Great place. Food was awesome and drink service was on point.

Hotel security is pathetic… a young couple were recently assaulted in the hotel…security and management were useless… did nothing to help the couple. It is an extremely unsafe place for anyone to stay.

Dirty room & dirty bathroom. No laundry bag. No complimentary tea & coffee in room. Nice design but nothing else made me want to stay again.

My husband and I stayed at the Ace NYC over Christmas for our honeymoon and we LOVED it! We frequent our local hotel in New Orleans and NYC did not disappoint. There was a mixup at first with the front desk but they immediately corrected the mistake and were understanding and attentive. Can’t say enough good things! They even left us a bottle of wine and a hand written note and upgraded us to a bigger room. We will definitely be back!

Stunning hotel — amazingly helpful and friendly staff at the reception desk. They were very responsive to any request we had. Great touches everywhere… very cool vibe! Breslin menu is a little limited… silent book club in the lobby was great… and we finally found a good coffee in NYC. In the the coffee shop downstairs! Fantastic location — could walk to all the main stores, as well as local restaurants, markets, chemists etc…

I loved the location near everything! Hotel very clean there is nothing missing in the rooms the lobby bar is very casual and the atmosphere is relax the designer has done a great job of research for decoration everything is on the mark I recommend this hotel and I give a 4.5 / 5 the only downside is hot in the rooms but we were accomodated with a fan super service beautiful home thank you and good continuity.

It/was a cool place a few years ago, now it's full of freelancers working in the lobby, using the free Wi-Fi. I think it's a good place if you're looking for a shared space to work and network. It's a little noisy if what you're looking for is a place to concentrate. The room I stayed was incredibly small, but I guess that's what comes with the price. The location is pretty good, you're a few blocks away from the Flatiron building.

I love the Ace hotel! I've stayed in the one in Portland and the NYC one has a similar vibe but is much larger. The lights are dim but not too dark and the space is comfy and welcoming. The room we stayed it was a good size and had a lot of personal flair. If you're looking for a cool place to stay wherever there's an Ace hotel, I'd definitely suggest it. This location is also right on Broadway and there's a ton nearby.

The rooms are more unique and have character, although not as large as the Plaza. The staff is exceptional, professional, and knows their job well. The dining is exemplary and this place has many choices. Convenient location, too.

Super encouraging hostel. Though the room is a bit small but it has so many amenities in it. The workers are lovely and cheerful. The environment is clean and lovely. The hotel in general is very good and good place to lodge.

The Ace has smaller rooms, but a ton of character. The room I stayed in had a guitar set out waiting to be strummed upon. The staff is exceptional and happily answer any questions you may have. The bar area serves limited food and drinks but the selection is more than enough if you are in town on business.

Very nice boutique hotel, the rooms are clean and tidy, the staff are friendly. Plenty of amenities and mini bar snacks are well stocked. Bathrooms for the mini room are a little small but that's fine as the decor is excellent. I'd definitely refined this hotel to travelers and first time New Yorkers. They have this cool little s survival guide book that gives you some greats hints and tips for the hotel and the surrounding area.

Been to the Ace Hotel a few times but never as a guest. I go because Stumptown Roasters is attached to the lobby and I needs my coffee beans. I've popped into the hotel to use the bathroom. It's available to the public. The lobby is nice, but often crowded with people and their gazillion bags, working on laptops. Don't know if I'll ever stay, but the lobby is nice, and the coffee is amazing.

If you're too cool for this world you might enjoy this place. Tiny overpriced and unfunctional, dark rooms, unprofessional staff in a totally fake unbearable hipster vintage ambiente. The interior architect must hate people for sure. We had the "pleasure"to stay here for 5 nights and wouldn't recommend it to anyone wanting confort and being treated well.

Very bad customer service our company rented 70 room and 8 lofts for an event. Food was amazingly bad, breakfast was terrible. No notion of customer service. No fruit snacks, all fat and sweet for coffee breaks. Staff are rude, do mistakes and never apologize and call you dude and guy. For the next time NYC is full of good places. We upgraded our room because the tiny bed was everything but double and the hotel overcharged us to our credit card twice the amount agreed. Yet no apologies, no reimbursement and no news. Absolutely disappointed on this bad service. I guess this needs to be reported.

What a cool hotel! The restaurant is brilliant too. Real hipster place that simply just makes you happy!

A wall of laptops great you in this dark and slightly dingy hotel. No doubt that is is super cool, and it has a stylist graphic style to accompany its post industrial decor, but the beds are uncomfortable, the rooms are small and it is very very dark. Staff are also hit and miss. When they hit, you get an incredible welcome from a genuinely attentive staff-member. When they miss you feel that you exist at a level beneath contempt. This makes visiting reception a bit of a lottery. But, the minibar is awesome, the gym well equipped. But forget it if you want to work in the lobby, it has already been filled by a wall of laptops optimising code.

Good place to have coffee. Reasonable prices.

First of all the good stuff: The hotel offers a great atmosphere. The lobby is always busy with people working, chatting and enjoying their time and provides a great scenery to relax. The restaurant and bar within the hotel are both of high quality (though also priced accordingly). The rooms are equipped with everything that you'd expect in a 4* hotel. The bad stuff: The rooms are extremely small. I've booked their third biggest size and still felt that it's much smaller than what I would expect for the money I paid. The real downside though is the AC / heating system. I stayed in ACE during peak winter season but my room felt like a cage filled with hot and dry air. I've opened the window as much as possible (one hand wide) and still had to sleep without blanket. Nights were least comfortable hotel nights of my life.

I worked with Nora and she was lovely! Very responsive and professional. It was just really nice to have someone reach out to all the hotels (since I really didn't know what to do or how) and Nora created a proposal spreadsheet of all their rates/distance from venue/etc. Making it really easy to compare each option. She also handled the contract with the hotel and all I had to do was review and sign! I highly recommend this service to those that want or need help with room blocking! It saved a lot of time and energy for me. Thanks Nora.

Wonderful stay at the Ace this weekend. Booked a small room and got upgraded to a medium room. Not much of a view, but didn't expect one. Only complaint was the first night my fiance and I woke up very hot — the A. C. Was set to 66, so we turned it off and opened a window. Asked the front desk about it the next morning and it's just that the A. C. Is set to only heat this time of year, so not a big problem. Comfortable bed, rainfall shower, guitar and record player in the room (though didn't use them). Great location in that it was between all the places we visited like the Met and Williamsburg. Helpful and friendly staff of course as well.

We are at the Ace Hotel this week, and I have to say that we are not that pleased with our experience. We arrived around midnight after our flight was delayed and were given a king bed room as per our reservation. The room was extremely noisy we could hear everything outside and people in front of the hotel. We complained and were moved to the attic (! ) for the rest of the night. The next morning we were given a better room because they had no more king bed rooms, and I have to say that the room we got is very nice with a spectacular view. 5 stars for that. However, there is a door on the side of the room that connect with the room on the left (I guess for people sharing two rooms with kids) and at night we can hear everything people are saying in the other room. Also, there's a big water stain in the ceiling in top of the fridge, like there was a recent water accident and they didn't repair it. Also, the room had no heating system (they told us they close the heating system when it gets higher than 10 degrees outside! ). Sorry Ace, you have a very nice place (especially the lobby and bar) with very nice employees, but I don't think we'll come back (considering also that it happened at a pricey hotel).

I love staying at ACE hotels, always have. ACE New York was no exception… great staff, great room, great crowd, great view, great time.

Review of the Lobby Bar only. Dropped in with a big group around 9pm on a Sunday night, we had to rub shoulders with both the laptop crowd and the drinks crowd, but succeeded in slowly taking over a table. Signature cocktails from the menu are $15 each, and though probably not the best I've had, it's pretty decent for a hotel bar. Recommended mostly on the strength of the laid back vibe and the old-school black-and-white photo booth (that takes Android Pay?! ) in the corner.

What a fun hotel! I loved the decor! Bonus points for the fun mini fridge. The drinks in the bar were fantastic! The bar/lobby was hopping day and night with people working at the shared workspace/charging table and also with people just hanging out. I tried a bit of a room service hamburger from the hotel restaurant. I honestly have to say that burger was one of the top 10 burgers I've had in my life! The front desk staff was very nice and extremely helpful as well. The only thing keeping my review from 5 stars is we had a serious issue with our heater in the room. The first night was really hot. By the time we woke up in the morning the temp had reached over 80 degrees (when the avg temp outside was in the 30s). We were only there one more night and the only thing they could do was open the windows until after we vacated the room. They sent a guy up right away to check it out when we reported the issue. They just couldn't fix it, or move us.

Good lamb burger. AMAZING triple baked chips (french fries. ) They're definitely the best chips I've ever had to date and I bring my friends who are visiting to ACE Hotel just for the chips. The lounge is always busy. It has a nice dark bar atmosphere but with a laptop-lounge work environment spin to it. I've never stayed in the rooms.

Soft lighting and post industrial furnishings are not enough to make a great hotel.

It’s all about the experience you brand. Minor details make the difference from standing out from everyone else. Having vinyl records in the rooms without a record players is a pretty basic brand fail. It seems silly and minor but, when you brand this as the experience … shame on you! There is always another story and brand for the consumer.
First time staying at this property in NYC and honestly I’ll search for another experience while on business in NYC.

Hotel in the center of New York which allows to be quickly in Central Park as in downtown. The rooms are great, the ambience in the hotel is hot. Only downside, never room to land in the hotel, the guests of the hotel are not privileged.

I stayed at the Ace Hotel NY having stayed at the Ace Hotel in London. The two are nothing alike. The Ace in NY has cramped, unclean rooms styled like a prison camp. The walls are painted a very dark gray, and the windows are tiny meaning that even in the daytime with the light on you cannot see clearly. The room was so cramped, I could reach out from my bed and touch the toilet bowl. When I stayed, I was told the air conditioning and heating weren't working because of 'extreme weather' (40F). The bath had brown water. The carpets were filthy. All of this would be okay if I were in a two or three-star Manhattan hotel, but I paid $350 a night. The lobby of the hotel is a loud bar, attracting a 24-hour crowd, meaning when you walk in or out you are hit with a wall of noise. The breakfast was standard Manhattan prices and included cold tinned tomatoes topped with deep-fried slices of garlic.

Another awesome Ace Hite property, this time making me feel at home in New York City, especially with a Rudy’s barbershop and stump town coffee on property. It’s in a great location in the flatiron so you can get pretty much anywhere easily. And the bar and restaurant on property are great!

I kinda love the Ace Hotel. It's a super handy spot to hang out. There is good coffee here (Stumptown), very good food (John Dory, etc), lots of room to hangout in the hotel lobby, and even some shopping. This place has managed to stay cool and useful for years, which is incredible. As for the Ace as a hotel: the interior is interesting and well done. The rooms are also interesting and very well done. It's as fun place to be in a very good location. I have only been in maybe 2 or 3 of the rooms, but all have been really nice and I've enjoyed my time there.

In a great location and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. The interior decoration is beautifully hipster. The lobby is always pumping and there are some great restaurants and bars and cafes attached. Would highly recommend.

Staff was super friendly, room was very clean and well designed. The designs painted on the walls and the little messages throughout the room showed off a lot of attention to detail. Plus it's located in Korea Town so there were a bunch of great Korean BBQ places nearby. We'll definitely stay here again in the future :)

This is a review of the Ace Hotel Lobby Bar. Specifically the fantastic breakfast menu. If you’re looking for a place to grab a bite for breakfast and do some work, then the Ace Hotel Lobby is a great place to kick off your day. There’s plenty of seating in the lobby alongside power outlets should you need some extra juice. The brilliant part of all this is there’s table service for you to get some food and coffee. The cappuccino with Supercrown coffee was spot on, however it was the food that was the biggest highlight for me. The breakfast sandwich with egg, a very strong cheddar, with bacon all served on an English muffin silenced my hungry tummy. It was the roasted tomatoes that blew my mind though. Sweet with thyme and basil, they were incredible. Don’t know what chef did, but I want this recipe.

I usually stay here and I love it. Love the vibe. Love the rooms. Love the gym. Nice and clean beds. Helpful staff and always a pleasure!

Very pleasant & comfortable. Desk staff were very friendly. The bed was absolutely great, with a nice thick duvee. Location is great, right in the heart of NYC, with no shortage of nearby shops, bars, restaurants, etc. Nice bathtub/shower. Very clean. Definitely would stay here again.

My all time favorite spot in the city to have a meeting. Location is ideal from Penn Station. Hotel lobby is very nicely set up to do business or have a drink with a friend. Ambiance is relaxing and the staff is spectacular.

There's a nice cafe attached to the hotel called Stumptown coffee roasters which I got a nice cold brew. Then I went into the lobby of Ace Hotel to get a bit of work done. The lobby is very well decorated, with a dark and antique Western aesthetic. Plenty of seating and people coming in and out. It's very unique and clean with good music playing in the background.

The hotel looks cool, but that is really the best I can say about the hotel. First, the hotel failed to provide us a safe and secure place. Our door did not even lock, and a random guy walked in to our room screaming in the middle of the night. Secondly, one of the ladies in the front desk was extremely rude to my parents just because their English was not perfect. A person who looks down at people and disrespects others because they do not speak fluent English should definitely not be involved in the hotel industry.

We only stopped into the hotel for the stumptown coffee that's on the first floor but we hung out in the lobby here. It's a very cool spot, with two different restaurants, a bar in the lobby and lots of great seating. It was very fun in there however so don't try to do too much intense eating there. The bathrooms downstairs were very clean and the experience was very nice. It'd be a great place to stop at for drinks with friends or just to have a seat and take a breather in.

I went to visit Stumptown Coffee Roasters. Excellent coffee. Certainly on the bright side but it blends wonderfully in an iced vanilla latte. I would love to go back and try a hot drink. Only thing is it's a little crowded and service is merely passable. They seem only to be there because they have to be.

The Ace is an interesting place. The check in was fast and friendly, and the desk upgraded us to the biggest room I've ever had in NYC. There was a full sized sized fridge in room. There was also a Martin guitar in the room (? ), but I would have preferred a coffee maker instead. The hotel lobby was small, loud, and always packed with people staring at their screens. One night during our stay there was some very curious entertainment in a small basement theater. All in all the Ace is a comfortable and convenient hotel, and I will stay there again.

Fabulous! Stayed at the hotel for Memorial Day Weekend 2017. It was just me and my friend. We had asked for a higher floor room and we got a 9th floor room which was pretty good in a 12 — floor hotel. The hotel was beautifully decorated and the staff was very courteous. Our room was spacious enough and the bed was comfortable. The view from our room was excellent too. After we checked out the hotel even helped us by storing our luggage while we went out in the city. Walking distance to Times Square and lots of other tourist attractions. Special thanks to the guy at the door who was so very generous to have clicked pictures for us. Great place to stay.

Perfectly located. Top Breakfast with views of the Empire State Building at the Coffee Shop downstairs. City Nike right next door. A bit hipster and hypster. I highly recommend.

I stayed here thanks to a Google Meetup, so my review isn't factoring cost. Hotel was amazing. Very stylized art deco design. Rooms were smaller, but surely on par with many hop/trendy Nyc hotels. Very large lobby with room to work, read, relax. There's a bar as well as a very tasty restaurant and coffee shop right off the lobby.

Great and affordable hotel with a amazing restaurant inside called the breslin. The staffs are professional and attentive always go out of there way to help someone out. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Steps aways from herald square, shopping places and other great restaurants. Overall great experience here and every one should stay at this hotel if on vacation in nyc.

Nice and affordable hip hotel in the center of Manhattan. Rooms are regular size for NYC but tastefully decorated and clean with remarkably nice bathrooms. Service and amenities are top notch and again at an excellent location.

It's got a nice lobby that I like to work in and during the day it's wonderful to network with people who may have the next best idea. You don't even need to be a guest there as the seats are open to the general public (and the Wi-Fi). However, the drinks are a bit pricey.

Easily my first choice for where to stay in NYC. Great location. Excellent staff. And a wonderful vibe. They are supporting of the arts and artists, and their restaurants are second to none thanks to April Bloomfield. If you've never had Lamb bacon… and you're a carnivore… you must try it. * (Ill leave it to you to find out where to get it. But if youre there. You'll find it easily! )

Conveniently located right in the centre of Manhattan, it is easy to walk to all the tourist attractions.
The atmosphere is hypster (the lobby is too noisy for my taste and very dark), but I love the decoration, especially the one of the rooms, very design. The cleanliness is spotless and the staff super efficient. Really an address to remember.
Note that I took my first breakfast at the hotel restaurant (the Brestlin Bar) : The service was way too long while the room was empty and the pancakes were not good at all… Luckily that the tea was good.

I've never stayed there or seen their guest rooms but just by judging their lobby and Breslin restaurant I'm dying to do so. The decor is fantastic, classic old style with a very cool sense of modern. Modern american bistro meets old tavern. Love this place and they even have live bands performing at the lobby every now and then. Forget about chain hotels, I'm definitely checking it out next time in town. Sweet location too.

Hip hotel in the heart of NoMad. Attentive staff, incredible mini bar fit with socks, turntable needles, pleasure kit and good snacks — pricey though. The ACE lobby is a great place to network, eat and write in all one place. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience a casual yet buzz-worthy hang out environment. Owner, April Bloomfield (a la The Spotted Pig) has put together excellent sandwiches, snacks, soup and drinks which are available 24/7 in the hotel lobby. The adjacent Stumptown coffee location serves up fantastic java and treats and the John Dory Oyster Bar has one of NoMad's best raw bars. Also, Rudy's Barbership (adjacent to the ACE, brings their own flair to Italy's Daviness line of shampoos and conditioners and you'll find their signature scent in your bathroom in the ACE.

I stayed at the Ace Hotel on a recent work trip to NYC. This hotel was pretty awesome. The lobby always seemed to have something going on and was a great place to hang out after work. My room was extremely small (even for a New York City hotel room), but the bed was super comfortable. I would def stay here again. Even if you don't stay here I'd highly recommend checking out the lobby. Its a great place to meet up for drinks and hang out.

Ace Hotel DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! I booked this hotel for two nights, about two and a half months in advance, for my birthday. I received a conformation email before my stay listing the price per night and additional fees for taxes or in case I brought a pet or smoked in the room. The day I was supposed to check in, I showed up hours before the room was ready and had the employees at the front desk hold my bags. I spent most of the day with a couple of friends, enjoying my time in the city, as I have done many times before. When my room was ready, I was asked to show a card for payment and proof of ID. All standard procedure. When the woman at the desk ran my card, she told me that I did not have enough money to pay for my stay. I had used my card all day for theatre tickets and lunch, etc. So I figured I must be $5-$10 short for my hotel bill. Then she showed my how much she was trying to charge to my card. ALMOST DOUBLE WHAT I WAS TOLD IN MY CONFIRMATION EMAIL! I told her what I was supposed to be charged, and she told me that I was being charged extra for "incidentals". This was not listed in the confirmation, and I showed her the message I had received on my phone. I told her that if I paid the "incidentals" fee, I would have no cash left for food and transportation, etc. She told me that if I paid part of the bill in cash, THE PRICE WOULD DOUBLE AGAIN!

The rooms are tiny, like most hotels in New York City, but the atmosphere and location are great. The rooms look like funky old school dorm rooms and have claw foot bathtubs in the bathroom. The decor is modern and rustic chic and the people it attracts are the artsy and creative types. The service is good and the bar/library downstairs is a great place to grab a cup of coffee (Stumptown) or just hang out and do some work.
