Great place to stay and easy to get to everything. Loved the hotel. We especially enjoyed Joseph and James and they are exceptional employees!

The rooms were very nice different I loved it.

The rooms were stuffy and small. The air was not on in the hallways so it was extremely hot. The beds were super soft and very low to the floor. One of our rooms had ants in the bed. The free drinks taste like lime juice. This is not a hotel I would recommend to anyone.

Hotel is very overrated. Our room floor was dirty and had slight smell. There is ZERO food here despite what the website says. There’s no cafe or prepared meals to grab. Unsure about breakfast. There is a poorly stocked pantry with plenty of White Claws. Only one elevator goes to our floor. You have to get in and send up other. Phone doesn’t work in room and the entire property suffers from neglect. The floor in our room doesn’t even meet wall. Very disappointed and upset at the price I paid. The “lightening fast” Wi-Fi barely works. There are much better options.

Love the modern and up to date look. Atmosphere is very nice and upscale.

This was our first time staying in a Moxy hotel and we will definitely be back. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean. The vibe was fun and young. Our room was so cute! The shower and bed was our favorite things.

Had a good stay; so I thought. I would caution anyone staying here beware. I stayed here July 13 one night only. On July 17 I was charged a $273 smoking fee. I do not smoke have never smoked. I was also told a journal and a pair of shoes was left in the room. None of which is mine. The property is refusing to refund (still fighting it) and the manager is very unwilling to help. I had to call corporate and a waiting an investigation, my next step is an attorney. I am so disappointed in Marriott and will tell everyone this horror story. I was told these items were found two days after my stay. So staff had access to the room for two days… Do not stay here but if you do have someone check your room after you check out because shady staff will go in and leave stuff that you will be charged for.

Will never stay here again. Checked into a FILTHY room with a dead roach in the room. Not able to move rooms, pathetic apologies, and can’t do anything till maybe morning. Only offered free drinks for compensation.

Amazing experience from beginning to end. We booked VERY last minute (same day) and they hooked us up with a beautiful room 2 beds. The room was clean and the hotel is SUPER trendy. Loved the vibe and 24 hour bar! staff was knowledgeable and even hooked us up with some free stuff since it was our first time in NOLA. Definitely will be back!

The room is small but adequately sized for a night or two when you’re spending all day doing tourist stuff. Super funky. Totally laid back vibe. It feels good to be here. The staff has been wonderful. Polite. Accommodating. They suggest solutions if you’re wondering about parking parking, early check in or out. 5 stars. Would recommend.

There were ants all over our room and the two people at the front desk were extremely unprofessional, especially Tanesha. One was wearing a t shirt and they were behind the desk talking about changing someone to a less nice room since they booked on a cheaper site. They refused to let us out of our reservation even with an ant infested room. This is not Marriott standard and is the worst Marriott brand hotel I’ve ever stayed in 10 years. Unprofessional staff and ant infested rooms for $292 which is absurd for the horrible hotel. Still waiting for our refund and the general manager to call us after 2 months. Complete incompetence from top to bottom. Do not stay here.

Dirty run down hotel with no air conditioning and I’ll equipped staff. Save your time and money and stay at the Aloft around the corner. It’s comparably priced but leaps and bounds above the quality of the moxy. This is so off brand for any Marriott I have every stayed in. Do not waste your time!

Great staff! Friendly front desk, housekeeping and engineering. Rooms are pretty cool, different, but cool. Location is perfect. Walking distance to everything. I would stay again when I visit NOLA.

Was here four nights. What a Great Spot. Easy walking distance to the French Quarter, sites downtown and let's not forget about restaurants. Super Great staff, make you feel at home. Next time back, will be staying here.

Was a very interesting hotel concept. The staff was amazing and very friendly. The room was good but very different, and the blankets were so thin I froze all night even after turning up the thermostat. Wish there was a coffee maker in the room as well. But Overall it was great.

The place smells amazing. The staff is absolutely wonderful. Joe was especially fabulous. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We felt pampered. When we come back to New Orleans we will definitely come back to stay at the Moxy.

Moxy lives up to its name. Everything from the phone message you get when calling the hotel, to the front desk which is actually the bar, to the pickup line written in the elevator, its all carefully crafted to be part of the experience. But don't be fooled by the trendy look and feel. At its heart this is a luxurious hotel. The rain shower was fantastic. The bed was wonderful. The furnishings were eclectic but tastefully so.
I had never been to or heard of the hotel prior to my stay but now that I have, I'd put it right up there with a W Hotel in terms of quality but I'd say it's actually more accessable than the W. Overall I highly recommend this place!

To start with the lobby is very nice and inviting. They give you a complimentary welcome drink and have a 24 hr bar. The hotel is geard toward a younger crowd. The front desk staff was friendly and we checked in fast and the room was ready early. The online photos are deceiving the room was small with zero frills. The shower was cold as it was broken. The bed was soft but too small and the two pillows were not enough. We returned to our room after dinner the window had leaked and wet my suitcase and clothing. They offered to dry it. And rebutting my claim said the windows sweat… no iron in our room or floor for that matter. The manager was nice about but I decided to leave.

Great staff! Super modern. Wonderful rates! The welcome drink when you check in at the bar was a very nice touch! And how cool is it to check in at a bar! The lobby was so modern yet comfortable! Short walk to everything. Very comfortable rooms. I see complaints on reviews about them having no toiletries and the staff not being responsive. That isn't true. They just use big bottles instead if the tiny bottles. Its more eco friendly which is common in modern hotels. The staff went above and beyond for us and our friends that also stayed there. Our friends that always stay in 1 of the fancy hotels came by our rooms, they loved it so much they said they are staying their from now on. We will be back!

This is one of my favorite hotels in the world and I travel A LOT. You actually check in at a the bar (which is open 24hrs! ) so you know you're at some place special. The service is attentive and quickly address any problems you might have. The location is close to Bourbon Street but not so close that you smell the urine/vomit/rotting food. The price is also very nice here … give it a shot!

This hotel was the most amazing, beautiful, fun hotel I've ever stayed at. The people and the atmosphere was so fun and entertaining. The free drink at check-in is on point. And the free snacks and coffee are a plus. I love this place and will def be returning and recommending.

The hotel itself is nice. The decor is modern and exactly what you would expect from a Moxy. Given that it's a Moxy, you can already expect it to differ from other Marriott properties in the ways that they do things, but I didn't expect that once of those differences would be the complete disappearance of basic, decent customer service that I've experienced at other Marriott properties. The hotel staff and management — while not rude — are unwilling and seemingly unable to own up to their mistakes, even when misinformation (something that goes against basic codes of conduct for Marriott employees) ends up costing a customer over $350. I've expressed my discontent with this Moxy in as many platforms as possible. Mainly, I write this review so hopefully someone will see it and instead go to one of the many other hotels in the area instead of making the same mistake that I did.

Love the look, love the atmosphere, and LOVED the Got Moxy signature drink. No closets but who needs them? I never unpack my suitcase anyway. Beds are incredible and I felt the toilets were luxury. Prime location and unbelievably comfortable lobby. If you have a lot of luggage be aware that you need to carry it in yourself and the dollies aren't the best, but if you travel light, you will have an amazing experience.

Reasonably priced hip hotel 1 block from the French quarter. There is a bar in the lobby which is where you check in. The lighting and décor give the place a night club like feel. A little over the top but fun. Room was clean and seemed brand new. Bed was comfortable.

Eclectic retro style hotel. Staff friendly. Rooms spacious but sparsely furnished. Lobby is also a bar and check-in is at the bar. Location is easy walking distance to French Quarter and Bourbon Street area as well as Canal Street.

Such a cute hotel! Check in at the bar and you get a sample of a drink on arrival. The staff was very nice and even offered advice for great dinner spots. The rooms are great, modern and minimalist! Only problem is, I’m one of those weirdos who likes to unpack when I stay at hotels and there was no where to lay out my clothes! But the free skittles and 24 hour gym made up for that!

Boutique style hotel. The check in desk is the bar. Free coffee in the lobby at breakfast. Rooms are modern. Beds comfortable. Parking garages close by at additional cost.

Slightly disappointed that this turned out to be a Marriott subsidiary but never mind. Room was comfortable and clean. Our first room was much smaller than expected and with no window. We managed to get moved to a larger one with a window, which was much nicer. There was some street noise but not unacceptable. Location is good.

Only day two of our stay, but our family of three has been loving it so far. My husband especially loves the Chromecast and my toddler loves the games in the lobby and of course sleeping with us on the king size bed. I really appreciate the wooden floors and clean aesthetic of the room. I have no apprehension about letting my kiddo play on the floor like I do in most hotel rooms. Also the large shampoo and conditioner totally beat the tiny bottles you usually get and throw away every day. In the morning there is self serve coffee and in the evenings jars of snacks. Tonight we had goldfish crackers which were a huge hit with my kid obviously. The no frills, like no fridge and no safe are worth the affordable cost and good location.

There is nowhere else our Mardi Gras krewe Mystic Mafia would rather stay than this hip joint — within walking distance to Bourbon! If you are with your girls/guys or looking for a place to get rowdy and have some fun after you had back from a hard day in the Quarter this is your place!

Excellent location. Fun lobby, for all ages. Some rooms are larger than others, so be warned Three of us in one room, and had to take the leather hanging headboard off for our preteen child to sleep on the floor. But we had a great time staying there. Parking all over, and easy to walk anywhere! Staff were all friendly, fun, and easy to talk to.

Good location. Not very high-end, but clean and relatively cheap. There are a lot of board games in the hall.

The service has been great with everyone I came in contact with. The location is great. Close enough to the French quarter without the craziness. Able to walk to Bourbon Street, to the river front and to the casino. Plenty of food and drink nearby. The lobby area/bar/breakfast was awesome. Way to go Marriott!

It was very cool and an excellent chic renovation. Cool common areas, plus free drinks at happy hour. One of the staff was rude in the baggage check area, but other than that, it was a great experience. I would recommend it and stay there again.

I love it! When we first arrived, they gave us (me and my girlfriend) each a drink! We tried to be on the 6th floor with our friends but they was out of rooms. So they booked us on the third floor! I was a little taken back, because, I’m hard of hearing myself, and have been my whole life. The whole 3rd floor is dedicated to hard of hearing/deaf people. Each room has a doorbell that connects to a light inside the rooms to notify person that’s hoh/deaf! It was so cool and thoughtful! I’ve never been to a hotel that accommodate to deaf and hoh people! I would recommend this to all my friends and families that are deaf/hoh! I look forward to continuing business with The Moxy hotel!

Good hotel with practical and cozy rooms, free common services like iron or ice… There is also a cafeteria/bar on the ground floor that is always active. Cosy and clean place near the French Quarter.

Rooms and hotel are very nice though we had to park at a neighboring parking garage since they have no parking. We were received well. Friendly staff. Good location. Rooms are clean, comfortable and nice. Wood flooring in rooms was nice too. First time for us at the Moxy so we were not familiar with how things work. AC was noisy. They don't have any free breakfast. You can buy coffee and a few other things, but we decided to get breakfast elsewhere. They do have free ice though.

I've never stayed at a boutique hotel before, so this was an experience. No front desk, just the bar when you first enter. Which isn't a bad thing. You get a free signature drink at check in. It was yummy. We got our keys and headed up to the room. The room was small in several ways. Bed took up most of the room, which is ok, but makes it difficult to navigate and get dressed. You couldn't dress in the bathroom, it was too small. How they got the shower, toilet and sink in there is a wonder. The door banged into the shower door when you opened it. The shower was awesome, and the toilet and sink were high end, but the room was very small. There was no dresser so we lived out of the suitcase and hung up what we could. We just slept and showered there, so it justified the stay. Pricing for the week was pretty good compared to all other hotels in NOLA. We were on the edge of the French Quarter, so of course we did a lot of walking. Hard Rock Cafe and Ruby Slipper were really close, so we ate there for sure.

Check in was quick and easy! The staff are charming and this is the first hotel I’ve ever received a welcome cocktail in :) the room is very chic and comfortable! Super hip spot! Parking is a little sketch but I guess that’s just the city!

The service here is absolutely terrible. There were three bartenders with the same amount of customers. It still took 20 minutes (possibly longer) to get a drink. I don't know if they were all new or just not interested in getting the drinks served. I would pass on this place simply because there are so many other places with nicer staff and better service. It has a nice ambience on the inside but that's about it.

I love the concept of this place! It is not like a typical hotel. The bar is fun, the staff is friendly and the location is great. This added to our NOLA adventure and we had a great experience. We will be back!

This was my first time at a Moxy by Marriott location and it was fun. I love the hip feel and the trendy decor. However, the reception desk and the bartender are the same person, so you get a free cocktail with check-in, but the poor person is overworked so the service is slow. It is a great location close to bourbon St and it really is a cool hotel, just be patient when it comes to checking in, getting drinks, and calling the front desk.

Best hotel I've ever stayed in! I was a little thrown off at first with how casual the front desk was but they were helpful throughout. Room was amazing, bed was comfortable, atmosphere was great, definitely my new primary location for visits to NOLA!

Hotel was very cool. The bar and bar staff were wonderful. The bed linens could have been better quality. And the provided conditioner in the shower was refilled with hand soap. But I really liked the ability to stream from your device to the TV. And the unique decor was a great touch. Would definitely recommend.

Loved this hotel, will definitely visit again. It is close to the the French quarter without all of the hustle and bustle of being in the French quarter. I love how they provide drinks at check in. This hotel is definitely unique and not the norm. Love it nonetheless.

This Marriott is unlike other Marriott in that it is trying to be very "hip" or "cool. " Funky colors and pictures. It is clean and modern, but quirky because the rooms have no closet, just pegs on the wall. Very nice shower, but the sink is in the bedroom. No coffee pot, they give you tokens for coffee, one per person per day. Coffee shop and bar are in the lobby. You check in at the bar. They have muffins, bagels and yogurt for sale as breakfast items. The hotel is two blocks away from the trolley/street car connection. There is a place for breakfast two doors away. Hotel offers $46 per day valet parking, but there is a parking garage across the street that is safe and is $20 a day. I am a Marriott Rewards member, silver, but they gave me one of the smallest rooms, and we had some minor housekeeping issues. Also they had no breakfast items for two days because their supplier didn't deliver. On the positive side though, they give you a great tasting cocktail when you check in. I'd stay there again, but I'd definitely get a bigger room next time.

Stayed in a king bed room. Would have been great by myself, but was very crowded with 2 people in a room. Loved the lobby and vibe which is very geared towards young, hip travelers. Not a great place to bring kids.

My room I stayed in last December was extremely small with no window, so I thought I would not stay again. This time my friends room was large and spacious in the corner of the building with 2 large windows. I will definitely book there again!

Went to the moxy to enjoy a couple of drinks before attending the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra concert at the Orpheum. Happy hour ended at 6pm and sadly arrived just after. Prices basically doubled and paid $14 for a draft beer and a glass of wine. Cocktail menu looked promising but I did not have time to try one. Atmosphere was fun, colourful and had games in the lounge area. I will return if I can make it in time for happy hour otherwise I would look elsewhere for those prices.

I thought the hotel was fun, it felt like I was walking into a bar. The rooms are very modern looking and had everything I needed. The room we had didn't have drawers, but there were hooks and outlets everywhere. The room was very spacious and comfortable. I would stay there again.

The Moxy is a quirky hotel. Adequately situated in the Central Business District… not too far from anything, but not really close to anything, either. You check in at the bar and get a free drink… what is known as the Got Moxy, and what is best described as an adult cherry limeade. The bar itself maintains a great atmosphere, though some may find it hipster-heavy. The rooms are purposefully utilitarian, and many lack windows with the exception a small window in the bathroom overlooking a dark exterior shaft. Worth a look for a night out or launching point for other adventures.

This hotel is not your typical hotel. It is very different. If you like different this place was made for you. For instance the front desk is a huge bar. There is all kinds of lounge areas, bar games, etc. In the lobby. And you even get a complimentary drink upon check in. (Attached was our drink. ) The cocktail was one of the best I ever had. In fact me and the wife had many more before going out every night. The room was very clean. The view from our little window was of the brick wall next door, so if views are your thing make sure address that. The walk to bourbon street is pretty short. A couple blocks at the most. Not sketchy. The parking is kind of an issue, which is a problem every where in New Orleans. This hotel is definitely centered towards the younger crowd. It's hip, and funky and kind of an experience. We would definitely stay again. Did I mention the front desk is a bar?

Great location with a very trendy design. Doors don't block any sound and the AC is loud when it kicks on. The lobby has an odd smell but clearly by design. The bed has awesome underneath lighting for when you get out of bed. Except they come on randomly and freak you out. Overall I would stay at again.

Staff was awesome from the first phone conversation to the time of check out. We were treated like we were top priority our entire stay. Rooms were comfortable, spacious enough for the family. Decent breakfast. I believe his name was Glenn, took care of our luggage, got us cold drinks, escorted us to our room and provided us with the information we needed to help our family experience the best of the French quarter. We recommend this quality inn.

Highly recommended. This place is a great hidden gem of hotel in the French quarter. It's literally a 2-3 minute walk to everything in the French quarter/bourbon street (literally 2 blocks). The hotel itself and rooms are clean, comfortable, affordable and quiet. A Nice breakfast as well. Also, a gentlemen named "Glenn" helped and greeted us everyday for 4 days like clock work. Glenn was the best hotel worker/butler/nice guy and all around kind individual my wife and I have ever encountered. Also, "George" was also very helpful and accommodative employee behind the front desk. Everyone asked how you are and that they hope you've had fun. They work hard to make you comfortable. The general manager was present, working hard and quick to step in to help out or ask how we were doing. We will be back. Thanks.

Probably one of the best deals around the French quarter for a hotel, esp with their AAA discount. Staff were all GREAT and very helpful. They contract with a local parking garage, $17/night, unlimited in and out privileges. Breakfast was ok but not the greatest. Rooms were clean but can get noisy so bring some ear plugs. Only real problem for me was the bed, it was rock solid, never even knew they made beds that firm. I would stay here again since the deal was so good.

Stayed here while in town for a medical conference and really enjoyed my stay. It isn't the Roosevelt by any means but you don't pay those prices either. In addition, the staff were incredibly helpful and polite. There was a small mistake made with my check in so they upgraded me to a suite for no charge! Now that is customer service. The free breakfast is good. They gave me bandaids for my sore feet and let me use their computer to check in for my flight and print the boarding pass. Never had any issues with valuables. Perhaps another reviewer had a bit too much to drink on Bourbon street and forgot what he spent? For the price you can't go wrong. I paid $89 per night except Friday was $99. Highly recommend. Ask for a higher floor to avoid street noise.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Stayed there 3 nights in March 2009 and booked to go back in 2010. Walking distance to Bourbon st but far enough away to be quiet at night other than typical city noises. Great overall stay.
