Reviews of Quality Inn & Suites Jacksonville-Baymeadows 2*
My husband and I stayed at Quality Inn in Middleboro MA. The room (135) smelled of urine and cigarettes. It was dirty. Shower was cold water only. The furniture was damaged and there was no microwave, iron or ironing board, only the space for one. The coverlet on the bed was stained. Outside doors were damaged and left open. Screens were damaged. This place is a hot mess. Locals claim that it is a den of illicit drug activity. I paid $170 for this stay and I want my money back. I have photographs to support my claim.
Keanna at the front desk was very helpful.
This hotel is very low budget. The lock on my door is busted off as if someone kicked the door open. The toilet starts flushing and stops mid flush. I was in the room and a staff member just walked in in the room. When she saw me she just continued doing what she's doing without saying anything to me and left. I definitely do not feel safe in this hotel.
They are friendly and the rooms are nice. And the pool was open with pool towels.
The place was gross! The room smelt like bleach, the beds looked dirty.
This is where covid came from. Nasty hotel. Got room 120, walked in, took pictures, got a refund.
Good prices and friendly customer service.
Rooms are absolutely disgusting and hotel itself is in poor condition. Management is extremely rude when you bring this to their attention. 11/10 do not recommend.
The rooms are filthy. Hole in bathroom door the size of a pillow and patched up. Holes in the wall, door to room all chipped up and dirty. Got attitude when we asked for more blankets and towels. Would not recommend this hotel at all.
Never would recommend this place. We arrived at 5:00 pm. First of all we go into a room which was stripped and not cleaned called manager she said she would be sure to send this guy next door to us she said she could see him she would call him right now. He sees us from halway with his cart said I will be back to never come back again. We leave to dinner to give them time to get the room ready we come back to room around 9::00pm. No cleaning had been done No bedding… no pillowcases. No towels. No soaps NOTHING! Now this is the disgusting thing I took pictures of feces smeared into the bed. Mold all over the beds… there was some unknown thick white substance dripping down the nightstand and splatters on headboard as well. I went down to desk. The girls response to all of this is was " You picked a good night to do this" Really I picked a good night. She was reluctant to give me blankets or pillowcase gave me 2 sheets said I would have to make the beds myself. No reaction to the feces on the bed? I demanded I have sheets blankets, towels since we paid for these rooms 2 rooms by the way. She finally gave in to go get what I said I needed then I asked for the room to be cleaned since my daughter is Immune suppressed and has to do dialysis through port in her stomach throughout the night and this is why we were up here to get evaluated for transplant.
Not a good place to stay with kids, especially if you are arriving at night. Lots of people outside at late hours talking, smoking, etc. Room door had evidence of being kicked in at one point, with the jam all chipped up. Could tell a hole in the bathroom door was mended poorly. Does not feel safe. No towels when we got here, but honestly, the big thing is the fact that it just doesn't feel safe. My husband walked by drug deals when coming back from our car. The hotel responded on Google that they will do their best to remedy my complaints. To that, here is my response: I do not believe that you will actually respond to my concerns, as they are the concerns of MANY previous guests over the years. I didn't even mention the hand print from a previous guest on the headboard of the bed. You have lost our business, and I sincerely hope you really improve your cleanliness and safety. We did not have issues with bed bugs, but others have.
We checked in to a room which was nice enough. They wouldn’t give me copy of receipt because we booked through Expedia. We left for Stones concert. When we got back at 1am “our” room was lit up, curtains open, bed linens gone & key card wouldn’t work. Went to the desk & nobody knew anything. All rooms were booked except for one. It was the most disgusting place I have ever been in. It was late, no place else to go so we stayed. Thankfully I had brought my own pillow. In morning we spoke to a lady at the desk. All she said was “sorry but you booked through Expedia. Take it up with them. ” Excuse me?! Is this how you treat people who utilize online booking services?
Good atmosphere very laid-back.
Awesome and clean and amazing place to stay.
If I could give no stars I would. Very poor customer service, food terrible and the rooms were nice until we kept having a bug issue and I tried to give y’all a chance by switching rooms and the bug issue was even worse in the next room! Literally bed bugs and my sister goes to make a complaint and y’all tell us that we are asked to leave and will only refund for that particular time frame even though we have been having issues the whole stay! So now it’s 6 in the morning and I am having to find a new hotel and worry about if my personal items have been infected by y’all problem. I will not recommend anyone stay here at any point in the near or far future. Y’all think that solving the issue would be calling for an exterminator? Good luck.
I have written 2-3 reviews my entire life, and this is absolutely one worth writing. I travel for work and stay in a different hotel every night. I have stayed in many cheap hotels that were much much cleaner than this, for literally half the price. I can’t believe their rooms are priced at what they are, and that this is a quality inn. The check in receptionist was extremely rude for no reason. I am someone who likes to spread joy and a smile, and she completely killed my vibe. Mocked me on the phone when I complained of our carpet being wet, our bed sheets stained, our room smelling of mold, and completely old and dirty. Acted like I was asking th world of her when I nicely asked to switch rooms and explained we’d even wait if we needed. She cut me off and responded with a very rude, “I’m making your keys now. ” Then tossed them at me over the counter. We switched rooms and same thing in the second one. We ended up leaving the hotel and bit the bullet. Worst hotel experience I’ve had, and I’ve stayed in 40$/night motels in questionable areas. Receptionist needs a job that is not customer service. I hope she was just having a bad day.
Nice staff. The outer interior looks great. Very unique. The rooms are pretty dated though. The water pressure in the shower was pretty bad as well. They do have a decent size pool though.
I think this was a fair hotel! We reserved 5 rooms and some of the rooms smelled funny! My room smelled just like weed! This supposed of been a smoke free room! 2 more other rooms that my family members had smelled really bad! The carpet smelled like mold and like it had been wet for days! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! Only good about it was the price! You pay for what you get.
This hotel is well managed and well maintained. The rooms were cleaner than any hotel I've ever stayed at. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pool area was nice and relaxing. I mentioned to the breakfast attendant that I was having trouble loading directions on my phone for my drive back to Tennessee, she immediately offered to have the front desk print out directions for me. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here!
The suite we stayed in was AMAZING! It was arranged and decorated very well. The room was VERY VERY clean. The rooms looked as if they were newly renovated. The beds were very comfortable! Having a guest laundry room available was very convenient as we had been traveling for a week. The breakfast was well stocked, very clean, and the attendant, Elaine, was extremely friendly.
I was totally disappointed in my stay. First of all the staff from the desk to the persons that put out the food to the persons that clean the room are 5 star but the rooms themselves were smelly, the walls have holes and are dirty, they need painting, the bathroom had no fan but everything is rusted, come on how can you have such a great staff under these conditions. Please get rid of the mold and do not just paint over it. We can do better, fumigate your rooms, the door at the bottom allowed bugs to come in. Do Better!
Horrible service. This hotel is definitely over priced. I had problems with the shower water not warming up and had to request someone to come fix it at least 4 times and still no one ever showed up. The service is very bad. I was suppose to receive a refund check a week ago and still haven’t gotten it. I’ve even called 3 times and been told I would get a call back and never did. Would not recommend this Hotel.
Don't miss this one. Sharon, Rosa and Rose at the front desk are the best. We've been staying here off and on for over 2 years now for weekend getaways, Jags game weekends or whenever we have an appointment in Jax. Our surprise this weekend was the remodeling began about 4 months ago with new sofas and chairs in the rooms, along with laminate floors and new bathrooms. The pool is always crystal clear, with plenty of shaded areas. A great value amongst many higher priced, lesser nice hotels.
Very nice rooms, had a great stay with an incredible price an a very roomy suite. I had no issue with the cleanliness of my room. ONLY reason I knocked a star off is that the suits either need an ac in both rooms or a simple fan built in the wall like I have seen before… the bedroom can literally be freezing but the room with the sofa and second TV can be hot enough to make you sweat…
What a poor excuse for a "Quality" anything. The stains on the bed looked like the cover had never been washed. The floor… so nasty… I didn't dare remove my shoes. The door was cancer ridden from the inside… At nearly $90 a night… I'd rather Camp in the woods… If you did camp… you'll be in a cleaner environment! The staff complained because they only paid min wage and who works cleaning all day for min wage? Breakfast was the only good thing… That Lady outdid herself… Quality Inns should be ashamed to have this place in their association! One of our other friends was checked into a room that reeked of Pot! … had to be moved. Nasty… Nasty… Nasty Never Again! And they were sold out… due to location. They should either have the franchise taken away or be forced to bring this dump to a living standard…! Nasty… Nasty… Nasty!
We stayed 2 nights here. The room was fine and the mattress was comfortable. The staff seemed busy working. The breakfast was good with basic foods and drinks. The place needs to be updated though, painted, colors changed, some things replaced. Our two main problems were the "water saver" toilet which could not be kept clean and the dank smell of the room, possibly from this and the old carpet.
Very Beautiful and Nice front desk Goddesses help me out with my room. Also were very kind with me forgetting my key at times during my stay. Would definitely recommend for others.
Not bad, but breakfast is the same every day. They don't vary.
Where to start. When we arrived there was a woman passed out in the lobby and there was garbage scattered around the outside of the front entrance. When we went to the desk they did not have our reservation. Lucky for us, they had still had a room available, but we left before even unpacking our bags and asked for our money back. The room was disgusting. There was hair on the floor and what looked like black mold in the bathroom shower. The drain was covered in gunk, the carpet didn't look vacuumed, toilet paper not replaced, you get the idea. We had picked this place randomly to stay with our two small kids as we were driving through town and regret it fully. I do not recommend this to anyone unless you are looking for an hourly room perhaps.
The property was very run down. The staff however, very friendly and helpful to give me a total refund. There was blood and cigarette burns on the bedsheets and other questionable filth on the floor. I was moved to another room but it was way worse! It reeked of tobacco and they called this room a ‘suite’ This would probably be a good hotel for stupid college kids who want to party. If you value comfort and quality, go stay at a Holiday Inn Express. You definitely get what you pay for. Also, the pillows were a disgrace! I would give a one star review, however, the staff was very friendly and it isn’t their fault that whoever owns this place doesn’t care about the property. I would hate to work for somebody who runs such a dump.
I should have realized right away that this wasn't a family hotel. Don't let the pictures fool you. When I asked for my money back the front desk gal was very sweet and didn't ask why. This is not a place to bring a family.
Worst place ever. The photos online are photo shopped. The first thing I saw was prostitutes. Then I get to go to my lovely room. # 324. I opened the door and this smell like I never smelt in my life hit me in my nose. I shut the door then I realized that the latch on the inside of the door was broken like someone kicked the door in. I walk around and check out the room. There was hair in the bathtub not like a hair no like a weave. Holes in the walls and the bathroom door. Then I just said we got to go. And the customer service was horrible after that. They acted like I was making this stuff up. Worst hotel experience ever.
Carpet needs replacing it was all stained. There was a beer bottle cap left on the arm of the couch and candy wrappers in drawers. The refrigerator was missing. The balcony had no door leading to it, but you could possibly fit through the large window if you really wanted to. Linin smelled great and the bed was comfortable. Also, the bathroom appeared clean.
Really bad experience, not typical for quality inn. Room was dumpy, bed was lumpy, smelled musty & very VERY overpriced. If I wanted to stay in a flea bag hotel I would have stayed at motel 6, it would have been better and CHEAPER.
Find another location. The pictures are NOT what you get. Our room was filthy, paint chipping, sticky counters, and more. We reserved a specific non smoking room a month ahead, and were put into a room that was filled with a smokey smell but they tried to put an air purifier in the room to help, but it made my wife's smoke allergy go crazy in the middle of the night so we had to ask to be moved. The other room was as filthy, but at least no smoke, and at 1:30 in the morning we just needed a couple of hours at this point. The only ray of sunshine was the lady that prepared breakfast in the morning, she was kind and sweet and very helpful. But We will never choose to stay at this location again. I would highly advise anyone to spend the extra 20 and go somewhere nicer.
The staff at check in was very friendly. Only one elevator worked. Parking was a little tight. It seemed like a lot of working construction crews were staying here. Some noise issues with them but the staff was on it. Decent breakfast.
Room smelled of smoke, but otherwise quality stay. Breakfast was the standard waffles, powdered eggs, and cereal you get from most hotels at this price point. Pool was nice.
Good price, a bit run down, the outlet cover was gone and it smelled a bit like smoke but was supposed to be a no smoking room. Breakfast was decent. Staff was helpful and friendly. It was a good value for the money but a bit run down and next time we may get a place that costs more so it will hopefully be cleaner and feel like a nicer area.
We just wanted quick and cheap hotel but you get what you pay for. On the way to the room people were smoking and drinking on the floors above us and flicking cigarette butts down. Someone approached us and asked to bum a cigarette in front of our room. I barricaded us inside because we didn't feel safe. The grounds were filthy and once it was daylight we could really see the garbage and cigarette butts. The place is literally a giant ashtray. The room was recently redecorated but our toilet was loose and not attached. There was mold and rust on all the fixture. We had one small towel for both of us. There were holes in the walls and the door had a hole right below the door handle. It's not worth your safety to save a few bucks.
Reasonably priced. Room didn't have towels at all. Cleaning lady was exceptionally rude. Front desk was excellent.
Hello,
I am contacting you because of my recent stay at your Quality Inn in Jacksonville Florida located at 8333 Dix Ellis Trl. First, we contacted the hotel to inform them that we were traveling from Augusta GA and would be a late check in and then we received notice from an individual that was already at the hotel that rooms were being canceled. So, of course that placed us in a slight panic and was able to call and get it resolved. An overall none of it shouldn't have happ…ened because the reservation dept was aware when the reservation was made.
Then upon checking into the hotel and entering our room it had a odor in the room. We assumed it was because of the carpet and sprayed some air fresher to mask the unpleasing odor. When we went into the bathroom we were greeted by ants, a dirty tub and walls and a shower head with soap scum and what appeared to be mold. So, instead of complaining we killed the ant and sprayed the bathroom down using bathroom cleaner with bleach. Not to mention the dingy and stained towels and washcloths. We also had food to place in the refrigerator and once we opened it we were greeted again by another awful stench. What was "the icing on the cake" is when the toilet literally separated from the floor. We contacted the front desk and she said she was sending someone. After approx. A little over 1 hour the maintenance man came and began fixing the toilet.
This place is awesome… Very clean and nice. There is also a variety of restaurants that’s less than a five minute walk. I will definitely stay here again.
Everything smells like mildew. When we first got there, the room we were given was NOT ready; we walked in to a cubicle with stripped down beds with crumbs EVERYWHERE! After 20 min, we were given a much larger and CLEAN room. There were no towels in the room, and after getting treated with terrible customer service from the woman at the front desk, we were able to get everything we needed. I’ll be sure to tell my family and friends personally to NEVER stay at this hotel.
THIS PLACE IS BY FAR THE WORST! For fellow truck drivers this place has no truck parking, Bobtail only. My family and I stayed here. We reserved a room with a king bed and a sofa sleeper using the choice app. The room looked very nice, updated, new furniture, flat screen tvs and the app also pictured a nice fitness room, all of which we look for before reserving. Upon arrival in the room instantly the doors, walls and floor are just filthy. There is what looks like a mouse hole in the bathroom door. Then we discover there is no sofa bed. Here we are with our children and one bed. This place is fully booked as are like every hotel in Jacksonville by 10pm. The lady at the front desk brings some bedding for my child to sleep on, the baby sleeps with us. We used some extra bedding to cover the discussing floor so the baby can play for a bit. Absolutely don't bring kids here! So we figured, well it's bad but we seem to have made it work out although I'm not even sure if the hard mattress was old, we were told afraid to look but thank goodness the bedding was clean and nice. This place only updated furniture and seems to have new linens, they skipped cleaning the place. Now the morning… We are feeling fresh after a good nights sleep. Yes we slept well after all we were exhausted. We have in room coffee, once again "afraid" to try the breakfast provided. We go to the fitness room and the treadmill doesn't work, not surprised. The weights and another lifting machine were fine.

After a 17 hour work day, I lie down on this uncomfortable king size bed and wake up to a ROACH crawling on me. I went to take a shower, the towels were off whiite (dirty) that was great getting drying off with one of those. A lot of sketchy people, would not recommed to anyone. Motel 6 and Super 8 have better rooms.
A little sloppy, lights damaged without repair.
This place is AWESOME! The best customer service out there. I have stayed at many hotels but this place really takes it to the next level. Very professional trained staff, very clean rooms and free breakfast. I will definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family.
The room was clean and the staff was very nice. Only issue is that they were renovating and the new lock on the door was sticking. Other than that it was great.
Good place to stay if you want to see Universal Studios. It's right across the street! It is also near some good restaurants and reasonably near the outlet malls. Staff is super friendly.
The place is undergoing renovation. There are some areas that show wear and tear. But, the room I had was reasonable for the price. The breakfast was what I expected for this level of hotel. I feel I got decent value for my dollar. I expect they will improve the quality of the hotel in the near future.
This was a comfortable Hotel, the rooms are nice and clean, and the staff was very friendly period did not get to use the pool because we are more excited about going to the beach but did look at it and it was pretty nice as well. Not extremely big but decent size. Currently doing a little remodeling on the floor in the lobby but the part that is finished looks real good and pretty slick. Just watch your step. The lobby still looks decent even with the work being done in there. I am the type of person that loves to wake up first thing in the morning and get coffee and grab some breakfast period hardly ever use the coffee machine in the room and would rather get it out of the lobby. Their coffee was great and they had some awesome breakfast. I ate my fair share and was very satisfied when I finished. Even the lady that worked in the kitchen was very helpful as well. Now this is a big hotel so you are going to have plenty of people walking around from time to time and a lot of different types of people but everyone seemed friendly that we came across. All in all the rooms are decent for the price and location and I have no complaints about the area. Have been in a lot better but the areas were a lot better as well as in being on the beach period but had a far worse experience the night before this in a different Hotel Name the stars in that we will never attend again. We will definitely be back to this hotel for another stay in Jacksonville again.
The sheets were not clean.
Terrible accommodations. The rooms are rented out in weekly and monthly rates so it affects the entire business. We rented 2 rooms. They both smelled like stale smoke. One of our rooms had stains on the comforters in addition to holes in the linens. There were tiles missing in the bathrooms. I asked to park my truck in the unloading bay overnight that was lit and in clear site because I didn't feel good about having it in the back of their dark parking lot. They did accommodate my requests which was the only reason we didn't request a refund. This facility needs a ton of work to satisfy travelling clients. If they are able to rent the entire building for weekly and monthly room rentals then continue to maintain the property the way you are and don't let families and travelers in because the expectations are not the same.
Stayed here for one night… we tried to speak to a amanager and noone was available. My kids couldve ODed on somthing that couldve been deadly. When your finding money folded up in places in the room and opening it up to some kind of drug. I would not recommend getting an room here if you have kids. If you do check over your room. We turned the money into the office and the lady just takes it to the trash. Sooo just act like nothing happened.
It was clean it was nice getting great place the Wi-Fi work great going to sleep enjoy the night tonight.
My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights at this hotel. (July 4th weekend) Not bad at all didn't have any major problems. No bugs. I did see comments about bugs in others rooms so I did spray lysol and bug spray throughout the room each day. Not a five star hotel but for sure not a one star either. There was an abundant amount of hood people. They mind their business and we minded ours. Lady at the front desk remembered me from calling about a later check in time, and was very sweet. (I wish I knew her name) The room was pretty not top notch, but decent. I can say the ONLY thing that piss me off was that my pizza was thrown in the trash once we returned to the room. The boxes had half a box of pizza, 4 cinnamon sticks, and 2 bread sticks. Oh the second day we were there I did call an ask for fresh towels took forever for them to bring them luckily I was prepared to go to a pool party and we had our personal towels so we could shower before leaving that morning; However we did have towels that night once we returned, BUT no pizza. I was skeptical about staying at this hotel overall everything was great.
This hotel is nothing like the pictures that are posted on the site! First upon arrival we noticed that the hotel is a dark orange color not the white color as shown on the site. We also noticed that the area where the fountain is supposed to be is almost empty and looks quite dangerous. Once we went into the lobby we were greeted by a less than pleasant smell. We were given our room key (stayed in room 107) and when we unlocked our door we has to force our door open because it was hard to open. Again we were greeted by a very unpleasant smell. The cleaning of the room was non existent. I had to call down to the front desk for more linens because the linens on one of the beds were extremely stained! I was asked if I had the do not disturb on the door because the housekeepers had been out to clean today and had to inform the desk clerk we had just checked in this afternoon so no we did no use a do not disturb sign. The bathroom is filthy the door is gross, there is no vending because it is completely empty and the pool and hot tub just look like they are full of bacteria! Please do not stay here! For $104 take your money some place else because you definitely don't get anything close to your money's worth!
Overall, a lousy hotel. The bathroom door has 2x4s glued to it. The walls are dirty in the room. The coils on the mini fridge in the room are frozen over so it cannot cool. There is a hole in the wall. One half of the curtain is a foot longer than the other and hangs over the a/c. There are cockroaches in the room. When asked for a remote to control the TV, the guy at the front desk smirked and said there was nothing he could do.
Very very bad hotel. The hotel is run down anf very old. The front desk and manager have a lot of attitude and I did not like how they talked to us and other customers. There is no QUALITY in this Quality inn. The rooms were very dirty, for example, the carpet had stains on them and the bathroom had mold in it. I wore my sandals at all time while I stayed in this hotel, if I wouldn't have done that I would have caught a disease. The beds were very noisy and it was a spring bed. Also, the front desk smelled of cigarettes and that is where the free breakfast is in. Also, if you like mushy, cold, and old eggs go ahead and eat at there 5 star free breakfast area. All jokes aside, I did not eat there, I went to a nearby Panera bread which was REALLY GOOD, four stars to that Panera. I have never been at a front desk that ever smelled of cigarettes. Finally, the pool is small but surprisingly the water was clean. The jacuzzi didn't work at all, it didnt have any bubbles in it, it was just standing water waiting for mosquitoes to lay there eggs in (I know that can't happen but I am exaggerating) I urge you not to go to this hotel. Save your money and sleep somewhere else because I wanted to leave the hotel and sleep in the nearby woods but I wouldn't do that because I knew there were animals there but if there were no animals I would've slept there rather than sleep in that "quality" hotel.
The hotel is very good for the price that we pay.
Cheap but needs a lot of improvement. Place is falling apart and cleaning ladies are terrible. Went days without the room being cleaned and had ants. Also located in a very sketchy neighborhood.
All the surrounding hotels were full, at first we were happy to find a room even though it was $100. Decor was nice but walls were dented, 1st floor ice machine near us was broke so we had to carry cooler 3 blocks back to front lobby for ice and floor was muddy and sticky, shower curtain bar was broke so my husband had to hold it while I showered or water poured out on floor. At 3am a very loud roar (like a freight train) started next door where maintenence room was located. We told front desk of this issue and they did not apologize for the disruptions. Hot breakfast advertised but attendant alone, couldn't keep food full and was rude. I waited 20 minutes in line for a waffle when it was my turn waffle mix was out, was told to get what's remaining breakfast is closed. Ugh? The finality was my son left his tablet in the sheets, it took 2 days to get a return call that they did not find it. We are certain it fell behind the bed or wrapped in the sheets. Very frustrating experience.
Excellent hotel Very friendly and helpful staff especially the young Asian lady who help us to get a very nice comfy room with a good rate! Good breakfast. Rooms are clean especially they have new renovated rooms (bathroom is really Nice) and basic things available, good bed. The lobby area is small and a little less well designed for relaxing and spending time. But overall a great value, and we would not hesitate to stay there again.
If you like staying in a ghetto with people yelling outside your room all night stay here. People sleeping in their cars, kids running around the parking lot. Ghetto trash magnet!
Terrible service, rude incompetent employees. The first time my boyfriend flushed the toilet, it he had to shut off the water valve to stop it from overflowing. He called the front desk and about an hour later an employee showed up and handed him a plunger and left. The front desk overcharged my card almost $400 so while I'm in the lobby trying to get it sorted out my 5 year old asks me for juice out of the machine in the lobby. It was 9:10 and while I understand breakfast is only served until 9, it was uncalled for that the attendant had to be so rude and not allow her to have a cup of juice. None of the 5 of us staying had eaten their breakfast. The front desk attendant denied that charges had been made to my card until she was provided each authorizaion number. She then admitted to the charges but said they had been voided. This hotel is not by any stretch of the imagination worth the money they charged to my card. If I could afford the rate they charged, I would have gotten a room at the Hilton rather than Quality Inn & Suites. If you have to stay here I strongly recommend paying strictly with cash to avoid being charged whatever the desk employee decides they feel like charging your card that day.
Where do I begin? I would first like to start off with the good points. The young man that checked us in was very pleasant and accommodating. I was in the city for the first time ever to celebrate my birthday. We had a total of 3 rooms reserved and one of them was dirty. The bed was not made and the room was just not presentable at all. On my second day the house keeping staff came to collect my dirty towels. I assumed that she would return shortly with clean ones. I waited for more than 2 hours for towels and after calling the front desk Mimi said that she would have someone bring me some. That person NEVER showed up. I went to the desk and Mimi was nice enough to give me some clean towels, but oh my God let's talk about this pitiful water pressure. Here I am fully lathered up and the water completely stops! Not even as much as a trickle coming out. This happened Saturday and Sunday. When we got to the desk to check out there were 5 other guests at the desk complaining of over billing and this water issue. There was a lady at the desk named Jay who was very rude and seemed to be in management but I asked her if she was and she said she wasn't but she was doing more talking than the actual front desk gentleman. I was also over charged with an additional "incidental" authorization on my bank card. This should not have happened since I paid the "incidental" fee in cash. I manage a Choice hotel and I am absolutely disgusted at the way those guests were treated as well as myself.
Rooms ok, but not cleaned 100% and Internet is slow. Breakfast is good in the morning.
THIS REVIEW WAS ORIGINALLY POSTED 11/23/2012 UPDATED 12/2/2015 This hmotel (no, not a typo) is located right off 95 and has 30 Mbps Wi-Fi. Those are its only good points. Ok? While checking into the hotel I was immediately greeted by 1940s revival Olde Florida. I was wondering when Rose, Dorothy, Blanche and Sophia were going to pop out! If a hotel ever qualified for franchise revocation this is it! My first hotel reservation had prostitutes in the parking lot, it was swiftly canceled and I made a new reservation (blindly) over the phone. So that you don't get this awful image of me, just know that I now have a rule of not spending much on a stopover hotel — especially when I check in late at night. I just look for something clean and inexpensive — the newer the better. All those savings usually go to buy 1100 thread count linens for my home or are seemingly directly deposited into the account of Whole Foods Market. Back to the review… The front desk man, who was quite the antique himself, was pleasant and fast but I can't help notice that an odd transaction was taking place before I walked in. "Nahh man keep your money, " was what the hotelier said as I walked in the door. The check in process was easy and free of pain. The front desk antique also said, "Now I'm going to put you in one of my best rooms up on the second floor. " As I entered the room, I couldn't help but think that the "best room" proclamation was a joke!
We stayed here last night and we were appalled by the condition of the hotel. The checkin staff was rude, and didn't make us feel welcomed. We arrived to our room and was bombared by the smell of cigarette smoke. The ac waa turned off making the room extremely hot. The red bed balnket had cigarette burns in it along with the pullout couch mattress. We called about the smell and was told we would note that. The bathtub was disgusting and the bathroom fan was extremely loud. The room two doors down from us had young men who pulled the hotel chairs out on the balcony and were smoking pot. This was also a questionable scantily clad dressed women wondering the hotel main floor. The good things were they had a waffle maker and hot coffee. I would not recommend this hotel and will never stay at a Quality Inn again.
A nasty hotel. Room had dirty sheets and food in the refrigerator from who knows when. Was offered new sheets to make my own bed and an even dirtier replacement room. Customer service and satisfaction rated very low.
I am currently staying at the hotel. I would have moved to another hotel but this is closest to my destination here in Jacksonville. The rooms are clean… I don't ever see the staff around but the pool is disgusting. I have been here since Sat and not one person has attempted to clean it or go near it… it is over 100 degrees and my children can't even enjoy the pool. If I could have I would have found another hotel but as I said the convenience of its location and the idea if moving the family and all luggage etc. Has kept us here… Have other family we sent elsewhere and more to come this week. Would have been great to all be here… Its ashame…
Driving up, my husband and I became eery because the location doesn't seem that great and the hotel looks VERY rundown from the outside. We even considered cancelling and going elsewhere, but we didn't. The lobby reeks of cigarette smoke and that continues into the rooms. This is probably just a renovated hotel that was heavily smoked in previously, but the smell remains. Check in was simple and the room was clean. Coming back around 10, we saw a few questionable activities going on around the road and surrounding hotels as we drove up to ours, so we felt very uncomfortable. There was also people lurking around the parking lot as we got out. I wasn't satisfied with our stay, although the room was clean, I considered going to get an air freshener to cover up the smell! Will look for other options next time! Of course we will rate our experience, but we would never let it ruin our weekend.
Breakfeast was perfect omg sooo hot and good I got mines at 9:30 am. Sad part my microwave didn't work and the bed sheets had stains.
Room was okay but the only reason I chose to stay there was because of the sauna/pool. No one informed me it was not working for the week! If I was informed I would have stayed elsewhere, even for for a higher price! Also I asked for a handicapped room, no tub? Okay but I wish I was informed. I wouldn't stay there again. Also the front door (inside) and bathroom door looked as if someone had been kicking it or hitting it with something because all the paint was chipped off.
This was the worst experience I have had from a hotel chain the first room I was put in the bed was slept in and no TV in room, I was moved to the next room the bathroom ceiling was falling and there was very little hot water. I had booked in advance and then the desk flunky did not honor it. I was then charged twice for extras I did not even use. Then the manager was supposed to put the overage back in my back but it was charged again istead of adding it back when I called back she was not there of course. I will never use this chain again.
Old and dingy. Bathroom was dirty and floor was sticky. In need of updating especially for the price. Would not recommend.
Everything is dusty as f*%&. Stains on everything. These maids suck at cleaning; (LAZY) Used hairy bar of soap left in tub, piles of garbage behind the TV. Wifi is active but with no service. Vending machines snacks/softdrinks have been vandalized and out of order. Cell service sucks in room. If this place had no power it would look overly abandoned. Complimentary CRAP to eat. Structurally this place should be condemned. I've stayed in better crack motels in Hollywood, FL. Avoid this place like the plague. You've been warned.
We walked in an thought the price would be bit high but they where reasonable so we stayed. The room is a good size for the price. The bed is very comfortable other other than the pool an spa that need up keeping on the leaves in their an the spa maybe a little hoter than expected but its a good location for the price an 10 min away from the beach.
