I wasn't overly impressed. The rooms could have used a makeover. I've stayed at nicer places that weren't that much more expensive (if at all).

Although we had a loud person above us… The hotel itself was clean affordable and comfortable. The price was awesome and parking was great.

The whole place has a nasty and strong smell. Smells like wet dog, smoke and greasy food. never again.

Its ok. Breakfast is not the greatest as is common with all ESA hotels. Staff is polite and friendly. First room smelled of marijuana and cigarettes covered with ozone, strong disinfectant and bad patchouli hippie oil and was given another that also had a cigarette odor with burn marks on my counters and blankets. I better not get charged for the room odor/damage. There were also several maintenance issues with the room. Bed was old and very uncomfortable and was hard/impossible to sleep. Burners on stove were rusted out and took some time to heat up. On a positive note Property is quiet and in a safe area. They were short on towels and other amenities and I was told repeatedly that they were sold out for several nights and short on items such as towels and kitchen items. Realistically that's not the guests problem and some sort of compensation should have been offered as this went on for several days. The property is in need of some tweaking and minor repair. One of the entrances had the electronic lock damaged and I was unable to get in except for walking around to the other side of the building to the main entrance. I was also cooking in the room one night and the windows don't open all the way so the smoke alarm went off and within seconds I'm getting calls from downstairs complaining & being told to open the windows and that the fire alarm is going off.

Pros: Great area Homey feel flexible staff if they knew they did wrong enough parking Cons: the bathroom is super small the check in time is REALLY long bc there’s only 1 person, we stood in line for 1 hour. breakfast isn’t anything they run out of cooking stuff quick needs some remodeling overall I was happy to be in the burbs over staying in the burbs of chicago! the staff was nice even though it took forever to check in. there were a lot of issues the night I went which was last sunday but I have to say for the price GOOD PICK.

Angela is amazing. Really a fantastic person and made our stay awesome.

The room was clean, the beds not very comfortable. The pillows all flat. A/C didnt work. Had to sleep with the window open which faced the freeway, which was pretty noisy. I will say that the staff here are very friendly and the building is well taken care of and clean. The room didnt smell funny or of smoke. Our room was on the 3rd floor. Oh and only one trash can under the kitchenet sink. None in the bathroom. I would bring your own pillow if you choose this place.

Clean rooms, excellent customer service, the location is great right next to the freeway and about 10 minutes away from O’Hare Airport. I would stay here again highly recommended.

This Extended Stay is nice. The staff is friendly and they definitely try to accomadate when they can. Rooms are comfortable and affordable.

They bent over backwards to accommodate our needs. It was a great experience.

Car broke down so we got in the following morning. Front desk helpful, supportive and suggested we grab breakfast. Clean. Everything was there and clean. We stayed 2 days and needed late check-out cause we were moving slowly… No problem. Great place!

Very nice hotel. Was perfect for a girls night getaway! Close to Schaumburg area!

Overall a good place for a good price. One huge complaint I have thou is this. The girl on 3 to 11 shift just ruined any positive comments I would add period. I typically keep my thoughts and comments to myself unless it's so bad I can't hold back any longer. She really is so mean, rude, a bully, smart mouth, sarcastic, argumentative, lazy, and the list can go on and on and on. I'm actually going to b leaving this establishment soon and giving my money to your location a few blocks down the street. Many other patrons I have listened to also share the same feelings as I have stated. They have checked out of here same day, or earlier than their reservation was intended for because of her. She does it with a smirk and a smile on her face too. Which tells us there r no repercussions for her actions and abuse. As I stated earlier. I have kept these thoughts and feelings I have had and felt and been victimized by her Internally. Hoping it would get better or she might change or get reprimanded. But no, it has gotten worse and worse and she gets bolder and bolder. Obviously it's a joke or nothing is done about it. Extended stay has been great other than her. But enough is enough already. Location is good. Room itself is decent and convenient. I stayed there a week, every night people (I suspect night staff) standing right outside talking all night. I could hear everything with window closed, air-conditioning was on. I had to call front desk 3 nights in a row at midnight or 3 in the morning. One afternoon, there were 3 guys doing bbq with portable charcoal grill right in front of entrance. I had to navigate through smoke and guy's stare to go in and out. It was not pleasant.

Pleasant stay. Clean and quiet. Full-sized fridge. Friendly staff. Would come again.

This is one of the best hotels I have used ever since I moved to Chicago. Food is of the highest quality, staff are really nice people and the bathroom is just the best. Thanks guys.

This hotel was good for the price we paid. There was a cigarette odor in the bathroom and as a non-smoker this annoyed me but otherwise it was good.

We have stayed at this hotel three times in the last year, for a week plus each time. Each time the staff was friendly, accomadating and polite. There is a charge for dogs, but dogs are accepted and that is important to us. There is a small kitchen in the room with stove, frig and sink — great for when you really get tired of eating out or delivery. Rooms are generally clean (never saw a hotel that the floors were perfect), bathrooms are clean and everything in the room is functional. The cost is not any more than a regular hotel room and there are a lot more perks — laundry in the building, lots of parking, close to hwy, shopping and medical. Our place to stay with in the Schaumburg, IL area.

I stayed in ESA I90 for little more than 2 months, that sums up pretty much I like it overall, Hotel Manager Jim is the best! He always willing for help and listen his customers and react quickly. Overall room, kitchens, breakfast is great value what you pay for. Person in the morning could be well attentive when the Coffee is running out from machines and refill it in advance rather than customer asking it to refill it. initially when I checked-in front desk executive messed up with the rate on my reservation/asked "whole" month payment in advance, which was little surprised to me, But Jim was kind enough to sort everything very quickly. Front desk Guy Angel is also very helpful, rest other executives could be little more calm while listening their customers!

You get what you pay for here. Decently sized rooms with kitchenettes. A humble breakfast of coffee, muffins and granola bars. All in all not much different from the other extended stays.

Welcomed at check in, informed if I needed anything to just ask. I did and they came through with what was needed. The rooms were nice clean, could be detailed more but over all my stay there was a good one. I would stay there again.

Checked in at this hotel at 3:00 pm and checked out by 4:30… hotel desk people were nice but the room was absolutely disgusting and felt like I was gonna get a disease the longer I stayed. Found red stains and sticky substance on both sides of the bathroom door, booger on the side of the bed, hair on the bed, and wet stains on the phone. I do not recommend anyone staying here unless you have no other choice. I left but they refunded my money. I also rejected their offer to stay in another room… Never again… I understand you pay what you get but at $65/night I expected a little bit cleaner and more sanitized room… the one good thing is it is supposed to be a 100% smoke free hotel…

Stayed at this hotel 2/ 2016. Very horrible experience. When my husband and I woke up, discovered that we had bites on us. Pulled back bedding was filthy. Lifted matress and stain in the center of the bed skirt. Pillows also had yellow stains on them. When we finally lifted the bed skirt we discovered the bed bugs. So gross. We pulled the bed from the wall and discovered an empty condom wrapper (that clearly didnt beling to my husband and I). Totally gross. Complained to front desk but all she offered was quarters to wash our clothes. And refunded the hotel after I requested. But now im so nervous wondering did any come home with us.

Rooms were hardly cleaned, they attempted to fix a booking mistake, but dropped the ball on that. It took so to nights to fix our room accommodations. 1 of our 3 rooms was extremely dirty and another room the freezer worked, but the fridge would not. 2 days in to our week long stay and I'm already looking for another hotel.

The more updated rooms were pretty clean, smelled nice, and was provided good service.

A nice hotel. The room was suppose be smoke free but someone had smoked in the room and it smelled bad. The hotel did everything they could to make things right. The smoking was beyond their control and the hotel stepped up to fix things.

Im in between homes, and just checked in on Wednesday, but planning on staying for a little while. So far, so good! Quick, and very polite check in. The front desk staff is very helpfull. Place is clean, super convinient, and makes a great home away from home. The girl (i think Nelly is her name) at the front desk was very nice while checking in, and very informative. I mentioned to one of the staff, while he was doing courtesy check on my room before I settled, that I will need basic utensils, plates and cups. Few minutes later I had Nelly bring everything to my door. Which was super convinient, and cool. Service is great. Although I totally forgot to tip her because I was still caring all my stuff from the car to the room, but ill definitely do that next time I get a chance. Great job.

Sold my house back in March, and needed a place to stay until I figured out where I wanted to go. Stayed at the ESA off of 90, and I couldn't have asked for a better 2 months experience. Staff was super friendly and awesome. A couple days after I first moved in, my fridge had a problem. A few hours later, the maintenance tech was in my room getting it solved. Never had another problem with it. Any other issues or questions that I had were well received and handled expediently. As for the other reviewer who was looking to eat off the ground. Not sure what you're looking for, and why are you trying to ruin the white towels? Would you do that at home? and wow. A washing machine broke down! That never happens anywhere!? Honestly, before I stayed there, I had myself read the reviews that are on here, and believe you me, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit concerned. However they were all put to rest almost immediately. If you have a dog you're looking to bring, as I did, the location is simply ideal. Plenty of room for them to run around and don't have to worry about being on a major road dealing with the traffic. As well, if you're staying for an extended period, you won't find a better pet fee. Never had a problem with scheduling the cleaning service either to save my room until after I got home from work to get the boy out of there and take him for a walk in the woods just on the other side of the highway. All in all.

We stayed at this location (me, wife and kids) for 13 nights. After reading the reviews I was afraid to live there. But it tured out to be a wonderful experiance. Room was very clean, comfortable, clean and wide beds, nice bath room, very firendly staff (the girl on the front desk African american is very nice and helpful), Airconditioning, heating in the room. Though there was issue with the lock of bathroom which was not working and despite several complaints they could not get it fixed. Everything was wonderful. Though they dont have fitness center at the facility but they have affiliation with one of the fitness centers which one can use for free.

An unscheduled stop late at night, this was the closest we could find on short notice that would accommodate our two cats. $80 per night plus deposit is steep for a queen bed in a nonsmoking room that reeks of freshly smoked cigarettes.

We vacation quite a bit and have never found a hotel to be so bad. I was relocating and needed a hotel that allowed pets and was cost effective, so I picked ESA. I had an issue just about everyday. Staff tried hard to be nice but then they NEVER seem to write up the work orders. Not until I filled out a survey (2 1/2 weeks into my stay) and it got to the newly appointment manager did anything get fixed. My room wasn't cleaned for 2 week — — because of the dog. It is a pet friendly hotel that has staff that won't enter with a dog in the room. And if you try to arrange to have them come at a certain time — — they don't show. My room was dirty and had an odd smell that never went away. Moving wasn't an option due to dog and budget. The stove was broke and took 3 days to get fixed. I had missing light bulbs no drain plugs for the sinks and tub. They never had quarters for the laundry room and no change machine. My a/c was broke for the first 2 weeks — — well it went on but never shut off. The excuse I got was — — — uummm we don't have a maintain man right now. The vending machines were broke at one point, a washer went down (and they only had 4 washers), the hallways smelled of smoke, the once a week cleaning was horrible. Truly I could continue but I think you get the point. RUN to another hotel if you can.
