?! Are you serious?! When we called the front desk to tell them, the guy on the other end of the phone said “LOOK! It’s 11:30 at night, you got in late and we don’t have other rooms. ” Yes, we did get in late as we called the day prior to let them know when our flight was arriving so they would know to expect us later than checkin. What a joke! Not to mention, the website says coffee/breakfast, when I called the front desk to ask them about it, I was told that’s not an option but I can have a breakfast voucher. This is completely unacceptable.

Beautiful atmosphere lounge is great. Staff is awesome. Room is nice.

Their hotel rooms are unsafe. Part of their furniture fell off and hurt my child! Their response was to comp one night of the stay! Unbelievable!

Mondrian Park Avenue have disappointed me massively. Their customer service is absolutely shocking, they have charged my card on checkout and completely decline it. Their customer service is shocking and have very incompetent people at the reception. They have overcharged my card by over £500.00 and have refused to refund it. They have ignored my calls and emails. I also had my fiend go to them personally asking them to recheck and they have promised her they will sort out the errors at their end. It’s a shocking, they are nightmare to deal with and they have also not come back to any emails or phone calls. Be careful, they retain your card details and overcharge you on checkout and don’t refund you. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go through this unsatisfying and unprofessional experience. New York has other fantastic hotels that are value for money and service.

I’ve stayed here a few times, nothing exceptional or horrible so never posted a review. I’m staying again during WorldPride, we have one of their big suites and although the room is beautiful, it’s so user-unfriendly. I think the architect and designers were drunk when they made the plans. The room is huuuuge but the bathrooms are closets, the sofa is beautiful but I think sitting on a rock is more comfortable. Speaking of rocks, they have no couches in the lobby but rather a big rock you can sit on (not joking). The AC temperature is either meat locker or oven. Now let’s get to the fun part, housekeeping. I might as well do it myself. They didn’t change the wine/water glasses, left soiled ones in the room, no replenish of shampoo/soaps, only 2 bath towels, they left a blanket on the floor, they didn’t vacuum, the list goes on. This is not a 5-star property, would qualify more for 3 stars based on the service level.

Number one it’s the Mondrian, I stay at the Mondrian in Hollywood all the time, my first time in Mondrian NY and I am 100% pleased with my stay here, can’t wait to return, Cleo the restaurant food and service was great!

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a bad hotel. But is it worth the premium it commands? I’m not sure. It’s got none of the spark of the London Mondrian. For the money, I’d be looking at Standard, Ace or Nomo. Staff were great. AC in the rooms is noisy enough to disturb sleep. Park Ave location is spot on if you’re working nearby.

First time to New York and our visit was very pleasant. The hotel is gorgeous, especially the outdoor lounge w spectacular views in the daytime or night. The staff was super friendly, the front desk guy Hector Matute had such a positive attitude and went above and beyond to make sure my family and I were happy. The Bellboy Jonathan Guzman was such a gentleman, he was always there to hold the door open every night w such a warm smile and recommended a great restaurant called Street Tacos after the hotel restaurant closed. I had the best Tsunami margarita there that was half Sangria, yum! We had two rooms and if you happen to get a corner room it has more windows and also a window in the bathroom! You should request a room LIKE THIS because the other room only had one window and very little walking space. WOULD DEFINITELY go back again❤️

For my first time in NYC, it was very comfortable. The location is perfect for all the Broadway shows I went to see and to go to any tourist attractions. Customer service was a bit of a hit and miss at times. They were great when it came to me being trapped in an elevator for 30 minutes. The employee Paul was trapped along side me and he was making sure I was ok and even joked with me later about the whole ordeal. I didn’t care for the restaurant that was attached to the hotel, but the food and bars in the area are great!

This modern and luxurious hotel is located in the heart of midtown Manhattan. It is absolutely stunning with impeccable staff and service. It is the perfect place to host guests for a business conference or a large group event. Before I continue, I would like to personally thank Esther S. And Jennifer Z. For their kindness and hard work to make this all possible. The owners and managers of my company were overjoyed and cannot wait to return to this fabulous hotel in the near future. Our time at the Mondrian Park Avenue was outstanding and it delivered a seamless customer experience. Esther and Jennifer went above and beyond and I can't thank you enough. My company is located on Park Avenue, just 10 blocks away from the Mondrian. I reserved over 30+ rooms for our annual international conference and could not be happier with my selection. I have never received so much positive feedback on the hotel choice for our company events. All owners and managers of the company I work for were absolutely THRILLED with the Mondrian Park Avenue! The rooms are absolutely beautiful and the staff is lovely. The rooms are clean and spacious with gorgeous views of NYC. In addition, I highly recommend checking out all of their amenities. The amenities such as the roof deck, bar & lounge, gym, boardroom, etc. Are beautifully renovated and the restaurant inside the Mondrian called CLEO is delicious! Everything about the Mondrian Park Avenue is PERFECT.

Room was really nice and clean. Beds were not the most comfortable but we survived. They didn't give us any conditioner in the shower which was a little annoying… I didn't notice until I was showering so I couldn't exactly ask for any. The equinox pass was really nice as was the free drink. Although service at the rooftop bar was awkward. When we visited, several staff were hanging out at the bar talking (cursing loudly which I think is pretty unprofessional). It felt like we were interrupting when we tried to order our drinks. Would definitely not go back to that bar, but o would stay in the hotel again.

My first time stay at the Mondrian was everything the reviews were saying about this beautiful hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Extremely helpful. Their service is A1 top notch! We booked through a third party booking site and upon arrival our room was ready which was rather early about 9AM. The fees that may be talked about in the reviews are for the restaurant The Cleo that is in conjunction with the hotel so the drinks and food on the rooftop lounge is what is included in the $28-29 a night stay. So please go to the rooftop and enjoy the drinks you will definitely pay for regardless if you get the drink or not. The room and bathroom was very very nice more than comfortable beds nice TV and the room we were in had plenty of mirrors which helped while getting ready. The shower is more upscale than most hotels. The lighting in the room was great. I wouldn't expect less from a four star hotel. The accommodations were wonderful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in the Theatre District and on Park Ave S. It is close to the subway. Only thing that was challenging and not very challenging its easy to figure out but the name of the hotel is not on the side of the building or on the front anywhere it is higher up where you cannot see it and it is on a one way street I believe so getting there may put you on the right hand side of the building which isn't bad.

I traveled for work and enjoyed my stay at Mondrian for a week. My room was modern and fabulously decorated. It is true what previous reviews have stated that there are no ironing boards in the room. When I needed to iron I called front desk and they had someone bring an iron up in less than 10 minutes along with the ironing board. One day, housekeeping did not replenish the lotion. I had taken the lotion from the day before with me to the office and left it there. I called front desk in order to ask for another lotion, and they sent someone up with two lotions and a big smile. I had some dessert leftovers from when I went out to dinner and forgot the utensils. You guessed it! I called front desk and someone from the kitchen brought me utensils with a smile. Every time I went in or out, they had someone holding the doors. It is clear to me that Mondrian strives for Excellent service. In my case, everyone from the minute I walked in to the minute I left was amazing! The experience was everything you hoped for when traveling. Extremely clean and they treat you like royalty.

The hotel is very nice with the best views of Park Ave! The rooftop lounge was great with surrounding views of the city.

Staff: Very attentive and welcoming.
Room: Spacious, (as far as NY hotels go), smartly decorated. Bathroom: Immaculate, great size shower with two shower heads — a regular and a "rain" shower head.
Cleo restaurant: Delicious and plentiful breakfast with many different choices as well as great healthy choice plates. Dinner: salmon kabob and filet kabob — superb with accommodations by the chef on a side dish regarding lactose sensitivity.
Bar/patio top floor: Had a great, chill vibe.
Would recommend. Would definitely return.

Easily the greatest hotel I have ever stayed in in NYC without a doubt. Room was spacious and comfortable — not the closets I have stayed in in other NYC hotels. Staff was delightful and truly seemed to care about their guests — again, something I have rarely experienced in other NYC hotels. It is 100% worth its price — the happiest I have ever been in a NYC hotel and I will never stay at another hotel in NYC—every time I stay overnight in NYC, The Mondrian Park Avenue is where you will find me. Thank you to the entire staff for making us feel so welcome and taken care of.
