Comfortable bed, large room, friendly staff. Dirty balcony, rooms could use some cleaning, evening reception was a joke. The evening reception was nothing more than a platter with crackers and a tub of tortilla chips. The old disgusting cigars on the balcony of my non-smoking room and the two bottles of water I am supposed to receive for being a Hilton honors member were never delivered. Not to mention the burn marks on the carpet. Come on guys step it up.

Staff was nice! And breakfast was good. But the pool was down our whole stay. Water cut out on me in the middle of my shower. Water came back on 10 minutes later looking orange. Plates and glasses everywhere on the floors hallway. Room was hot all night even after having it at 65 (its lowest). Wall outlet didn’t work by my bed, and it was literally pulled out of the wall. And had no TV remote in our room. So all together I was a little disappointed.

FREE elaborate breakfast AND FREE happy hour drinks and snacks. This place is a palace too! The inside seating area in the main lobby is huge and beautiful, its like being seated in a Mediterranean marketplace rather than somewhere along Baymeadows. I cant get over the fact that they serve free drinks during their happy hour as well as a nice selection of snack foods. The rooms are top notch too.

Just an amazing hotel. Great breakfast, comfortable beds and staff if very friendly. I suggest not forgetting anything in the room. They claim they can't find anything as important as a medical bag. Not, happy about that. Still a great spot.

This place doesn't disappoint. The breakfast in the morning is large, the manager's thing in the evening has free drinks and snacks. The staff is helpful and nice. The rooms were very clean. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel is a party city love the atmosphere and openness in the lounge and restaurants area. The pool was really Salty like being at the beach, but nice water temperature. The elevator didn't seem great and the rooms are quite small if trying to have more than 3 people in it.

Customer service was good and friendly. The room had many drawbacks and negatives. Concept and design was on point, but missed the mark. Maybe it was just my room, because I booked here by the reviews. Which were relatively high. First star for staff, second star for the breakfast (it was really tasty).

Was not very impressed with my stay at this Embassy. I normally love staying at Embassy Suites, but the breakfast was terrible, there were fights in the bar area, and the room was out dated. I hope they can improve these things if I decide to stay at this property again.

Pros: Room: Clean and HUGE! We stayed in a Double Queen Suite, so it had a separate living room. Food/Drinks: Fantastic free hot breakfast! They offered anything from freshly made omelets to a yogurt bar. They even have a free Happy Hour where you get free drinks and snacks. (And yes, when I say free drinks, I'm referring to alcoholic ones. Crazy, right?! ) We were quite impressed. Waiting Service: On top of it and polite! Con: Front Desk: I'm not referring to all of them. (Chip was wonderful! ) But long story … not so short, we booked our stay through the hotel (not a 3rd party) so we could specify the exact room we were interested in. We even called ahead of time to make sure we could check in at 2 pm instead of 3 pm, which they assured us was just fine. When we arrived, we were told the room wasn't ready and that we would need to come back at 3. A little irritated, I said "Well, what was the point of calling first? " And a different front desk woman asked "Do you want a clean room? ". We were shocked that that's how she treats customers. But since we needed to eat lunch, we headed back out. When we came back at 3, we were then told that the room was still not ready and that it would be another 45 min. (Not one apology for the inconveniences yet) Now we're beyond irritated, so we told them we would look elsewhere for a room. A few minutes later they apologized and found us a similar room ready.

Very good, comfortable and good service.

Free breakfast was excellent. Perfect place to stop right off of 95 on our road trip. Drinks at the bar aren't priced crazy like most hotels also which is a plus. They have a free happy hour, but we got there too late for it.

Awesome experience. Staff was awesome. Clean spacious rooms with comfy bed and great hot water from the shower. Great hot Breakfast. There is always a great experience. This place never lets me down.

I was here as a guest of a conference. The rooms are generic in a good way. They do not distract from the matter of the presentation. The fit and finish of the atrium and the restrooms is very high end. The environment is consistent with more expensive brands. The luncheon buffet was adequate but not stellar. Minus one star for that.

Great rooms. Breakfast buffet has made to order omelets. They juices are really good. The only problem is the juice cups are too small. Making multiple trips can be a hassle when you have plates of food, juices, and muffins. I had a king room but it only had a shower. I would have preferred a shower/tub.

Fantastic service and the breakfast bar is like nothing I've seen at any other hotel. The breakfast alone can save you some money if you have two or three people in your room. They have something for everyone and the food was delicious. One of the most pleasant hotel stays I've had in a long time. The rooms are like small apartments with the bedroom in the back and it can be separated for easy privacy.

Four of us booked the hotel to stay for 2 nights. The hotel is quite large and 2 out of the 3 elevators didn't work. The staff was a little rude at the front desk asking me for a FL license because the address I made the reservation with didn't match my NY ID. She grilled me and looked at me like I was trying to pull a fast one. I simply asked if my NY drivers license was acceptable. I was then told "there is more than one Rob Snyder in the world, how do I know it's you". I handed her the credit card that the reservation was booked with and she didn't say a word after that, not thank you, or OUR ELEVATORS DON't work. The best part was the hot breakfast! Right off 95, convenient location.

We love Embassy Suites. Great size room. Two double beds and a sofa bed. One blanket smelled bad but they replaced it right away. The breakfast wasn't as good as some ESs but solid. The people were friendly and helpful. Not a five star location but worked well for our big family.

Great service. The rooms are spacious and the hotel staff was extremely friendly. What was also great as they have some food and drinks between 5:30 and 7 which made it pleasurable. The location is free south of everything but for the price is worthless day. Only a few minutes away from downtown and the beach.

Our stay was fantastic! The room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was delicious, especially the made on demand omelets. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful! We would definitely stay here, again! We highly recommend this hotel!

Great staff. Very friendly. We had 4 rooms booked for a pre cruise stay. Nice reception at night with snacks and complimentary adult beverages. Clean and large rooms. Definitely staying there on my next trip back!

This is one of the best Embassy Suite hotels I've stayed in. My family went down for a quick get a way to celebrate our anniversary and do some Christmas shopping. The staff was courteous and professional. The lobby is well decorated and the rooms immaculate. Kudos to the management and staff. We'll definitely be back.

When I first walked in, the hotel seems very nice. The food in the bar was great, as were the drinks. We stayed on the premium floor with a 2 room suite. As soon as we left the elevator the carpet looks old, worn, ragged, and dirty. This extended into the room. Our room has worn out tile, stained sheets, missing grout, spots in the mirrors, etc. In the morning we wanted to have mimosas. Room service doesn't begin until 11 am and this was at 1030. I went to the front desk and was informed that their market doesn't have sparkling wine, and then I. A very condescending tone I was informed that the bar doesn't even open until 11. As a diamond member who is at the premium brand for the Hilton chain… I expected much more. I Should have stayed somewhere else.

This is our second stay at this embassy suites. It's better than most of the others were been to in Florida. Rooms are clean, service is good, food is meh. Everyone gets you and is friendly. I don't have any complaints other than we needed to change rooms because the first one smelled bad. Glad we did because the second one was also a little cleaner. Nothing crazy just the little touches that show someone cares about how they clean.

A hotel that is really great in a number of key areas. The check in was fast and efficient. The parking was easy to get to the lobby. The room is in fantastic shape and clean. The room is huge and a true suite with separate living room/kitchen, bathroom, and bed room. They have a fantastic looking indoor pool. I have truly enjoyed my stay here.

The staff here are all very nice and helpful. But, the hotel is a bit dated. And I took off an entire star because I couldn't get the Internet to work properly in either of my suites. In fact, I sat in the lobby (where the Internet works a little) each night for about 3-4 hours, that's where I am right now.

My experience at this hotel was fantastic. The hotel staff went above and beyond making sure that my fiance and I had a comfortable and pleasant stay. The perks offered by the hotel are great and the atmosphere was cozy and pleasant. The rooms were Immaculate and extremely comfortable. The management was wonderful and very professional. Any problems that we had were immediately addressed and handled perfectly. The hotel was not in the greatest of locations so there wasn't much to do around there but it was such a nice place that I didn't mind just hanging out in the hotel all day. We really enjoyed our stay.

My husband, my son and myself stayed at this hotel back at the end of March first part of April. I was there for an all female motorcycle ride. We were happy and satisfied. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and we enjoyed happy hour and the breakfast Buffett. We will be returning to Jacksonville next yr around the same time for the same event. We will be staying at this hotel again!

This place appears to be newly renovated. All the rooms are 2 room suites with a living area when you walk in and a bedroom in the back. The living area has a sofa, chair ottoman and a desk/ table along with a wet bar, mini fridge and microwave. The water pressure is OK but not great (plenty of hot water). Since this is an atrium type hotel all rooms exit to the expansive atrium so noise in the front (living area) room can be heard from echoes in the building but the bedroom was quiet for us. No musty smells and bed is comfortable (looks like the entire interior including carpeting was replaced in the last year). Would stay here again if I needed to be in the area.

This is absolutely one of the worst Embassy Suites I have ever stayed at. Right when we walked in to the front door, there was already someone complaining about the room so we knew that it wasn't a good sign. The room was very old and tacky. It looked like it was Key West Style. There was mold in our shower. There was a huge stain on our carpet, looked like a greenish liquid. And regarding the shower, there was hardly any pressure to the water. Oh but thank god that they had the 20 year old Nintendo 64 to play on. Will not be returning here ever again.

While traveling through Jacksonville in business I stopped into this hotel hoping to print a last minute contract for a client. As a member of this brands loyalty program I assumed it wouldn't be trouble to do so. Upon approaching the front desk the surly, older woman working the front desk did not smile or greet me with any form of welcome. I presented my request and even said I would be willing to pay for the single copy I required. She pulled a sour face and went to check with her front desk manager. Shortly she returned and informed me that I had to be a guest and that I should go to Kinkos. I usually expect a warm greeting at Hilton properties and was realty disappointed with my experience. If you are a business person, do not seek a friendly welcome or any assistance at this location.

Ok location, decent rooms, but need wd-40 on doors, need to move the smoking area away from the side door so non smokers can use it, need to follow through when telling people you'll bring them towels, etc.

Hotel and room were very nice and clean. There is complimentary happy hour and breakfast that were nice and good. Called down to front to ask for extra towels to be brought to the room and never got them. The area for people to smoke cigarettes is literally right outside the side door so non-smokers are forces to walk through clouds of smoke if they are parked on that side. The bar during non-happy hour was insanely overpriced and the bartender himself was a cranky older man who didn't know what he was doing.

Room was great. Plenty big. Water was provided. This was a religious event and the hotel was quiet and dignified. We would use it again.

We enjoyed an event in the conference rooms. It SAS very comfortable.

It really was a beautiful hotel. They even provide free Cocktails every night and free breakfast. Rooms were spacious, much better than what I was expecting.

The room was OK but the NOISE was RIDICULOUS! Glad we only stayed one night! NOT WORTH IT! We won't ever stay here again!

My bathroom was dirty. Front desk resolved issue within 20 minutes. Rooms are renovated and nice but housekeeping needs addressing. Coffee maker, ice bucket microwave should be cleaned more often and grout lines on the tile floors. Your hotel is effectively new again so maybe time to renovate your cleaning standards as well. Please upgrade those pillows in the south wing king suites. Not very comfortable for the $159 daily price tag. Thank you!

AC didn't work. We reserved a crib and didn't get the playpen they use as a crib for over an hour after arriving. These are things we reserved before hand. 2 shanty pillows on a king size bed and the company doesn't give military discounts if the hotel is fully booked. Terrible experience.

They did a great job renovating the rooms. Maids need to do a better job on the little details like grout lines. With the hotel effectively being new again the should strive to keep it that way. My only complaint is I would like a better cup of coffee in the breakfast area. Overall a vast improvement from what the hotel was. I would stay again. Something to think about. I would love to see a breakfast room service. When I first wake up and want a bowl of fruit and cup of coffee the last thing I want to deal with is all the other people in the hotel and a bright lobby. I would be willing to pay for this and would not cost the hotel any money to implement. It would only make you more money…

Remodel was great! The staff was friendly. The complimentary breakfast was pretty good; a little dry but overall okay and a great variety of foods.

The hotel so nice. I love the happy hour after work! The breakfast is amazing. The staff so helpful and my room is a lil as apartment. Whats not to like!

Simply I concur with the other one start reviews. I cannot believe this is a Hilton. Even my office chair was stained and dirty. The lighting is poor both inside and out. This place feels like a dungeon. Terrible staff… Cold hot tub. Only 3 more days, I cannot wait to leave.

The new renovations are great! I prefer the modern aesthetic design they are using. Staff is very helpful and breakfast is good. I travel a lot so ES is spoils you compared to other hotels. And this hotel has the fastest internet I've ever experienced which was a surprise.

I must say I'm extremely disappointed with my stay these past two weeks. No parking on the premises last week and was advised to park at the bank at my own risk and if I parked my vehicle at the front of the lobby I would be ticketed/towed. The front desk agent "young woman", clearly had no regards to the issue at hand and could care less. During my stay here I've encountered the following issues: Housekeeping doing a horrible job with cleaning and changing bedding. Hotel room staying open after housekeeping leaves room, which happened twice. Bedding not being changed and if changed it was changed with Filthy sheets that had red stains on it. It is now 12:07 almost a hour later since I called front desk at 11:17pm, asking for new bedding. The young woman who answered the phone sounded as if I was bothering her and said she would call it. (Which was not done! ) I had to go downstairs twice until I said to Pam, just have them bring it here since they seem to be lost some where in the hotel with the sheets I need. Amongst dealing with dust, no parking, dirty sheets, attitudes from hotel staffs (except for Pam and the young African American gentleman) and hotel room remaining opened this has been by far the worst experience I've had with Hilton. It's aggravating coming from a hard day at work and all you want to do is shower and sleep which could not happen till now. The Southside floor is disgusting. Smells moldy, DIRTY CARPET and HOT!

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The entire staff were rude and treated my family and I so badly. The General Manager was very unethical and rude and made my entire family feel uncomfortable. The entire staff there were rude, no one greeted you or made you feel welcomed at this hotel. I have been staying with the Embassy Suites for years, this has been the worst one. I am personally writing a letter to the CEO.

This was by far the worst experience I have ever encountered in any hotel. I was there just for a weekend. When checking in the front desk lady was very rude and customer service was awful it was as if she did not want to be there. Once in the room there was a spot on my bed (that looked like dry blood) I told the front desk no one came to change it for hours than it was never changed it was left on the bed and they came and put the sheets on the bed didnt even change it. The next day I went to take my kids ot the pool and there is construction inside the pool area around the jacuzzi which is very dangerous the whole pool should have been closed. On top of that pool water is suppose to be clear blue not a cloudy green. Everything to top this I am an employee with hilton and I am very bothered and upset that this hotel carries themselves this type of way. The manager should be ashamed of herself. I would refer this hotel to no one. Only thing that was good out of this was all you can drink cocktails that was it.

Renovations in and out. Elevator to my room was dirty for 2 days. Trash in hallway to my room for both days also. I called for trash removal and clean towels no one ever came!. Room was very nice and roomy. Staff was great.

The service here is amazing. We have visited the hotel in three different cities and this one was great. The renovations that they have done, have definitely lifted the curb appeal. They have a way of making sure that everyone who comes down to eat breakfast is a guest of the hotel. The only problem is that they are in the middle of their renovations on the outside, but everything else was GREAT.

The worst customer service ever. Mr Tom Getman is a racist and he ruined my niece bday sleepover. I would never come here again.

I liked the nice staff. However when I booked the room, they didn't tell me that they were renovating BIG TIME and things are everywhere. Also when I arrived at 3:30pm after checkin, the custodial woman was still in my room cleaning the bathroom and forgot to vacuume. I was booked for two queens but when I got to my room later that afternoon, tired from all the fun we had, I noticed it was two doubles. I wish I could post pictures. However. The staff was nice.

BEWARE WHILE BOOKING Only the Exterior photo on the site is the true photo of this place. The other photos do not exsist or appearance has change truely disappointed! Horriable Place to Stay! This is not what you exspect a Emassey Suites to look like. Even during a remodle the place looks terriable. Carpet in the hallway looks stained and not vacummed. At breakfast your eating in what feels like a construction zone area. At night INSIDE of the builing looks very dark and dimined. My room had nice furniture BUT, 1) A/C hardly worked it stayed hot. 2) Bathtub what looks like a hole repaired. Had white clay puddy that looked like wet toliet tissue left behind. 3) The next Morning I was walking around and in the liviing room is a sink at a bar next to the fridge, Water was leaking under the cabinet and I got my soaks wet just walking around in the room. 4) TV remote wouldnt even work.

Do not stay here. Overcrowded lobby with the renovation. Stayed two nights and the room was not clean. Had to go get more towels on the second day. When I complained, the staff did not seem to care. No apology. Breakfast was served in the middle of a construction zone. No where to park. 1 of the 4 elevators was broken the entire stay. Nothing good AT ALL about this place.

I rate a "Zero". I could of stayed at a comfort inn and had better experience. Had water leaking from ceiling in bathroom. They came to fix (1) time but did not fix problem. Also, currently have construction going on which I highly recommend do not stay during under construction. Definitely, is not worth any amount of discount to stay here. Worse hotel experience ever.

Some much fun one we stayed and had fun so we had got a late chek out then we see a (house roach) we b all v packd up and left and went home and we only paid 21.34 for one night and 89 for the other night.

They are in the middle of a total renovation. Our room was done and it's was great. I have no doubt that 5 stars will be back as soon as they are finished.

The room smells of mold and actually has mold in it, wall sockets and light switches don't work, the place is literally falling apart. The fire alarm went off at 4:45 in the morning we stood in the lobby for 20 minutes until a member of the staff finally came from a back room and said nothing more than "this has been an ongoing issue for days. " Years of traveling in hotels I have never seen a hotel run and maintained so poorly.

Horrible. Doesn't deserve the hilton name. Dirty dank dilapidated and disgusting — dust Is an inch thick. I'm itching. Smells like stank. I have never stayed in such a bad hotel. Moldy ceilings.

I wouldn't stay at this hotel again. We have been to many embassy suites and never have I seen anything like this one. When we arrived there was a large group outside and 2 cops standing near them. As we're walking through the atrium we noticed there was mold on the walls and water leaking down from the ac. We stayed on the 7th floor and in front of our room was another place where there was mold and leaking water. The room was out dated and there were stains on the floor. We decided to go to the "heated" pool which was freezing and a bit cloudy. After a little while we decided we couldn't stay there. On the way out of the hotel we heard a group screaming like someone was killing them. This was at 10 pm in the pool area. I will say that the staff was friendly although when we asked for extra towels it took around 45 min. Wish I would've stayed some where else.

Don't give 5stars away, but this an amazing hotel. Great value without compromise. Very kid friendly too.

We had a great stay at Embassy Suites Jacksonville Baymeadows for our Navy Ships Reunion for 4 days October 2-6, 2013. The staff was very accommodating and frendly, the room was great and the amenities were also great, free cooked to order breakfast as well as a great buffet breakfast, and free cocktails in the evening. This was one of our best stays for our Navy Ship's Reunion! (Robert L Wilson DD/DDE 847).
