Had a late check in but the staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The hotel was just a few miles from fast food restaurants for a quick bite to eat. The room was clean and comfortable, good for a nights rest before getting back on the road.

Very nice stay with them. Very friendly staff and management. We had to do laundry but they didn’t have laundry services on premises but they did our load for us. Harsh was the guy who helped us and I really appreciated their nice attitude. Good variety for breakfast too! I would definitely stay with them again!

The Super 8 was nice and the room that I got was much bigger than expected. I only stayed for one night, but had arrived near midnight and the staff member made sure I got my room quickly. Beyond that it is very close to the highway and is easy to find. The only part that I questioned was parking in the lot, which was quite open and didn't seem very secure.

It's simple people, if you are going to loose your mind over cleanliness, don't stay here. The shower had not been cleaned for the good part of a century, as far as I could tell. The bedspread had unknown stains on it. Yuck. The vanity sink had hair in it, lots of it. Don't let the pictures online fool you. It is apparent at some point they tried to upgrade the motel to make it look more modern. But like most things after the upgrade they just let it fall apart again. If you're looking for a place to rest your weary head, and you don't care about your health this is the place. I could go on for an hour, but I hope you get the picture, Hint Hint.

This hotel has 2 of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. It maybe an older hotel but it was clean. There was a microwave and refrigerator in the room without asking. The breakfast bar was basic and no elevator.

I like it. I'd definitely stay again. This is a very nice Super 8. For the price you get more of the clean comfortable accommodation than you pay 100. For at other locations.

The front desk ladies are great! The night shift guy was great, very professional. Room was huge! I had a lot of fun swimming, nice feature.

The only place I saw in this hotel was my room because I got in late and had to leave early. The room was clean and it seems like they recently did some upgrades to it as well. The couch in the room was a bit odd but I think it was because they have some covers on the cushions that are removable to be washed. Overall not a bad place to stay.

Great value for the money. Quiet room, good shower, reasonably comfortable bed, and a heated indoor pool. Courteous staff and happy guests.

It is very nice and clean motel. It is really reasonable price with all the facility, excellent breakfast. Nice place to stay and it is the first motel while you enter from the exit. The front desk manager was very generous and helpful.

I want to love this place, I really do. Other reviews presented it well, and you can tell they've taken care to update their look, but their lack of cleanliness in our room is what killed it for me. The building is older, but they've updated the interior well. The rooms are as shown in other photos — pretty blue and brown decorated bedspreads, carpets, and curtains. Large NM (southwestern) photograph/murals are very attractive "headboards" and room art. The sink has been upgraded to granite, and there's a fantastic showerhead. However the tub had not been updated and is somewhat stained and had a dirt/mold under the edge where the tub meets the side panels. The furniture in the room is dated and shows a lot of wear — drawers stick and won't close all the way, chips and chunks off of the facings/exteriors, paint splashed on them, etc. That stuff is not major though. The absolute worse part of my stay is that the room wasn't clean. It almost looks as if they didn't even attempt to clean it, other than making the beds. The carpets hadn't been vacuumed at all showing things like large and small crumbs and debris, human hair (that wasn't ours), etc. There was a chunky spill (vomit or food related issues? ) next to the garbage can on the carpet. It didn't look like anyone even attempted to clean it up. Looking around further, there were dust piles, corners that hasn't been cleaned, etc. The beds (after I made sure they looked clean between the sheets) were very comfortable.

The location is fine & it seems safe enough, but lacks terribly in cleanliness. Found hair on the toilet, in the sink, & on bathroom floor & even in between the sheets of the bed. The sink drains extremely slow as well, so maintenance & updates are necessary. I guess you get what you pay for, though. We will find somewhere else to stay next visit.

Nice clean hotel with very reasonable rates. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Conveniently located just off of I-40 at east end of Tucumcari.

Clean enough. The older middle aged housekeeper was out in the parking lot being groped by her nasty old man lover. Somewhat less than professional, but it is a Super 8. The younger houskeeper woman was very nice and professional.

Pleasant surprise! By far one of the cleanest, nicest hotels on route 40. Room was large, non-smoking, clean with fun decor. Comfy bed, lots of pillows, & quiet. Great spot to rest your head on a long drive. Highly recommend.

For the price you can't beat this place. Large clean room with comfortable bed and good breakfast. We will stay again when in the area. Del's restaurant on route 66 is a good place to eat.

This hotel has very good serbisio.

My daughter got into bed to sleep and she saw blood that turned out to be feces on the sheets and side of the bed. I touched it to see if it was a stain and it was not. I touched someone's feces due to the sheets not being changed by the housekeepers, obviously. Told the front desk and was told no it was from the housekeeping cart. So, the hotel thought it was acceptable to leave the dirty sheets on the bed. They gave us new sheets to change ourselves and $20 back. Washed and scrubbed my hands so many times. Disgusting overall experience.

It's got everything you need to be comfortable. I was happy to see it after a long day.

The non smoking rooms were in a separate building which really impressed me. The rooms were really nice and very clean — and I had a room that alliwed pets! I had a king size room with a small living room and a refrigerator. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. The price was OUTSTANDING! The breakfast in the morning was another big surprise. A nice waffle bar — fresh fruit, bagels & muffins… too much to remember. It was great! I would definitely recommend this super 8 to everyone!

We had a great stay at this hotel, the staff was very helpful and the breakfast was the best of all the Super 8 that we stayed in while my wife and I kicking it at Route 66.

Excellently newly renovated. Some kinks remain, but the management & staff could not be nicer. Quality for a low price. Indoor pool is perfect for the hot weather.

We stopped here to sleep on the way home from a long trip. We were happy we did. The room was very nice, the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet. If you're staying to see Tucumcari, it is comfortable enough for a multi-night stay.

Certainly family owned. Be prepared to be welcomed by the family. I enjoyed how they all seemed to be so accommodating. The room was nice and clean, didn't have that old moldy smell. The food was good and I don't usually speak about food unless it's really eatable and it was. I would certainly return if I ever traveled this way. By the way, the decaf coffee was really good and strong — the way I like it and that really grabbed my attention.

Last minute stop. Rooms fairly spacious, beds were comfortable. Pool was clean and warm. TV selection somewhat limited and the wireless was very slow. Breakfast was decent, nothing exciting, but no quality issues. Would stay again if I was in the area.

Good chains of motels to spend the night!

The room itself was clean. However not enough blankets to be comfortable, not enough towels, the shower head was hard for me to fit under. (I am 5'4"). The door stuck so badly to the bathroom freaked my kids out. Hairdryer didn't work, and they were out of waffles for breakfast, completely out of mix but didn't say anything, so we waited for waffles that were never gonna happen, lol. Bottom line, clean and safe enough, friendly staff. I'd stay again by myself, but not with anyone taller. ;) I think it should priced about $10 less a night.

The Super 8 in Tucumcari is not a high class establishment but it is not priced high class either. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable enough, and the morning breakfast was sufficient. One surprisingly bright spot was a great air conditioner. It actually made the room cold enough that I got out of bed during the night to adjust the thermostat up. I don't recall ever doing that in a hotel room before.

We have stayed at this hotel twice. The first time we were lucky as it was the only hotel to have an available room in the area. Our latest time we just decided hey, let's just go ahead and call it a night. Both times it has met our needs quite well as it was our overnight rest stop. We found the beds to be comfortable and the staff which we dealt with sociable. We intend to stay here again. We really never heard much noise from other rooms.

The hotel is very dated and rundown. The floors were obviously dirty and the fronto desk person was not very personable. They claim to be a pet friendly establishment but the charge a $10.00 pet fee.

Comfortable if a little dated. Breakfast prominently features a make-your-own waffle station which is definitely a step up from standard continental breakfast fare. It couldn't possibly be more convenient to I-40 if you're looking for a spot to hop on and off along your journey.

Indoor pool was pretty nice. Didn't stay in the room long enough to say much other than it was a room and it worked for the night.

Room comfy. Continental breakfast brutal. Apparently when booking, it was a 1-888 number. Checked in & it was told we couldn't change our payment type. We gave CC card as normal for a hold. Always paid with US debit. Looks like this company is a travel agent, who books for this independent Super 8. Now price was different, then add the exchange. Could have stayed at a Hilton. We will fight this one. Wasn't even worth &$50.

Ship shape, clean room, slept like a baby! Awesome service, will be back.

I started at the Motel 6 across the street and asked her about the cleanliness of their rooms. She said "you might be better off at the Super 8 if you are concerned about that". She was very nice and after getting to my room at the Super 8 I was very happy she pushed me in this direction. Very clean. No stink. I usually stay in Marriott properties and this one is on part with theirs in terms of cleanliness. I'd go 5 stars but their morning staff was disorganized and was having trouble getting the 'free breakfast' stuff together. So, I went to get fast food breakfast on the way out rather than waiting for them to get their act together.
