Just got back to the UK from having a weekend in New York, and staying at The Roger, would highly recommend staying here, the room was very nice, the staff were lovely and very helpful, great amenities. Walking distance from loads of shops, to site seeing iconic and famous buildings.

The hotel, the staff and everything was absolutely impeccable. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you to everyone at The Roger.

Stay with caution This is a good hotel and on great location too. Rooms are spacious and clean. All staff are friendly and ready to help.
Be cautious of Louis Gross a Manager at reception who can insult you without a thought for doing his job specially if you are not a US resident and give him loose coin to pay towards the bill (he hates counting) but I feel it’s better for coin to go in till instead of tips as you can give tips in notes … I recommend the Hotel to send their staff on hospitality training and offer them therapy sessions to overcome what ever anger issues they have.

Stayed for a week in early June 2019, lovely boutique style hotel, stylish decor and extremely helpful and friendly staff. They make a great Manhattan too.
We booked via Booking. Com, Wi-Fi was free, free tea and coffee in the mornings. Only small gripe was the room was a bit smaller than the photos would make you think and some of the common areas are now getting a little worn, but overall it’s a great location, beds were very comfortable and I’d definitely stay again.

This place has cockroaches! Unsanitary and definitely not 4 stars. Temperature in the room could not be controlled and was set to uncomfortable 78F. Not worth the money and definitely not worth jeopardizing your health sharing it with cockroaches!

The Roger New York was the best. The staff were so amazing and accommodating. The hotel was pretty centrally locates and close to all the sites. Will definitely be staying here again.

My favorite hotel in ny. I call it home away from home. I've checked into other hotels just to check out and go back here.

The Roger is a quaint little hotel on the Lower East side that is nicely tucked just below midtown and above Madison Square Park. The rooms are good, the service is good, and the area is super accessible. If you can get a good price, this is a great place to stay.

Paying facility fee and tax for 39 dollars per day is not reflected in the service received.

I loved everything about The Roger. The service, staff and hotel was wonderful. I will definitely go back. The only thing I can complain about is that the room lacked lighting.

Stayed here 4 nights. King bed was very comforatable and our room was quiet. Location was good. Made it to wine hour one day but did not like the wine because I am a snob. Would come back if there was a deal.

Only went for drinks at the bar upstairs. Quiet little place with small bites and a full bar. Had a great beer special so I stopped in. Great and friendly service.

The Roger is an extremely charming boutique hotel in a great location. By NYC standards, my room was really spacious with good soundproofing to silence the city outside and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Bathroom is small but they make good use of the space with very nice finishes. The workout room has all the basics, but one complaint is that the hotel needs to invest in a gym wipes stand in addition to the towels to ensure cleanliness. Nice touches like free coffee, tea, and wine at happy hour along with a great staff made this hotel an oasis in the chaos of Manhattan.

Cute boutique hotel with lovely lobby and convenient location. The rooms are small and not very comfortable. We could hear people scream and laugh till late at night in the rooms next to us (possibly above us). It was very noisy and didn't feel very clean. The staff however was lovely, welcoming and helpful.

Nice to good looking room. Smelled of smoke. The front desk at night is snooty. The morning employees were so great.

Great hotel, in a great location with really friendly and helpful staff. The hotel feels relaxed and boutique like. Rooms aren't big but the beds are really comfortable and the decor is stylish and finished to a high standard. No tea or coffee making facilities in your room but free tea and coffee available in reception daily.

Good hotel on Madison Av, in a central area that has easy access to lots of restaurants. Hotel rooms are well kept. Gym is very basic and breakfast is only buffet but somehow limited options in my view.

Stayed here for my first time in NYC. As national hotels go the rooms are not impressive. Small "cozy" rooms. The beds are good, the public areas are good and it is right on Madison Ave. If you like going out, this place is great. If you'd rather give humans a pass and hole up in the room… Maybe check out somewhere else.

Remodled old hotel with a charming lobby and restaurant. Beds feel old, though, and there aren't blackout curtains. (that's a thing?! ) Also there are only two tiny elevators, so feel prepared to wait. Night staff is really great (TyTy, in particular). AM staff, other than the doormen (who are awesome), can't seemed to be bothered, though. Ps. Morning coffee services ends at 9am, so get up early on your vacation.

Loved it. Great service; discrete and discreet staff; all the guests were like an assassin on vacation. A great combo of full service and 'you're a grown up & you can handle it. ' I had a great time. The Parlour is a little bit and miss but I liked it for the people watching and atmosphere. Great location if you need to jet uptown or downtown.

The hotel has an excellent location.
The bathroom is a little small for a room of four. The staff is very friendly.

The first impact just walked into the lobby was very positive, once in the room we found problems with the heating which did not work. Called the front desk, being on December 24th and most likely the staff was reduced, they provided us with a heater. The following day after reporting the constant discomfort, they proposed to change rooms and we accepted. The room was with a window overlooking a wall and the bathroom had no forced air. The prices of the minibar (preposterous) and tea served in the lobby are not always available. Breakfast we preferred to make it out because it comes $30 apiece. The Elevators (2), you have to have a lot of patience X to get them. A tip to the staff: clean well the outside door of the Hall is unwatchable! A positive note at the reception there is an Italian guy (I'm missing the name) very helpful.

Nice boutique hotel near Empire State Building. Front staff great and helpful. 4 stars due to tiny bath room and off site self parking. 2 doormen also very helpful, one showed me how to use Uber app when hi rise buildings block gps signals. Also, complimentary wine at 4 pm in lobby very civilized.

Beautiful Hotel. Modern and elegant.

The hotel overall was quite cute, with a very convenient location. However what was very disappointing was that after we had to miss the first night because of a cancelled flight, there was "nothing they could do" to refund the room as we hadn't given them 24 hours notice… I guess we should have been able to predict that the day before? Definitely expected better customer service for how expensive it is.

Nice boutique hotel near Flatiron. Beautiful lobby with high ceilings. Penthouse suites have access to the rooftop. Friendly staff and good service.

I recently stayed at the Rogers for work and I had a wonderful stay. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. I was welcomed from check in to check out. My bed was comfortable room was nice and big not huge but it’s just right. Breafest Is serviced until 12 noon and Food is delicious. I would highly recommend The Roger Hotel to anyone. Thank you Yahaira for organizing a beautiful stay and making us feel at home. Thank you Jesus.

Great location and lobby area is super stylish. However rooms are pretty standard (though clean and modern), and the main focus seems to be to encourage guests to spend money at the overpriced minibar: for the price of the room, a complimentary bottle of water on arrival or some tea or coffee making facilities would have been a nice welcoming touch, rather than having to pay $10 for a bottle of water.

Its location is strategic, close to places to visit, the site is very cozy, I take a good impression and good memories of the Roger.

I had a fantastic stay. My room is very comfortable, with lovely decor, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's also in a great location. There are lots of things to do and brilliant restaurants in the local area. I would definitely recommend The Roger to a friend.

A little small, but overall great service and experience. The air conditioners are a little loud and run all the time. They have a free glass of wine at happy hour, free coffee in the morning, and free berry tea in the afternoon.

Nice hotel in a great location in NYC. Common areas (lobby, bar, breakfast room, etc. ) very stylish, chic and promising. Rooms don't quite hit the same level — pleasant and comfortable, but some are quite small and don't offer much more than an average American corporate hotel experience. Breakfast nice but expensive.

The only reason it doesn't have 5 stars! Everything is paying even the toothbrush. It's a little intense, very expensive lunch. But it is well located!

Location is very convenient. Good services. But there is additional facility fee that guest should beware of before coming other than your room booking. In general, It's a great place stay at during your time in NYC.

We booked the Empire terrace room and were really disappointed that it didn't remotely match the picture on the hotel website. Very misleading. Also, there's a mandatory charge for things like the internet and morning coffee. Most hotels of this calibre provide the small touches for free. Over all, we felt like we were being ripped off. The bar lady was amazing though, and the manager did refund the mandatory fee when we pointed out that it included a weekday "reception" and we were only staying the weekend. We were also given a small reduction in the room rate. Still, it was a very expensive way to see the Empire State Building lit up for Memorial Day. I expect more of a boutique hotel.

My review is almost 4 months overdue, but I would like to say thank you to The Roger Hotel. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful, relaxing and comfortable romantic stay over the Christmas 2016 weekend at this luxurious, boutique-style property. The rooms were modern, stylish, trendy and immaculate. Very clean, spacious (for New York City) and quiet, both in the main areas and inside the room. The decor suited both my partner and I perfectly. For me, I found our room to be very Blair Waldorf/Gossip Girl/Upper East Side trendy which I love. Yet, it was also perfectly suitable for those, like my boyfriend, with more masculine, refined, classic tastes, with its rich, dark, navy blues and cream tones. Sweet touches like offering apple cider and hot coffee in the library, and the complementary happy hour were much appreciated. The cozy, comfy lobby lounge was perfect for quietly savouring a drink over a book, newspaper or tablet/laptop. The breakfast area was stunning, although the taste and variety of the breakfast itself was just okay. The location was just okay for me as well. It wasn't in the heart of it all, which I would have preferred, but it was only a few blocks away by foot from most of the places we wanted to go to. The staff were phenomenal. All of the staff that we interacted with — the front desk, valets and housekeeping were all warm, attentive and personable; they remembered our names and preferences and gave us a lovely room.

I left my watch in the room like an idiot and they found it and mailed it back to me. Honest amazing staff, I am completely blown away about how amazing the people are here! highly recommended and I hope this makes it to someone who thanks them all for me and lets them know how amazing they are! Thank you thank you! The front desk staff, restaurant staff, and door guys are all also amazing.

Good location but a little bit stiff. The sale of water bottle to $7 500ml in the room is particularly outrageous at the price at which the room is rented.

Nice place, the rooms are rather spacious. Except the bathrooms that are particularly poorly studied.
Excessive rate even for NY ($37 the classic continental breakfast with an extra of $3 for an espresso)

I was at this hotel on the occasion of my honeymoon in 2009 (it was still called Hotel Roger Williams).
The structure is not huge and almost gets overtaken by the skyscrapers of Manhattan. The staff are friendly and professional, the rooms are large, clean and quiet; I noticed that the particularity in America (and not only) is that the bed is chock full of pillows.
I recommend this hotel as it is in the center, very close to the Empire State Building and from here you can easily reach both the Metro and other points of interest.
Usually in America it is not convenient to have breakfast in the hotel so we opted for the only overnight stay.

This hotel was fantastic. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but they were larger than the other two NYC hotels I've stayed in during the past twelve months. The bathroom is very luxurious (though mine was shower only, no bathtub), and contains an incredibly soft bathrobe for your use. The lighting is great, especially the lights beside and above the bed. The only complaint I had was that the lobby seemed to have mosquitoes flitting about constantly (this was in mid-May). I'm planning to return next week because I liked the hotel so much.

Stevan in engineering was very knowledgeable when called for assistance. Please give him a raise. He's a great listener and solved the problem in a heart beat. He's an asset to the company.

The people that work there were fantastic the hotel was clean the rates were fair not to mention the awesome location. I have stayed at thousands of hotels and the people at this hotel impressed me more than any hotel I have stayed at. We were in NYC for my daughters wedding and their people went above and beyond what you would expect.

Nice, very clean and friendly. Was able to check in early. There's free Wi-Fi and is very close to 5th Ave shopping. However, the minibar and stocked snacks are crazily priced ($7 for a bottle of water) and the TV is far from the bed.

When to visit NY again again to the Roger. Maravilloso in all aspects.

Quality Hotel. Good bedding. Room a little small for 2. Rather little character but it is a safe value for a stay of medium duration. I recommend.

Small but very cool space. They make a great cucumber martini and have very good food.

Tremendous location, close to everything, good service, not very big but comfortable rooms and well distributed space. Definitely my hotel when I return to NY.
