Reviews of AZUR HOTEL
Hands off. We spent a night there. Extremely spartanic, which might still be expected. However, that the shower is not working in the morning is unacceptable. Not a drop of water, regardless of what we tried. Reception closed. When we complain to AirBB, the guy at the reception claims the WE broke the shower.
So if you read this and still give them a chance, expect this to happen.
Overall, a rip off of tourists which they only expect to come once.
It's not a hotel, rather a homeless junky shelter, there is a guy living there for 8 months "that's what he told me", the guy is literally a junky, he has other friends living in other rooms and also other friends who seem to be homeless around the church next to the location of the hotel. His friends have no problem coming very early in the morning and shouting and waking up everyone sleeping. The cleaning staff start cleaning between 8am and 9am which is unheard of. The owners of the hotel don't care because they know there is housing and a hotel crisis on the island so they are using the situation to their own financial benefit offering a very bad hospitality product. The junky guy behaves very dominant in the shared room, basically the fridge and the AC is under his command, you can not use it or he'll just bully you. The one million dollar question is that how can the French authorities allow such a situation to exist given La reunion is part of France, very bad experience, I don't recommend it.
