High quality hotel. Valet parking make the experience high class. Very kind and welcoming staff, even at 11pm. Rooms are well kept and very luxurious. Breakfast in the included restaurant is very very good.

We got married in the Springfield area over the weekend and used the Abraham Lincoln Hotel for our room blocks for our guests. 90% of our guests and wedding party came from out of state and even out of the country so this was important to us! The process was so easy from check-in to check-out. The rooms were clean and we were able to utilize the bar easily for both nights that we were there. The staff was phenomenal and very polite. They were able to accommodate whatever our needs were. We will be staying here again!

Nice hotel. Very small sign that was ground level. Nothing above the door. We arrived at 9 and they had given our room away. What is the point of a non refundable reservation if they dont honor it? Room was clean. Had to pay to park, which I hate. Towels in the room were very old. Staff was very polite. I could not get a very late check out.

Clean, quiet, nice pool, kind staff, super comfy beds. You have to pay for parking but only 7 dollars for 24 hour period so not bad. And if you're a Hilton honors member they put you on a floor with other members which helps with the noise control. We'll stay again!

I attended an event here recently and it was great. The foyer was large enough to accomodate all that were signing in. It was a bit cramped at 10 to a table but the room was packed. Food was delivered timely and the servers were amazing. I wasn't impressed with the entree but mass producing a meal for that many people is very difficult. The desert was perfect. The building was beautiful and staff were friendly.

The hotel was beautiful but the rooms were kinda small for the price. No to mention I set the air in the room to 60 but still woke up in the middle of the night cause it was too warm in the room. Overall I'm not sure I got out of my way to stay again but the staff was wonderful!

My stay at the President Abraham Lincoln was pleasant as always. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly. Check-in and check-out was a smooth process. I Highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in the downtown Springfield area.

I've booked a room here three times in three years. Two of the times I've arrived and been told they could not honor my reservation due to… whatever excuse they provided. This year they claimed a plumbing problem took rooms out of service — the first year it was a glitch in their computers. I'm sure it is a nice hotel, but since they can't seem to actually hold a reservation (think Seinfeld here…) I'd not recommend making a reservation here unless you ACTUALLY want to stay in the Route 66 motel… which is where they sent me. It's worse than it sounds.

Stayed on two separate occasions for a week each time. Was there on business trips. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Every staff I encountered was excellent. The food in the bar and room service were good. I did not eat breakfast here, but heard from others staying that it was kind of pricey for what you get. Any time I needed anything, they were very responsive & helpful! I didn't have to park there, which is a garage not owned by the hotel. Also in walking distance to many great things in Springfield. Want to come back with my family, while not on business and will probably stay again if I do!

Beautiful hotel. I was only on the ground floor picking up a race packet but I would definitely stay here.

Old World service and elegance. Convenient location. Ample parking available.

Went for an event in the ballroom. The location is great! Food was delicious but the cash bar was outrageous. $7 for a bottle of beer. Not sure if that was because of the hotel or the event.

Teenagers rampaging the halls for some field trip and their chaperones were terrible and irresponsible. Room service was slow and the food was chewy and cold. Pillows sucked and the sheets were almost as thin as the restaurants steaks.

Pros: Booked Junior executive room on 11th floor. Great rate for off season! Spacious and clean room. Well received at reception. Will was very helpful. Nice furnishing. Decent meal at pub. Nice lobby! Nice Hilton Honors Lounge on 11 floor. Cons: No free breakfast. No free parking. No microwave in room. Loud slamming doors up and down the hall.

We stayed on the 11th floor, it was a nice room. Our only complaint was we lost the key, and we couldn't get a new key at the front desk because we didn't pay for the room. We had to get our friend who booked the room to get a new key. Attached parking was nice, 7 bucks a day.

Easy app setup. Use your phone to open the doors. Although it seems to be spotty, the app does work well. The room was very clean. Breakfast in the morning was actually very good. Great service. We had a great stay.

The staff was friendly, and enjoyed the welcome cookie. Nice size rooms. The hotel was cold. The pool is a 3-4 foot deep pool with a gritty bottem. The pool deck was covered in water even with only a few people in it. The water was cold. No changing rooms in the locker room just bathroom stalls. The lockers were blocked by a bench, so you had to climb over to get to the locker. No changing tables for babies.

Nice room clean and neat. Friendly staff Free Wi-Fi. I'd stay there again. Bonus, they give you a warm tasty cookie at check in.

Always provides excellent service. I stay here several times a year and the hotel staff goes above & beyond to ensure that each guest is as comfortable as possible. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Service was top notch. Check in was quick and easy. Room was spacious and the gym was one of the best hotel gyms I've ever worked out in. Those oatmeal walnut cookies at the front desk were delicious! I've got another training to attend in a month. I look forward to staying there again.

Good service but not include breakfast.

When the legislature is in session, it's almost impossible to get a room here but that's because it's one of the nicer hotels in the area. The rooms were redone about 10-15 years ago and they've been maintained well over time. The front desk is very helpful with recommendations and I love the warm chocolate walnut cookie at check-in. The location couldn't be any better, just blocks from the capitol, mansion and Lincoln sites. I highly recommend.

Stayed for a conference. Easy location to reach, and very nice rooms. Pool and fitness room with new Precor equipment in the basement. Meeting rooms were nice, and the food provided for the conference was good. The hotel is accessible to the historical downtown areas. Parking is inexpensive ($7) and connected to the hotel via a series of elevators, which are a little confusing to navigate.

We arrived not having a reservation, and we met Bruce at the front desk. He understood are situation and helped get us the cheapest rate for both hotel and parking. He was SO kind and got us on the Hilton Honors floor AND free breakfast, even though we weren't that high up in membership. They also had a couple people impersonating Abe Lincoln. The room was large and nice, with an interesting blend of old and new. This will FOR SURE be where I am staying on a return trip to Springfield.

One of the best Hotels we have stayed in in a long time and we travel a lot. Everything has been smooth from reservations to comfort and service. Had drink s in the bar, bar tender was exceptional. Valet service noted I left my phone in the car and brought it to my room. Room is perfect!

Attended a seminar. Hotel is very clean. Staff is very attentive. Would highly recommend hosting business meetings at this location.

Centrally located, friendly employees. Was able to check in and get to my room quickly. Plus, nothing beats the warm cookie!

Room was clean and fresh. Did not experience service or beds since we were just visiting a friend, not spending the night. Overall pleasing appearance and staff was friendly. Paying for parking was a surprise though.

Nice hotel. Customer service was good. Parking is bad. You have to pay by the hour up to 7 hours. No free parking. Gave us cookies upon checkin. Rooms were as expected in a hotel.

We had a blast while visiting the Abe Lincoln sights in Springfield. Although our rooms weren't ready until about an hour after check in, we were provided with warm cookies and bottled water while we waited. I also enjoyed the fruit infused water available in the lobby. Nice pool, good temperature. Excellent location. You can walk everywhere. The room was clean, and the hotel was lovely. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Parking was close and very affordable. Overall, a wonderful stay!

I very highly recommend this hotel. I have stayed at most of the hotels in Central Illinois, and the high level of customer service, beautiful decor and well maintained rooms make this property by far the best hotel in Central Illinois. My wife and I had a very ambitious travel plan. We flew out of Philadelphia to Chicago at 5:15 am. We had to leave our home at 3:30 am. Unfortunately, the night before leaving we both had work issues come up. To make a long story short, we spent a day traveling with a three year old on literally no sleep. By the time we made it to the DoubleTree in Springfield, Illinois, we had experienced problems with the rental car company, flight issues and our trip was not off to a very good start. I am embarrassed to say I was short and not a very good customer with the staff. The customer service at the DoubleTree completely turned our trip around. The staff went out of their way to make us feel like we were special and at home. If it had not been for the staff at the DoubleTree our trip would have been ruined. But from the front desk staff, to the maintenance men in the hallways, to the management, everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home. The customer service at this DoubleTree is second to none. The hotel is unbelievably clean, elaborately decorated and impeccably maintained. The staff is polite, courteous and has a constant smile on their face.

My wife and I had a terrible experience at the Doubletree this past weekend. After making our reservation months ago after registering for the Lincoln Half-Marathon, we arrived after a long drive from Chicago excited to get a few hours sleep before having to wake up early for our race. Imagine our dismay at being told that the hotel had overbooked and that we would have to stay at the Mansionview Inn instead. The Mansionview was a total dump — a dirty room, an uncomfortable bed, and a loud train track around the corner. The Doubletree seemed to think that paying for our night at the Mansionview adequately compensated for the tremendous disservice of not honoring our reservation and the inconvenience to our pre-race expectation and routine. They did not even comp the second night back at the Doubletree! And of course there was no manager on duty to hear my complaints and offer adequate service. It's been several days and even after leaving messages with two other personnel and a message on the manger's answering machine, I still haven't spoken to a manager. Alas, I find myself on Facebook. Perhaps I will finally hear from someone now. Perhaps. Do not stay here! They don't know how to treat their customers!

I didn't stay in a room this year though the experience was just as nice at our gala. Host staff were attentive and friendly, and I had no complaints on the evening. The room I stayed in last year was a little pricey but very nice.

Rooms were very nice and well appointed. The restaurant, Lindsays, is a slight bit run down, with things like obvious water damage visible. Still, staff was pleasant, on point, and professional. In terms of the event, there seemed to be some problems getting everyone their food. There wasn't enough soup to go around, and the banquet manager didn't seem to know how to handle that. Other than getting what was paid for the event was very nice.

I was at this hotel on November 7th 2015. The staff was nice and the rooms were clean.

Ballroom banquet understaffed and chicken served very under cooked (RARE)! Embarrassing disaster for the hosting company. We were sitting with mortified host.

Went there for a yugioh regional tournament. Staff was very courteous and building was impressively clean.

The Lady who welcomed us at the front desk could not have been nicer! The cook in the dining room at breakfast time was excellent! I wish I remembered their names so I could sing their praises! I visited Sept. 9th of this year with my friend Elsa Bruining who shared the same appreciation of our visit.

Love the location! Beautifully decorated too! Pool & hot tub are super clean, spacious fitness area with showers & lockers!

I don't often write reviews, but in this case, I felt I had to. The rooms at the hotel were comfortable and clean, but what truly made our stay pleasant was the courteous staff. Our church had a conference with over 600 guests staying at their hotel. From the beginning, they were warm and patient and most accommodating to our needs. In particular, I need to mention a man named Kevin who went out of his way to help me obtain a lounge chair with a high enough back for me to sleep in (I have a health issue that requires me to sleep sitting up most of the night). He and his staff lugged this huge and comfy chair from the downstairs lounge into my room. That's true service! Thanks to him, I was able to sleep comfortably the 3 nights I was there. Keep up the good work, Kevin and Abraham Lincoln staff!

Never again. Staying in room on eight floor and its obvious housekeeping did a poor job. Later in the evening used the bathroom and discovered pink mold in the corner near the shower and hair everywhere. What the hell.

We were very happy with this hotel. The rooms were clean; the pool area was clean; the staff were helpful; and the Lincoln is centrally located to all of the historic sights we wanted to visit. I think the most helpful people at the hotel were the valet staff. They were attentive and full of information. The only thing that would have made it a little easier on us would have been a city map with all of the restaurants marked out. We didn't realize how close we were to some of our favorites. It was a great hotel and we will recommend the Abraham Lincoln to anyone.

The hotel, is wonderful. Rooms are very nice. I have stayed twice, and looking forward to my next stay.

Room was clean, only issue was the unprofessional front desk staff. In the room directory the first page you open to has "lunch and dinner" menu hours are 11AM-10PM. When I called the room service button on the phone at 2PM, it was redirected to the front desk. The front desk clerk stated the resturant was closed, I asked why, she said "because they are". After some probing she said they open 4PM. I asked her why the menu in the room stated they have lunch was in the room. Her words were "she doesn't know what is in the room". She was help, she could have offered suggestions of options. Lack of hospitality will be the reason I won't recommend this hotel to my co-workers.

I chose to stay at the Hilton tonight, across the street from the Abraham Lincoln Hotel. I walked over to have dinner, and was turned away at 8:42, because they closed at 9PM. I pointed out that 8:42 was before 9, and the woman looked at me blankly and said, "Yes, but we're closing. " I haven't stayed there for the last several years, and tonight confirmed my choice. Staff was odd and uninviting, and were clearly hopeful that the guests would all go away, so they could go back to sleep.

I judge this hotel on cleanliness only. It's not going to be super luxurious, but it's clean. Staff was very friendly. I was able to walk around without shoes in my room, which is a plus. I would stay here again if I visited Springfield.
