As a vegan, traveling can sometimes be a challenge. Not so with Steve and Kathy at Bottger! Steve made me beautiful and delicious plant-based, whole foods every morning! I felt so spoiled! Also, their facilities were spotless and I felt completely safe staying there during Covid. I highly recommend Bottger Mansion and look forward to staying there again!

Currently enjoying our third visit to Bottger Mansion, and feeling the stress of daily life melting away, as it seems to do in this special place. Steve and Kathy are the perfect hosts. If you need recommendations on where to go for local shopping, dining, or entertainment, they are the best source you could want. If you enjoy amazing breakfasts and comfortable accommodations, look no further. If you enjoy a sense of place and local history, this is the place to be. I’m already thinking of next time when I can return.

The building is beautiful and It's kept absolutely spotless, the standards are very high. The proprietors are hospitable and welcome you warmly. In fact, I wasn't having a straight forward time with travel complications and they did everything they could to help even though it was a short stay. 10/10 when it comes to looking after their guests… oh and the breakfasts are great.

This is a great place and lived up to all the reviews I had read about it before we booked. Steve and Kathy couldn't be better hosts and the location in Albuquerque couldn't be beat. It's a short walk to old town — about one block — and a quiet and comfortable place to stay. Really great breakfast in the morning too! Highly recommended!

A special treasure! We went for a girls' trip and discovered breakfasts that are a foodie's dream, comfortable accommodations, terrific flexibility (we arrived quite late and still felt welcomed), and the perfect mix of warmth and space from our hosts, Kathy and Steve. Kathy also made a difference on the next leg of our journey, steering us off the beaten path to places we would never have found on our own. The property is gorgeous and steps from Old Town. We loved it.

This was our second stay at the Bottger Mansion; we loved it so much before that we brought friends with us this time. The location is ideal: we walked to restaurants and shops in Old Town, to the Natural History Museum, to the downtown square, and to the pick up spot for the ABQ Trolley Tour. We got great exercise, then spent the late afternoons sitting in the yard sipping wine and watching the kitties. The breakfasts were delicious, the rooms charming and the hosts friendly and helpful. This is a gem!

Staying at the Bottger Mansion was our first experience staying in a Bed & Breakfast, and it was absolutely wonderful! Steve and Kathy were wonderful hosts, ensuring our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as it could be. Waking up after a restful night and having the opportunity to eat a delicious breakfast outside was such a pleasant experience. It was also nice to make the aquaintance of the cats that roam the grounds. We would highly recommend staying at the Bottger Mansion if the opportunity presents itself. Located only a short walk away from Old Town, it's the perfect place to stay that combines comfort, history, and a friendly atmosphere.

I’ve stayed at the Bottger Mansion for five consecutive years during my annual trips to Albuquerque. I love staying at the Bottger, Kathy and Steve welcome you with open arms and make you feel like your staying at your home away from home. They are very knowledgeable in the best places to see and where to eat. The Mansion is well maintained and clean, the grounds are beautiful. The location couldn’t be more perfect you can walk everywhere from the Bottger. I love having Kathy’s home made cookies and a cup of chai tea in the evenings and you don’t want to miss Steve’s homemade gourmet breakfast they are delicious. I have enjoyed every breakfast I’ve eaten there.

We were extremely happy with Bottger Mansion. It was very comfortable and every need met. The atmosphere and owners were wonderful. Especially enjoyed the delicious breakfasts! Cats were an added bonus!

We stayed for two nights in early December 2017: it was fantastic. Gorgeous room, gorgeous building, fantastic breakfast, fabulous hosts, amazing coffee (best we had in all our US trip! ). A real pleasure to stay there and we sure will repeat if we go back to Albuquerque.

If you are looking for a welcoming and cozy bed and breakfast place: you just found it! The owners are extremely friendly and welcoming, breakfast is delicious and the rooms are cute as a button and clean. Bottger Mansion is right at entrance to Old Town. We enjoyed our stay very mich and will be back for sure.

Great location near Old Town restaurants and shops. The hosts went out of their way to provide information regarding a scenic route in New Mexico that we discussed. The breakfast was wonderful as well!

Great location in Old Town, it is on Route 66, the breakfast is great, try the prickly pear juice blend while sitting in the court yard. Room was adorable and included historical information about the building. Wife loved the footy bathtub.

Loved it! I did a lot of research prior to booking here — no regrets, it was the perfect choice. The location is great, the room was spacious and well appointed, the breakfasts were amazing, and the hosts were gracious and helpful. Recommend highly and would love to return one day.

I had never been to a bed and breakfast before and this was a lovely introduction. My room was very cute; clean and quiet. The Mansion is on the outskirts of Old Town and close to I-40, so it made exploring Albuquerque so easy. Breakfasts were yummy and our hosts were lovely, willing to take time to share places to see and a bit of their lives as well. Like visiting an old friend one had not seen in awhile. The grounds are well kept and eating breakfast in the garden was lovely.

We highly recommend "Bottger Mansion"! We had the pleasure of staying 3 nights and enjoyed 2 gourmet breakfasts! The courtyard is a lovely place to sit and enjoy a relaxing afternoon under lovely old trees. We can't say enough about the location and free parking! Steve and Kathy are wonderful Inn Keepers. They had anticipated our every need. Our room was a delight and breakfasts were amazing, well prepared and beautifully served. A wonderful B&B experience. We highly recommend!

Wonderful 6 night stay at the Bottger Mansion in Albuquerque. Great location, comfortable room, and the breakfasts were incredible. Hard to choose my favorite — orange challah French toast, cheese soufflé, green Chile Quiche? I highly recommend this place.

We stay at this B&B every time we visit Albuquerque because it is in a convenient location, has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and the rooms are very clean. Each room has different features, making it fun to try a new one with each stay. Steve and Kathy are extremely knowledgeable about the area and make it easy to have the vacation you want to have.

The accommodations were comfortable and roomy. Especially delightful were the breakfasts with great food and conversation. We plan to return. It was nice just walking to Old Town and seeing the sights.

We arrived on a snowy and cold afternoon to a warm welcome. Our stay was comfortable and relaxing, in a room that reflected history, but had every comfort we could have wished. Clean, well run, smoke free, with really good breakfasts and tea/coffee and cookies available at all times, it is located right in Old Town, one block from the plaza. Our hosts were great, sharing advice and history of the house and the area, as well as looking up road conditions for us. We certainly hope to get back to the Bottger Mansion!

My wife and I stayed at this absolut fantastic place in July 2015. The room was fabulous and the breakfast was outstanding. We sent a few pictures of the cat to the owners. They are brilliant kind. If we want to visit Albuquerque again, this will be our first choice for a stay.

This inn is a fabulous oasis in the heart of Old Town. The attention to detail is amazing — such as homemade sorbet on the fresh fruit at breakfast. Wonderful, knowledgeable hosts who provide a 5 star experience.

Beautiful and charming old mansion in the middle of Old Town. Steve and Kathy run a great B&B! Even from the booking, they had great communication, were incredibly helpful, and made our stay very pleasant. Not to mention, their breakfast was incredible!

My wife and I stayed two nights at Bottger Mansion in July 2015. The location is excellent since the mansion is within easy walking distance to Old Town, restaurants, and at least two museums. The mansion is also within easy driving distance of the botanical gardens, the zoo, additional museums (such as the Museum of Nuclear Science) and other places to visit. We also enjoyed the convenience if having parking places reserved for mansion guests. That was nice! When we arrived, I mentioned to Steve that we had just come from riding the narrow-gauge railroads in Durango, CO, and Chama, NM. So Steve told us about the restoration of Santa Fe No. 2926, a steam locomotive that pulled some of Santa Fe's most famous passenger trains in the 40s and 50s. We visited the restoration that Saturday, and were given a grand tour by one of the volunteers, who was a mechanical engineer who retired from the nuclear lab in Albuquerque and who was very interesting to talk to. We recommend that anyone who is interested in trains visit the 2926 restoration. It is amazing. As for our stay at the mansion, we enjoyed just relaxing in our room during the summer afternoon heat. The bed was comfortable, and the restroom was clean and spacious. It was a special room because it was Steve's train room! In fact, Steve said that the Lionel train displayed on a shelf in the room was his first model train. In addition, we thoroughly enjoyed breakfast in the courtyard.

The Bottger is an Albuquerque gem. The owners are wonderful hosts and generously share information about the area. The Old Town location provides a unique experience. There are many shopping and dining opportunities. Our room was comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. We shared breakfast with a delightful couple from New York who were taking a day trip to Santa Fe by train. My favorite memory was enjoying the beautiful gardens. Kathy shares her flower seeds, and they will soon be blooming in my Minnesota garden.

Lovely accommodations. The location was perfect. Our room was wonderful, the bed comfortable and the sun room delightful. Our hosts were warm and welcoming. The breakfast delicious.

Great location right on the edge of Old Town. A beautiful historic house with charm and character. The home cooked breakfast is delicious! Steve and Kathy think of everything from having available books on the local scene to browse through, to coffee, tea, and baked goodies, to recommendations of food and museums.

We spent four nights at Bottger and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Kathy and Steve wonderful hosts and very helpful. Kathy happily shared restaurant suggestions for our stay in the Old town. Steve made and absolutely scrumptious breakfast. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. If the weather had been a little warmer, we would have enjoyed sitting out in the courtyard and just being lazy. Would definitely stay here again when we go back to Albuquerque.

Lovely bed and breakfast in the heart of Old Town Albuquerque. Hosts were quite accommodating, our room was quiet, sparkling clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed the high ceilings, interesting furnishings, and the feeling of snug safety.

Our stay at Bottger Mansion B and B was very nice! A beautiful, comfortable, very clean room with lots of amenities, the inn keepers were very nice, and very interested in our stay being as comfortable and personal as they could make it. Our breakfast was SO GOOD! First class all the way. I am really looking forward to receiving some of their recipes in upcoming issues of their email newsletters. We will be back for sure if we ever find ourselves in Albuquerque again. We highly recommend this B and B :).

What a delightful place. The hosts are incredible, the rooms immaculate, and the ambience — from the front yard where the hummingbirds kindly allow human company to the awesome gourmet breakfasts — will astound. Steve and Kathy, who own and run the B&B appear to really enjoy what they do and graciously share their love of their city and area with all of their guests. Stay here and enjoy a wonderful B&B.
