Love staying at Holiday Inn Express rooms are great always clean room was cool and comfortable.

I ask to used the computer and the front desk guy told me I couldn't because the area is closed. Ok I understand, May you please print a paper for me? his answer NO, I can't. Ok. They also offered me breakfast lol what a joke! continental breakfast but They charged you as a 5star hotel. Never again. Way to treat an essential health employee.

Employees do NOT wear masks and claim that they are exempt from the mask policy. General Manager does not seem to care about this violation. Protect yourself and stay far away.

I'm in a suite at the Holiday inn Express and suites New Mexico it is a great room big to big gigantic wall TVs a little kitchen area indoor pool heated great customer service at the front desk comfortable beds really enjoying this day free breakfast tomorrow I'm sure it'll be great.

We would stay here again, good food for breakfast, a lot of space in the double room, room and bathroom very clean.

Check in was quick and front desk staff was friendly and very welcoming! Very disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. We stayed last year and we were pleased. Refrigerator barely works. Dirt and hair behind the entry door. Pulled out the ice bucket and the lid is yucky and debris behind the ice bucket. I won’t even touch the “your guide to be the readiest” brochure. I think your cleaning checklist may need looked at. Safe to say we won’t be back.

Experience was excellent, nice cool air conditioner when I went to the room.

Extremely Clean and Friendly Staff.

Worst hotel we've ever stayed at. Paper thin walls, rude guests, & an obviously just done bad remodel on the bathrooms. They advertise Cinnabons but they were gone by 7 a. M. And they don't restock them. Just a noisy, unenjoyable visit.

Stayed here twice the end of August 2018. They were in the process of a big remodel. The rooms seemed finished, but the halls were torn up a bit. But, even with this going on, the rooms were so nice. The bathroom had a large mirror above the sink with what had to be florescent lights around the entire mirror. It really lit up the bathroom. The entire place smelled new. It was a very good stay and we will stay here again. The desk worker could not have been more helpful. Good memories.

Holiday won't let me send a review of the place from the web site asking me the same its been like 5 months and the renos are still not done, rooms are half completed. And the $ charge are if it was done. The number one reason I stay is the parking. Will look at other locations in the future.

Arrived late! They were remodeling, our room was completed and was very nice. The bed was cert comfortable. Very clean! Our window was cracked and had tape over it but understandable.

1 night stay. Remodeled rooms. Beds were fantastic. Nice soft mattress! But the window curtains we're nasty & smelly. Shower curtain smelled. Bathroom molding needs attention. And the fire sprinkler over the bed was plainly just sticking out from ceiling with no cover over it, which they always have. And there were 2 dirty wash rags hanging over the over curtain. So there was only 1 clean wash tag to use. Don't get me wrong, the hotel isn't nasty. But the rooms need more attention to this so called "remodel" project. This should be a 5 star review. They do have ample parking. Including for vehicles with trailers. Front desk people very nice. McDonald's and Subway just across the street. I try to stay faithful to certain hotel groups, but if Holiday Inn can not step up to the quality they used to have, I may go elsewhere.

Very nice hotel with a lot of additional amenities; free fruit, cookies, and fresh lemon water available around the clock for the arriving traveler. Within walking distance of convenience store and several restaurant serving local foods and restaurant chains. Plenty of parking and even several Tesla electric car refill stalls. This will be my ONLY hotel when traveling through Tucumcari.

We drove in late and glad we found this amazing place! Friendly, clean and the rooms so nice. Staff was amazing and the breakfast was awesome. We will come back for sure! Good job staff!

They were being remodeled during our stay but they were very hospitable. There new up grade will be very nice they even have installed charging stations for Tesla owners.

Working on room still. Handicapped room was definitely not handicap accessible. Step in tub with shower head not walk in shower. Had hard time lifting leg to get in. Beds were way to high so had a hard time getting into bed. Other than that it was ok.

Nice hotel. They are renovating it right now so there is some construction but it does not cause any problems for guests. Handicap accessible Suite it is great. It does have a handicap tub but it's very low and not difficult to step in. Very helpful staff.

Was told rooms were mostly finished.
However, when we got into our room at 9:30 pm, there were boot prints anf ling dark hairs all over bathroom floor. No towel rods in bathroom to hang towels on. Base board molding in bathroom was pulling away from wall. Sure these are things left to finish, but the boot prints and hair in bathroom floor is unacceptable for a charge if $140.00 per night when other Holiday Inn Xpress locations are on average, $20.00 to $35.00 per night less.
In the end, place will be very nice when finished.

Renovation was very welcomed! Spent 5 nights there and it was a pleasant experience. Room was clean and staff was friendly. It would be 5 stars since it looked like they are using the room before punch list stuff was completed like the wallpaper has areas that are peeling and had holes from where previous equipment and pictures used to be. Not a big deal but with everything clean and new it stuck out like a sore thumb. Still some renovating going on but nothing that affected my stay.

Everything was wonderful as far as service. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The rooms were under renovation and therefore had some small issues. Our wallpaper had some small holes. The curtains wouldn't close all the way. Other than that everything was great. Breakfast was what you'd expect at a hotel. The location off the interstate was convenient.

Currently remodeling. Should be nice when finished. Restaurants within easy walking distance.

Horrible, rooms were run down, male staff at desk was rude. Could not get the TV to work. He said he would give us an AARP discount and when we got out bill he had not applied it. No one at front desk to change it. The price they charged was more than listed on the internet. We will never try another Holiday Inn Express!

Used to stop here all the time, has really gone downhill. Desk blaimes it on remodel, you dont have to wait on a carpenter to replace a bad shower curtain!

This was an awesome hotel. The rooms were very integrated with technology having backlights available on almost all the furniture, and also having outlets integrated into the furniture.

Pool closed. Areas under construction. Otherwise would be up to par.

A little pricey compared to other Holiday Inn Expresses.

The town is very small but luckily they have a Holiday Inn to stay at. There are undergoing Renovations so everything is new.

Lobby was updated and nice. Great breakfast. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were a little older, especially the bathrooms. Old wallpaper and the baseboards were coming away from the wall. Floor length mirror closet door was old and creaky, causing annoyance from my toddler who couldn't stay away! Room was acceptable but I thought the price range was a little high for the room condition.

The room was nice and so were the bathrooms. The service was great and breakfast was outstanding!

Good place, second TV didn't work in suite but they are rennovating currently so that's why they get a 4 and not a 5.

Arrived late, only 3 rooms left. Clerk wouldn't give gov't discount like the other Holiday inn Express the last two weeks of vacation. Remodeling, great beds and pillows, with many updates still undone (as stated in other reviews months ago). Breakfast was adequate. Spoke with Lucille at front desk (very polished, polite and professional) who asked about our stay AND refunded us the government discount! Thank you, Lucille and Happy New year!

Needs some renovation but it's clean and quiet. There are Tesla chargers in the parking lot of you happen to have a Tesla. The free breakfast is not great, but it is free.

Wonderful and friendly staff. Clean rooms, beds linens everything. Breakfast was excellent. I just wish there were step stools to get up into the beds. Not easy if you have short legs! Otherwise everything was perfect!

Nice rooms. Nice, hot continental breakfast, and lots of friendly staff. It would have 5 stars, if they took out the trash in the building and around front more often.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I think something may have bit my daughter on the face during the night. When she woke up she had a big red spot and bump on her forehead. The room we stayed in smelled, the bathroom had ripped wallpaper, the AC in the room quit halfway through the night and there wasnt AC in the common areas at all. The breakfast pastries were hard and the muffins had something crusty on them. The only thing that was ok to eat was the bananas. I will never be back there again. The price was way more expensive than it should be for a place like that and for a Holiday Inn. They must have raised the prices to pay for the "renovations" they were supposedly doing.

I've stayed at Holiday Inn Express all over the country. This one ranks near the bottom. The Internet connection is nonexistent, the building side door won't close (poor security), one treadmill in the exercise room is broken, the refrigerator makes a noise like an alarm clock going off about every 30 minutes.

The room we were in had black mold in the bathroom. The tub and shower was gross I could not even get in it. The sheets did not fit the bed. I have never been so disappointed in a place to stay in my life. Even with a government discount it was 125.00 a nite I have stayed in better for 85.00 we will try not to have this experience again. They did not even how was our stay when we left. They need to work customer service if the room are that nasty.

Room was clean and beds were new so very stiff but good. This one was way cleaning and smelled better then the one in Gallop! The night clerk was relatively short in conversation but still nice. Breakfast was great the pancake machine was delicious.

The amenities are what you would expect. Indoor pool, hot tub, workout room and pool table were nice touches. Stayed here when I-40 was closed due to snow storm a few days ago. Manager only let a few people use the shovel before hiding it to keep others from leaving. The front desk kept telling people there was no way out and encouraged people to book multiple nights. A highway Northbound could get people around and we had to take a significant detour but got us out of this place. Hotel was nice, rooms were comfortable staff were deceptive.

In town for the weekend, spent two nights, the kids liked the pool (even though there was apparently a shortage of pool towels). There was lots of work out equipment in a tiny space. Unlike most other HIE's the breakfast area was not laid out very well, too much waisted space and the coffee table was crammed in the corner. The hotel was quite and beds may have been replaced recently, they were very comfortable. A blow drier was missing in my daughter's room, the bedside clock didn't keep time. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Excellent service, clean facilities, comfortable beds. Front desk, Amanda, checked us in late last night, 3/22 after we broke down 20 minutes out of town. Breakfast was the usual HIE Continental variety, but fully stocked and clean, and the attendant was nice and accommodating. The Front desk this morning was also accommodating, extending a late check out and wishing us blessings on the rest of our trip! It's always nice to have great customer service, especially when other parts of the trip are not going as planned.

Typical Holiday Inn except the check-in manager didn't seem to want to be there and the towels had stains. The breakfast was average and the coffee was horrible as always.

Although I only stayed one night at this Holiday Inn, I was pleasantly surprised. When we walked in, we were greeted with smiling faces at the front desk. We also requested extra towels and blankets, and were promptly given them. The rooms were clean, as were the bathrooms. The kitchenette, though obviously small, was better than any one I've seen in a hotel. I was also pleased with the two televisions in our room. The breakfast area seemed well stocked and was both clean and large. I do recommend this hotel and would stay again.

I stayed at this hotel in 2008 on my way home to Kansas after a vacation in Arizona. The hotel was fairly new at the time and very clean. My three teenage daughters and I only stayed at the hotel for approximately 12 hours. Once I returned home and was checking my bank account, I realized the hotel had charged me an additional $250 (I had used a debit card and the money had immediately been withdrawn from my account — after I had checked out). I called them and they told me they charged me $250 because I had a dog in my room. They stated a maintenance man had heard the dog plus they found dog hair in the room after I left. I absolutely, 100% did not have a dog with me and told them this. This hotel is full of cameras and I told them to check their video. They told me there was no need to because they had "proof" with the dog hair. Keep in mind that they didn't advise me that a maintenance man claimed to hear a dog when I was checking out — they waited until I left, to charge me the extra fee. This was a total scam and I had to contact the Better Business Bureau who suggested to the hotel that they return my money. I finally did receive my money back but after much hassle on my part. But that's not all… 2 of my daughters were missing swimming suits from their suitcases and when I went to do laundry, a hotel passkey was in one of our bags.

Nice room to sleep in, but the hallways were warm and there were no biscuits when I got down to breakfast, and they don't have real butter. It's not the best HIE I've stayed in, but it meets the standards.

Everything was clean and in good repair. The desk person, who was also the manager, bright a small crib down to our room for us for the baby we brought with us. Good breakfast.

We stayed here twice, once on our way to Oklahoma and then on our way home. The first time we arrived around 12 am after a long day or driving and the staff member on duty (I didn't get his name) was so accomodating! He offered us food and water to take back up to our room which was great because we hadn't eaten in about 5 hours. Breakfast is also great! Didn't get to use the fitness room, pool, or gaming room because it was a quick stay but we still enjoyed it. Thank you!

Very nice place to stay for the night… The people were so nice the next day when we left.
