We stayed here after a long trip home. Everyone was very helpful and very friendly. I would recommend this to all who need a place to relax after a long drive. Very pet friendly ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars and 5 hearts 🥰

Good comfy hotel for price.

They didn't book our room after we had a confirmation number from them the rooms were dirty the beds had garbage under the mattresses and the bathroom Linens were filthy service was terrible would not do anything to get us a room. I'd sleep in my car next time if I had to sleep there.

Booked last minute no problem. Clean updated lobby. I was traveling with 3 kids under 9. Pool small, perfect for young children, teens and up may be disappointed. But good small Continental breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.

Overall this was a very nice hotel. We had very comfy beds, a dip in the pool, and an encounter with a very friendly staff member. The only issues were that there were ants in the baked goods section, a different staff member who wasn't as friendly and the lack of working ice machines.

Rented a room for 2 nights. So far on first night the room never feels like it's gonna cool off, so stuffy. Key card won't stay activated. The pool is only good for little children. It's tiny and only goes to 3 feet. My teenage kids are very disappointed as well as myself.

Great experience on very short notice. Deskt clerk informative. My GPS sent me to a bad address but the front desk gave me great easy directions. Room was clean and comfortable. Half the cost and twice the aervice of the previous nights stay.

This is probably the worst hotel I have stayed at in many years. It’s very dirty. The floor looks like it hasn’t been vacuumed in a month. Crumbs on the counter. It was all sticky by the coffee pot. There was water and black spots in the ice bucket. I sat in the chair and that was sticky. I will not come back to this place or recommend it to anyone.

Room was clean and orderly upon arrival but stuffy and took a good while to cool sufficiently. Entry guest water urn filled with particles of unknown origin. Evening desk staff were hard to find when needed. Electronic room locks failed while we were away, necessitating all new card keys, and many minutes to find the desk staff. Facility was reasonable; staff were like high school kids to bored and bothered to care.

Hotel was clean and modern. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a joke. It is in a great location.

Small room but clean and comfortable. Priced very right! Every member of staff we met were helpful and very friendly. Great safe location. My highest recommendation ☺

Modern looking room in convenient area with an AMC theater and a variety of restaurants near. Comparable to slightly higher price, this is worth a look. Bright, clean room. No microwave, shame. Elevator to this floor, pool inside. Will check back after breakfast. ESPN regular not here.

An excellent hotel. We stayed here for one night on Friday, April 20, 2018, and we were very pleased with the cleanliness of the room, the comfort of the beds, and the ease of locating the hotel, and its proximity to area attractions and other Springfield amenities. The room was very quiet and we were able to rest comfortably before the long drive home the next day. My mother, who was traveling with me, mentioned that when we travel in the future we will always try to reserve a room at a Microtel Inn & Suites, if one is available. I heartily second that.

Very nice place for the price. Breakfast was good. Only complaints the pool room was cold. Thermostat was broken. Also my son fell in the shower because the tub was slippery. Put a towel on the tub for the rest of the nights there. Other than that. Great experience overall.

I haven't even checked in but the customer service has already been horrible! I booked through Expedia a site that let's you know if there a deposit or any other associated fees at the time of booking. All of a sudden I get to the property and there is a $100 deposit because I live in town which is ass backwards because if u live in town then that would mean I'm probably not going to trash the room because I LIVE HERE! The fact that it was not stated about a $100 was a inconvenience, but hey don't convenience the people in the city who will book from you. And oh yeah magically they made this rule up a month ago! If it wasn't for my truck driver friend needing a room and he lost his ID's I wouldn't be here! Never again! But at least the lady at the front desk was nice and helpful, she did call her manager and she apologize! She was sweet.

Clean rooms friendly staff yes they have changed since my last visit with them and I will be coming back… Now what I did not like cause I own my own business I was not able to use the printer or fax machine to do work but other than that I love it… See you in May Microtel thanks for service.

It turned out to be a really convenient location. Staff was nice.

Check in was quick and easy. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. It could have used more pillows. There was only 3. The towels were worn and low quality. There were only 2. The breakfast was wonderful fresh and hot. Plenty of everything. It was a good stay for $89.99

Room 214 has mold in the bathroom the paint on the bathroom ceiling paint chipping there are no king size beds only queen when I got into my room I left right back out to because I had somewhere to be in 10min Remember to check your room! Because most likely they won't change it after you been in the room past a certain amount of time the Candlewood hotel across the street is much better.

Overall a nice place. However, when we made the reservation we asked for a crib in the room. When we checked in they said that they didn't have any available cribs, but that they gave us a second bed instead. Our squirmy 8 month old cannot sleep safely in a queen-sized bed, and when we finally said that we might need to find a different hotel (again, safety reasons), she called the manager and said they could find one for us. About an hour later, I went to the front desk to see of they had found it, and there was a very dirty pack-n-play in the hallway that they had tried to clean out. We took it, because it was our only option at that point, but it really wasn't what we had expected. Overall the people in the hotel were friendly, and the room was clean, but I wish they had been upfront about crib availability earlier.

I was returning from a fishing trip with 2 of my boys. We got there at the Microtel hotel around 11:00 PM. My little one (5 year old) was already tired and ready to crash in the bed. The front desk woman was chit-chatting on the phone and we waited for 10 minutes even before she said hello. She took a call from another customer and kept us waiting and gave them a two bed room. I booked this hotel for a two bed room and she gave me a nasty twin bed room for 3 of us! She refused to change the room and I asked to speak to her manager. Manager, Mike was an extremely rude pompous piece of work. They charged my card for a service that I did not receive. I had to find a different hotel at midnight with my boys. You get what you pay for. This is why Mike is a manager at Microtel, not a manager at the Westin. Not a hotel for any decent folks. Trashy people manage this hotel with trashy attitude and filthy amenities.

We stayed here before and loved the stay. Thats why we came again. Not so much the same. Didn't have a refridgerator like last time. The heat wasn't working well and they wanted to charge us to move to another room. So we just asked for extra blankets and stayed in our room. We were just glad it was only for one night.

Nice room. Nice breakfast. Easy to find and close to the interstate. Restaurants close. Small shallow pool.

Fine place. Ok location. Cheap. Currently renovating. Mediocre breakfast but free.

Great room for the excellent price we got! Breakfast included! Bed was not overly soft, pillows were great, suite was clean. Mini fridge, pullout couch, kitchen sink. Conviently close to every thing. If we ever visit Springfield Illinois again this is where we will stay!

Beautiful hotel with a great aesthetic. The queen bedroom we had was small but I actually liked the size, it's good for a couple looking for a nice weekend. The mirror right next to the bed is a plus too. Great staff. The breakfast was average, but if you don't want that there's an IHOP right next to the hotel.

Nice stay with the family. No complaints. Breakfast on Sunday morning was good with sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff was friendly but when I booked this room I booked it for 2 adults and 3 children. We booked a room with a queen size bed and a pull out sleeper sofa for our kids to sleep in… we get in our room and then we are told that the sleeper sofa does not work so there for my children had to sleep on the dirty floor! If I would have known this we would have picked a different hotel but no one told us this until after we were checked in and ready for bed. I don't know how they expected a family of 5 to sleep on one queen size bed… I will never stay in this hotel again!

The location was perfect. It was right off the highway and located near many attractions in Springfield. When we arrived they did have some renovations under way but that was no big deal. They were keeping it very clean. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and the needs were clean and very comfortable. We had an issue with the in room hair dryer and it was taken care of very quickly! Thank you! The breakfast was included and tasty. If I had one thing to say that was not entirely favorable, he chlorine was very strong in the pool. We did not swim and I honestly wouldn't have here. We walked in the area and it bothered my eyes. Other than that it was great! We plan to stay again when we overnight in Springfield!

We stayed one night at the hotel. We have a 6 year old daughter who wanted to swim but there was so much chlorine in the water as soon as you walked into the room it burned your eyes and made it hard to breathe. The front desk person agreed it was bad, but acted like it wasn't his fault so it wasn't his problem. We also got stuck in the dirty, hot elevator for almost 5 minutes. When we told the front desk person he laughed and said yeah that happens, like it was a normal occurrence. The bathroom floor in the room was dirty and dusty and there was mold on the bottom of the shower curtain. The breakfast was very minimal, no pancakes or waffle option at usual continental breakfasts offered at most hotels. With many other options in Springfield to stay, we will be staying elsewhere next time.

It was a nice affordable hotel with comfortable beds and clean.

The room was ok… Properly, not impeccably cleaned but it was clean. The staff we met were nice and amiable. We were there from Friday till Sunday and enjoyed our stay. I especially liked the window bed… cool idea for reading by the window.

Decent hotel, probably wouldn't stay here again though, the room wasn't even cleaned before me and my wife checked in, the heater barely worked, there wasn't enough water pressure either… After complaint to housekeeper about room not being cleaned I think her name was Megan? She told me she wouldn't mind fixing up the room for us, and she had it done really fast, only problem was no shampoo or coffee, oh well.

I have family in the vicinity and have stayed here several times without incident. However my recent trip in Oct 2015 was a different story. We stayed 5 nights, 2 of which we required no housekeeping service, we got clean towels ourselves. The next 2 days we tipped Jennifer, the housekeeper $5 per day, she seemed to do a good job and was friendly. On the next day (for our last night), we tipped her $5 in advance, got towels and removed our trash and told her we would not need any other service (her supv witnessed this) and since our grandkids were visiting we all left for the tiny pool downstairs. Jennifer was there when we left. My bf took our laptops down to the car and since no one was supposed to be in our room, I felt I would be ok to leave my purse in a desk drawer. My granddaughters purses and some prescription meds were also left in the room. My bf came back to the room in a few minutes to get something and when he opened the door, he found Jennifer kneeling down by the desk with the drawer with my purse open. She jumped up and when he asked her why she was in our room, she said, "Uh, everything's ok, nothing is missing". She never answered. We made it clear, we needed no service and staff are to prop the doors open when working in them. My bf called me and the Mgr. I checked to be sure nothing was missing (she didn't have time). The Mgr again asked her why she was in our room… she still had no answer and she was fired on the spot.

Liked the room layout, and was pretty clean. There was a strong smell of room freshener when we came in the room, so I opened the window and aired it out for an hour. Couch sofabed was not too sturdy, but worked for our little kids, as did the tiny pool. Breakfast was fine.

The hotel was clean and the front desk staff were very nice. The free Wi-Fi worked well and there are a few restaurants nearby. The room was just a bit small, but clean. I would stay here again.

This hotel stay will go down in the annals of vacation traveling, as the "hotel stay from hell. " I would sleep in my car before I would stay in this hotel again…

Bed was dirty. Hair on the blankets. Breakfast was nasty. The best thing was iHop next door.

I have stayed there several times. Always clean, albeit small room, enough pillows, free Wi-Fi works fine, good desk for working, a bit noisy, nothing special breakfast. Pretty good value for the price. Several good restaurants within walking distance.

Rooms dirty they bedding was used and had bed bugs.

Dirty carpets, awkward room layout in single queen rooms, paper cups (not even plastic) no pencil or paper, light switch half out of wall, no place to sit and watch tv.
