Review of Best Western Discovery Inn 2*

Don't let the immaculate lobby fool you! If I could give a zero I would! My husband and I just checked in and our room is disgusting! It smells like stale beer and old food. Check in was odd… when she couldn't find my PO for work, she said she was going to let whoever came in tomorrow "deal with that", it wasn't her problem. When I got to my room, I immediately called the front desk. I wanted them to send someone to see if they could clean the room; I was told they don't have anyone. I asked if she could at least move the chair out of the room (because one can assume the smell permeates from there), I was told no. The only thing she could do was move me to a double queen (mind you my company is paying for a king suite). She assured me the rate would stay the same… $103+ with tax. I'm sure THAT room would be the same, dirty and smelly. Not to mention, for a queen the rate should be cheaper. When I told her I would just move the chair out into the breeze way until she could send someone to deal with it, she accused me of stealing… one would have to be pretty desperate to steal that dirty, filthy chair. (If you've ever watched Coming to America, picture the scene where the family gets up off the sofa and leaves grease marks on the back of it… this is ten times worse! ) I was rude because she got rude. When I asked for a manager she told me there wasn't one. I told her not to lie to me, she hung up on me and won't answer the phone now. If I didn't have to stay here for work, I would have left when she said there was no elevator… I travel with a large suitcase for the weeks worth of clothes I need and two more cases full of paperwork. again, do not waste your time or money here!
