Horrible. All. Dirty. It doesn't close the door of the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The concierge guys.

As a choice hotels employee, I give this hotel 5 stars. Super clean, excellent customer service, beautifully decorated rooms and most comfortable beds. Staff is helpful with the city and a lot to offer tourist as far as info for sight seeing and transportation. Would love the opportunity to visit again someday.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. My single room was small and cozy. I found everything I needed. Perfect bed, TV, safe and coffee machine. The air conditioning was working properly. In the bathroom I found everything I needed and it was really comfortable. The breakfast was good and the staff was always kind and helpful.

We arrived a little early and were able to get in to our room. Every staff member we encountered was friendly. The hotel was so quiet and I was able to rest between activities. My son left something behind and they accommodated us by sending it to our home. When I return with my other son I will stay here again, there's a grocery deli at the corner as well as a corner convenience stand. The subway entrance was within a block. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, the bed was so comfortable, the shower OH MY! never lacked for hot water OH MY! We will stay here again when we come back… thank you Clarion staff!

The one star I give this place is mostly for the one staff member who was as helpful as she could be during my stay there. I only stayed for a few hours through the website dayuse and those 4 hours, while being good, led to about 3-4 days of grief. The room was ok, if not a bit small. Which I'm fine with. Though there was a an extra lip on the floor to the bathroom. Which ment that everytime you went in and left the bathroom you would have a small step that would kinds of trip you up. The elevator was small nut had mirrors in it to kinda of trick you into thinikng it was bigger. After my girlfriend and I had left the hotel I went to check on my debt card just to make sure how much money they took out. I found out that they had charged me about 300 dollars for a 4 hour stay. Dayuse had listed the price at 90 dollars. I went back to speak to someone at the front desk to find out what happened. I was then told that the person who checked me in was very new, barley 2 weeks in and that she booked me for a full night and not the dayuse price. I was also charged for "incedentals" in case the room was messed up or anything. Now I understand paying a security deposit on a room in case such things happen but I was not told this. I was never informed that I was going to be charged a security deposit. And the times I have been, they have told and they have been round numbers. Like 80 or 100 doallers. Not 102.13.

Me and my girlfriend had a great experience here. Front staff were very helpful with directions, AC was cold, 1 block away from the 6 train, which brought us everywhere we needed. Great location, comfortable rooms. Next door is a little dive bar Irish pub. One of the servers was from Ireland and just a delight for the evening. Honestly for the location, this was a great price. Will return.

The worst place you can imagine, dirty, noisy, small, and low customer service. You can get way better place with the same amount, they charge approximately $200 per night while we were staying. The staff looks like under paid they are not happy to help you at all, I would recommend to research more and find a better place.

The night clerk treated us af if we were imposters or something. It took her a long time to check us in and we were exhausted after a grueling car trip running away from hurricane irma. Our car was parked in front of the hotel and she told us to take the car around the back for easier access to the room, which turns out was incorrect information. I do not want to think this woman was racially profiling me. But there it is. The room was small and shabby, the pull out bed was decrepit and uncomfortable, the shower head was not working, the bathroom light switch was dangling, and there weren't enough towels. The only good thing was the breakfast and the morning staff. So no, I will never return to this hotel and will not recommend it to anyone.

Location was fine, some staff were great others stunk. Noisy all night, slamming doors talking outside my paper thin door until 230 3am. Tried to call front desk several times and no answer. I thought I could sleep anywhere, apparently not here.

I was so very happy when we checked in at midnight and was greeted warmly by the night auditor (I am pretty sure her name was Lilly). The check in was fast, efficient and she was so friendly and informative.

Decent hotel… for Manhattan.
Room furniture, tiny and antiquated decoration, old enough floor, bedding very carpet very average (maybe it depends on the rooms…)
But a very good location, friendly staff, and breakfast included.

When you & your wife walk into a Hotel carrying backpacks & pulling a suitcase & there are three employees standing there & no one else! You would think the very least they could do is welcome you?!?! Right? NO not here not a word until I said hello how are you? We made it! The lady said do you have a reservation because we are full! YES I have a reservation. $277 a night for a room the size of my closet! I know NY rooms in old buildings are small but this was a new level of small for us. The bed was way way to soft it may as well have been a water bed. Okay the good. Shower pressure was great & one good thing about the bed was they gave you plenty of pillows. Bottom line we will never stay here again & wouldn't recommend this to anyone unless you can't find anything else like us. Have a wonderful day.

It's a very nice hotel But small rooms even when u order for big we orded since before we came to the place they now have us a small room.

Everything was amazing! Really friendly staff. Good Wi-Fi. Great breakfast, made me waffles. Good location, near subway and Empire State Building. Would stay again and highly recommend.

Room was clean and breakfast was decent, but I'm an Elite Diamond Level Member, and was not offered any upgrade as my membership level offers as a perk. All of the Choice Hotels honor the free upgrade, but not this hotel. Don't stay here if you expect your Membership to be honored.

Everything was good but the room was small. Price was good for New York city, located was perfect and 20 min walking to Manhattan and time square.

Very nice hotel to spend a weekend in New York. Cheap for Manhattan standards. The room is just as big as the bed, but for very nice and well furnished. It is pretty central to visit the main sights.

Fantastic Front Desk staff and very pleasant housekeepers, hot breakfast, friendly bellman and very clean and quiet hotel.

Decent value @ $140/night, but the staff was less than helpful or friendly, and the accommodations were extremely basic. I suppose you pay for what you get.

Very good hotel great price. Staff is friendly and kind, rooms are small, but very clean. Location is perfect, only one block away the subway (4, 5 and 6) on Park Ave (Mid Town). Free Wi-Fi is available. My reservation included also breakfast that was composed by: yogurt, muffins, cereal, milk, coffee, tea, orange and apple juice, toast, butter, jam and waffles.
