I stayed for 4 nights. I loved it. Lexi at the front desk is the most amazing person Ive met in a long time. She was always very friendly and welcoming. I will back very soon.

Very clean and super friendly staff!

I am a Mayo Clinic patient and have been a repeat guest of this hotel for over 2 years. Never really had a problem until today. We received a message from the operations manager informing us that we would be charged for damages to the room. I immediately called back to find out what she was talking about. I was told there was damage to the wall and to the window. I had a bone marrow biopsy done at the Mayo Clinic yesterday…we checked into the hotel after my procedure, went straight to the room, got into my pajamas and crawled into bed. I had no energy to do half of that let alone cause damage to the room. After relaying all of that to her, she then tries to backtrack saying she was only calling to ask if we were aware of the damages before she charged our card. (I have her message saved on my phone…it was accusatory, not a question). I have called Choice Hotels to file a formal complaint since the hotel manager/owner refuses to speak to me. Needless to say, we will no longer be staying at this hotel while in town for Mayo visits, nor will my father who has also been a long time guest during Mayo visits for himself. We have always recommended this hotel to family & friends visiting the Jacksonville area…especially if they are in town for the Mayo Clinic. We will obviously no longer recommend this establishment. It’s disheartening that they would treat long time returning guests like this.

Water pressure was horrible. Too much softener in water. I couldn't get shampoo out of hair or sope all the way off my body. Rooms are extremely small. Bathroom was especially small. The lighting in the room was an issue also. Staff was great and friendly though it wasn't enough to get me to stay again. I had to use the truck stop shower to get sope out my hair and off my body.

The beds are super soft. The rooms are great. The people at check-in was super nice and we got check-in super fast. Love the pool. We got an extra night because we like it here so much.

We loved our stay here (whilst using Mayo Clinic). Everything is clean, beds are made properly, no complaints. The staff were very friendly, efficient, polite and helpful. Trent went above and beyond for us, with a smile and a fantastic personality. Thank you. We will be back!

This is one of the best Comfort Suites I've stayed at. The rooms really are pretty quiet, the staff is helpful and courteous all the time. The food is fresh and it's just very pleasant all-around. Thank you!

Check in was no problem at all. Zack was very friendly and helpful… king size bed very comfortable.

My family booked several rooms this weekend. We checked in Saturday and out Sunday. The hotel is very old and musty. My room had a rather large red stain on the carpet and when I pulled back the sheets there was lots of hair. I called down to the front desk that night and was told that I would have to change the sheets myself. They wouldn’t even bring the sheets upstairs. The following morning I spoke with others and was advised that their rooms too were dirty causing one of them leave the hotel and book elsewhere. The staff is rude and the manager is never there. I have pictures of the hair filled bed as well as the giant cockroach found at the hotel. Across the street is a restaurant. I recommend that you park your car and spend the night there instead.

Staff was awesome. It was definitely one of the best suites, I’ve had the pleasure to experience. So professional and attentive to all of my needs 24/7. They make sure you need for nothing.

Very nice place. Walked in to a clean foyer and friendly staff. We used a room that had two double beds and a pullout. The rooms were clean and nice. The breakfast was excellent. Waffles, eggs, cereal, beagles, etc. Not crowded. Very impressed with the size and cost. We will keep this on our list as places to stay.

RUN! It’s a dump. The ladies at the front desk were nice but this place is terrible. We stayed here for one night while our home is being renovated. They have bugs. I didn’t even eat breakfast. I was just ready to get the hell out of there. We moved to another hotel by the town center for only $10 more.

Staff goes above and beyond to help and please you. I really enjoyed my stay. They just got anew TV can be service with no menu to say which channel is what. Please correct that. My room didn't have the guide channel.

Staff was incredible. Handicap room is accessible and clean and easy to use. Bed was Ultra comfortable. Restaurants were close and it was easy to get to. Felt like that area in town we were in was safe and the parking lot was not crowded.

Crappy pool. No shade at all. For half the price, the Quality Inn on the other side of the interstate is a much better value. The staff here are great except housekeeping, which could use a kick-start. The pool is very small, has cheap plastic chairs, and no shade whatsoever.

This hotel is in a great location and is next to a lot of amenities. You can tell this hotel has been around awhile but unlike other old hotels this one is decently clean. The gentleman at the front desk was awesome and one of the best hotel staff members I've met. Our room layout was kind of weird but not bad at all. Beds were comfortable and clean and the room comes with small microwave, mini fridge, and sink. The pool was great and clean but not heated if you like that type of pool. I would definitely bring my family back to this hotel.

Nothing like arriving after a long day of traveling to be told the room you pre-paid for was over sold and not available. Maybe they forgot how many king rooms they have in the hotel… Seems logical right?

This is a nice clean safe place and affordable management and employs are awesome the owner is even there.

This place was nice and cozy. Everything seemed to be well in order. I only stayed one night, and it was like home away from home after an eventful day.

Stayed one night. The rooms were renovated, but not the best renovation job. They basically slathered dark brown paint all over to cover up old items. The bathroom sink did not have hot water at all, no matter how long it ran or if it was set hot or cold. The shower was okay. Bathroom itself was really small compared to newer hotels, no room to move around, and no towel bar or shelf. Only some hooks on the door. Instead of having pictures above the toilet, they should have a shelf. The room had visible dust in areas, clearly not cleaned too well. I give it an extra star, 2 total since the bed was pretty comfortable and looked clean after a close inspection. Room had a small closet for clothes, couch, and fridge. TV was a flat-screen, but the picture quality was awful. Looked as bad as a tube TV resolution. Breakfast was subpar. Had your basic yogurt, eggs, cereal, waffles, toast and muffins and a few other small items. Not the biggest selection I've had staying out. Overall, I would not stay at this hotel again.

Very nice place. Spacious rooms and bathrooms. TV wasn't very clear nor a TV guide. Food and places around are definitely a plus and enjoyable.

Arrived at the hotel and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is located in a very convenient location right off I-95. Walking into the lobby looked and smelled very clean. Checking in was quick and easy. The front desk clerk was friendly and offered their help in any way possible. Once we got to the room, it was also very clean and smelled great. The size of the room was also a great perk since it was larger than I expected for the price. They also serve breakfast for free! Couldn’t be happier with my stay. Highly recommended!

Broken closet door was requested to be fixed they didn't it fell and pinched my 18 month baby daughter. Switched rooms. 2 days of no room service. 2 days of having to get toilet paper 2 days of getting new towels had to change my own sheets and take the dirty stuff down to the laundry area on my own. The only good marks is that the receptionists and manager was nice and was going to comp 1 night of 5. Even tho we were at the front desk for issues every day.

I stayed in this hotel for several days with my family when we were running out from hurricane Irma. The hotel was completely replete of guest coming as far from the Florida Keys, Miami, Tampa, Fort Myers, etc. It was completely packed. But none of this chaos of people let Mr Jitan and all its staff made the impossible to accommodate and make all those hundred of guests felt safe and confortable all week long specially when Hurricane Irma's strong rain and wind bands passed over us that Saturday night and Sunday morning. I couldn't be more satisfied and pleased in how we were treated specially during breakfast time when somehow they managed to fed all of us and make the impossible to have all of our rooms well endowed and clean in these out off the ordinary days. Personally and in the name of all those lucky guests that we safely spend those days in your hotel we say "THANK YOU". In the most difficult moments it is when the heart and the good will of men and women comes forth and reveals those who are within. Good job guys.

The breakfast Nazi wouldn't let a starving man who just lost his home to Irma get anything to eat a few minutes before breakfast started and she was very rude to him. The guest room was very nice and the pool was clean. They gave us late check-out since we are Platinum members.

I stayed at Comfort Suites a night while my power was still out from Irma. It was a satisfactory experience. The quality of the hotel is middle of the road, looking outdated. The room was fairly large with a separate seating area and two full size beds. The beds weren't very comfortable but weren't bad. My biggest complaint is these hotels with inflated prices while people seek shelter from Irma. I understand the demand pricing model but shows a lack or compassion from these companies. Overall my stay was a satisfactory experience.

The rooms were nice a spacious. Very clean and the breakfast was good as well. You get free Wi-Fi and breakfast. The beds are comfortable and the rooms have a fridge and microwave. I will definitely stay here again.

Great location right off of I-95. Hotel was very clean, not noisy, and staff was friendly. I was very pleased at how quiet it was with it being so close to the highway. Also many restaurants and stores near by for any needs. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Hotel was very nice. Seems to be newly renovated and well taken care of. Room was very clean and comfortable. Access to the highway was great but not too close to make it noisy. My husband caught a bass in the pond behind the hotel.

Job moved me here from Travel Lodge by airport. Nice staff, both elevators work, decent breakfast, only problem I have is my key every few days needs to be redone. Rooms clean & bed is comfortable. Though housekeeping don't take towels daily or replace them & showermat wasn't replaced after they took old one & showed up at 2pm, sick & sniffing, wasn't keen on her touching the pillows I sleep on or how late they came but compared to other hotel I was in for 5wks, this place is a palace.

Front staff nice. Carpet has numerous stains recommend not walking bare foot. Only one elevator works and the vending machine is on the second floor that is being remodeled. Very creepy up there was afraid to get off elevator.

Terrible hotel. Upon check-in they only had one elevator working and it had no A/C. They said that they were in the middle of renovations, but no work was going on at all. We went to the pool to relax a bit, only to find a filthy pool, and a crack head starting arguments and fights with the guests. Not what I expected nor wanted in front of my fifteen year old daughter. The room had no sheets nor blanket for fold out couch. We called the front desk and they stated that they would bring the items right up. I waited over 1 1/2 hours, finally went to bed. The room was only stocked with half a roll of toilet paper which didn't last. The breakfast was also nasty and cold! Once we raised the concerns with the front desk, they smiled and said, "Sorry! " That was it. Made no effort at all to correct or resolve issues. Totally dissatisfied! Do not stay here!

Not worth the price. I booked this hotel for a wedding. Many of the rooms were not prepared. We did not receive maid service. We asked for sheets for a pullout bed and did not receive them. The phone jack does not work. There were questionable women of the evening lurking outside. People at the desk were rude or unavailable. The room overall was dingy.

This is a nice hotel but the workers in the hotel are highly disrespectful. The lady that makes the breakfast is so rude and can't help anyone and refuses to refill the breakfast platters. The cleaning only left only 2 towels for the 3 of us staying in the room. A man came in to fix the fridge and my dad said to come fix it when we leave to go somewhere but he came while we were sleeping. There was a malfunction in the elevators and the alarm went off. The lady in the front desk called the manager instead of the fire department. The hotel smelled and gave me allergies. Also their was mold on the lamps and on the desks. If you have a family or just your self go to the ramada down the street don't come to this hotel it's the worst.

Place smelled not very good but eventually went away after a while. Breakfast lady very disrespectful. Also at the time we were there the elevators were very slow and that same day they almost caught on fire and had to escape everyone was up and up set because the front didn't call the police guest had to after that the smell was very bad alarm kept going off we left to the holiday in down the street and was very good. If u are used to the big hotels and new this may not be the one for u.

I wish there were "dis-stars"… Stayed for a night. The key did not work — the management opened the door with their master key… The sink was clogged. Internet and fridge did not work. The air-conditioner was extremely loud.

The bed was comfy, the room was really nice! best one I've stayed at so far! only thing was really slow checking in. Other than that has a great two nights there!

Place feels like it's being held together by tape, water faucet wouldn't close all the way. And the remotes for the TV don't work (to power on, all others works) not even in the lobby… review was during their renovations.

Horrible! Had to switch rooms twice due to issues and last room still had issues clogged sink and mold on the ceiling. Of course no manager on the weekends when we checked out. I have left numerous messages still no reply it's been a week now! Never again will stay at Choice hotel!

I arrived at another hotel that I made reservations at. When I arrived we were told that they changed their pet policy. Which left me looking for another hotel at 11:30 at night after traveling 12 hours. I called Comfort Suites, they were very accommodating. Reserved me a room over the phone. The room was very clean. The hotel was nice and clean, most areas recently remodeled and a few still being remodeled but it was not messy everywhere. I really appreciated the service and would use this hotel again.

Traveling for work and decided to stay on the less expensive side. The room was horrible, first I was placed in a handicap accessible room, which wasn't what I booked. The bathroom was wheel chair accessible, but not conducive for a 6'+ man. Aside from the moldy smell, which triggered all sorts of allergies, the lighting the bathroom might have been better if using candles. The TV didn't work and only offered (1) channel, as the remote nor the channel buttons on the TV worked. The bed was horribly uncomfortable and the upon inspection the mattress had not been changed since 2000. The room was extremely noisy as you heard every slamming door and conversation. Spend a little more money and stay any where but here!

Beautiful hotel building poorly managed! The bath tubs look like some one painted them with paint a brush! The paint was peeling and still looked wet so I assumed the tub had been vandalized! I picked up the phone to call the front desk the phone didn't work! So I called the front desk with my cell phone! The phone just rang and rang! After my 4th time calling with the phone just ringing and ringing I walked down while the phone was still ringing to see why no one was answering the phone! I get down stairs the white guy at the front desk was walking around with a banana in his mouth eating! He must've had the phone off because I couldn't hear it ring and I was right in front of the desk! I explained to the young man about my bath tub situation and he gave me a key to another room so I could shower there! He explained to me there was a disgruntled guest who must've painted the tub and the same guest painted the elevator too! I got to the room to shower to discover that tub had been sloppily painted to but this paint didn't look wet! Then I realized what was really going on! The reason the paint in my tub looked wet because when their lazy cheap ass's painted it the faucet which by they way was leaky and instead of fixing the leak and then painting, they were to lazy and cheap! The so called paint in the elevator was sparkle because the elevator sided had begun chipping off!

In Jacksonville the night of June 30th, I arrived at 12:25 a. M. On the 1st of July, 2015. Having obtained this booking through Priceline, I was given a room with a king size bed and sleeper sofa. Male clerk was nice and polite. My room through a negotiated price was $52.00 — $37.00 less that the hotel itself. Great deal. Hotel is aged, but not dirty in the sense of trashy. Room was bigger than what I'm used to and had a divider between the large king size bed and sleeper sofa. A refrigerator, microwave and mini-coffee maker were available for my use. I used the fridge and microwave — they worked. Bathroom was clean, but aged. Water in shower could have been hotter, but it was sufficient. Plenty of towels, and a single set of shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Neither the bathroom or room waste basket had a plastic bag in them. Free breakfast with all the basics found in a Comfort Suites. Coffee was good and hot — I had the Bold. Well stocked and a busy area first thing in the morning. They were out of butter for my English Muffin so I enjoyed a generic strawberry jelly. Convenient to I-95 off Baymeadows in South East Jacksonville. I didn't like the fact that the racist guy at the desk he was so disrespectful I paid $150 for my room and I pulled it out of my cleavage he told me he is not going to touch any money I pulled out of my bra I complain and said who are you talking to like that (morris) caught an attitude and told me to get my stuff and get out of here He was very nastY. Very racist he's very sad how am I racist when I have a black girlfriend which was a lie. And why should the customer have to know about who he is dating very unprofessional never go here the housekeepers are very slow they are not on time with the sheets or the towels they have bed bugs the tub are very dirty it's a girl at the desk named Amber she is very s***** and she have sex for moneynever go to this one this is a very bad room very racist people and the dude at the desk he is gay and he talks trash to people all day.

When I stayed there in late April of 2015, it was good to the point I would return. But when I was there I was not greeted at check — in (Morris) as I was passing thru the lobby the same night. The night auditor there that night was awesome we talked for a about 20 minutes until he got a phone call. The building it self is a little outdated but they did a great job I think with there layout and décor. The lady that check me out in the morning was wonderful. I work for choice also so I know the guidelines for the front desk and let me tell ya Morris was slipping a little because I did not feel to welcome since I was never greeted thanked or looked at while I enacted with him.

Great hidden gem in Jacksonville, FL. We are off the beaten path providing a quit and peaceful stay. Come visit us.

I had a wonderful week at Comfort Suites Baymeadows! The property was clean and the rooms excellent.

Very considerate helpful staff. The rooms were nice and the breakfast was good. Make your own waffles.

BEDBUGS I booked a choice rewards night here for 8/25/14 and 8/26/14. At first glance I thought the hotel looked a bit run down for being a Comfort Suites, but it was late, and I didn't feel like making it an issue. Once I got up to my room, I checked under the bed sheets (as I always do) and immediately saw a bedbug. I checked out of the hotel and found a different place to stay. FYI, I called Choice a few days later to get my points rewarded, they obliged. I asked if there was anything else they could do (i. E. Free night, extra points) for the enormous inconvenience and their answer was a flat out "no".

This is not a Comfort Suites. This is am Econo Lodge with a mask. The "breakfast" is laughable (I have seen better ones at Econo Lodges), the elevator is spotty, and the furniture in our room is musty. I am a Choice Platinum member; I have stayed in dozens of Choice hotels over the last few years. This hotel IS NOT what a Comfort Suites hotel should look like.

By far the best hotel in the area in my opinion. The staff is always so polite and professional. I definitely recommend staying here if you're in the Jacksonville area.

The room was very good the customer service was very poor.

Overall everything was great but the leak they had on the second floor could be fixed a Lil bit sooner cause the carpet in the hallway started to smell.
