Asked for a king on the ground level. Reservations made one week ahead. Our arrival time between would be 7:30-9:30. Pm. We checked in to find we were on second floor. Tied from 13 hour drive we took it. Only to discover after carrying all the suit cases up stairs and down the long hall that it was not a king bed. To Exhausted to find another place to stay. Plus a few issues with being a clean. Thank goodness the bed sheets were fresh and clean.

Pros: Friendly staff, great rates Cons: Room smelled musty, A/C was VERY noisy, could hear everything in the room above us, water smelled old/musty. We were looking to save a couple bucks on a room, and that's what we did. We also didn't sleep well (noise) and felt dirty the whole night (moldy smelling room and water in the shower). If you pay for a $60 hotel you get a $60 hotel. Nom sayin'?

We needed a convenient and reasonably priced place to sleep and it was just as we expected. Room was clean but the breakfast room lobby combo was way too small. Easy access to the highway.

The rooms were comfortable and quiet, plenty of hot water. The breakfast was fair, no eggs, small space. Staff was friendly and making the situation the best they could do.

Great experience after a long several weeks of travel. Comfy, convenient, clean… It's your motel, get the sketchy people outside to go away.

We have stayed at this motel twice now and both times it has been clean, quiet, easy registration (once with a reservation, once without), and included continental breakfast. Amenities include microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and hair dryer. Nice place to stay.

We have stayed here for the last 20 years visiting family and friends in the area. I can't express enough how wonderful our stays have been here. The staff have become like family and always make you feel comfortable and at ease. Clean, updated, and very pet friendly, with easy access to many restaurants and good shopping. Has become home away from home for my family.

Exellwnt value for price. Stayed at 2 it her hotels on our road trip that charged more and didn't have comfy beds, and as spacious of rooms and had the same amenities.

The room was very clean and well kept. The hotel atmosphere was very friendly. I loved the bath as well. It was comfortable, quiet and overall a very relaxing experience.

I would give this place the real rating of 4.5: 4 starts for the amenities and 5 starts for the quality of service. The staff is responsive and does a really good job in keeping the place nice and clean. But considering the very low prices, it goes definitely to 5 starts rating due to the great value.

It is okay. Stairs and small dogs with bad backs don't mix well. Place was nice enough. Decent staff.

It's a super 8, the hall smelled smoky, but the room was clean. The staff was super nice and fun to talk to. It was convenient to the highway, but getting there was a little confusing.

This super 8 @ 2601 Vernell Rd. Has been absolutely awesome. I stayed the night of the 4Th and again last night (the 8Th). On the 4Th my daughter left her boots in the room, I called and they had them and held them for us. I checked in last night and needed a room with a rollaway bed and the woman was very accommodating, she moved our room to the one with the extra bed. Their continental breakfast is awesome. They have waffles, danish, toast, cereal, juice, and coffee. The ladies thay work here go above and beyond to take care of their guests. If you are ever in need of a place to rest your head this is it. Rooms are spotless, beds are super comfy. The ladies I dealt with are Ms. Pam & Ms. Connie. Come on and visit, they treat you like family!

Clean room with everything we needed for a driving break with kids. They provided a pack n play for our infant which made packing so much easier. Breakfast also had lots of options for the whole family and plenty of it.

Surprisingly good rooms for the price. Limited amenities and a tiny lobby but again, for the price I was very happy. Great beds, too.

Great for people with pets. Hotel staff are very accommodating and friendly, to humans and dogs alike. Location is convenient. Rooms are somewhat updated, but nothing fancy. The hotel overall is kind of dated. No pool. Stairs to the upper floors. Overall it's pretty good for the price and the pet friendliness.

Newer, very clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast bar well stocked. Staff very helpful. Reduced star rating due to lack of elevator. I liked the added security cameras in the hallways. No complaints, will definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and tidy. The television and shower worked perfectly. The beds were nice. The continental breakfast was marginal and raucous. The hotel itself is very far back in the complex behind a McDonald's. Would stay again.

Dog friendly, clean like new rooms, sheets and towels look brand new. Bathroom was super clean. Breakfast had all you wanted zwaffles, oranges, cereal, yogurt, juice coffee … you have to stairs no elevator. Walls are thick could hear nothing once we were in the room. I believe they keep the dogs in the top floor so some rooms are friendly and others are regular. The guest services people in the evening were very friendly. The place fills so call if you are coming in late. Easy today, easy to get back to the expressway.

My husband and I stayed there one night while he had surgery at the VA. The room was nice and very clean. The outside traffic wasn't a bother but what did bother us was the noise of other guests through the night and early 8n the morning. Our room was provided to us by the VA and we are great full. However, upon check in, we were asked for a credit card in case of any damages. We are cool with that, but we aren't cool with our card being charged before they even cleaned or probably even went into the room! When we called about this, we were told that it was a deposit and would be refunded in 5-7 business days. What should have been done was to put it on file and use if needed instead of this way. Because we were unaware that a charge was actually going to be made, we went into the negative with the bank until we got home. I think that I will stay there again if the need arises, but you won't get a credit or debit card!

The staff was extremely friendly, however I couldn't hear quite a few different things while I was in the room. It's mainly because the door was not sealed, you could like the light coming from the other side and hear the vacuum going in the morning but overall I had a lovely visit.

Stopped here on a road trip. Checked in late, about 12:30 a. M. And our reserved room was waiting for us. We had our dog with us, and the staff are clearly dog friendly. All the staff we interacted with, both at night and in the morning, were friendly and easy to work with. Room was clean and well appointed. Shower was good and the bed reasonably comfortable. Exceeded my expectations and would stay again if we were in the area.

Wonderful, friendly staff. Nice and neat rooms. Our room was very clean with modern decor. Close to the interstate and near lots of shopping. Excellent room for the price.

I'm not a person who normally posts reviews, but my wife and I felt our 1 night stay at the Marion Super 8 deserved a few minutes of our time. We were trying to make Nashville, but ran out of energy just past Effingham so I used Google Maps to see what was available in Marion for the night. I called the Super 8 and they had a Double Queen non-smoking room available for under $70. The room was way above our expectations. Super clean and good smelling bed linens, nice interior paint, a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker in the room, and pretty good Midwestern art on the walls. The bathroom was spotless and well stocked. The air-conditioner worked great and there was even a built-in ironing board and iron. But for me the biggest surprise was that we didn't arrive until after midnight and the night clerk was awake, super pleasant, alert and above all, helpful. The shower was very clean and the water was hot and plentiful. Wait until you smell the supplied soap. Nice. The free breakfast was more than adequate, waffle maker, dry cereal, hot oatmeal, OJ. The breakfast space was a little small, but we managed. Believe me, we would not hesitate to stay at this motel again.

Don't usually leave reviews, but after the experience I had tonight, I will. Pre-booked for the Econolodge down the street, within 5 minutes of being there decided I would not stay. No refund. Didn't ask. Just wanted to leave. Money down the drain, but feeling a little better now. Rooms are newly remodeled here. Clean and modern. The hallway leading to the room felt a little old, but for the price, I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. Feels like I got a deal. Would definitely stay here again. Great value!
