The room was dirty the chair has a big wet spot on it. The room smells like smoke and the air conditioner vent was so dirty. I will never ever stay at this Best Western in Marion Illinois.

Seems very decent. As good as a lower $$$. Is gonna be.

We stayed here very last minute on our way home from Florida and I am so happy we did. My daughter left her stuffed animal there and I left a pair of slippers… the manager mailed them to me via FedEx and called me and text me all decisions prior to doing it. They went above and beyond! the rooms were very clean and quiet!

We had to switch rooms due to AC not working, but they were quick and efficient about it. Clean rooms, quiet and great price.

No I would not recommend it yes it does have clean rooms I mention to the guy at the front desk about the phone not working yes he wrote it down I also told him that the machine took my money and I didn't get a snack so much for that not very accommodating imagine that and we just got here from riding on dayDave Kangas if the Shriners ever have an event this way this will not be the building we book thank you and have a blessed day.

First of all, it was a unexpected stay at this hotel. We found it very affordable. 60.00 for a very clean room. The pool area was spotless and during COVID it was OPEN! After a very stressful situation, it was so nice to soak in the hot tub. I highly recommend staying here and will definitely return and stay here. Also all the staff, were extremely nice and wore masks appropriately during this pandemic, very reassuring. The to go breakfast offered was excellent, making the best out of the COVID restrictions. Thanks for caring to keep everyone safe!

It was a very nice day staff was very nice you have a nice breakfast I work at a Best Western in Indiana and you guys breakfast is pretty good Brian at the front desk was very nice and the breakfast lady I did not get her name she was very nice if I come to Illinois to again I would definitely stay here.

I’ve stayed here four times now since March, each for a a week for work and I’ll continue to stay here every two months for my week as long as the establishment is here. The staff are nice, the indoor hot tub is a nice touch and their are lots of options for breakfast (although I will say, it’s just okay quality) I give it a solid 4.5/5. Make the breakfast a bit better and it would be a 5/5.

Maybe have staff that actually know how to make reservations… had my reservation screwed 4 times and each time it was always "someone else's fault". Never again stay in this establishment.

I stayed here for one night one of the things that caught my attention was how clean everything was. I was greeted by a very nice staff person who said hello right away. I went to my room and it was very clean and cozy. My floor was quiet which is important to me and my sleep. I woke up and went to breakfast the food was good and there was staff there to help. I went to the spa area and the hot tub was nice and hot the way it should be and the swimming pool temperature was warm as well I do not like cold water. I liked the location as well close to a lot of restaurants I like. I would stay here again.

So far it's been nice. The pool was REALLY cold. No reason to drop the rating though. The one staff member we very kind. Room was actually almost cleaner than my house. But, we're incredibly picky. Everything is perfect! So far…

Right near the highway and so easy to get to. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great with a wide selection. Too many extras to list. I recommend this location to anyone.

This hotel is always exceptional. Professional, courteous, efficient, helpful staff. All rooms, lobby areas, pool areas, fitness center, and breakfast area are always clean and neat in appearance. Every staff member I have worked with has gone above and beyond to make sure that my stay is pleasant and my needs are met. I won't stay anywhere else in the area because of the exceptional customer service I receive here. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone coming to the Marion, Carbondale, Anna area.

Great hotel and even better manager. We were on a multi-day motorcycle trip and booked a room at the Best Western. Unfortunately — we booked 2 rooms for the same night. This one we booked the wrong night. The hotel manager, Eric J was more than helpful and so was the night manager. We booked 3 more rooms for that night and then Eric took care of the issue the next day when he was in. Refunded us for the mistake (which was our fault! ) Highly recommend this hotel and even more so the manager Eric J. He understands customer service and making things right with the customer. Thank you.

Great hotel. Stopped here overnight. Price was great (under $100), breakfast was great and lots of options. Wi-Fi was fast and free. Room was a decent size. Beds were okay, not great but good enough for a night in from driving. Only reason they didn’t get a 5* is because they had a lot of plastic use at breakfast (plastic bowls, plates, silverware, cups), switch to paper or have a recycle bin.

Great hotel, my go-to place when I'm in So IL; nice people, check in and out is fast, breakfast has lots of choices. Great rate. I've stayed here several times and plan to be back.

Very comfortable stay. Staff was very welcoming and polite. There was a little problem with washbasin and they upgraded us to king suite. Without even asking. Super accommodating and caring for clients.

Wonderful location. Happen to stop at the hotel late at night after a long day of driving. The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful. She helped me look up my rewards account so I could use some of my points. The rooms were very clean and glamorous.

The rooms are very clean, and quiet, and the staff is super friendly. There is a free breakfast in the morning as well as an exercise room to use before hitting the road. The staff was as polite as could be even despite his late check in at the wee hours of the morning! This hotel had been closed for a few year and then recently re-opened and boy can you tell. It smelled sorta musty throughout most of the hotel and everything seemed outdated. The pool area needed major help! The hot tub was cold, like really cold, and the pool was like bath water. And the air was freezing because they only had single-pane glass in there so there was a heavy mist in the air. The only good things I can say was the staff was friendly and the room was decently clean.

The pool was bath warm, fell in love with it. Everyone was nice to me and my 2 kids and asked if we needed anything more then once. Breakfast main course was different each day and both delicious, enough seats for everyone to spread out. Will be staying here again.

Needed a comfortable place to sleep on a long road trip. Best Western seems to be making some strides in providing sufficiently clean and classy accommodations for travelers on a budget. Would stay again.

The best western in Marion illinois is one of the nicest, friendliest, and, cleanest hotels I have ever stayed at. The day and night staff is exceptional and will go above an beyond to make any accommodations you may need. Definitely a 5 star experience without the 5 star price. I would highly recommend them and look forward to staying here again in the future!

Very clean, wonderful staff, pool and jacuzzi were perfect! Breakfast was good. So I really can't say anything bad. We had a great time!

First stay at this hotel. Booked the room via a third party cash back app on my phone. The app booked a smoking room and I don’t smoke. When I called to confirm they hotel was great and switched me to a non smoking room. I arrived around 7 pm and the young lady that was working was great. She made sure my stay was applied to my Best Western Rewards, provided a quick check in and pointed out the Wi-Fi password. The wife was actually very fast compared to other motels. The room… was clean and comfortable, the shower worked well although the pressure was a little low. The bed was just okay, which was really the only negative. Breakfast was included, it was decent, and a pretty standard hotel breakfast. I had asked a question about the Best Western Rewards that they the front desk associate didn’t know the answer to, so she took the time to call the rewards program to find out the details. I call this above and beyond customer service. Would absolutely stay at this hotel again and highly recommend this location.

I was greeted with the utmost courtesy and respect by the clerk at the check in counter. The staff member working in the dining area was very helpful and also she too was very friendly. The clerk at the front task was also very pleasant at check out and yes the room was a very comfortable temperature, the bed was very comfortable, I was able to get a very good night's rest and the room was very spacious. This facility would be highly considered should the need arise to travel again in this area.

The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. We had 3 key cards and each of them had to be reprogrammed 4 or 5 times. The breakfast options were good but they kept running out of food, so be sure to get there when they first put it out. The beds were okay but I wouldn't want to sleep on them for more than a few nights. The best way to describe them is old school motel beds, hard and boxy. The staff's kindness made up for a lot of the negatives.

Our stay was wonderful. It was on Christmas night so not to many people there. The breakfast was great and the pool and hot tub were the best. Enjoyed our stay.

I stayed here overnight for business, and it was an excellent place. The location was convenient to where I had to be and easy to get to. The room was spotless (trust me I checked) and everything in its place. The bed was comfortable, air/heat worked great, strong shower, and smelled fresh. I was very pleased with my room, the front desk, and the parking.

It met our needs but it lacked comfort. The heating/ac unit was fickle. It didn't seem to work according to the temperature that I set. Instead it just kept running all night such that I had to get up to turn it off at one point (too hot) and then back on again later (too cold). Otherwise the staff was friendly, the rooms seemed clean, the breakfast was free. Overall, it wasn't bad for the price (nearly $90 including taxes) but next time I might pay a little more to stay somewhere more comfortable. But again, it was clean and safe and met our needs.

We often stay at this Best Western. It has a wonderful hot breakfast in a welcoming ambiance. It also has a fun indoor heated pool. Our room is always clean and full of helpful amenities. The staff can be counted on to help us in any way needed. We know we will be rested and refreshed the next day!

I say as offten as possible when I travel the countryside. This Best Western in Marion Illinois was the greatest for my grandchildren, Son & Daughter in law. We swam, ate & played in the 95° weather. The entire staff was above and beyond. Hot breakfast consist of eggs sausage biscuits and gravy large Belgian waffle, yogurts, juices. Bring your family here and have a good time. Next up Best Western Pacific Beach California.

The hotel was very neat and had a nice free breakfast. The swimming pool was crystal clean, spacious, and a hottub was right next to it. There was a fairly large exercise room that looked very clean, but I did not use it. The hotel staff were very friendly and very fast when answering specific requests. I had requested a blanket and some laundry and my requests were answered within 1 minute! The only down sides I found were, in my room the sink was outside of the bathroom which seemed odd, and the front entrance smelt of smoke from a lot of people standing right outside smoking. Overall, it was a good experience to spend a night or two.

Hotel was clean and quiet. Staff friendly and personable. Felt safe here. Location a bit tricky to get to and looked abandoned because the street you approach from is actually the back of the hotel; the front of the hotel faces the interstate. Maybe some better lighting at the back of the hotel would help improve this feel.

I was very pleased with my stay here. This was the fourth hotel on a long trip, so I had a lot to compare to. The service here was so helpful and kind. Breakfast was abundant, well stocked. Very clean over all, good room. A couple things that really stuck out about this place, aside from the very helpful woman who checked us in, was the pool and fitness center. The pool area was lovely! Great light in the morning. And the fitness center, while a little cramped, had a fair variety and GOOD ventilation. So rare.

This room had an air unit that barely worked. Decor looked about 20 years old. I booked because the reviews were good, but it was not cheap and for $20 more I could have stayed somewhere much nicer. Breakfast was included, but the eating area didnt look clean, so we opted for breakfast out. Even my 10 year old was a little grossed out by our room. This will be my last time ever staying at a Best Western.

Clean, well-maintained hotel with an exceptional staff of professionals. The hotel is in a great area and, despite the nearness of I-57, was very quiet. Breakfast was served warm and delicious with plenty of options. I might wish the beds were slightly more comfortable, but they were satisfactory for our stay. The pool area was clean and the water was just the right amount of warm. The outdoor patio was fenced and spacious and the pool chemicals were balanced so no burning skin or heavy chlorine smell in the air or our swimsuits. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel over any other in the area. I felt safe leaving my car in the parking lot and had access to anything I might need from local grocery stores to restaurants and gas stations. There is even a mall for those interested in shopping on vacation. If you want to stay at a high-quality hotel for a budget price, stay here. You won't be disappointed.

My son and I stayed on our way home from an 8 hour drive. We decided to split the drive so he could have a night at a hotel with a pool. Room was decent, though walls and ceilings were definitely showing age despite the decor and furniture being updated. Arm chair upholstery needed cleaning. We just didn't sit in it. Thought I noticed a funny smell when running the shower. Breakfast was good. We were disappointed in the pool area as it needs some updating and the water seemed a bit cloudy. The photos were deceiving in my opinion. Whirlpool had dirt and whatever collected in the bottom corner. My son didn't swim long and said he didn't even want to swim again in the morning. I'll be honest though, I'm very picky when it comes to pools. We were too worn out to worry about finding another hotel. I'd give Renee at the front desk 5 stars as she was super friendly and helpful. She was great with my son and helped us get some movies checked out for the evening since we ended our swimming way earlier than I anticipated. If I only need a place to sleep, then the hotel is acceptable. However, for pool use, I would choose a different hotel in the future.

It was the most pleasant stay I've had this year. The male desk clerk during our late night check seemed sincere in welcoming us to the hotel. The two young ladies with the cleaning carts in the morning had extremely positive upbeat attitudes. Well done, well done!

Overall the stay was an 8. Staff was friendly, breakfast was good. The vending machine on my floor stopped working the second night so had to go upstairs for ice. The furniture (chair at desk and chair to sit in for comfort) were both very stained in my room so I didn't even sit in them. They definitely need replacements if they want anyone to enjoy them. Pool was clean and loved the fact that there was an outdoor section with chairs to lay down on. Actually was able to catch a small tan on one of the afternoons. Small issue in the room was very small ants running around the bathroom. Continously had to kill them each day and night.

The hotel was beautiful and absolutely perfect! Our room was clean and the indoor pool was​ well kept. I stayed by myself with my three kids and felt safe in the hotel/room and with the location of the hotel. Check-in was quick and breakfast was good. Cereals, muffins, juices, ham, biscuits and gravy, eggs, fruits, waffles, and coffee. My only complaint was the biscuits were really hard. I loved that there was a gas station close by and a couple of quality restaurants within walking distance. I will definitely stay here again. It's affordable, safe, and was way above my expectations.

I went to visit my brother at the Best Western he was staying at and noticed that the hotel was very nice. The room wasn't too small and was well furnished for a several night stay. Definitely one of the better hotels I've been to.

Had a break down on the road, lady was super helpful on accommodation with my elderly parents, as well as to finding a shop in the area, got us a room super clean. I will definitely remember this place next time im driving through the area.

Friendly staff. In both the evening and morning, it took them a few minutes to get to the counter though. Decent bed. Decent breakfast. Only gripe is that the quality of the TV feed was pretty bad in the rooms.

We got in late and they were very nice giving us our room. The air kicked in and off all night and was strange, but it worked for just an overnight place to stay. The breakfast in the morning was sufficient as well!

Only reason I wouldn't give it five stars was because my TV volume didn't work. (Yes I checked to see if it was muted or unplugged). I probably could have changed rooms if I'd asked, but it wasn't too important to me. Besides the minor setback, everything was clean and staff was friendly.

Friendly service so far. The breakfast wasn't bad either. Pool was the perfect temperature. The whirlpool was way too hot though. Couldn't step into it past my knees. Rooms are very clean and quiet.

We were so tired after a 10 hour drive and this place had the best rating out of the other options and decent price. Well what we thought was a decent price. Online it said 79. My bf went in and came out and said it was 89 because it was a suite and that's all they had left. We get tge reciept this morning and they didn't inform him on how ridiculous the tax was here. 102 was our total, I guess this is a "welcome back to illinois. " When we got in the room you could tell it was out dated which I didn't mind. The bed when you first sat on it was hard as a rock but it became more comfortable with how tired we were. Got up in the morning excited because of breakfast, w which in other reviews I read was good. No! Def not! They have plastic plates, I got myself some biscuits, and the gravy felt so hot I thought it was going to melt the plate. I took my chances and put it on the plate. Got some apple juice. The biscuits were hard as rocks, my plastic knife almost broke. The gravy was super cold, sausage had some crunchy pieces. I figured I could wash it away with the apple juice. It tasted like super watered down apple juice. So gross!

I wish I could no stars. I would not suggest this hotel to anyone. I called months before my wedding to reserve a block of rooms at a discounted rate. Got everything set up fine and no problems. When people started to call the hotel to make reservations, I got a phone call from a relative saying there was not a block of rooms reserved for that weekend under my name. When I called to find out what happened the women at the front desk was very nice apologized and said they had plenty of rooms and would be happy to reserve them, and went to talk to her manager to ask about a rate. When she returned she told me her manager wouldn't make a block of rooms for our wedding because most people don't end up using them anyway. I asked to speak with the manager at this point, but when the front desk associate went to go get the manager, she came back on the phone and told me the manager was firm on her decision and was too busy to talk to me. I was appalled by the rudeness of this manager. I know they make blocks of rooms, and I know they had plenty of rooms available, and I informed them I would be needing at least 20 rooms all of which would be coming, with at least 5 people already reserved waiting to switch to the block. I'm not sure the managers manager would like to hear how much money they missed out on. I am especially appalled that the manager couldn't tell me that herself and made the front desk associate relay the news to someone who is obviously going to be upset.

Room's are clean, staff was friendly, easy to reach off the interstate. Hotel is not a non-smoking hotel, I had a non smoking room but the room smelled of stale air.

It okay, but could've been better due to lost reservation. Took 45 min to find. Funny only took 2mins to charge me.
