The location is ideal, a few steps from Herald and Madison Sq, central but quiet and with immediate access to all means of transportation. The hotel is an old building but 100% remodeled and put in value, the room is spacious, the cleanliness is very good and the amenities and whites of excellent quality, the menu of room service is spacious and the minibar has several options however it is so well located that if It is excellent to go out to eat for the incredible restaurants of the city and to buy what you need in the drugstores.
The rate is adequate, the staff is great! Recommended.

It's pretty good, very close to the city center, just 5 minutes from the Empire State Building. But the toilet is inconvenient, the flowers are fixed on the roof, every day tired back to want to take a bath, but do not want to wash the hair, you can only set a plastic belt, because does not provide a bath cap.

As an impromptu visit to NYC, I was searching hotels on our drive up from Jersey. This had the best rates and stars match, so I called and booked. No ridiculous security fee (50 bucks). They have valet parking, but we found a street spot. Our room was super cute. A nice bed, clean floors and bathroom. Super cute minibar. I read reviews that the rooms were small, but I didn't think so at all. Some reviews say its not luxury. Well if you are looking for a shower with a touch screen and marble floors, this is not it. It was clean and modern and super close to Times Square. In addition, the front desk service was wonderful. Shout out to Angel! We will definitely be back.

Great location, comfy rooms that are good for two people. Nice 24hrs lemon and hot water station in the lobby. Much better if a tea/coffee facility be provided in the room or even just the water boiler.

I chose it for the location. Nice hotel; honest staff. My main point is that I left my wallet in the room when I checked out. I phoned about one half hour later. They found the wallet, with a few hundred dollars cash, some credit cards, etc. And returned it to me intact. The rooms were on the small side but that was all I wanted. This is not a fancy or glitzy hotel but it's totally clean, well-run, and comfortable. I expect to stay there again.

Good location for sightseeing but very very old. It's expensive even to be in Midtown Manhattan.

So the place is nice and cozy and very close to empire state building… "BIG YES". Absolutely you will love to stay here. 24 hours free coffee and lemon water in night hours is good service too. The only down point is the bathroom — washroom area is smaller than usual causes inconvenience for big guy like me. Othet than that everything is perfect.

My wife and I stayed at the Chandler in early Aug 2017. We arrived at the hotel about an hour before the advertised check in so after determining that our room would not be available we decided to wait in the lobby. Our first impression on the hotel was from the chairs and carpet in the lobby, near coffee area. The chairs were badly worn and both the chairs and rug were very dirty. This really gave us a poor first impression of the hotel. We wondered at that time what the room would be like considering the rating that the hotel had and comments we read from others. We were actually pleasantly surprised with both the cleanliness and amenities in the room. The staff were both friendly and helpful. In closing, I would like to suggest that the area of the lobby where the chairs are located be updated with chairs that are easier to keep clean and the rug be either deep cleaned more often or removed. The cleanliness of the lobby has a big impression on hotel guests and this area does not do justice to the other parts of the hotel.

Best hotel I've ever stayed at. Ashantay at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The doorman remembered my name when I returned from lunch and offered to get my luggage for me. Told him I had some work to do first and the library was a wonderful area for that. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. Very good coffee. The only negative thing I encountered was that I couldn't get the lights to turn on around the bed but I'm sure that could have been solved by the staff if necessary.

I must say this was an excellent experience. Coming from a small town in Canada we were not sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised at the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. A big shout out to Fabio, Michael and Adonis for making our stay at Hotel Chandler amazing. We were treated like royalty. We will definately be coming back here and making recommendations to our friends. The hotel was also in a great spot in the city. Everything we wanted and needed was all very close making the "New York minute" a reality.

Beautiful place to stay! Everyone is so welcoming, kind and helpful. Coming from Canada we used all the advice we could get, which made our trip absolutely amazing. The whole entire staff was super helpful during our full stay! Would love to come back!

I've stayed at Hotel Chandler a few times. Overall it's an OK place. I don't have many other NYC hotels to compare to. +it's a good location, close to the subway and to Penn station. +Toiletries are Molton Brown and seem pretty nice +all of the staff I met are nice and professional +I like the walk-in shower -Rooms are very small. I suppose this is normal for NYC -The Wi-Fi can be very slow. One room I stayed in had a working Ethernet jack which helped offset this. In another, the Ethernet jack didn't work. -In one room the shutoff valve on the toilet would occasionally make a loud whistling noise, which made it hard to relax. -the only fridge in the room is filled with minibar items. -Additional minibar items sit on a tray on the desk, using up space in an already small area. -The TV doesn't have any accessible HDMI ports so I can't connect my own devices.

Stayed here for a week whilst in vacation. Really friendly staff, prior engagements made it that we could not have dinner at the Juni restaurant that is inside the hotel. Something to make sure the next time. Room was clean and everything worked as it should. You will have a gokd time here.

Room was not as good as the ones shown on photos, but of course that's kind of expected. Nice hotel, good service, clean. Great location too.

Staff and location are the best thing about this hotel. We first had a room that was noisy, right on the 2nd floor off the lobby and asked to be moved. Next room quiet. Perfect in that regard, but where our shower trickled in the first room, it was literally a downpour in this one, flooding the bathroom floor, as others have mentioned. And the towel bar kept falling off the wall. Carpets are worn. Windows were in the side/shaftway area between buildings for both rooms and it was dark and hard to tell what the weather was like. Would say 3.5 stars, not 4.

The hotel is very nice with some old age charm. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is located about a 5 mins walk to the empire state building which is rather cool.

Excellent hotel, cozy rooms. Love the lobby with tea and coffee, a lovely fireplace room. Toiletries and linens were top notch. Great central location.

Excellent service! Concierge was very helpfull and experienced, which is so much wearth in a big city. Downside was the pricing and the very slow elevators. Dispite that I wont regret to recommend it.

Dirty carpet, ripped bedding, smeared mirrors, a shower that floods and doors that don't close properly. I stay in an average of 6 hotels a month and this place was definitely not worthy of 4 stars! The one star I have given it is for their excellent bell boys who are very helpful and friendly.

Snobs at the front desk. Extremely slow internet and sad excuses. Badly designed showers that leak into the bathroom floor no matter what you do. Smelly musky closets. Overall not worth it. Holiday Inn was 10 times better.

Hotel Chandler is the kind of place you might expect your parents to stay. On the nicer side, the hotel is tastefully decorated with darker, traditional touches. There is a breakfast nook and a library, both off the main lobby, for eating and relaxing. A restaurant and a bar are currently under construction on the property; both are expected to open this summer. Service is gracious and solicitous.

A perfectly nice hotel, but when traveling on business, quality internet access is necessary, and the hotel's internet access was horrendous. It was unworkable. A call to the front desk only elicited commiseration.

The most amazing experience I've had EVER in a hotel. Everything was perfect from the hospitality to the ambiance to the price for our stay.

Hotel Chandler was a terrific place to stay while traveling on business. The staff are well-trained, polite and personable. They made me feel entirely 'at home' which helped to make my stay in New York a great experience. The Chandler's Concierge — Charlie Loor is a real pro. Not only did he give me a good recommendation for dinner, but he made the reservation for me as well, and found an umbrella for me to walk less than five minutes to get to Artisanal, where one experiences fine french traditional bistro-fare with all the authentic atmosphere one can imagine. I wasn't disappointed. I will definitely stay at the 'Chandler' on my next trip to New York.

I just had a quick trip to NYC and had the pleasure of staying at this hotel. The staff are exceedingly friendly and the concierge was right on when I needed local suggestions for dining. The front desk is prompt and professional. I had an issue with their internet connection in the hotel and it was resolved within minutes. The hotel itself and the rooms are clean and well kept. The best way to describe it is a 'neighborhood gem. ' The location is smack dab in the middle of Manhattan but you do need to jaunt a bit to the nearest subway. There is some negative with the positive, however. The room I stayed in (the smallest they have) is quite small. This is probably the smallest hotel room I have been in. The room service menu is slightly lacking but has good availability. The gym is also relatively tiny, so I wouldn't expect heading here for any type of prime workout. Overall, this place was great. Clean room. Comfortable bed. FAST wireless internet and great service. Would stay here again.

THE hotel is excellent. Very well located, next to the Empire State and near the Flatiron. The care was very good that they spoke Spanish. Perfect room, and very good shower with glass partition. Highly recommended!
That Yes take it online since if it catches directly it is much more expensive (I don't understand why).
