For Locals they wanted to charge a $250 cash deposit upon arrival and have Security/Housekeeping check room before checkout. WTH! so I left Immediately and went to a different hotel. Will Never Set Foot In the Hotel again. (Nothing was mentioned or posted when I booked online)

This hotel used to be nice once upon a time. It has fell into disrepair. This place is dated and dirty. I took photos and videos to post. We will not return to stay again. Upon arrival you have to park on a parking ramp … very small and cramped. The ramp needs repairs and is dimly lit at night. The stairwell reminds you of an old hospital. It smells and is dirty. In the hotel upon check in I asked for the copy of the bill to be told I had to wait until check out. The main lobby was nice and most likely had the only microwave sitting on a fancy buffet. Upon entering our room for two nights we seen the carpet is dirty and stained. There was a pillow on the bed with what appeared to be blood and bodily fluid of some nature. The bathroom door is a closet door with no lock. There are no liners in the garbage cans. There is a spot in the floor that my husband stepped on and it is soggy… and we are on the 8th floor. The water in the bathroom has a smell (made your skin itchy) and the air conditioner was super noisy. We had to deal with it or sweat to death. My daughter said the one bed smelled like pee. There is no access to a stairwell instead of using the elevator. It appears they have taken off the door handle to the door. The elevators are spooky at best. The wait is long. If you will need to be anywhere on time leave early to allow and extra 15 mins waiting for the elevator. The photos online look very nice but those are not an accurate representation of this establishment.

Horrible experience all around. This hotel needs shut down and Wyndham service was horrible and rude both over the phone and in person. The reservation line transfers you to third party outsourced agents who lie about amenities and waste a ton of time trying to upsell instead of actually helping you book a normal reservation. No amenities were open. Rooms are small. No room service and front desk was snarky and unhelpful. We traveled with children including a baby and the hotel service agents just caused us more stress. Overall the Wyndham Springfield City Centre is an overpriced, dirty hotel and I highly recommend booking a Hilton or Marriott instead.

I stayed at this hotel months ago, it was a horrible experience all together and I was promised a refund that I have yet to receive. First we chose this hotel because it advertised a bar and restaurant in the hotel claiming they were both open even giving the option to reserve a table, once we headed up to said bar and restaurant we discovered neither was actually open, there were actually teens up there doing drugs which was very awkward to walk out of the elevator to. The room was dirty with previous guest dirty clothes under the bed, the toilet was broke so it made horrible noises the whole time. I have reached out to management numerous times and was promised a refund Over a month ago which I have not received and now I am just ignored when I reach out about it. Management also sent me a picture to "prove" they sent a refund however the picture proved no such thing, it just stated when I stayed and how much I paid. I definitely would not recommend staying here. I wouldn't even rate this a 1.

They moved two rooms of kids to a different room on our wrestling trip at 3am because of a flood on our floor. Refunded one. Then double charged our credit card when we paid cash for the rooms. Then they tried to blame our students for the flooded floors in the rooms they were moved out of in the middle of the night because of “this issue that just happens sometimes. ” We were then charged an additional $350 for the flooding and for, allegedly, a broken bed. And the walls are so thin that we (and all of our students) on the floor, since it’s a circular hallway, heard the people in the adjacent rooms screaming obscenities, drunkenly fighting, and slamming doors until midnight. We will not be returning to this hotel next year for Abe’s Rumble.

We stayed there this past weekend. To say it was dirty and outdated is an understatement! If we could have got our money back we would have left and went to another hotel. The register was missing off the return air, the carpets were disgusting, what we thought was an old leak was NOT! I had the pleasure of stepping on wet carpet in the night. To top it off, the air stopped working during the night. Absolutely do not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Great location and view but does not make up for the fact that it was dirty! Spending a lot of money for a room and these are pictures on the way, outside and in our room only. On top of parking, no fridge/microwave, no breakfast and only 1 shampoo, conditioner and washcloth for two adults registered for the room!
First let down by Wyndham and will not be returning to this location!

I loved walking in the tile on the front stairs case is so detailed and intricately done. The elevator is so neat — you can see the WHOLE CITY while you’re ascending up to your room! :) I LOVE exploring local fares and even in my hometown I find local places and spaces that surprise me in the best ways! Wyndham surprised me today with warmth, hospitality and the fact they ARE still around is a HUGE DEAL for even locals who enjoy places that are special to go “out on the town to enjoy” like NICK & NINO’s PENTHOUSE to really remember what the finer are things are like ;) like biting into the juiciest, 24oz porterhouse mouth watering and delicious. I can say after traveling all over North America for the past 19 years, being surprised by hotels is a valued rarity :) thank you for the stay, I enjoyed it, especially today!

After having what we would call a bad experience with the hotel, the lady at the desk this morning made it right. She apologized and took responsibility rather than make excuses. We were given a refund, and they will be given another chance. COVID has affected everyone so that’s the least we can do. I really appreciate the nice woman giving us the time to talk it out and because if that I have changed my review to show how accommodating and understanding they are.

Horrible front desk service, poor quality amenities, ABSOLUTELY CONFUSING parking, paid for a “ junior suite”… coffee maker didn’t work, shampoos & lotions had been used, as well as the coffee cups, no microwave, no mini fridge. I travel a lot and have always associated Wyndham with upscale hotels & amenities. Not any more.

If you looking for nice quiet, clean place to stay. Do not stay here. The entire night kept hearing pipes hitting each other. Or maybe a creature crawling around. Was so loud had to turn on white noise so daughter could sleep. Bathroom toilet leaked all over the floor then wouldn't flush. Bathroom bathroom got flooded out. Had to switch rooms. Had friends staying on same floor In 2 separate rooms. Both said same thing couldn't sleep due to noise. One of their rooms had over an inch of standing water in tub. Staff had to get plunger and get water out. Then had to clean it due to clean brown chunks. Not sure how cleaning staff missed that. So save your money for quieter quieter and cleaner place to stay.

Go there three times a year for Elks meetings, friendly and helpful staff, clean, ample meeting rooms! Convenient to Springfield restaurants! Great men’s clothing store on site, coffee shop and breakfast buffet!

The front desk guy that seems to always be there is very argumentative with the customer and seem to not care about anything they are asked.
The ceilings rain on you when it is raining outside.
The rooms look clean on the surface but don't look past the surface! We found pills under the bed, trash under just about everything in the room, they washed the coffee maker with lots of soap and when you make coffee it is with an added soapy flavor. Their favorite this to do when they know the hotel made a mistake or you had a bad experience is to offer up their wonderful over charged continental breakfast that most hotels offer for free. But not this hotel they charge you $15. Other hotels even charge less and offer free breakfast. It is time to close this place down and either blow it up or completely renovate it.

We went to a Christmas party there the atmosphere was beautiful the food was amazing and the people were top notch friendly The bar at the top is a little spooky for me though lol.

Used their facilities for our charity event and were blown away! They were so nice and helped us whenever they could. Fast too! Can’t wait to see them this year :)

Do not recommend. Upon arrival, I noticed the rooms have no microwave or mini-fridge. I am staying here for two weeks on business, so that is kind of a big inconvenience. I was able to request a fridge, so I can now eat cold food. The room is OK at best. If I was not here for work, I would spend my money somewhere else. And this all could have been overlooked except for the newest problem: The air conditioning has been broken for two whole days now. Currently, the thermostat in my room is reading 87 degrees, and, obviously, no windows to open. Staff continues to state that they have no clue as to when the air conditioning will be back on. Again, 100% would not recommend.

Everyone should beware before U book any events, if you let them cater the food, they will STEAL it @ the end of the night! No matter how many guests you have paid for, No matter how much food is left, they WILL NOT let U take home any left overs, 1st they say its against the Health Dept, then when? further, they say its against State code=Which is it? / Yeah Right! but its ok for them to feed it to you while U R There! They claim they take it back to the Kitchen & Throw it away, Ummm? if that's the case why did they take it back in whole untouched pans? or throw it away in front of you, Appears to me, they take it back to the kitchen for the staff to take it home! NEVER AGAIN!

I will never ever tell someone who pays $109 for a room, that has no microwave, TV remote dont work, no giftshop, nothing to do but spend money in the club lounge. Prices was okay. So now you are asked about breakfast. Thought it was free, nope with tax $14.14… but guess what u have to order and wait for all hot food to be prepared. So u sitting here hungry and have to wait. The rooms was not clean and the man in the breakfast room is rude as hell. Will never come here again. Better off sleeping in a motel 6

Our room was not clean. It has obviously been surfaced cleaned only. Big stain on the drapes, see pics. Bathroom was dirty, see pics. And the bathroom was so tiny you barely had room to move. Yes we booked under a government rate, but I would expect a hotel of this quality to be clean. I’m shocked. One good thing is the staff is kind at the breakfast buffet. Dave was very nice. But the buffet was way over priced. I would not return for leisure unless I checked the room first. This was a business trip.

Staff, friendly very helpful all were courteous would definitely come back.

The Wyndham outdid themselves for my husband’s Vietnam Veteran’s Reunion! We had a hospitality room that everyone enjoyed! Many comments on the excellent food at the 3 dinner meals served by the Wyndham. The breakfasts were wonderful in the breakfast room. The rooms were clean and the presidential suite was great. Thanks for the great week!

Room was awesome, but they nickle and dime you to death. Expect to pay for breakfast, parking, or even to sleep in a little longer. The counter manager was very rude, didn't seem to wanna take care of us, and charged me for everything. Plus I asked to sleep in later and housekeeping kept knocking on my door all morning long to wake me when I paid an extra 10$ to sleep in an extra hour. The view of the hotel is beautiful and the bed was so nice. I probably wont stay at this hotel again after all it cost and the headache I dealt with from housekeeping waking me every hour to clean my room. They need to have better collaboration with the staff renting the rooms and the house keepers so they dont aggravate the guests who are sleeping in.

Attentive staff with nice size rooms. Close to lots of shops and restaurants. The room service is really good. Definitely will stay here again. Had a cute bellhop and house keeping guy as well.

Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms. The pool area was very clean and relaxing and the front desk staff was extremely nice, especially Chris. I also liked the fact the deposit is only $25, which was promptly returned to my card within a business day. The breakfast buffet was delicious with multiple menu items both hot and cold and Starbucks is right on the premises. Great location as well and the view from our upper level room was spectacular! I would stay here again if in the area.

The hotel was nice. It reminded me of one of those fancy hotels you see in the movies. The room we're big. Our room had a hallway and a sliding door for the bathroom. You also have a pool. The pool goes up to 5 foot. There is also a fitness room. The service there was extremely good. They told you every detail about parking. They have there own parking garage but you have to pay once you leave it.

The location is great — very short walking distance to historic sites and other activities. Friendly staff and easy parking — there’s a garage or you can do street parking for free on the weekends. There’s a restaurant and a Starbucks attached, both of which were good and the staff was kind. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed, but it could’ve been cleaner. The floor hadn’t been vacuumed, there were a couple stains on the insides of the bedspread, and the tub was a little dirty. Despite the cleanliness, you can’t beat the price and the location.

Attended an event in an upper conference room. The room had a beautiful view for miles around. The room was very warm and never cooled off. The food was good. Parking was easily accessible and cheap.

Being the tallest point in a flat land makes this monumental hotel the only personal mapping device needed when strolling through the exotic and unique shops of historic Springfield. Excellent dining and shopping choices are a minute's stroll away.

This building represents the Springfield Illinois Skyline. Other than the capitol, this is the only building you can see from miles away. It is an iconic building and part of the fabric in downtown Springfield. They have done a great job of keeping it updated and current. I would recommend this venue for events, receptions, and small retreats.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Wyndham. The rooms were clean with good views of the area. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. And the food was delicious. I will stay here again.

The location is ideal for someone going to Springfield for professional reasons. It is accessible to all locations, with food many options at walking distance. The staff are always helpful, and are willing to make accommodations.

LOVED this hotel! The bed was comfy and the lobby was beautiful, clean and elegant. My room was very clean, and I had a great view from my 11rh floor room. The grill (restaurant there) has a great Happy hour and good food. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because ther was no refrigerator, microwave or free breakfast. They do have a Starbucks connected to the hotel and the grill restaurant where you can buy breakfast.

In Springfield Illinois I was there at that hotel for my convention with the Knights of Columbus for the Illinois District this is the second time that I have been there it is one of the largest hotels in the City of Springfield and the state capital and we even had rooms that had parties Suites set one up to the 30th floor of the hotel especially day or night it has a fantastic View you could see the capital and the surrounding City of Springfield Illinois very highly recommended.

Nice hotel overall, but on a windy day the building makes a lot if noise. It could have been the wind too but the cable kept going out as well. There is a Starbucks in the lobby and the breakfast buffet was good.

Friend's brother busted his head open and had to have 5 staples. Best hotel I have ever been to! (Especially because I haven't stayed here before) 11/10 would rate again!

As I did not stayed in this hotel (i attended a professional event), I can only focus on my limited experience. It is in the center of Springfield, has accommodating staff and comfortable meeting rooms.

The reservation line for this hotel is outsourced. I could not hear or understand the man trying to take my reservation. I ended up calling the hotel directly and explained the situation to the front desk clerk. She said she could try to make the reservation for me. I tried making a reservation for a 1 night stay on a Friday night. I was flexible on the date. I was told for a Friday night stay they were only taking reservations for two nights. They were unwilling to make an exception even if I was booking 3 weeks out. This used to be our favorite hotel to stay at in Springfield. It’s a shame we can’t seem to get a room. Needless to say I am disappointed in the customer service I received.

The Wyndham is downtown just a few blocks from the capital. The hotel is the tallest building in Springfield, and easy to find. The rooms are nice, and the beds comfortable. We were there on a weekend, and there was a bit of noise, but most of the noise died down before 10:30. This was our second stay, and a would stay there again.

The room was ok, location was good. But found bed bugs… disgusting. The comforter looked so old. Also, restaurant downstairs didn’t have very good food, over priced for the quality. Overall, disappointed with condition of room.

Definitely and older hotel. Even though it's the tallest hotel I was amazed the upkeep was mediocre at best. I was also disappointed the Wi-Fi is not secure. They need to secure they're Wi-Fi so their patrons can be safe while surfing the net. Use your data service instead to avoid hacking to your devices.

God awful knocking noises in the walls every night of my stay! When I called the front desk about the noise at 4 am they offered me ear plugs and told me it was a good thing I was hearing that noise. The noise was something related to the high winds and the grids or beams rattling to secure the building (didn’t make sense to me either) the restaurant food was not the best either, order incorrect or take forever! Choose wisely.

Stayed in room and left my door tag off. To clean my room. Came in that evening feom. Work. The room was filthy. Tub not. Cleaned and I spilled something on my sheets and pulled it off to show them it needed to be changed. Only to get in the bed that evening and pull my sheet back and the housekeeper remade that bed with the same sheet. Housekeeping came and cleaned the room that night. That is so disgusting and unclean. It makes me not trust nothing sanitary about this hotel.

Good service. Nice area to walk around and places to eat. A lot of amenities. The hotel itself is huge.

Visited for a Conference. Rooms are in need of an update but are clean and spacious. The restaurant on the 30th floor is pricey but the food is good and atmosphere like a modern Chicago steakhouse. The only other option was bar for. Would have given a 4 if there was another food option. Overall I would stay here when visiting for pleasure.

I visited this place for a conference and had a great experience! The accommodations are clean and modern, the staff is so friendly, and the rooms are very comfortable. Plus there's a Starbucks in the hotel! Jerry Seinfeld was performing in town one night and he stayed here and we saw him! I look forward to coming back for the conference next year, for sure.

Been here several times and always enjoyed my stay. This time I left my phone charger in room. The first call back I was told it wasn't found. I knew that's where I had left it, so Ruth said she would look again. Next day she called to say it had been found in general lost and found (no room #). It was given to a co-worker and returned to me.

Great downtown location fantastic for hosting am event. Affordable dining off the lobby and upscale options in the penthouse level. The large room was comfortable and surprisingly a great value.

Place seems to be going downhill. Rooms are pretty outdated and on top of that it wasn't that clean. Prepared meals for a conference we're not very good either.

I was attending a conference, the parking garage was being worked on so the parking was 1 1/2 blocks walk unless you pay for valet, $18, or you had handicapped placard then it was free. The food was wonderful, The room clean but a bit narrow but it is a circular hotel so you couldn't get lost. Temperature in meeting rooms was very cool so I had to wear a cardigan. No refridgerator, you have to ask to get one, I asked them to put my insulin in fridge & although they did it, it is against policy to touch anything. Hadicapped rooms do not have a tall toilet, they have same height as regular rooms but they did have handicapped toilet seat extenders, no charge. Overall it was fine. I don't know what regular rate is but if it is more than $70 I wouldn't stay. No free breakfast, of any kind. Buffet, $13, was ok, didn't get much choice, 2 scrambled eggs types, bacon & sausage, fresh fruit & breads. I've had biscuits & gravy or waffles at "cheaper" hotels that I didn't have to pay for.

Very nice staff. They are friendly and take care of the guests every need. Nice breakfast. Check out the Grille. A lil pricey but well worth it. The have store an a Starbucks too!

Beautiful room. And the service of the reception very good. It's worth a lot.

Room is okay. The elevators are devastatingly slow. We got here and were informed that parking would be offsite. There’s a train that runs nearby that is crazy loud. Starbucks is here so that makes up for a lot. But I was with a wedding block and we were supposed to be on the same floor. We were all scrambled throughout the hotel which was really inconvenient.

I attended a business meeting in one of the conference rooms. Perfect for the group's needs. They served a delightful fruit and pastry breakfast buffet. Signage made it easy to find and parking was very convenient.

Fairly nice hotel. Staff is courteous and friendly. Layout of guest rooms in circular building makes for extremely narrow hallways. So narrow in fact that a housekeeping cart completely blocks the hallway. Vending machines are far and few between, and then you are lucky if they work and don't steal your money. Rooms are clean and comfortable, although there is no refrigerator or microwave for convenience. The parking garage was undergoing construction and renovation so parking was a giant pain (although it didn't stop them from charging their full $7 a day rate). This was my second stay here but it will probably be my last.

Room was very clean, with a nice layout. Staff was very friendly and eager to help. Location was very central and easy to access (along with having the only Starbucks in downtown Springfield). The pool was nice although I wish there was a hot tub alongside it.

Comfortable room. Wifi was free, parking was not. Lots to see in walking distance including the Lincoln museum and library. Hotel has Starbucks in it so to can get breakfast. Breakfast is not included in your room rate. Slept comfortably so overall it was a nice stay.

My room and the staff were great. The inconvenience of only 1 working elevator was extremely annoying. The wait time was horrible to get from one floor to the next. My room was on the 26th floor and attending a wedding on the 29th floor. It was about a 15 minute wait trying to go from one to the other each way. Up or Down. The breakfast buffet was ok. Nothing spectacular. The eggs were far from hot, but not cold. I went around 7:30am. Wasn't impressed. Though I had an excellent dinner at the wedding.

Rooms are great. Was here for a convention and the facilities were decent. Problem with the bathroom. The toilet ran. The water in the shower went to very hot to cold when rooms near you were using the water. The restaurant in the hotel was understaffed. It also took 30 minutes for a to go order of soup and fries, which they forgot the first time.

We had a mediocre experience at the hotel. The first staff member that we encountered was not friendly or helpful. In addition, when we arrived at The Grille, it was slow as there weren't any patrons… just employees chatting, eating food and basically ignoring us. When a staff member walked by and asked if we were being helped, we replied that we were not. He went to one of the food-munching employees and said that there are customers waiting. She replied as if she didn't see us. The food was horrible, extremely over salted. On the other hand, we encountered some very helpful staff, thus the 3 star rating. Just as a side note, the room was very dusty, and one actually could see large pieces of dust flying around.

Very close (2 blocks) from the Lincoln Neighborhood and the Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, so very convenient. Only complaint I have is the shower in my room. The water kept cycling rapidly between hot and cold, so you had to move in and out of the shower stream. After traveling for nearly 5 hours and walking around the sites for 5 hours I was really looking forward to a nice hot shower.

For a Wyndam, rooms are a bit dated — — both in decoration and tech — — they have yet to update to include easily accessible charging stations — had to pull the nightstand away from the wall to plug in a charger. Wait for elevators was very reasonable considering tower. Valet parking was super quick to respond and bring or take car. Breakfast buffet was very good with nice variety, especially for being included in room cost. Lobby bar offers dinner more reasonably priced than fine dining at tower top. Not impressed with the steak dinner in lobby restaurant — — meat not flavorful and "garlic mashed potatoes" seemed to be regular almost tasteless mashed potatoes with a bunch of melted butter poured over them — no garlic to be found. Attended a reception, food was good for that event, as well as good service.

We had the pleasure of having Loren Ray as our wedding coordinator at the Wyndham Springfield City Centre. His attention to detail surpassed our wildest dreams. He was in communication with us every step of our wedding details, he doubled checked that everything was taken care of and helped with special hotel accommodations for our guests. He organized a themed chalk board to guide our guests once in the hotel lobby and he was present to make sure each place setting was exactly as we wanted them. I wish we could hire Loren for every party we host, you couldn't ask for a more suited planner to help you pull off the event of your dreams. The entire staff was incredibly helpful and on point, from the chef's perfectly cooked dishes to Pauline's tender care of my grandmother — I couldn't be more pleased with our experience at the Wyndham Springfield. We have had many of our guests comment during and after how wonderful the hotel staff was. Thank you Loren & Wyndham Springfield for being part our wedding! John & Lisa Novak.

The hotel is in a great location for walking and visiting all of the sights around town. I have stayed at better hotels. Parking garage the hotel recommends is city owned, camera's located at the entrance to the hotel. Be careful parking in the garage as we had an incident with vandalism to our car while staying at the hotel. And do not expect a baggage cart, those are hard to come by.

When my husband made reservations he was told this was a 4.5⭐hotel, very much a deception. We stayed in room 911, should have asked for another room. We were next to a room full of teen girls doing some sort of pageant and the chaperones were another door down and had a young child that was unruly up to past midnight. You can hear thru the walls, very thin (we complained about the teens running the halls between rooms and making racket next door). There was a live ladybug crawling on the ceiling and we had two dirty pillowcases when we checked in. The vent in the bathroom has no fan. The shower curtain was moldy and gross. We paid $200 for a basic room, way too expensive. I've stayed in motels that were cleaner. Their idea of bathroom basic needs is far below my own expectations. The toilet bowl was cracked and the shower head does not switch nozzle positions, stuck on superfine mist, we had to use a cup to rinse off. There are only two outlets available, one under the desk that you have to crawl to reach and the outlet in the bathroom that has no ventilation. We ate the buffet breakfast that came with the room charge. It was better than OK. The fruit is great. They serve two types of eggs, sausage links and bacon, gravy with biscuits, a large variety of pastries and cereals. The floor by the pastery items was sticky and needed cleaning. I had to notify the staff that the sausages were barely lukewarm, dangerous. They hopped on remedying the issue right away. That was nice.

We were at pinnacle club last night. The pricing on the menu and your actual drinks are different. The drinks in your menu no longer represent what you serve. No dry ice in the lemon drop martini. Huge disappoint. We live going up there for drinks. Best view in the city. . However we were very disappointed. The staff didn't know what they were doing. Asked for bar mix. Never got it. Might I add. We were the only people there …

I would love to give this hotel a high rating. The people are very kind and the interior is aesthetically pleasing. The problem with it is the cleaning service. When we first got to the hotel there was hair in the bathtub and on the towels. When the cleaning service came around again they barely did anything. The beds were made (one made without the comforter) and we got new towels. That was it. The floor wasn't vaccumed, the sink was disgusting, they did not give us new toiletries, and we did not get new hand towels. The sink doesn't drain and one of the water glasses was cracked. I would prefer never to have to stay at this hotel again.

This was the first hotel that I every stayed in. It was pretty good, I loved the view of Springfield. I don't really have much to compare it to. The beds were soft, the service was amazing, there are a ton of places to visit, plus, there's an indoor Starbucks. What more can you ask for?

Very, very nice hotel with a really great atmosphere. But, whenever you leave your belongings behind and you call to get things back, the managing at front desk and in house-keeping is VERY bad. Staff didn't seem professional by their lack of communication, taking credit-card information then unknowing how much it is to get belongings shipped to your front door, and only finding 1 out 2 items. Great front desk staff! Very polite and helpful. Would stay again.

Nice rooms, comfortable beds. I was there for conference:the rooms were cold and the food was just ok. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Worst Hilton I have ever stayed in. In additon to the staff being clueless they placed me in a disgusting room with a bed that was made out of cardboard. The Hilton Doubletree across the street is much nicer with a better staff.

Room was nice. Stayed in an upper level room with a great view. Had dinner at the hotel bar and the food was good. Doesn't have power outlets easily accessible by the bed. It's downtown so there is no free parking.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in my entire life! The staff is horrible and the rooms are filthy! This place is so horrible it is not even worth my time to write more than this!

Had a gentlemen bang on my door while in bed at night around 2 am telling me to turn my TV down. I had turned on the TV several minutes before as I could not sleep due to teenagers being loud and going through my hallway. I informed the woman at the front desk and she simply said she couldn't do a thing because there was a complaint on my floor. Well, sorry miss, but I do not make noise any of the times I stay here just to sleep through the night. I think you may need better employees, or better yet, a system in place. Thanks for your time.

The worst Hilton I've ever stayed at. Cigarettes on the floor in the first room because it wasn't cleaned. Second room had a broken air conditioner.

I have a lot of family in Springfield and when I come down, I try to stay here. The rooms are spacious and the parking is reasonable. There always seems to be something wrong with my room whether it be the AC is broken or sink backed up, but they're always willing to move you. The breakfast in the morning is great.

Went for my sons wedding, the reception was to be in the illinois room I believe my wife wanted to take a peek at the room the receptionist couldn't find where the room was we had to find it ourselves. We found out later The wedding party was to get complimentary breakfast, nothing was offered, by the time we did find out we had already checked out. 2.50 for bottled water in the room Starbucks is in the lower level so forget about complimentary coffee. Validated parking, forget it $ 10.00 a day. I will say the room was ok and the neighbor an his companion really enjoyed themselves about 8:30 the first morning we were there.

Why this hotel can't handle their capacity eludes me. Waited in their reception line for an hour. Can I have my receipt? Sure, we'll slide it under the door. Not. I called to ask for it. Can we put you on hold? Sure, for over 20 minutes. I'm sure the operator was incredibly busy at 4:00 on a Monday.

I had my wedding at the Hilton Downtown Springfield. For the wedding, their services were great. The wait staff was excellent and the food was great. They treated us like royalty! They made sure everything was easy going and as problem free as possible. We had the whole 29th floor (for both Ceremony and Reception) and the views were gorgeous. We used the first floor for pictures and they were amazing. It was nice having everything from ceremony to reception to after party at the hotel and then people were able to go to their rooms at the end of the night. Our suite was splendid! Again the staff were more than pleasant and welcoming. I would definable recommend the Hilton for hosting a wedding (and the price was not that bad). For the wedding aspect I would give them 5+ stars. The only reason I cannot give them five stars is because of the hotel aspect of things. We created a block of rooms for our guests and the closer the date got people could not reserve rooms through our block and the hotel was "booked solid". Weeks prior to this my husband and I was informed that "nothing was going to be going on in Springfield. " However that was not the case. Several things ended up going on that weekend, along with another wedding and several of my guests had to stay across the street. What was most upsetting about it all was that even though people could not book under our block, people could still book online (when the hotel was supposed to be booked).

Not Good, As soon as any winds start to blow outside, the whole building creaks, and makes noise all night. Couldn't sleep at all, if you stay their better hope the weather is calm. Elevators are unbelievable slow, and breakfast buffet is average at best and expensive. You will pay downtown Chicago prices for southern Illinois food.

We were in town to visit the hospital and decided to stay here because it was close and had a pool so our child could swim. When we arrived we found a dead bug on the desk chair. The bathroom door didn't seem to close properly. I couldn't tell that the pool was heated because I found it to be cold. Also there was a music festival on the street below the hotel that prevented us from getting a good nights sleep. I know that the hotel couldn't do anything about the music, but it would have been nice to be able to move our family to other side of the hotel to get away from the sound. All in all I would say that this is a good place, but not one that I will be staying in again.
