Booked a "superior room" got a tiny and noisy, (can't sleep level) mini room. Location is great, can walk to Time squared, Empire State B. Etc. Room is clean, good restaurant on premises. But at the end, you want a place to rest. This is not it.

This was absolutely wonderful hotel I have no complaints they made me feel at home.

Lots of construction outside. Front desk was pleasant and I got a room before check in time! Room is small but perfect for one person. Didn’t eat at the restaurant or cafe.

A first class experience! From reservations to check in, to the quality and thoughtfulness of each and every item in the room. Sam at the front desk allowed me a very early check in, which was much appreciated. The signature scent and overall ambiance of the Redbury will definitely have me returning. The room was quiet and comfortable. The shower had strong water pressure and the bath products by Beekman are amazing. The ability to stow your bag after checkout basically allowed me an extra day in the city. Quality and service were on par to any Four Seasons or Ritz property I have stayed in. Thank you for a memorable weekend.

The sleeping area wasn’t huge but was perfect for my son’s and my needs. The bathrooms were nice and the showers nice and big. The hotel is close to everything and really affordable. I will be back!

The Redbury was an excellent choice for NYC. The location is perfect to see all of NYC and the decor was timeless. The people from the front desk to housekeeping were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others to make their NYC trips memorable.

Very cool hotel, in a quieter neighborhood of Midtown. Cool and chic decor, very boutique atmosphere and smells like a good cologne. I was very satisfied with my room. Did not hear neighbors, enough space to not feel cramped and very roomy bathroom with a huge shower.

Great hotel. The room was spacious, fully equipped and had a Bluetooth speaker available for more enjoyable work time. The hotel bartender was fantastic, quick with banter and solid drink recommendations. The concierge was helpful in getting my show tickets printed before heading to Broadway. Excellent service and a quality stay.

There's a mix between classic and modern elements inside. Seems like a cozy place to stay at. One of the stars at the Redbury is Marta. The food was really amazing. There's a small bar and cafe on the other side of the hotel. Been meaning to try it out.

The hotel can feel a bit old in its finishes. But overall feels cozy. Rooms can be a little small, sometimes weirdly shaped but have enough space for one or two people on the queen sized rooms. Area is really convenient for stuff in midtown Edit: This hotel is actually so poorly managed. During my most recent stay, I was given a key to an occupied room. When I opened the door, there was already someone's stuff there. After getting a new room, the mini bar wasn't restocked, so I was charged for stuff that was missing. I've stayed in rooms all around the hotel, and there's construction everywhere that starts around 6-7am. Including banging, and buzzers, and sirens. Apparently within the hotel they're also doing construction that starts very early. They're computers are barely functional and often they won't be able to get your room key because the computers are just "broken".

Toured the property with our travel dept to check out the space. Hotel has a wonderful history. The rooms are beautiful. The restaurants serve fresh veggies from a nearby farmers market, definitely not your typical hotel food. Great option if you are ever in NYC.

Hotel actually disappointed me, I thought better, in six nights no sheets were changed, the bathroom set I was forced to ask the women of the plan the replacement quotidiaba, the carpet was dirty and is not hygienic. Very small rooms. Another sore note infernal noise that you could not rest for the numerous engines operating 24 hours si 24, placed outside the buildings in front of the hotel being on the 4 th floor was unbearable. The only positive note is the kindness of the reception staff.

The hotel is in a great location and has nice big rooms thg are all updated with a great shower. There are upgraded features and the employees were extremely helpful. Only issue is the room is reasonably priced unless you try to make a change and then they will charge you and are unwilling to work with you at all. Overall other than the additional charges and lack of flexibility the experience was very good.

A very clean hotel with a restaurant in the lower East side. I didn't spend the night here however, the vibe I got from just visiting the hotel was very positive. The bathroom on the ground floor was elegantly done and it seemed like they were constantly cleaning. Nice reception, hopefully can spend the night there one day.

Very friendly and comfortable Hotel. It Has a bar, a restaurant and the concierge with friendly staff. Rooms in the norm, well kept and clean. Carpeting both in the hallway and in the room, towels replaced daily, TV, hairdryer, safe and iron!
You sleep well, soft beds and zero noise. Satisfied and recommend it.

Edited Review: Response to my feedback via email and was prompt and apologetic about my experience and the agent quickly sought to remedy my concerns. Even with the negatives about my time at the property, I was pleasantly surprised by the bar and the restaurant with beautiful cocktails and food. The pizza dough at the bar is a must-try! Stayed here 23-25 May. Hostile check-in and check-out experience. The concierge was a grumpy man who was generally unfriendly. Also, the Redbury NY's resort fees are a form of extortion and blackmail. Withholding check-in for guests unwilling to pay the resort fees after having a confirmed reservation is disingenuous. If the resort fees include Wi-Fi, then the hotel shouldn't be providing it to anybody (even non-guests) on the property. The gym is also not on-site, and I did not bother going. I get a better gym with my own affiliated country club access. I await the complete refund of my resort fees.

Not bad but beware 4 stars in the US is not 4 stars in France…!

Staff gave us five star treatment. Excellent complimentary gourmet coffee every morning. Room upgrade with empire state building view. Nice complimentary champagne for hubs bday. Great location. Great vibe.

The rooms are clean. But that´s about it. For the price of almost $1, 000 for two nights I think you can expect a little better. The minibar was standing right next to the bed and illuminated like an airport strip so I had to cover it with a blanket. The smoke detector went of at 2am caused by a low batterie and started beeping every 30 min until finally got removed (and not replaced for the following night). AC is super loud.

Friendly staff, small but nice rooms, very noisy AC. You'll need to pack earplugs.

Very friendly staff but the hotel I want and can't!

Having stayed in many NYC hotels I will definitely be back to visit the Redbury. This trip we were wedding dress hunting and they sent us a bottle of bubbly when we checked in making extra special. It is a non-tipping hotel FYI. The staff was courteous and the entire place was super clean. We had a suite and a 2 bed room. I would only recommend adding another mirror in the suite. Other than that… I would highly recommend you stay at the Redbury when in NYC.

Loved my stay here staff were great the room so lovely … I was in. A single room and it met all my expectations… only issue I had was with check in… the hotel don't cater for a chip and pin system … my card was declined a few times which was ridiculous… I had to get a friend from NJ to come to NYC to secure my room so word of warning! Other than that I would recommend the hotel great location as well.

The location is very convenient The view is not the best, but is compensated by warm and cozy rooms, equipped with air conditioning. The space of the bathrooms (in particular the size of the sink) is a little narrow, but acceptable. The service is very good. In General the hotel together with its staff is quite welcoming; Only flaw in the restaurant, whose prices are very high and for a food-in my case the pizza-not necessarily up to par.

We stayed last week in 11 between adults and children in this beautiful property.
At our disposal 3 rooms with different sizes and views but all still great.
Comfortable beds (Queen size each for 2 persons) and the same applies to bed linen and towels.
It was a very nice place to stay. We had dinner one evening also by Marta, the pizzeria inside the hotel (always full! ) and we had a good time. Definitely recommend!

Stayed here for business. Room was small, but well appointed. Very comfortable. Free coffee in the cafe every morning, and a decent bar. Great location, as well.

Can't praise this place enough. Just returned from an amazing week here for my 40th. Well presented hotel and a lovely room that was cleaned daily. The bathroom was on the small side but the shower was great and ideal for a freshen up before going out. Helpful and engaging staff throughout the whole hotel, couldn't do enough to assist and help. We were lucky enough to have an Empire State Building view. Hotel Location is top notch. We were able to walk to Central Park, The Hi…gh Line, Battery Park and even into Brooklyn. The Subway is nicely located a block away and there are many nice eateries and bars local to The Redbury (I recommend Blue Smoke on 27th Street). In response to the previous bad reviews because of an unfortunate criminal incident experienced by a resident, I can only say this… We felt very secure in this hotel, the accommodation floors can only be accessed via door key activated lifts and the rooms also require scan entry. There are also a number of staff at front of house locations, and a free electronic safe within the room. I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel and it will be top of our list for any future visits to the city. We never sampled the food at Marta within the hotel, but it was always busy and customers all looked happy. The bar there is nice though and operates a no tip policy, a rarity in NYC. I Spent two weeks there in January. Great Location and the place has a lot of appeal. The restaurant does great pizzas and is always full, a lot of locals. It is difficult to find a quiet place in the whole hotel. The rooms can be noisy too, especially the air conditioning/ heating system, do not forget your ear plugs if like me you are sensitive to noise. The staff was always really friendly and efficient.

A lovely Central place to stay. Good service, comfy bed. This would have been five stars, but I left a few folded shirts in a drawer, notified them same day, and after a month they said they couldn't find them.

Very nicely and well kept hotel. Decent views from our top floor room. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the noisy heat unit that kept us up through the night.

This was a choice of hotel given to us after our first choice was removed due to it being upgraded. The room had heating that kept us awake most of the night and the shower had to be fixed as the water was not warm and it was very cold outside and a warm shower would have been appreciated at least the did fix it. Breakfast was the worst I have experienced in any country and hotel. The variety was non existent as was the service the only time we had contact with the staff was when we had to ask for mugs or cutlery or when they tried presenting us with a bill every day even though we paid with the room. The one good thing was Alexanda who was in charge of customer information and she was brilliant. I would not return but there again I would not return to NYC.

Good location close to fast food shops and a short walk to empire state building. Rooms were good, bed comfy and the shower had good pressure (even though water goes everywhere because of the design). The food at the Marta in the lobby was also top quality.

I had a very nice stay at the Redbury. The room was a bit small (but not surprising in NYC) but it was clean, nicely decorated. Definitely a really nice room. Location is amazing. Great restaurant. All in all a great experience.

Rooms were nice, but smaller compared to hotels in other cities (I think that's expected in New York though). Staff was very nice. Wish they had a tub and a coffee maker in each room though. The shower is unique in that there is no closing door so it's open and water can get all over the bathroom floor. Our room had both an AC and heater. The AC was loud though but not too bothersome as it reminded me of my white noise machine at home. They did not have extra blankets in the rooms and only 2 towels per room unless you asked for more. Didn't get to try the restaurant, Marta, but the coffee shop past the lobby, Caffe Marchio, was divine and their staff was always so friendly. This hotel has concierge service and its close to the metro. There's a few good places to eat around it. The in-room drinks are expensive. Beds were comfy but pillows went flat fast. We did not have a good view from our window; it faced an alley. Overall, our stay was great and comfortable.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked the suite for 6 people through booking, we had certain privileges how checkin 2h before and welcome drink. When we arrived, our room was still busy and as we were doing sightseeing we were not going to waste time waiting so we did check-in anyway and they kept our luggage. When we came back at night they did not find our check-in, we were again asked for credit card and the data, plus we did not bring all the luggage, after solving that, we climbed super late to the room and there was only bed for 4! The solution we were offered was an inflatable mattress because they had no more rooms available and they wouldn't let us claim it. It was pathetic at 1 in the morning to have to prepare the beds ourselves without any compensation. The next day we were able to talk to the manager and the only thing he offered us was free breakfast but the buffet ended in less than half an hour and we didn't have time. They continued without letting us claim and we were thrown on face that we were doing favors and we did not accept them.

Good location Well-appointed rooms with many comforts. But too small. If you're alone, it's okay, you don't walk in two. Very nice shower.

Nice place close to Lexington Ave. Has a restaurant and a bar in the same property. Has a unique design and theme overall. Rooms are extremely spacious. Morning coffee is the best! Great way to start your day. The place does not have a microwave which is kinda sad.

Delightful hotel although I would say the décor makes the feel of the hotel dark. The room was small for the size of the bed. It was a struggle to get past the bed. There are hidden costs. Good location. Id only go back if it was for a short period. Staff generally helpful and polite.

Firstly, I booked a king room, only to be put in a queen room. The room was not vacuumed, there was so much dirt on the floor it was just disgusting! When I called the reception from the room, I was told that it was a king room on their system. I know what a king room looks like and this wasn't it! Whoever was on the other side of the phone rudely said that he could send someone to measure the bed — unbelievable! Asked for a manager who still insisted it was a king room without even bothering to come to check it. In the end we were asked to come to the reception where we were given a king room, after more arguing. This time it actually was a king room. However, there was only one glass and no water. So I called the reception again. The manager herself brought the glass and the water… only for the glass to have a massive lipstick stain on it! So off she went to fetch a clean glass. The next day our glasses were not refreshed, the bins were not emptied and the water was not replenished despite of us paying their whatever charge, which is supposed to include bottled water and is, in itself, rather ridiculous. When we were leaving and wanted to pick up our suitcases from the storage we had to wait for more than minutes before anyone bothered to actually come and unlock the storage room, despite of us telling reception that we were in a rush. Never ever again!

Great property close to the Empire State Building. Rooms in standard, but very clean. Very friendly staff.

Went for a wedding. The venue was nice and the food was good. However, I didn't see the rooms and didn't eat at the restaurant so I can't give it a full review.

A hotel decorated with great taste. Courteous and efficient staff. Perfect stay. There is also a restaurant.

Very nice looking hotel (and restaurant) with good location. We could even see the Empire State Building. However the beds are pretty poor, plus one wasn't even prepared for us. We had to do that ourselves. We had ordered a family room with 2 beds. One was a "sleeping couch", which wasn't very good, but even the one normal bed had a mattress that was very soft. Not anything that ruined our week but should have been better. Free water in the room was also promised, but that only happened on the last day.

Quaint little place. Enjoyed my stay and staff were very attentive. Restauarant was brilliant, as was the room service options, although a little pricey. Would say 5 stars but a bit stingy on the tea bags (I am English! ). Air con didn't work but was fixed promptly when we notified front desk. Would definitely come back.

A little style over substance keeps this from a 5 star rating. The bed is comfortable and the AC really pumps in a 100 degree day. The bathroom is apparently as small as could be legally allowed but adequate. Hotel staff was very friendly and the complimentary coffee in the lobby is pretty good.

Elegant hotel but tiny rooms. There is no space to put your suitcases. The window does not open, there is no minibar to keep the water cool and do not make available even the stain of the coffee like most hotels. Good location.

Very close to a metro station and close to several attractions walking.

Really enjoyed our stay. They let us check our bags hours before check in time. Staff is very friendly. They went out of their way to say hello or see if we needed anything. The room was clean and very nice. Towels all day long! Anytime they we needed new towels, they sent some up. I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone I know.

The hotel and staff are fantastic. But the restaurant food was very disappointing. It had a very poor menu and in my opinion very over priced for what you got. I got one piece of salmon and 3 pieces of sweet potato for $32 no veg included (I have had expensive meals be for and was pleased with it) this was definitely not worth it. My partner had duck with nothing but vinegared cabbage for $36 again not worth it and was under cooked. In hindsight we should of left and gone else where but we're to tired and hungry (as had a very long day). The Italian down the street (next to tasty cafe which is also very nice) ) is way better quality food and definitely recommend it over the redbury restaurant any day.

The hotel location is great and atmosphere is cool but service is very poor and ineffective especially the evening shift. We had to change room because it was unclean. Then we are assigned a room (803) next to a crazy permanent resident. The door was covered by papers with threatening language and crazy drawings in oil. Finally, we were given breakfast vouchers. However when applied voucher, it was charged to the room at the end and we have no way of reversing it! How they can improve, make sure the rooms are clean at check in. Don't assign anyone to the rooms next to the creepy "tenant". Fix the elevator because it goes offline alot especially during check out time. Offer to waive the service charge or food credit but actually carry through it, otherwise you are just scamming the guests.

The redbury ny is new and I believe the chain is as well, and they have some customer care issues to iron out. I arrived at 11 in the morning at the hippy themed retro chic red drapped hotel and was told my room was ready but there would be a $50 early check in fee prior to 3 pm. Given that the room was expensive anyway I opted to leave my bags and go for a long walk and shop. I returned at 2 and was again told there was a $50 early check in fee. This time I complained and asked if they would pay me $50 if I had arrived late, at say 11pm? of course not, but I had made my point. After consulting with the manager I got my key without a fee. that's just poor customer care in the interest of an up-sell. It's not as if the room was needed or had to be cleaned. If I could have checked in in the morning I would have been grateful. As it is I was irritated, and left me with a bad attitude for my 4 night stay. the room was small, very small, with a dirty window looking out at other buildings close up. The bathroom was decent and recently renovated. The gym, if you can call it that, is tucked into a small room with just 3 pieces of equipment and a blaring TV. No water. the water in the room is $4 for a small bottle. The restaurant in the lobby is good, as wss the servuce. And the hotel is well located for most things in NYC.

I had a spectacular experience. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by friendly staffed who answered all my questions, and guided me in the right direction. Nerma welcomed us once we got there, helping my fiancé and I with everything we needed, she was such a fantastic person to work with and I contribute a big part of why the experience was so incredible to her. It's very rare to find someone who is able to cater to my needs in such a graceful and genuine way. I was very impressed with the orientation of the place, and the restaurant was superb! To top it all off, I stayed in a beautiful spacious room. Excellent service, honestly a 5 star experience, I recommend everyone stay here and to ask for Nerma, she will take care of everything!

Pretty cute hotel that was updated and maintains a vintage feel. Fairly good service and great location but the rooms feel a little shabby. Things like poor seals in the shower causing a lot of water to rest on the floor, taps that spray wildly and toilet paper dispensers that fall from the wall detracted from the experience. Otherwise very clean, comfortable and friendly.

We arrived late the first night of our stay and went straight to the room to go to bed. Upon arriving the room was a little warm so we turned the a/c down and went to sleep. When we woke up the room was still very warm, I notified the front desk and they sent someone up to fix it that day. Staff was very friendly while we were staying. While we were getting dressed I noticed a small black bug on my pants and flicked it off, not thinking anything of it. After lunch my fiancee noticed a few bug bites on her arm. We were busy sight seeing so I brushed it off saying it was probably nothing. Over the next two days the bites didn't get any better and she mentioned how badly they itched. On our way home she did an internet search and found they resembled bed bug bites and we shouldn't take any of our bags into our house. To ease her mind I told her to go to the doctor today (the first day we were back) and he said that there is no way to tell what kind of bugs they were, but the bites do resemble bed bug bites. He confirmed that we should not take any of our bags inside and we should wash and dry ALL of our clothes on hot to try to kill any bugs that may have got into our stuff. I called the hotel to let them know what happened and that they should check the room. The staff sounded concerned and said that they would notify housekeeping but completely ignored the inconvenience of us having to wash and dry ALL of our clothes on hot and replace all of our luggage.

Every stay has been pleasant. Clean rooms, reasonable rates for the area, good service. Great experience!

The Martha Washington hotel is in a great location, but unfortunately, the rooms are absolutely tiny. Understandably its in New York, but the rooms could barely fit one person comfortably. The showers also don't close, so water gets everywhere when you use it, including the toilet paper. Maybe it's chic modern, but there are definitely some practicality questions. Over all, its a good place to stay the night, but I would find something roomier for a longer stay.

Gorgeous. We were there in July on their honeymoon. Friendly and professional staff.

Really fun place to stay. It's not near any of the main subways except for the 6, so that's kind of a pain but really good and lively restaurant downstairs. Rooms are nice. The only thing is, the heat is on. And if you live in NY or in the northeast you know what I'm talking about with the radiators and it just cranks out heat. My room has been 75 my entire stay. That's a little hard to sleep in. I stayed on the 12th floor not facing the street and it was a very quiet comfy room. I think they should do something about the heat pumping all of the time and maybe have a dimmer for the hallway lights later at night. It's an older building so the doors have gaps in them and tons of hallways light shines through. Other than that. Great place. Staff went above and beyond. Great time.

Stayed for 3 nights at this hotel in full work! Unusable elevators, noise…
The rooms are tiny and the windows are closing badly: so we got the noise from the street. Without earplugs it is impossible to sleep in this hotel.
The size of the room does not allow to open two suitcases at the same time, it's just impossible to live!
Very disappointed.
