A lot to be desired. Front desk staff was off-putting and acted like they couldn't be bothered by you. We made a reservation for a king size room over a week prior to staying, and they didn't even have the room ready when we got there. Furniture in the room was very outdated. The toilet broke in our room and they said we could either stay there or move to different room, "If we wanted. " When my mother asked about compensation, they gave us back $25 out of the $103 we booked the room for. Parking was free, but for some reason they asked for the plate number on our car. There were other people asking about parking, and they were not asked to provide plate numbers. Room amenities were lacking. The bath towels were small and rough. Toilets were obviously prone to malfunctioning and were identical to those found in gas stations. Overall, a lackluster lodging facility that is just as rough on the inside as it looks on the outside. Would not recommend to friends or family, regardless of the convenience of location.

Stayed overnight when we missed our connection and was very happy with the hotel. Close to the airport and there is a free shuttle that was quick. The room was a bit dated, but the beds we're comfortable and I was surprised how little airplane noise there was since we could watch planes taking off from our window. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was the pool was closed.

Stayed their for one night. Older hotel, but the place was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Beds were comfortable and the amenities were good. Breakfast waa good as well. Very nice for the price point in Chicago area.

Decent hotel stay if you are looking for a place 3 miles away from ORD airport. No Microwave and No fridge in the rooms. Also they don't offer complimentary water bottles inside the room. Breakfast is included with the room which is basic.

I stayed here for two nights with my wife. Pros: Room is spacious. Bed is king size. Breakfast room has many seats. Gym is clean. Pool looks fine. (I didn’t use it) Three elevators (don’t make you wait) Close to the airport. Cons: Bathroom fan doesn’t work. (We can’t even find the key for that) No fridge in room.

I had an incredible experience at the Edwards Hotel. The staff was amazing especially Daniel he help us a lot through out our stay. Cleaning was done everyday and on time which I loved! The shutter bus was a great help to us especially because it was our first time in Chicago. I would definitely reconsider our stay at the Edwards Hotel again. Thank you for the great service and all you staff!

Love loved loved! Big room great service and beautiful atmosphere. Everything was perfect. I got a king size mattress and it just was like heaven my boyfriend and I had a blast just having so much room to spread out and not worry about kicking each other as we slept.

Great location. Loved the kid pool. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. Room was fine. There was no fan in the bathroom and it caused our room windows to fog up and "rain". Ok place with friendly staff at a good price.

Very reasonably priced the weekend we stayed. Continental breakfast did the job, pool and kiddie pool area were a great place to spend the morning and the room had all the essentials. Very close to O'Hare and made it easy for us to check in after midnight when our flight came in. Especially given the shuttle service I would definitely plan to park and shuttle next time we are flying out of O'Hare.

Staff was pleasant. Room was clean, but had wear and tear. The splash pad play area of the indoor pool was a bonus. It was quiet. The hotel was spacious, 3 elevators for little to no waiting, and the eating area for breakfast had lots of seating.

Pro: Located right in the vicinity of the airport, yet still just enough to be insulated from noise. You sleep quite quietly.
Contra: Ohje! Let's start with the organizational: at my booking a few weeks in advance I asked for the "non-binding requests to the hotel" to get a room as far up the building as possible. We were allocated a room on the second floor.
Furthermore, I wrote about a month before our arrival an email with the request, whether it is possible that the Hotel 2, 3 days before my arrival would accept and return a mail. No answer! I wrote a reminder about two weeks before my arrival: No answer!
That was moderate! I was close to canceling my reservation. However, since I did not get an equally inexpensive room at this time, I still had it on my visit.
On the spot then the cold horror! The hotel has been clearly (! ) in the years. If it is still handsome in the lobby, the room is unkempt at the latest. Dust lies on many corners, Knas and knees in the crevices and pores. It bursts wallpaper and plaster from the wall, the carpet vagitosis, the toilet dripped at the Spülknopf. We thought because it was our first night in the US at this point, simply the standard is another. But for all subsequent hotels of our trip in the same price segment we have not stayed so bad anymore!
Small bright view was the rich free breakfast. Although the mountains give us rubbish (styrofoam plates, plastic cutlery!

Great location. Room was adequate. Nice breakfast spread. Fitness room was big. Pool okay (no shower)

A wonderful stay! My organization has a training here. It was a wonderful experience. They rooms were clean. The staff was very professional. There was great parking, restaurants within walking distance, and entertainment (including love concerts) nearby. To top it all off, the prices were great. I stayed in an accessible room with my Service dog and a friend. I've never been in such a nice accessible room. I didn't feel handicapped. I felt the hotel had gone out of it's way to design spaces with beautiful and appropriate accommodations. I didn't feel like they just rushed in to put bars in a regular room and slap a wheelchair sign on the door. I felt safe and was able to maintain my Independence without inconveniencing anyone else in the group. It was wonderful! I highly recommend this hotel. It has amenities like a pool, hot tub, exercise room, laundry, and free breakfast. Most hotels that serve free breakfast are cheesy cheap establishments hiding their deficiencies behind the promise of a waffle iron, stale doughnuts, lukewarm coffee, and (if you're lucky) tiny cups of nearly expired yogurt. This hotel is definitely setting the bar high! The only drawback is their proximity to the concert arena. I, however, couldn't have cared less. The hospitality, comfortable rooms, amazing amenities, and great customer service made the arena noise insignificant. That's saying a lot!

We stayed the night and went to a concert next door. Very clean rooms. Great staff this place is huge. Breakfast was ok. Not alot of hot options to pick from. Does have a poor and work out room. No fridge in room.

Liked The Edward; great location for All State Arena activities. Reasonably priced; helpful staff; nice pool. Will return I. The future.

Earlier this hotel used to be a Holiday Inn Express, now it's independently operated. While the location is a big plus if you need access to Chicago O'Hare airport. I often stay here overnight to pick my parents arriving via international flight in the morning. The breakfast buffet was good, they have indoor pools and a fitness center. The parking is free. This time around I felt the elevators were less clean. Also I could smell smoke in the floor lobby where I was staying.

Great variety of excellent buffet breakfast and good rooms.

I really enjoyed the Edward Hotel. Had a beautiful view of the city and the Chicago River. Restaurants within walking distance. Courteous staff. I will go back .

The hotel is pretty good for the price, but isn't anything special. Very standard room, has free Wi-Fi which is great. Has a swimming pool, including one for kids, but lacks a hot tub. It's also rather far away from downtown Chicago. My family would leave in the mornings, and it would take almost an hour before we arrived due to traffic. Plan your trip accordingly!

Stayed a couple of nights here for a sporting event held at the Allstate arena, from the outside didn't look like much but the Outlook inside is very nice. Very peaceful, not far from the express way, rooms had a bit of a old school feel but it was very relaxing. Only thing that needs a slight improvement is the breakfast selection. Not to say that the selection wasn't good I think they should just have added a few more breakfast items. But above all the stay was worth the money.

Very nice hotel free shuttle and premium breakfast I got a large King room at a very fair price, but bathroom was kind of small Furniture was outdated. No outlets near the wall to plug in my electronics Front desk guy was nice.

Love how this place is close to the airport and also offers the transportation from and to airport. Friendly staff. Very clean facilitates.

The hotel overlooks the highway. Very convenient to find, but it was a noisy room because of it. Light blocking curtains didn't overlap, so some light snuck into the room. Amenities were good. Breakfast was nice. Pancakes, sausage, pre made omlets.

It's super nice. There is access to the pool and gym. The rooms are nice and spacious, the front desk person was nice and the shuttle driver was super sweet.

The rooms are comfortable, and have a shuttle free to the airport every 30min from 4am.

Great place. Clean. Good breakfast. Shuttle to and from airport. Much cheaper than walking distance airports.

My stay was wonderful! The staff was amazing! The gym had all equipment needed for a great late evening workout! The shuttle drivers were polite, courteous and so dedicated to getting me to and from the airport in a timely fashion. The room was exceptionally clean and toiletries were fully stocked! The rooms do need to be renovated as far as the older model carpet and chair furniture goes but the bed was so cozy and relaxed it made up for it. I will definitely stay at the Edward Hotel my next Chicago visit! Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Great atmosphere and excellent service and great people. Our room wasn't ready when we checked in so they upgraded us to a junior suite at no extra charge. Would definitely recommend staying anytime you're in the area.

I was there last week for 5 days for the wizard world comic con. The room was nice. The pool was nice. The continental breakfast was good. The maid was very friendly. The hall ways were clean. The only problem we ran into was one day the maid left us no fresh clean towels. We then told the front desk and he said he had to call some one. We never received any towels. We then had to go to the pool and take a handful of towels for us and those towels were very small. Over all for the price of the room each night was good with free Wi-Fi, breakfast, pool, refrigerator and microwave in the room. A good deal, but the front desk guy was a snob and not very friendly at all. Not a bad drive to the comic con.

My room was nice and clean, the view was spectacular. The staff was very helpful and even helped me find a good restaurant to eat at nearby. There's plenty of things to do around the hotel, so I was never bored during my stay.

We were there three days and very comfortable. Somewhat far from downtown Chicago but well worth it. Comfortable beds and good breakfast. As a negative point, the air-conditioning. Always butt.

Just ok. Was surprised the rate was so high, at about $150 / night. — They've discontinued the shuttle service indefinitely. — Breakfast is fine. — Hotel seems a bit dirty and maintenance is maybe slowing down — faucet handle came off and the shower handle is close to falling off. — Oh… and the walls are very thin. We enjoyed listening to the lady next door and her kids through all hours of the night.

Good care regular breakfast there is another option, only buffet.

Friendly staff. About the only decent part. Reserved a room with a crib. After calling and confirming, we arrive to no crib. Called and was told one will be there shortly. After an hour, still no crib. Talked to the front desk and no cribs were available. Was never told it was a first come first serve thing after a reservation was made! They offered a roll away for our 4 month old. Had to find a new hotel at 11pm during a busy weekend. Definitely not going back or referring this place to anyone I know.

Simple room, clean, enough space and amenities, breakfast included which is only good if you only eat cereal or sugary pastries in the morning. Free shuttle to airport, super cheap and easy to take cta blueline from there to downtown, eight bucks round trip, about 45mins one way, hotel is good spot, check out shoeless Joe's sports bar 2min walk away.

Very nice hotel with continental breakfast and a nice pool and workout facility. Looks a lot better on the inside than the outside. The only complaint that I have is that the rooms smelt like cigarettes. Also, I stayed on the 8th floor and there was a wedding going on above me that was quite loud. Other than that, my stay was nice.

Convenient to walk to All State Arena. Easy to get to restaurants lots of options to chose from in the area … Good size pool. Reasonable price I feel we got what we paid for.

Shuttle 30 minutes late (runs every 30 minutes) so basically skipped an entire pickup time. Missed dinner… Froze my ass off. Other hotels has shuttles show 2-3 times over, while I waited. Claimed it was traffic… Streets are dead.

Not a bad hotel. But appernetly if you are on the 8th floor, then your room does not come with a fridge or microwave. You must ask for one to be brought to you.

Nice location, definitely needs works, breakfast was ok, the eggs gave me some problems but the cinnamon roll was good. My bed was making sounds all night (every time I moved). Overall I would give it a 3.5 out of 5.

I've read all of the other reviews and have to say we had an absolutely perfect stay here over Thanksgiving 2015! We stayed for four nights and had great room — — no weird smells, carpets were clean, beds were pretty firm but slept well. Two pillow options (Soft and Firm) available. I am a pretty light sleeper but never woke up once from any noise (including the airport) Breakfast rotated slightly from day-to-day but always found something that even our picky kids ate! Parking was free — — front desk was very friendly (I forgot various toiletries and they provided for free) Pool was clean — kids really enjoyed the smaller kids pool! I thought it was broken but push the red button — wait 10 seconds and the fountains start! Pool was never crowded. Nice open large lobby and wide hallways. Great space and would stay here again without a second thought!

We arrived on a Thursday evening for a quick stay before our early morning flight. The front desk attendant was friendly and assigned us a room promptly. The foyer atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our room had two comfotable queen beds. The bathroom could've been cleaner but overall the room was clean. My family of four enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend if you want to save a few bucks on your stay if you need an airport shuttle with a pay to park pass.

Location was okay. It's conveniently right next to the airport with free shuttles running every 30min. The hotel is starting to look and feel dated. The small rooms have the bar bones for those staying one or maybe two nights and not expecting to eat in the hotel. No minifridge, no safe, no microwave. Staff seemed sparse which made service during busy times slow. Otherwise, the stay was good and service was good. I have no complaints… well, other than the drunk wedding party that pulled the alarm at 2:30am, but that's not the fault of the hotel.
